      Acero-Martin appoints director; changes management

      Mr. Donald Gee reports

      BOARD APPOINTMENT AND MANAGEMENT CHANGES

      Acero-Martin Exploration Inc. is appointing Len De Melt (AscT, BA, HdM) to the board of directors. Mr. De Melt is an engineering graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree in business and economics, and a diploma of mechanical studies from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has held management positions with 12 mining companies internationally, and was instrumental in starting and building six mines, including Gulf Oil`s Rabbit Lake mine (uranium), Syncrude mine (oil sands), Denison Mines` Quintette (coal), Homestake`s Golden Bear mine (gold), BHP`s Ekati mine (diamonds) and Goldust`s Croiner mine (gold). Mr. De Melt is well known within the mining industry and brings nearly 30 years of project management and mine development experience to the company. He is a director of several public and private mining companies, including Norsemont Resources Inc. and Vena Resources Inc. Donald Gee, president, said: "We are delighted to have Len join our board. He brings considerable experience with exploration and development in Peru. His contacts within the mining and financial sectors will bode well for our company."

      Wan Jung has resigned as a director.

      The company is making the following management appointments.

      Mr. Gee, BSc (geology), chartered accountant, president and chief executive officer

      Mr. Gee is an experienced geologist and has been a chartered accountant for 27 years. His recent past positions included chief financial officer for a gaming company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and financial adviser to a national aerospace company. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

      Jeffrey Reeder, PGeo, co-chairman and vice-president, exploration

      Mr. Reeder graduated in 1988 from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of science degree in geology. He has been involved in the mineral exploration for over 18 years, including more than 10 years in South America. He is a director of other public companies and has provided consulting services to mineral exploration and development companies.

      Mr. Jung, certified general accountant, chief financial officer

      Mr. Jung has been a certified general accountant since 1985. He was the former director of finance with Nike Canada Ltd. and former vice-president, finance, for Qimaging Corp. Mr. Jung currently serves as a director for several public companies. Mr. Jung has resigned as a director to enable the new board appointment mentioned above. Mr. Gee, president, said: "These management appointments will provide strong leadership and focus on the continued development of our flagship property, Pinaya, in southern Peru. Mr. Reeder`s responsibilities will be the development of the Pinaya project, together with new property evaluation and acquisitions. His previous Peruvian experience is invaluable."

      Mr. Len De Malt sieht offensichtlich grosses Potential für ASD. Gemäss der letzten Pressemitteilungen des Unternehmens wird in den kommenden Monaten ein sehr agressives Bohrprogramm durchgeführt. Demzufolge sollten Bohrresultate auch schon bald kommen.
