Hi, die Zahlen wahren schlecht!! (-0.03).

Aber Applix hat zwei neue Joint-Ventures zum Vertrieb
ihrer iEnterpise Software abgeschlossen, also ihr CMR
Geschäft gestärkt. Das erklärt den Anstieg um ca. 15%
an der Nasdaq. Hat deshalb auch nichts mit der Linux-
Phantasie von Applix zu tun.

Applix hat angekündigt, seine Abteilung für Anwendungssoftware unter dem Namen VistaSource auszugliedern.
Das neue Unternehmen soll sich auf das hauseigene Applixware Office konzentrieren und so Microsoft Office und SunStar Office
direkte Konkurenz machen.
Vista Source soll Ende 2000/Anfang 2001 an die Börse gehen.

Ich habe das gleiche Problem wie du.... ich weis nicht wo man Informationen über Applix bekommt. Ich weis nur das ich jetzt schon über 50 % im Minus bin und mir überlege og ich raus soll. Was meinst du zu Applix?

ich hab` was bei Investor-News gefunden, was mich nicht unbedingt froehlich stimmt. 50% habe ich sicherlich nicht verloren, weil ich erst sehr spaet eingestiegen bin. Ich dachte eigentlich bei 8€ waere der Boden gefunden, aber da habe ich mich noch ein bisschen verschaetzt. Jetzt geht`s mir mehr darum, ob man von Applix auch Ergebnisse hoert. Applix Announces Estimated Results for Q2 2000

WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 6, 2000--Applix, Inc. (NASDAQ: APLX), a global eBusiness solutions company, announced today that it expects revenues for the second quarter of 2000 to be approximately $11.6 million and it expects to report a loss in the range of $0.28 to $0.32 per diluted share for the quarter. The second quarter estimated revenues compare to 1999 second quarter revenues of $14.2 million, a decrease of $2.6 million, or 18%. The Company attributed the lower than expected revenues to a more significant decrease ($3.6 million) than anticipated in its legacy Applixware business. This was offset somewhat by eBusiness revenue growth, which is expected to increase by about 13% over the 1999 second quarter. The Company attributed the lower than expected eBusiness revenue growth to closing fewer deals in Europe and the Pac Rim. In addition to the revenue shortfall, the Company reported that its higher than expected loss is also due to increased spending, particularly for eBusiness and VistaSource marketing and re-branding, sales force initiatives, as well as higher costs associated with the planned VistaSource spinoff. The Company expects to announce its final results for the second quarter on July 20, 2000.

Alan Goldsworthy, President and CEO of Applix commented, "I am very disappointed by this quarter`s revenue growth and bottom line results, but I am very pleased with the progress we have made in transitioning Applix. We experienced disappointing results in converting our pipeline of prospects this quarter, resulting in delayed orders not lost orders, which I attribute to the transition of our sales organization. Our average eBusiness deal size is increasing, the response to our new positioning and messaging has been very positive with our customers, partners and the press, and we have cutting edge technology on which to build solutions that deliver incredible value to our customers. I am confident in our direction, pleased with our progress and I remain optimistic about the revenue growth potential of the future." He went on to say, "We continue to develop our sales force and we are expanding our partner base in all geographies. Although we expect that our legacy Applixware revenues will continue to decline over the remainder of 2000, we expect to see improved revenue growth for the eBusiness product lines throughout the remainder of this year."

Hi,

so ein Mist. Schon wieder ein mieser Kandidat nach Corel, Steag,
Sparta etc. Langsam verzeifel ich an meiner Entscheidungsqualität. Ich hatte auf einen turnaround mit dem neuen Chef spekuliert. Die Vistasource-Ausgliederung ist wohl eher ein Klotz am Bein und kostet nur, ausserdem läuft Applixware nicht. Die sollten das abstoßen und sich nur auf die CRM-Software konzentrieren. Jetzt bin ich leider dick im Minus, wie solls noch weitergehen? Ankh-Morpork, was machst du? Ich werde wohl verkaufen.

ich bin bei 16,50 eingestiegen - vielleicht tröstet das den Einen oder Anderen. Ich werde nicht verkaufen -sollte ich flüssig sein, kaufe ich nach!

Warum weiß ich nicht (wahrscheinlich will ich den Verlust nicht wahrhaben)

@flow-solver ... heute hat Applix einen Deal mit Comdisco abgeschlossen. Auf einer reinen Linux-Desktop-Serie wird Applixware angeboten. Auch wenn ich im Moment nicht an einen grossen Erfolgsschub im Office-Bereich glauben kann, bleibe ich erstmal investiert. Immerhin hat die Boerse ja scheinbar erstmal auf die Meldung reagiert. Ueberall rauf mit zweistelligen Prozentzahlen ... ich bleibe erstmal drinn und Harre den Dingen die da kommen. Applix ist ... so sehr man an den einzelnen Unternehmensbereichen zweifeln moechte ... unterbewertet und hat vor allem im CRM-Bereich Chancen auf mehr.

@Gierman .. imho hast Du ohnehin auf ziemlich lange Frist investiert, sonst waerst Du schon laengst draussen. 16.50 EUR.. das wird dauern. Mein Kursziel ist erstmal bei 10 EUR angesiedelt, und das wird erst kommen, wenn sich der Erfolg der Projekte in Zahlen lesen laesst.
