      Hallo!

Hung further stated that, "Besides supplying power to the central highlands region, construction of the complex would help to improve road traffic, water way transport and boost tourism activities."

The project would also improve the living standards of ethnic minorities in the area by contributing to socio-economic development.

Cavico Corporation Engages Hawk Associates For Investor Relations
Wednesday September 6, 8:30 am ET
First Vietnamese U.S. Publicly Traded Company

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2006--Cavico Corp (Pink Sheets:CVCP - News), Vietnam's largest non-government owned engineering and construction company, announced today that it has engaged Hawk Associates Inc. to provide investor relations consulting and services. Cavico will be featured for investor awareness and information on the Hawk Associates website, http://www.hawkassociates.com, in addition to the American Microcap Institute website, http://www.americanmicrocaps.com.
Cavico is the first company in Vietnam to be publicly traded in the United States. With a backlog of more than $500 million in construction project orders, the company has grown its revenues from $2.8 million in 2000 to $45 million in 2005. Cavico has forecast revenues of approximately $70 million in 2006 and $130 million in 2007.

Ha Quang Bui, president, chairman and CEO of Cavico, said, "Retaining Hawk Associates is an important step forward in gaining investor awareness in the United States. Frank Hawkins, Julie Marshall and their experienced team at Hawk Associates provide top-of-the-line investor relations services, including two state-of-the-art websites, an opt-in e-mail alert system, professionally crafted press releases, courteous and informative representatives to answer investor questions and a well-planned investor relations program. They will help us tell our story to Wall Street and provide a valuable resource for investors. We encourage anyone interested in our growing company to sign up for Hawk's e-mail alert system to keep informed about our latest news."

Frank Hawkins, CEO of Hawk Associates, said, "Vietnam's transition to a market economy has created rapid economic growth with GNP expanding at around 8% a year. The country's recent trade agreement with the United States and its pending membership in the World Trade Organization are likely to provide an additional boost to economic growth and further accelerate the country's infrastructure construction boom.

"The country's demand for energy, transportation, housing and electricity has expanded rapidly during the past eight years and will continue to do so in the years ahead. We believe that Cavico's role in building highways, bridges, housing, hydropower plants as well as coal mines in Vietnam's burgeoning economy can be compared to some of the strongest engineering and construction companies that emerged to help build America's infrastructure during the Great Depression. We believe Cavico is emerging as the Bechtel of Vietnam.

"The company is currently trading on the Pink Sheets, but has engaged an auditing firm to create the necessary financials statements to support a listing on a senior U.S. exchange. In the meantime, Cavico offers a unique opportunity to make an early investment in the Vietnamese economy, which Merrill Lynch says could be the fastest growing economy in Asia in the next 10 years. We look forward to working with Cavico as it develops and matures in the U.S. financial markets," Hawkins said.

Information for investors, including an investment profile about Cavico and free e-mail alert notifications, are available at http://www.hawkassociates.com and http://www.americanmicrocaps.com.

Cavico Corporation currently employs over 3,000 people working in the fields of infrastructure construction. This includes construction of roads, bridges and underground works. Currently the company is investing into hydropower and cement production plants in Vietnam. Founded in 2000 with an initial capital investment of VND 60 billion (equivalent to US $4 million) Cavico has been growing very fast, ranking among the leading companies specializing in infrastructure projects in Vietnam. Together with other state-owned corporations Cavico has been awarded construction contracts for many critical hydropower projects in Vietnam. Currently the company has total assets that have grown to over $64 million equivalent, consisting mainly of construction equipment from leading firms such as Caterpillar (America) and Atlas Copco (Sweden). Vietnam, which continues to grow rapidly, is faced with many challenges related to electricity and material resources for construction. The result has been a construction boom, especially the construction of hydropower and cement production plants. This boom has created huge opportunities for construction companies such as Cavico.

OT: Here’s some Christmas holiday research for you.

If you don’t want to wade through some research on another stock then move on NOW.

The FRPT long-timers will know that I have been and continue to be a FRPT long and I don’t recommend anyone sell their FRPT to buy this risky stock.

During the year I search for one low-priced, “story” stock to buy at this time of year that is "under-the-radar" but has some promise for the coming year. Most times I look for a down trending stock to buy during the "tax-loss selling" period around Christmas (like FRPT last year). This year is a little different as Cavico Corp. isn't exactly downtrending but the story was compelling so I kept coming back to it

If you remember that last year at this time I was jokingly trying to get FRPT down to “fitty”. It never got there but I did pick up a lot of shares below a dollar.

No way is CVCP.PK the “Next FRPT” but it seems to me that the stars are lining up for a run in 2007.

Keep in mind as you read the following story/research that President Bush signed the trade/tax break bill on Wednesday that included normalized trade relations with Vietnam.

This is a very risky investment. In addition to the normal risks of investing in a pink sheet stock this company is in the socialist Republic of Vietnam although it seems that some large companies are starting to invest in Vietnam with a notable factory being built by Intel. CVCP could be a complete bust but it could be a big gainer also. It is trading around $.60.

      Here's the story:

Cavico Corp(CVCP.PK) is the only US publicly-traded, Vietnamese company. They are currently undergoing an audit with the intent of seeking a senior US exchange listing. I hear that their auditors are Jaspers and Hall who are/were coincidently FRPTs auditors. I am figuring that they may need to do a reverse split in order to get their stock price up before a senior listing. They have around 90 million shares O/S but the float is only around 8 million shares. If they did a 1 for 10 reverse split I’m not sure how they would handle a float of only 800,000 shares so it’ll be interesting to see how they solve that problem. Maybe they will sell some insider shares.

Their revenue growth is strong with $45 million actual in 2005 and estimated $80 million 2006, $142 million 2007 and $160 million in 2008. Of course, all of these numbers are per the company and are in the company's Fact sheet. They have recently revised their estimates up.

The country of Vietnam is also the story since they seem to be moving quickly into the global economy. Cavico is in the engineering and construction infrastructure business, which should be in great demand in that country.

My thinking is that this stock could run as the story unfolds. That is IF it unfolds.

Very few investors seem to be interested in CVCP at this time. Member participation from Investor Village Friday morning: CVCP - 7 members / 7 guests (last 24 hrs)

Here is some research. The Fact Sheet is particularly interesting:

What I DON’T like about Cavico:

The company that helped them go public is Providential Holdings, Inc. (PRVH.OB).

An Executive VP with Cavico is related to the CEO of PRVH and PRVH got 4 million shares to help them get listed in the US. The related Cavico VP has also received some shares in PRVH in the last year. PRVH has also entered into several JV’s with Cavico.

Both companies share the same Huntington Beach address.

PRVH also sold 731,344 shares of Cavico Corp. stock during their quarter ended September 30, 2006. Several days’ worth of volume.

A little too cozy for me but I’ll take my chances

I will be bringing this relationship to the attention of the CEO and board of directors of Cavico in Vietnam so they are aware of this situation.

There is always something about a stock I don’t like and this is it for Cavico. There were also many things that I didn’t like about FRPT.

PM me if you want to discuss CVCP more.

Cavico Wins New US $1 Million Roadwork Contract

Cavico's Record of On-Time and On-Budget Completion Secures Additional Work at the US $260 Million Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Project

LOS ANGELES, CA and HANOI, VIETNAM -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/10/07 -- Cavico Corporation (PINKSHEETS: CVCP), a Vietnamese company working in the fields of infrastructure development, including the construction of hydropower facilities, dams, bridges, roads, mines and urban buildings throughout Vietnam and the Pacific Rim, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Cavico Bridge & Tunnel, has secured a contract to provide construction services for the 'Package Number 4, Flood Prevention Road DT 616 and Nuoc Xa Bridge Construction.' The value of the new contract is estimated at US $1 million.

The project is located in Bac Tra My, Quang Nam Province, 43 miles West of Da Nang City. "This package plays an important role in completing the other works in the $260 million USD Song Tranh 2, 190 MW hydropower plant project," commented Mr. Ha Quang Bui, CEO of Cavico. The package includes building an additional bridge 112m long and a road 1.5 km in length. Company officials estimate the project should be completed within twelve months. Cavico will commence work on the contract package beginning this month.

Bui added, "Cavico's ability to complete its projects on-time positively impacts our efforts to win new contracts and secure repeat business from our clients. We are proud of our employees and their work ethic. We know that Cavico's strength lies in its people, and we will continue to grow and prosper through their dedication and hard work."
