De Beira to Prepare Technical Reports for Colombia and Ecuador Properties
DE BEIRA GOLDFIELDS INC. ("DE BEIRA" or the "Company") (OTCBB: DBGF)(FWB: D1Q)(WKN: A0JDS0) advises that the Company plans to release NI43-101 compliant reports for the recently acquired Titribi property in Colombia and, the Minanca property in Ecuador, which is presently subject to due diligence.
The Company's Chairman, Klaus Eckhof is currently undertaking a site visit at Minanca, with a view to completing the due diligence by July 7.
De Beira would like to clarify the recent cease trade order by the British Columbia Securities Commission. The cease trade order only applies to residents of British Columbia as the Company has not yet filed a NI43-101 compliant report. The Company is currently focusing on two properties in South America as described below, with a current resource inventory in Colombia and Ecuador now in excess of 10 million oz Au or Au + Cu equivalent (not to NI43101).
Titiribi Gold / Copper project, Colombia
The Company has an agreement to earn up to 70% interest in the Titiribi Gold / Copper project in Colombia, South America. The agreement with the Goldplata Group of companies allows De Beira to earn an initial interest of 65% by sole funding US$8 million exploration expenditure within a 3 year period. After earning 65%, De Beira can elect to sole fund further expenditure in order to earn another 5% (giving it a total interest of 70%). The additional interest will be earned upon the earlier of completing a bankable feasibility study or spending a further US$12 million, both within a period of no more than 3 years. Limited modern exploration was undertaken by various companies (Ace Resources Ltd and Goldfields of South Africa) who during the period of sub US$300 gold price delineated a low grade Au-Cu resource. Goldfields drilled 2,500m and estimated a drill indicated resource (not to NI43 101) of 220 million tonnes @ approximately 1g/t Au (Au + Cu equivalent) for approximately 7 million oz (porphyry associated Au-Cu-Ag-Mo mineralisation).
Minanca Mining Gold project, El Oro Province, Ecuador
Highlights Include:
- Existing resource base in excess of 4 million oz (not to NI43101).
- Located in Southern Ecuador where exploration activities have recently generated world class discoveries eg. Aurelian Resources Inc. 189m @ 24g/t Au at its Fruta del Norte Project.
De Beira Goldfields has entered into a letter of intent with privately owned Emco Corporation over the poly metallic Minanca mining property located in the highly productive Portovelo-Zaruma gold belt in the El Oro province of Ecuador. The Portovelo region is host to a 15 km long system of poly metallic epithermal veins. Locally, the vein system covers an area approximately 7 km long by 1 km wide, with mineralisation hosted in highly fractured host rocks with quartz and carbonate filling.
The Minanca property has been continuously mined since 1845 and mining in the region dates back to the 1600s'. Mineralisation on the Minanca property includes gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead occurring in quartz calcite veins within an andesite host rock. The mine has 3 principal veins, varying in widths from 0.6m to 5m and length between 500m and 800m, of which only the Abundancia vein is the focus of current mining activity. Numerous stockwork veinlets separate the major veins, and these stockworks are currently undergoing evaluation for an open pit-mining scenario.

zurück. Die Mineralisierung auf der Minanca-Liegenschaft beinhaltet
Gold, Silber, Kupfer, Zink und Blei, die in Quarzcalcit-Adern in
einem vulkanischen Gestein (Andesit) enthalten sind. Die Mine hat
drei Hauptadern, die in der Breite von 0,6m bis 5m und in der Länge
zwischen 500m und 800m variieren, wobei nur die Abundancua-Ader den
Fokus der derzeitigen Minenaktivitäten darstellt. Mehrere Äderchen
teilen die Hauptadern; diese Äderchen werden derzeit für einen
Übertage-Abbau-Plan untersucht.
