Amerix Announces up to 6.7 g/t Au in Tailings at Vila Porto Rico

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 17, 2007) - Amerix Precious Metals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:APM)(FRANKFURT:NJG) has received very positive results from its sampling program of the Ouro Roxo tailings at the Corporation\\'s Vila Porto Rico Property in Para State, Brazil. The laboratory has reported gold grades from 84 samples (55% of all samples), which range in value from 40 ppb to 6,701 ppb over one-metre sections and average 1,741 ppb (1,000 parts per billion equals one gram per tonne).

John Andrews, President and CEO of Amerix stated: "The values in the Ouro Roxo tailings are much better than anticipated and these results suggest that the processing of this material might have quite attractive economics. The Ouro Roxo tailings represent a small portion of the material which has been accumulated at the Vila Porto Rico Property during more than 50 years of surface mining. We are encouraged that this material holds meaningful Future potential."

The tailings on the Vila Porto Rico Property have been amassed over more than 50 years from garimpeiro mining that operated at a highly organized level prior to Amerix assuming ownership of the Property. Amerix has an agreement with the Ouro Roxo Cooperative to share the capital and operating costs, and the profits from any processing of the Ouro Roxo tailings on a 70:30 basis, Amerix:Cooperative. A total of 37 Banka sample holes have been drilled on a 200 metre by 40 metre grid. The tailings vary in depth from 2.1 metres to 8.5 metres and average 4 metres. It is estimated that more than 1 million cubic metres of tailings exist in the Ouro Roxo tailings impoundment, equivalent to approximately 1.9 million tonnes.

The best intersections included:

- 3.369 g/t Au over 4.0 m;

- 3.992 g/t Au over 4.9 m; and

- 3.005 g/t Au over 6.0 m.

The assay results from the Ouro Roxo tailings program that have been received to date are provided on the Corporation\\'s website at http://www.amerixcorp.com/ouroroxotailings.pdf.

The preparation and chemical analyses of the tailings samples were performed by SGS Lakefield/Geosol in Itaituba and Belo Horizonte, Brazil, an ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9002 certified assayer.

The technical and scientific information herein has been reviewed by John Andrews, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, P.Eng. (Ontario), a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

Etwas ruhiger ist gut...

Fakt ist: Die Ergebnisse sind vielleicht nicht sehr gut, aber gut
und bei einer MK von immer noch unter 10 Mio. Eur reicht
hier schon ein deutliches Lebenszeichen für einen starken
Anstieg.

Die 0,2 haben wir übrigens schon hinter uns...

Bin neu bei Amerix, deshalb folgende Frage zu den Ergebnissen.
Es handelt sich nicht um Bohrergebnisse sondern Oberflächenentnahmen (Bodenproben), ist das richtig?
Die angegebenen Gramm sind das z.b. 3,4 oder 3.400gr über die angegebenen Meter?

Du siehst das schon richtig! Bodenproben; und es sind 3,4 g/t
über die angegebenen Meter.
@ elHorno: Amerix besitzt daran einen 70% Anteil...führt aber
immer noch zu einem Wert von 0,45 wobei Dein Cut-Off von
1,0 g/t wohl zu konservativ ist...

Ok, die 70%, respektive die 30% Abzug habe ich nicht berücksichtigt.
Der Cut-Off von 1,0g/t war jetzt nur eine Annahme, die ich aber lieber zu konservativ als zu übertrieben tätige.

Les ich das eigentlich richtig, daß diese 1,9 Mio Tonnen nur ein
kleiner Teil des Materials sind, das zur "Aufbereitung"
zur Verfügung steht?
Da könnten sich bei ähnlichen Werten für den "Rest" noch
ganz andere Möglichkeiten ergeben, oder?
