Auf deren Homepage steht was von einem TV-kanal, einem Vertrag mit Sony. Vielleicht ein Volltreffer diese Aktie.

Zur Erinnerung: Am 15.Juli wurde Richard Li die folgende Frage gestellt:

Is there any other explanation that the Company may have for the price change and increase in volume in the securities of the Company?

      Darauf gab er folgende Antwort:

No, except that we would like to refer to the announcement lodged with the ASX on 5
July 2010, "GoConnect to debut IPTV channel uctv.fm on Sony Internet TV Platform",
and the investor presentation lodged with the ASX on 8 July 2010, both of which only
led to marginal movement on the company's share price in the days following
their lodgment. In the past week, however, Australian TV consumers have been deluged
with advertising messages from a number of new entrants into the IPTV market,
including the Telstra T Box and fetch TV. These messages have now produced a surge
of interest in and awareness of the emerging IPTV industry and the potential significant
value of IPTV operators such as GoConnect. The migration of TV consumers from free
to air and subscription TV to IPTV can be expected to accelerate in the coming months.
As the only listed IPTV company on the ASX, it is then not unreasonable to
expect increasing investor interest in our company's shares.
As mentioned in the previous ASX release, GoConnect's uctv.fm channel, distributed
via the Sony BRAVIA Internet Video service, is expected to secure an audience reach
in 12 to 18 months that will rival that of free to air and subscription TV just in Australia,
while internationally the channel's audience reach will be even more significant. With
the introduction of this new age medium of IPTV, GoConnect's uctv.fm is able to take
advantage of the already established broadband Internet infrastructure in the Australian
households so that the company will have very little distribution cost relative to the "old
world" television media, while still able to generate comparable revenue.
uctv.fm is currently under going testing by Sony Australia and is expected to go live
before the end of July 2010. GoConnect is already working with a number of
advertising agencies to secure advertising campaigns from their clients to be aired on
uctv.fm. Further announcement will be made upon the uctv.fm channel going live.

      The Speculator
      By David Haselhurst
      July 14, 2010

PORTFOLIO POINT: Bold growth projections following a series of mergers may result in a profitable turnaround for investors in this penny-stock entertainment company.

It was a shocked and semi-dressed Speculator who discovered the scope of Internet Protocol TV at his daughter and son-in-law’s home on the rural fringes of Sydney last Christmas.

There were my son-in-law and two grandsons snuggled on the couch in front of a Skype-empowered IPTV in their living room as I wandered through on the way to a pre-breakfast shower wearing no more than was necessary. Promptly, the crowd on the screen erupted in laughter.

“There he is – there’s Pa,” they chorused, as a linked monitor camera transmitted my unintentional appearance halfway around the world to my son-in-law’s gathered family in Yorkshire, England.

Until then, this neo-dinosaur had no personal experience of the wonders of IPTV, but this cheap-to-transmit technology promises to revolutionise communications as we all roll forward into the brave new world.

Thus we arrive at Go Connect (GCN), which last week announced it had entered into an agreement with Japan’s Sony to launch GoConnect’s new IPTV music channel, uctv.fm, on Sony’s global IPTV platform.

This will be accessible via a range of Sony’s Bravia internet video-enabling devices, including Blu-ray players, Blu-ray home theatre systems and Bravia TVs. Sony is launching in Australia its new range of products and downloads of software to existing PlayStations.

In a presentation prepared for GoConnect shareholders last week, the company announced a target to reach an Australian viewing audience of one million within 12 months, or 1.9 million households within 18 months.

The company expects to achieve those targets through providing content, following the merger completed on June 30 of Cashmere Media Pty Ltd and PLW Entertainment Pty Ltd, into the listed GoConnect. The company now claims to be Australia’s largest independent music entertainment company.

Cashmere Media owns the entertainment news website undercover.com.au and claims to be “Australia’s leading music news and information online portal, with an audience of more than 1.8 million unique users in 2009.”

PLW Entertainment is an artist management, music production and publishing company founded by Paul Wiltshire in Melbourne in 1997. It specialises in writing and composing music for recording artists.

GoConnect has claims to have pioneered the delivery of video on the internet through its own patented video delivery technology, GoTrek, and a derivative for mobile phones, M-vision, since 2000. Its listing was spawned out of its major shareholder, the Melbourne-based listed investment services company Sino Strategic International Ltd (SSI).

For most of its financial history, however, it has had negative results but the recent reconstruction and mergers are expected to give the company muscle and substance to deliver revenue from advertising to a recognisable audience with free-to-air access.

Ahead of the reconstruction, in the half-year to December 31, 2009, GoConnect reported a loss of $668,575 on revenue that was down 28% to $241,288 for the half. Accumulated losses totalled $33.4 million. The shares sold down to a 12-month low of $0.009 but have since recovered to trade last week within a range of 2.5–2.9¢.

GoConnect chairman Richard Li (also the founder of SSI) said last week: “Our past is now a distant past. It’s now a different company. As of now we are the only listed internet TV company in Australia; other stations are catch-up TV with repeats of what has already appeared on free-to-air stations.”

GoConnect now has 766,043,356 shares on issue, which at 3¢ gives it a market capitalisation of $23 million. It raised $500,000 in a placement in June at 2.5¢ a share to complete the reconstruction, on top of which 124,340,559 shares were issued to acquire PLW Entertainment and an identical issue to acquire Cashmere Media. Both blocs of new shares (248.68 million shares) are escrowed from sale for 12 months.

GoConnect has remaining cash of about $50,000 plus a $250,000 credit line from SSI. Its “burn” rate is running at about $100,000 a month, but directors predict it will begin generating revenue from advertising within a few weeks.

The GoConnect board now comprises chairman Richard Li, Paul Cashmere (founder of Cashmere Media), Paul Wilshire (founder of PWL), non-executive directors Phillip Chan (30 years experience as a movie producer/director in South-East Asia and life chairman of the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild) and Wilson Wen (a former principal scientist and manager of the Telstra Internet Research Laboratory).

In its presentation to shareholders this month, GoConnect predicts the valuation of the company with its advertising funded, free-on-demand uctv.fm internet channel will ultimately be comparable to valuations of existing free-to-air (FTA) channels. (That is based on one million viewers watching three hours of its programming a week.)

It assesses the market capitalisation per audience member of listed FTA TV companies at a weighted average of $654. It then predicts: “If GoConnect achieves its target of one million audience reach, its enterprise value can be justified at $654 million.”

That’s a long way north of its present market capitalisation of $23 million. I’ve gone along for the ride with the purchase in last week’s market of 100,000 at 2.8¢.

For those who have not yet read every notice this intriguing company has put forth since the December 2010 Investor Presentation, before and beyond, do yourself a favor and get reading.

      Don't delay.

If you cannot quite follow what's been discussed on this thread thus far, lament not. Like me, you may be frequently overwhelmed by the mass of new content when researching a new stock. There are new terms, new markets, new concepts, new figures, locations, and a general broadening of the mind.

It's a task to research new stocks, and that never changes, it never will change. Get used to it. Force the new information into your mindset. Or don't. But if you do read the notices, the ann's as we say here, you might also find it arresting to realise this just might be the real deal...

LG Electronics think so. Sony Bravia think so. Microsoft thinks so, as do many other high content coy's whose dominance in the here and now future world we live in is telling, even electrifying and perfectly readable in the notices GCN has put out.

If you can't see the potential here, you may be legally blind. Seek help in that case. Or stay in a hole for the remainder of the decade. By then GCN will be so ubiquitous you won't need to see!

      Er, is this a ramp?

Not a chance. This is merely a clarion call to those who love being part of creation. LG Electronic and Sony Bravia IPTVs are set for double-digit exponential growth in the next five years with projected reach of near 100% penetration of all tv's sold in that time.

Microsoft and Nokia are teaming up to create a smartphone to rival the i-Phone with a launch in 2012. They have worked side by side with GCN to create an app for the Windows 7 s'phone and are mighty impressed with the coy.

This stuff is not set to sweep the world, it is sweeping the world, visible in the commitment to internet tv by the majors, who have partnered with none other than GCN.

LG Electronics' IPTV remotes have direct access to these coy's: Yahoo!7, Fox Sports, BigPond Live TV....and GoConnect.

It's not just about making big money. It's about being part of the ground floor epic rise of a new idea, a new way of doing something. The minute MENA was mentioned in one of the GCN anns, I realised the importance of this product. Of course you will have read Gerard Lyons' piece for Standard Chartered Bank entitled 'Supercycle Growth'.

Well, if ann's be the food of riches, read on pilgrims.

      Chairman`s Address to Shareholders

2011 Annual General Meeting Chairman’s Address 18 November 2011 Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to extend a warm welcome and thank you to all of you for joining our twelfth annual general meeting of shareholders at our new premises in Prahran, Victoria. At our last AGM, I was remarking on how the global economy had recovered strongly from the Global Financial Crisis and investors’ confidence was rebuilding. A year later, global investors are much less confident due to the European financial crisis.

I am however, a strong believer that what we have witnessed in the past 6 months in the Euro Zone, is the residual effects of the GFC and that like the Asian Financial Crisis of the mid 90s, which brought on significant structural changes to Asian economies, leading to healthier and more vibrant Asian economies subsequently, the Euro Zone economies can be expected to come out of this current crisis with their structural improvements leading to a healthier Euro Zone in the long term. The recent European financial crisis, however, has over-shadowed the significant developments that have been taking place within the Internet industry. Underpinning these developments is the maturity of broadband Internet penetration, but perhaps more importantly, the rapid adoption of mobile high speed Internet with the proliferation of smartphones.

According to Nielson, Smartphone penetration in the US in November this year was already at 43% of the mobile phone market while in Australia, the comparable market share is at about 41%. It would not be surprising at all, that within 6 months, mobile computing via tablet PCs and telecommunication via smartphones will account for 75% of the user population. GoConnect has been at the forefront of Internet and telecommunication technology development for the past 11 years.

Accordingly, GoConnect is able to take advantage of the rapid development of the Internet and telecommunication world and derive first or early mover advantages for the company. GoConnect commenced its IPTV services in April 2000 with the launch of a free ISP service as a means of recruiting a mass audience for its patented GoTrek IPTV platform. GoTrek was delivering targeted interactive video commercials for advertisers targeting by age, gender and location as early as April, 2000 and generated click through rates of up to 100% which was unheard of in the advertising industry even to this day.....

int. dazu, mal nen komm. eines HC- users zu reflektieren..........

badlandsbrute been out all afternoon so not sure what you ask,
I assume it is to explain the significance of P1 valuation to GCN

p1 has a 50/50 joint venture with GCN for their entire business,
now P1 are at present getting a valuation done on their proposed business, this is part of the listing process, ie they are not doing an IPO so to satisfy ASX listing rules they must have at least 500 shareholder each with $2k worth of P1 stock.

so P1 gave free stock to GCN holders, and had a formula that meant they need the P1 shares to be valued at 30 cents in order to satisfy the $2k holding for each shareholder

So that is why the valuation.
now because GCN have a 50% share of business, a P1 valuation virtually means a valuation for GCN as well.
or for the P1 joint venture,

GCN have other business as well that are not associated with P1,
and WiFi will be announced soon, well the details of it as the MOU has been announced some time ago.

So this is why the valuation has been mentioned a lot, this is due out an tick of the clock,
once this valuation is out a party is to become a cornerstone investor who will actually put in money to buy shares, this is why they didn't raise money in an IPO, this should back up the valuation with real money.

once the valuation is out they can then apply for listing,
the significance in that for GCN is that once that happens P1/GCN can launch this business.

You probably have a lot more questions, if you find some of my earlier posts, probably the ones with a few thumbs up they will have some information that will help you understand,

if any other questions fire away.

look I do the same thing sometimes, buy a stock that looks like rising and plenty of interest but don't know the full story and have to ask for an update, heh that's what H/C is for, no problems.

I have done a lot of research on this, asked a lot of questions to the chairman and that beats the hell out of research.

this should have multiples from current price, and plenty of them.

I was told early on that this will get to a dollar, I laughed that off,
now after learning more about the business model and scope of it I am not laughing it off, but would be happy with 20-40 cents,

certainly not selling for under 10 cents.

there is some serious players getting into this and not for a few pips.

when this business starts, the P1 side of it, the sp could easily be 20 cents, then I think bigger fish might do some numbers on GCN and P1,

I am hanging out for WiFi, this could be huge,
so if GCN is worth north of 30 cents due to P1 joint venture,
what would they be worth if the WiFi is a goer.

so the steps through 3, 4, 8, 10 cents is just working up to getting somewhere close to real value.

don't look at pips, as Bassy said wait for the cent rises., once 10 cents broken then half cnet rises, not pips.
