      Hi @all,

      http://www.bentonresources.ca

Mar 09, 2007 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

BENTON RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV:BTC) was up 15.25% today on just under 600,000 shares traded.

Benton Resources Corp.(the "Company") is pleased to report that, subject to regulatory approval, it has entered into an agreement (the "Agreement") with Grandcru Resources Corporation ("Grandcru") whereby Grandcru has the right to earn an initial 50% interest (the "Initial Option") in the mineral claims consisting of the South Sibley Block, Block "B" and Block "D" (collectively the "Property") in the Sibley Basin area (commonly referred to as the Nipigon Basin). The claim blocks are located less than 100km north east of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Once Grandcru has exercised the Initial Option, it will have an option to earn a further 10% interest in the Property (the "Second Option").

Under the terms of the Agreement, in order to exercise the Initial Option, Grandcru shall spend $500,000 in respect to the Property by: (i) reimbursing Benton for the costs of staking the claims comprising the Property; and (ii) conducting, by the first anniversary of the Agreement, exploration work on the Property in an amount equal to $500,000 less the costs incurred pursuant to (i) above. Provided the Initial Option is exercised, Grandcru may exercise the Second Option by: (a) giving notice to Benton, within 30 days of exercising the Initial Option, that Grandcru wishes to exercise the Second Option; and (b) by spending an additional $500,000 on exploration within 12 months of giving such notice.

Upon Grandcru having exercised the Initial Option, if Grandcru elects not to exercise the Second Option, the parties will form a 50/50 joint venture for the further development of the Property. Upon Grandcru exercising the Second Option, the parties will form a joint venture for the further development of the Property with Grandcru having a 60% interest and Benton having a 40% interest.

"Marathon PGM Corp's deposit, a resource of 2.75 million ounces TPM (Total Precious Metals = Platinum+Palladium+Gold) and 500 million pounds of copper (MAR PR Jan. 21, 2007)"

      Hi Leute,

The King Lake property is host to numerous nickel-copper showings and is currently the focus of a joint venture between Benton and Teck Cominco Limited ("Teck Cominco"). guten tag

      Hi tryionfg,

      Aktuelle Situation der ausstehenden Warrants:
      Benton warrants expire April 12

      2007-04-04 18:23 ET - Warrants Expire

Effective at the opening, April 10, 2007, the share purchase warrants of Benton Resources Corp. will trade for cash. The warrants expire April 12, 2007, and will therefore be delisted at the close of business April 12, 2007.

      TRADE DATES

      April 10, 2007, to settle April 11, 2007
      April 11, 2007, to settle April 12, 2007
      April 12, 2007, to settle April 12, 2007

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC, BTC-WT) and Stillwater Mining Corp (SWC) enter into equity financing and Participation Agreement on the Goodchild Ni-Cu-PGE Project.

THUNDER BAY, ON, Apr 16, 2007 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) --

Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Participation Agreement (the "Agreement") with Stillwater Mining Company ("SWC") whereby SWC has the exclusive right to earn up to an initial 50% interest in the Goodchild and South Goodchild Ni-Cu-PGE projects (collectively the "Goodchild Project"). SWC can earn the 50% interest by completing three separate financings into Benton in the aggregate amount of C$6.0 million dollars over a three year period. Each financing will be priced at a 50% premium to the 20 day trailing average of Benton's share price prior to the completion of each of the three financings. SWC will have the right to take their interest to 70% by incurring a further $24.0 million in exploration or completing a feasibility study on the Goodchild Project, which ever first occurs. Benton will remain as operator for the first three years during the initial period of the Agreement.

The specific terms of the Agreement, which are subject to regulatory approval, are as follows:

To earn a 50% interest in the Goodchild Project, SWC must complete the following financings at a 50% premium to the 20 day rolling average of Benton's market share price to be determined immediately prior to the completion of each financing:

Upon signing: A C$1.6 million private placement of which C$600,000 is to be spent on the Goodchild Project and credited to SWC's initial earn-in requirements. This financing will occur immediately and has been priced at C$1.24 per share.

First year anniversary: A C$2.0 million private placement of which C$1 million is to be spent on the Goodchild Project and credited to SWC's initial earn-in requirements.

Second year anniversary: A C$2.4 million private placement of which C$1.4 million is to be spent on the Goodchild Project and credited to SWC's initial earn-in requirements.

Upon fulfilling the requirements to earn an initial 50% SWC and Benton shall form a 50/50 joint venture (the "Joint Venture") for the further development of the Goodchild Project subject to SWC's right to earn a further 10% interest in the Joint Venture (to 60%) by directly funding an additional C$4 million in exploration expenditures over the following two year period.

Provided it earns a 60% interest in the Joint Venture SWC will have the right to earn a further 10% interest in the Joint Venture (to 70%) by directly funding over the following three year period an additional C$20 million in exploration expenditures or the completion of a Feasibility Study, whichever occurs first.

At Benton's sole election, following completion of the Feasibility Study, Benton may cause SMC to arrange total project financing for placing the Goodchild Project into commercial production by granting SWC an additional 5% interest in the Goodchild Project (to 75%). In such case, SWC would be reimbursed for Benton's proportionate share of the financing from 80% of Benton's share of net revenue from the Goodchild Project with interest at the prime rate of the Royal Bank of Canada plus 1%.

Benton is extremely pleased to have entered into the Agreement with SWC. The significant premium to Benton's share price that SWC will be required to pay on the C$6 million of financings reflects the potential of the Goodchild Project to host a Ni-Cu-PGE deposit of economic proportions. Benton is currently planning a detailed airborne survey to be flown in the near future and an aggressive summer exploration program.

The Goodchild Project is located approximately 15 kilometres north of Marathon, Ontario and is host to several nickel showings with grab samples assaying up to 6.72% nickel (Falconbridge/Xstrata personnel). The large ultramafic intrusion measures approximately 5 by 8km and has numerous untested airborne electromagnetic anomalies detected from a survey completed almost 20 years ago. Benton will keep their shareholders updated on developments at the Goodchild Project as exploration moves forward.

Clinton Barr (P.Geo.), V.P. Exploration for Benton Resources Corp., is the qualified person responsible for this release.

Stillwater Mining Company Announces Multi-year Investment in Benton Resources Corp. and Participation in the Goodchild Ni-Cu-PGM Project
Monday April 16, 7:36 pm ET

BILLINGS, Mont., April 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- STILLWATER MINING COMPANY (NYSE: SWC - News) announced today that it has entered into a Binding Letter of Intent with Benton Resources Corp., under which Stillwater will invest in Benton through one or more private placements over a multi-year period. Stillwater will initially invest US$1.4 million and will have the option to invest additional amounts in future years. Through these investments, Stillwater will finance and have the option to participate in Benton's Goodchild Ni-Cu-PGM Project, located near Marathon, Ontario.

Benton, (TSX: BTC.V - News), headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is an exploration and development company with a diverse property portfolio of Canadian projects prospective for nickel, copper, platinum group elements, gold, and uranium.

Commenting on the agreement, Francis R. McAllister, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stillwater said, "An initial US$1.4 million investment in Benton will provide Stillwater with a desired venture opportunity at the Goodchild Project, as well as an equity position in a respected and progressive young exploration organization with a growing portfolio of base and precious metal exploration projects. Benton has an experienced management, exploration and technical team well-positioned in regions which we believe have discovery potential."

Mr. McAllister continued, "Stillwater to date has primarily focused on the expansion and development of its existing PGM mining properties, and the growth of its PGM recycling business. While these internal efforts will continue, we are pursuing external mine growth opportunities, including both generative exploration projects such as those Benton conducts, as well as later stage development or operating properties."

The agreement is subject to review by the TSX Venture Exchange.

Stillwater Mining Company is the only U.S. producer of palladium and platinum and is the largest primary producer of platinum group metals outside of South Africa and Russia. kan sich sehen lassen der chart :D

The gold (Au), platinum (Pt), and palladium (Pd) numbers for drill holes BO-07-23 to BO-07-25 inclusive stated the individual result in parts per billion (ppb) when they should have been stated in grams per tonne (gpt). However, the values for the total precious metals (TPM = Au+Pt+Pd) were correctly listed in grams per tonne. The table below lists the corrected values for the three drill holes and Benton apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Also sollte man wohl direkt in Kanada kaufen, oder?

BENTON OPTIONS GOODMORNING LAKE URANIUM PROPERTY AND JOINT VENTURES TO GRANDCRU

Thunder Bay , Ontario CANADA, May 11, 2007 /FSC/ - Benton Resources Corp. (TSX - VX: BTC), (the "Company") is pleased to announce that, subject to regulatory approval, the Company has entered into an option agreement (the "Agreement") with Ken Fenwick, Don Leishman, Karl Bjorkman, and Don Devereaux (collectively the "Underlying Owners") to purchase a 100% interest (the "Option") in six mining claims located near Innes Lake, Ontario known as the Goodmorning Lake property (the "Property"). The Option is subject to a 3% Net Smelter Royalty in favour of the Underlying Owners, 2% of which can be purchased for $500,000 for every 0.5% purchased (the "NSR").

Under the terms of the Agreement in order to exercise the Option, the Company will (i) pay the Underlying Owners of the Property a total of $90,000 cash over a three year period; (ii) issue, over a three year period, 160,000 common shares of the Company to the Underlying Owners of the Property (or if Benton assigns its rights under the Option to a third party, 160,000 shares of the third party); and (iii) spend a total of $360,000 on exploration expenditures on the Property over a four year period.

Subsequent to entering into the Agreement with the Underlying Owners, Benton entered into an option agreement (the "Grandcru Option Agreement") with Grandcru Resources Corporation ("Grandcru") whereby Grandcru has the option (the "Grandcru Option") to earn a 60% interest in Benton's interest in the Property.

Under the terms of the Grandcru Option Agreement, in order to exercise the Grandcru Option, Grandcru shall (i) pay the Company $8,650 and complete the cash, share and exploration expenditure requirements that Benton has under the Option, including the issuance of 160,000 shares of Grandcru in lieu of the 160,000 shares of Benton otherwise issuable.

Upon Grandcru exercising the Grandcru Option, the Company will have a 40% interest in the Property and Grandcru will have a 60% interest, subject to the NSR.

The Goodmorning Lake Property is contiguous to the western boundary of the South Sibley block, one of three blocks of claims in the Sibley Basin area near Thunder Bay, Ontario, and which Benton has previously optioned to Grandcru. The Property hosts numerous uranium showings in the footwall Archean rocks associated with either quartz-hematite breccia in fault structures or pegmatitic dike swarms. The mineralization consists of uraninite in pegmatite and uraniferous flourapatite in the fault zone. Historical assays completed by the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) in the 1980s returned values of up to 0.57% U3O8 in grab samples associated with the quartz-hematite breccia. The occurrences are situated in granitic terrain with high background uranium levels. The granite continues eastward beneath the unconformity at the base of the Proterozoic-aged Sibley sediments located immediately adjacent to the uranium occurrences. As the new optioned property is contiguous with the South Sibley claim block of the Benton-Grandcru option /joint venture it will be covered by the upcoming airborne survey scheduled to start immediately.

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC-V) starts drilling on Flying Loon Gold Zone
Tuesday May 22, 1:53 pm ET

THUNDER BAY, ON, May 22 /CNW/ - Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton") is pleased to announce that it has started a 1000-metre, three-hole diamond drill program on the Flying Loon project located in northwestern Ontario. The drill program will follow up on the gold zone intersected in the final hole (FL-06-10) of last year's drill program. Hole 06-10 was designed to test an 800m long magnetic anomaly with a coincident weak electromagnetic response and intersected 4.3 grams per tonne gold over 1.6 metres. The true thickness is unknown at this time. The current drill program will test the mineralization in both strike directions and vertically below the zone, and is expected to be complete prior to the end of the month. At that time, the drill rig will be mobilized to Benton's Bermuda property where it will join a second rig to initiate a minimum 20,000-metre program.

      Thunder Bay , ON June 07, 2007

      FSC / Press Release

BENTON RESOURCES CORP. (BTC) IDENTIFIES LARGE CONDUCTIVE ANOMALIES ON KING LAKE NICKEL PROPERTY 60KM NORTH OF VOISEY'S BAY DEPOSIT

Thunder Bay , Ontario CANADA, June 07, 2007 /FSC/ - Benton Resources Corp. (TSX - VX: BTC), ("Benton") and its partner Teck Cominco Limited ("Teck Cominco") have received a final report from Aeroquest Limited on the recently completed airborne survey at the King Lake Nickel project in Labrador, located 60 km north of the world class Voisey's Bay nickel deposit. The King Lake nickel project is host to numerous, high-grade nickel-copper showings that have returned up to 6.8% copper and 1.9% nickel. The airborne geophysical survey located several strong electromagnetic anomalies on the property including a large conductive zone which measures greater than 400 metres wide by 1000 metres long. This large conductive zone is coincident with a moderate magnetic anomaly, a rusty gossanous outcrop, and many nickel-copper-cobalt lake sediment anomalies similar to those in the vicinity of the Voisey's Bay deposit. The conductive zone is also spatially related to the outer rim of a large intrusion and east-west oriented structures, comparable to the environment noted at the Voisey's Bay deposit.

Benton is excited about the results and believes the conductors could represent possible nickel-rich and copper-rich sulphide zones. Ground follow-up efforts are scheduled to begin in mid to late June. Airborne survey maps which demonstrate the similarities between King Lake and Voisey's Bay can be found on Benton's website at www.bentonresources.ca/.

"The initial eight assays previously released (BTC PR May 24, 2007) returned encouraging grades up to 0.21% U308. Since then new samples collected from a recent discovery of mineralized hematite breccia returned assays grading up to 1.01% U308, 71.0 grams per tonne (gpt) silver, 0.20% copper, and 0.15% lead. These samples also contain elevated values for molybdenum (up to 440 ppm, background 12 ppm), arsenic (up to 139 ppm, background 5 ppm), and rare earth elements cerium (up to 466 ppm, background 60 ppm), and lanthanum (up to 221 ppm, background 12 ppm)."

hier der link zur kompletten meldung:

      http://www.stockhouse.com/news/news.asp?newsid=5567825&tick=…

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC) Acquires More Ground at the King Lake Project in Labrador

Last Update: 12:22 PM ET Jul 5, 2007

THUNDER BAY, ON, Jul 05, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Benton Resources Corp. (CA:BTC: news, chart, profile) ("Benton") is pleased to announce that they have staked an additional 788 claim units (19,700 hectares) contiguous to the west side of the King Lake nickel-copper project located 60 km north of the world class Voisey's Bay nickel deposit in Labrador.
Benton and their partner Teck Cominco Limited are currently prospecting and geologically mapping the King Lake project, an initial work program that is scheduled to continue to mid-July. This early stage ground follow-up has confirmed the presence of local net-textured to semi-massive sulphides occurrences coincidental to the gossanous outcrop and large conductive anomaly reported on earlier (PR June 7, 2007 and June 22, 2007). Assays of the grab samples are pending. Subsequently, Benton elected to increase their land holdings in the area.
The King Lake Nickel project is host to numerous, high-grade nickel-copper showings that have returned up to 6.8% copper and 1.9% nickel. Airborne survey maps which demonstrate the similarities between King Lake and Voisey's Bay can be found on Benton's website at www.bentonresources.ca.
Benton remains excited about the potential of the project. Results of the initial follow-up program of prospecting and mapping will be released to the public domain as they are received and compiled.

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC) Confirms Copper, Nickel and Cobalt Mineralization at the King Lake Project, Labrador

Last Update: 10:02 AM ET Jul 19, 2007

THUNDER BAY, ON, Jul 19, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Benton Resources Corp. (CA:BTC: news, chart, profile) ("Benton") and partner Teck Cominco Limited ("Teck Cominco") have received assays from an initial four grab samples collected from their King Lake project in Labrador and submitted to Accurassay Laboratories of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The samples verify that copper, nickel and cobalt mineralization is associated with the large conductive anomaly previously reported by Benton (PR dated June 7, 2007). The four samples were collected over a 750 metre strike length associated with a large, highly gossanous area. Individual assays returned values up to 2.02% copper, 0.86% nickel and 0.11% cobalt. Benton remains optimistic about this early stage project and is anticipating the complete results of the initial sampling program completed as follow-up to the airborne survey that was flown over the property in April of this year.
The King Lake Nickel project is located 60 km north of the world-class Voisey's Bay nickel deposit in Labrador and is host to numerous, high-grade nickel-copper showings that have returned up to 6.8% copper and 1.9% nickel.

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC, BTC-WT) Finalizes Participation Agreement and Completes First Equity Financing With Stillwater Mining Corp.

Last Update: 12:51 PM ET Jul 20, 2007

THUNDER BAY, ON, Jul 20, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton") (CA:BTC: news, chart, profile) is pleased to announce that, further to its news release of April 16, 2007, it has finalized its Participation Agreement (the "Agreement") with Stillwater Mining Company ("SWM") whereby SWM has the exclusive right to earn up to an initial 50% interest in the Goodchild and South Goodchild Ni-Cu-PGE projects (collectively the "Goodchild Project") by completing three separate financings in Benton in the aggregate amount of C$6.0 million dollars over a three-year period at a 50% premium to the 20-day rolling average of Benton's share price prior to the completion of each of the three financings (the "Market Price"). SWM will have the right to take their interest to 70% by incurring a further $24.0 million in exploration or completing a feasibility study on the Goodchild Project, whichever first occurs. Benton will remain as operator for the first three years during the initial period of the Agreement.
In accordance with the Agreement SWM has completed the first financing of Cdn$1.6 million consisting of 1,290,322 common shares at a price of $1.24 per common share. The common shares issued to SWM are subject to a four-month hold period which expires on November 11, 2007. Benton is, under the Agreement, required to spend $600,000 of the first financing on the Goodchild Project.
To earn its 50% interest in the Goodchild Project SWM must complete: (i) a second financing of Cdn$2 million on July 10, 2008 at 50% premium to the Market Price at that time, of which Benton will be required to spend Cdn$1 million on the Goodchild Project; and (ii) a third financing of Cdn$2.4 million on July 10, 2009 at 50% premium to the Market Price at that time, of which Benton will be required to spend Cdn$1.4 million on the Goodchild Project.
The Goodchild Project is located approximately 15 kilometres north of Marathon, Ontario and is host to several nickel showings with grab samples assaying up to 12.6% nickel (collected by Falconbridge/Xstrata personnel in September 2006). The large ultramafic intrusion measures approximately 5 by 8km and has numerous untested airborne electromagnetic anomalies detected from a survey completed almost 20 years ago. Linecutting crews are currently establishing grids over the airborne anomalies in preparation for prospecting, geological mapping, and ground geophysics to help prioritize diamond drill targets. Benton will keep their shareholders updated on developments at the Goodchild Project as exploration moves forward.

      abgeht.

Benton to acquire Rex Lake Ni-Cu property in Ontario

      2007-12-06 13:35 ET - News Release

      Mr. Stephen Stares reports

BENTON RESOURCES CORP. (BTC) ACQUIRES NEW NI-CU PROPERTY

Benton Resources Corp. has entered into a binding letter of intent to acquire the Rex Lake nickel-copper (Ni-Cu) property located approximately 90 kilometres north of Kenora, Ont. The property consists of eight unpatented mining claims totalling 85 units. Benton can earn a 100-per-cent interest by paying $50,000 and 30,000 shares over three years. The property is also subject to a 2-per-cent net smelter return (NSR) royalty payable to the vendor, of which Benton can buy back 1 per cent for $1-million. Historic mineral deposits in the area include the past-producing Gordon Lake Ni-Cu-PGE mine, past-producing Werner Lake Cu-Co-Au mine and the Norpax Ni-Cu-PGE deposit located along strike 15 kilometres, 19 kilometres and 24 kilometres east of the Rex Lake property, respectively.

Historical shallow diamond drilling completed by Eastern Mining & Smelting in 1956 intersected 23.9 metres (m) grading 1.02 per cent Cu and 15.1 grams per tonne combined precious metal (interpreted as silver) at approximately 60 m vertically below surface. Diamond drilling completed by Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd. during the late 1980s intersected 1.17 per cent Cu and 9.5 g/t Ag over 29.5 m (at approximately 50 m vertical) that included 2.04 per cent Cu and 5.3 g/t Ag over 11.95 m. An undercut drill hole intersected a metamorphosed ultramafic (peridotite) that yielded 22.8 m grading 0.1 per cent Cu and 0.31 per cent Ni (at 140 m vertical), suggesting better potential for nickel mineralization. All intervals are core lengths and true thicknesses are currently unknown. Surface channel sampling completed by Atikwa Minerals Ltd. in 2003 returned anomalous levels of platinum and palladium values (0.09 to 0.145 g/t). The mineralization host is described as metamorphosed intrusive mafic-ultramafic (gabbro, pyroxenite and peridotite) units in sulphide-rich metasediments of Archean age.

Benton believes the property geology is highly favourable for nickel-copper mineralization and is currently organizing grid establishment to be followed by ground geophysics for this upcoming winter season. The groundwork will be used to delineate diamond drill targets. This new acquisition conforms to Benton's focus of directing exploration efforts toward nickel-copper mineralization.

Clinton Barr, PGeo, vice-president exploration for Benton, is the qualified person responsible for this release.

Benton drills 1.18 g/t TPM over 32 m at Bermuda

      2007-12-13 10:09 ET - News Release

      Mr. Stephen Stares reports

BENTON INTERCEPTS WIDE ZONES OF COPPER AND PGMS 1200M NORTH OF MARATHON DEPOSIT

Benton Resources Corp. has released the results from the first six of 15 diamond drill holes completed on the Claw Lake mineralized zone, located on the northern portion of the Bamoos area of the company's 100-per-cent-owned Bermuda property.

Results from these six drill holes continue to demonstrate potential that the Bermuda project may host significant copper (Cu) and platinum group metals (PGM) mineralization. Diamond drill hole CL-07-13, drilled 1,200 metres north of the Marathon deposit, intersected multiple zones of significant PGM and Cu mineralization including 32.0 m grading 1.18 grams per tonne TPM (total precious metal equals platinum (Pt) plus palladium (Pd) plus gold (Au)) with 0.39 per cent Cu. A separate intercept from this same hole returned 1.69 gpt TPM with 0.28 per cent Cu over 17.0 metres.

These drill results demonstrate similar grades and thicknesses to that of the Marathon deposit located to the south which now has an in-pit resource of 3.54 million ounces of TPM and 585 million pounds of copper (as shown in Stockwatch Nov. 29, 2007). Results for the remaining nine drill holes will be released as they are received.

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC) Acquires Past Producer
Thursday January 10, 10:57 am ET

THUNDER BAY, ON, Jan. 10 /CNW/ - Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company has acquired by option and staking a large land package that includes the past producing Hope Brook Gold Mine located on the southwest coast of Newfoundland. The Company has staked the favourable gold-bearing trend that hosts the Hope Brook deposit for approximately 30 kilometres and has entered into an option agreement with Quinlan Prospecting (Q.P.) of Newfoundland to acquire 3 separate claim blocks, one of which includes the Hope Brook gold deposit. To earn a 100% interest in the 3 claim blocks Benton will make cash payments to Q.P. totaling $170,000 and issue 200,000 shares over 4 years. The Company will pay a finder's fee to a third party for being introduced to the project of 25,000 shares and 25,000 warrants exercisable for 24 months at a price of $1.00. The optioned claim blocks and the staked claims are subject to a 2% NSR payable to Q.P. (the "NSR") with an advance royalty payment of $10,000 owing per year to a maximum of $100,000 commencing upon Benton having exercised the option to acquire the 3 claim blocks. Benton has the right to purchase 50% of the NSR for $1 million.

The Company's management is excited about this unique opportunity as the Hope Brook deposit was the Province of Newfoundland's largest gold deposit and it is management's view that there is significant potential to discover additional deposits in the area. The Hope Brook deposit operated from 1987 to 1997 and produced 752,826 ounces of gold plus a copper concentrate from 1993 to 1997. Previous exploration by Royal Oak Mines near the mine during the last few years of mining operations resulted in the discovery of several areas of significant gold mineralization. Significant occurrences include the 240 zone, located approximately 1km southwest and on strike of the Hope Brook deposit. Historical drilling returned grades of up to 3.88gpt over 41 metres and 6.98gpt over 5.8 metres and shallow drilling along strike from the former open pit area intersected up to 14.3 meters of 4.64gpt (NL Gov assessment files). Since the closure of mining operations in 1997 little or no exploration has been carried out for gold in the area.

The Company is planning an aggressive and extensive exploration program, and has begun an extensive regional compilation of the entire belt which will incorporate all existing drill holes, mine workings, geology and assay results of the mine area. A large airborne survey will be flown over the entire project as soon as possible, to be followed up with ground exploration programs including geological mapping, prospecting and diamond drilling. The company will keep their shareholders informed as this project moves along.

"Pacific North, Benton To JV On Swayze Nickel Project
      February 12, 2008

Mr. Harry Barr of Pacific reports

PACIFIC NORTH WEST CAPITAL CORP. AND BENTON RESOURCES CORP. SIGN A JOIN VENTURE AGREEMENT TO EXPLORE THE SWAYZE GREENSTONE BELT FOR NI-CU-PGM MINERALIZATION

Pacific North West Capital Corp. and Benton Resources Corp. have entered into a joint venture agreement to undertake exploration on the Swayze nickel (Ni) project. The Swayze joint venture project is situated in the Swayze greenstone belt, approximately 100 kilometres (km) southwest of Timmins, Ont., and incorporates about 50 townships. The Swayze greenstone belt represents the western extension of the Abitibi greenstone belt, which is the host to numerous ultramafic-hosted Ni deposits including the producing Redstone mine (Liberty) south of Timmins, as well as the newly discovered Golden Chalice occurrence.

The Swayze joint venture project was initiated by both companies to include each of their propertyholdings within the project area. These holdings will continue to grow through the staking and optioning of selected properties that have the potential to host nickel, copper and PGM (platinum group minerals) mineralization within the belt. Exploration programs will be designed to identify and test priority areas within the project boundaries. The Swayze is underlain in several areas by ultramafic flows and intrusions, some of which host historical nickel showings including the joint ventures' Tooms showing which has historically reported 2.5 per cent nickel over 1.6 metres within a drill intersection of 0.63 per cent nickel over 7.3 metres.

Pacific North West Capital and Benton have entered into a 50:50 joint venture agreement whereby both companies agree to bear all expenditures and participate in a single-purpose unincorporated joint venture for the purpose of carrying out all mineral exploration for a three-year period, totalling a minimum of $1.2-million.

Benton will act as operator for the project and will be responsible for carrying out all exploration activities.

      We seek Safe Harbor."

      Benton to drill Bark Lake

      2008-02-22 09:36 ET - News Release

      Mr. Stephen Stares reports

BENTON MOBILIZES DRILL TO NEW HIGH GRADE NICKEL, COPPER, PLATINUM AND PALLADIUM DISCOVERY AT BARK LAKE

Benton Resources Corp. has mobilized a drill to the Bark Lake project. The first-phase drill program will consist of five to seven holes totalling a minimum of 1,000 metres of drilling. The program will focus on testing moderate to strong induced-polarization anomalies coincidental with magnetic anomalies. These anomalies lie within close proximity to high-grade base and precious metal surface samples, which returned individual assays grading up to 1.5 per cent nickel, 1.2 per cent copper, 2.6 grams per tonne platinum, 1.4 grams per tonne palladium and 0.7 gram per tonne gold. Twelve out of the 16 samples taken from the area returned results higher in platinum than palladium. Management believes the project has excellent potential and results of the diamond drilling program will be released as they are received.

Benton Completes Option and Joint Venture Agreement with Marathon

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunder Bay, Ontario: Benton Resources Corp ("Benton", BTC:TSX.V) is pleased to announce that it has completed the Option and Joint Venture Agreement on the Bamoos Lake -- Claw Lake -- Four Dams ("BCF") Property with Marathon PGM Corporation ("Marathon", MAR:TSX)

      Highlights:
·the planned Main Zone pit outline has been expanded by approximately 200 m to the north
·this added resource, as well as the definition of additional resources encountered in the in-fill drilling on the Main Zone has the potential to add years to the life of mine, or to encourage a higher through-put rate than presently being considered
·Marathon now expects the definitive feasibility study to be completed by Q3 of 2008
·the BCF Property adds 4 mineralized zones and a large untested area with potential magnetite-hosted PGM mineralization

"We have just increased the mine life by eliminating the boundary pillar and adding tonnage to the Main Zone. This is a win-win situation for both Marathon and Benton as we continue to build Canada's next PGM mining district," commented Phillip Walford, Marathon's President and CEO.

      BCF Property Drilling:

An 8-10,000 m drilling program will commence on the BCF property at the north end of the Marathon Main Zone within the next two weeks. The objectives are to create a resource by a combination of in-fill drilling and exploration holes along strike and down dip of known mineralization. This new resource will be added to the Main Zone resource as part of the ongoing definitive feasibility study. An additional program of prospecting, trenching and channel sampling will begin over the Magnetite and Claw Lake zones in May. Exploration of the Magnetite Zones on the BCF Property is of particular interest as it is on-strike from Marathon's PGM-bearing Magnetite Zones to the south. No resources have been developed on the BCF Property.

      Current Drilling:

Marathon has completed a total of 11 holes comprising 2,600 metres so far in the 2008 drilling season. This program is specifically designed to close drilling gaps and increase measured and indicated resources. Many of these gaps are in fact are more strongly mineralized than interpreted in the last resource estimation to the point of surpassing the modeled expectations. Drilling to date has been very positive, as multiple intersections of the high grade W-horizon have been discovered outside of the current resource pitshell.

      Option Terms:

Under the terms of the OJVA, Marathon has the option to earn a 60% participating interest in the BCF Property by (i) issuing Benton 120,000 common shares on signing of the OJVA, subject to regulatory approval; (ii) completing work expenditures of $1.5 million per year during the first four years of the OJVA and an additional $2 million on or before the fifth anniversary and; (iii) making cash payments of $500,000 per year on or before the anniversary date of the OJVA for the first three years (for a total $1.5 million).

During the earn-in period, all work will be supervised and carried out by Marathon. After Marathon has issued the 120,000 shares, made the $1.5 million cash payments and spent the $8 million, Marathon will have "earned in" to 60% of the JV.

During the earn-in period Marathon may mine up to 200 metres north of its property into the BCF Property. If Marathon mines any part of the BCF Property prior to the JV, Marathon will receive all revenue and (i) pay all costs, (ii) pay all royalties due from the BCF Property, and (iii) pay an additional 2% NSR royalty to Benton.

After the JV is formed, Marathon will be operator and any ore that is discovered on the BCF property will be mined and processed by Marathon at its facilities. Under the JV agreement, Marathon will charge the JV for all direct, indirect and overhead costs including a charge to recover its capital costs as well as a 4% management fee.

Benton Resources Corp. (BTC) Acquires and Joint Ventures new Ni-Cu-Co property

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunder Bay, Ontario: Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company has entered into an option agreement to acquire 70% of the Portage Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt (Ni-Cu-Co) property located in Central Newfoundland. The property consists of seven unpatented mining licenses totaling 593 units. The project is Joint Ventured with Golden Dory Resources (GDR) which has an option to acquire the remaining 30% interest and which will be funding 30% of exploration costs. To earn its 70% interest Benton will make payments totaling $87,000 in cash and issue to the vendors 136,000 shares over 3 years. The property is also subject to a 2% NSR payable to the vendors of which Benton and GDR can buy back 1% for 1 million dollars. The property is host to several newly discovered Cu-Ni-Co showings that lie within a large mafic intrusion which has been recently identified and mapped by the Newfoundland government.

Benton believes the property geology is highly favourable for nickel-copper mineralization and is currently organizing an airborne survey to look for conductive bodies within the large intrusion. The ground work will follow as soon as weather permits to delineate diamond drill targets.

The Company also announces that it has agreed to grant 2,000,000 incentive stock options to directors, employees and consultants of the Company, exercisable at a price of $0.70 per share for a period of five years from the date of grant.

Diamond drill mobilized to Armit Lake Property

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunder Bay, Ontario: Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to report that in addition to ongoing drilling at Bark Lake, a diamond drill rig has now arrived at the 100% owned Armit Lake Property and coring will start immediately. The program at Armit will encompass at least 15 drill holes for a minimum of 2000 metres and is designed to test numerous ground geophysical anomalies, magnetic and MaxMin electromagnetic (EM) conductors. Some of the EM anomalies are associated with sulphide-chert-magnetite iron formation while others are covered by overburden. Individual selected grab samples collected by Company personnel returned assays grading up to 25.4 gram per tonne gold and 1.24% copper associated with the iron formations and up to 4.17% nickel associated with ultramafic bodies in close proximity to the iron formations.

Poor access to the property has hampered historical exploration efforts however new logging roads have greatly improved access. A search of the government assessment files indicate the targets to be tested have seen virtually no historical ground work. The results of the drill program will be released as they are received.

Benton to Acquire Significant Shareholding in Coro Mining Corp.
Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has agreed, subject to certain conditions, to subscribe to a non-brokered private placement in Coro Mining Corp. (“Coro”). The Company will, upon closing, acquire 27,272,727 units of Coro at a price of $0.11 per unit for a total investment of CAD$3,000,000, each unit consisting of one common share and one common share purchase warrant (the “Warrants”) of Coro. Each Warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one common share of Coro for a period of two years at a price of $0.18 for the first year from the date of closing and at a price of $0.20 thereafter until the expiry date. Benton’s investment, which is to be made from cash on hand, is part of a private placement of Coro of up to $4.5 million on the same terms with the remaining $1.5 million to be subscribed for by unrelated parties. Assuming the full $4.5 million private placement is completed Benton will then own approximately 34% of the issued shares of Coro prior to Benton exercising any of the Warrants. The private placement, which is expected to close by January 16, 2009, is subject to certain conditions precedent, including regulatory approval, completion of due diligence by January 5, 2009, the appointment of Benton board members to Coro’s board of directors and amendments to certain option payment terms that apply to an option agreement that Coro is a party to.

Coro is a Latin America focused exploration and development company whose principal asset is the San Jorge copper gold project, located in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina. In April 2008, Coro announced the conclusions of an independent Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”), for a Float Only project at San Jorge which contemplates the production of an average of 39,500 metric tonnes (approximately 90,000,000 lbs) per year of copper and 39,000 oz per year of gold contained in concentrate for a period of 16 years. The Float Only project has NI 43-101 compliant Measured and Indicated Resources of 152 million tonnes at 0.48%CuT and 0.20g/t Au containing approximately 719,000 tonnes (1,584 million lbs) of copper and 984,000 ounces of gold. It also has Inferred Resources of 11 million tonnes at 0.38%CuT and 0.16g/t Au containing approximately 43,000 tonnes (95 million lbs) of copper and 57,000 ounces of gold. At a copper price of US$1.65/lb and a gold price of US$600/oz, the PEA concluded that the project has an after tax NPV 10 of US$82 million with an IRR of 17.7%. At US$2.00/lb copper and US$600/oz gold, the NPV 10 increases to US$220 million with an IRR of 28.6%. Note: for the purposes of the PEA mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.

In October 2008, Coro announced that an Environmental Impact Study ("EIS") for San Jorge had been formally accepted to enter the evaluation process by the Secretary of the Environment of the Government of Mendoza.

The potential to increase resources at San Jorge is considered good. The drilling to date was completed to outline a near surface oxide resource and as such many of the drill holes are terminated in copper sulphide mineralization. A geotechnical drill hole completed near the southwest margin of the proposed pit intersected mineralized rock. Assays have not been received for the core which is currently outside the 2008 pit wall design. Alteration, mineralization, and structural vectors indicate the deposit may be open to the northeast as well. The presences of two other alteration areas of equal size to the San Jorge deposit has been identified but have seen no exploration to date.

Coro also has a portfolio of properties in Chile, including the scoping stage Barreal Seco copper project, the Andrea and Chacay porphyry copper prospects, and an exploration agreement with Freeport-McMoran Exploration Corp. for its Talca Belt reconnaissance stage copper prospects.

Barreal Seco is an IOCG-type deposit with a NI 43-101 compliant resource of approximately 92.2 million tonnes grading 0.53% copper in the measured and indicated categories between the oxide, mixed, and sulphide material. The Andrea property is an early stage exploration play for porphyry-hosted copper-gold mineralization. Highlights of the limited historic shallow diamond drilling produced mineralization grading 1.24g/t gold with 0.81% copper over 49 metres and 1.16g/t gold with 0.92% copper over 31 metres. The potential to define a deposit of economic significance at Andrea is considered good given the extensive alteration in the porphyry body and the mineralized drill intersections to date. Chacay is an early stage exploration project and three previous drill holes completed by First Quantum Minerals in 1995 intersected significant copper mineralization that included 78 metres grading 0.44% copper. The mineralization consists of chalcocite and copper oxides, all amenable to solvent-extraction electro-winning (SE-EW) techniques. Further information can be found on Coro’s website, www.coromining.com.

Benton intends on filing on SEDAR its own NI 43-101 reports for the San Jorge and Barreal Seco properties within the next 45 days.

Coro’s management has significant exploration and mine development experience in Latin America, and is led by President, CEO & Director, Alan Stephens, who prior to co-founding Coro in 2005, was VP Exploration for First Quantum Minerals. Other key members of the Coro management team include Juan Carlos Roman, Senior VP and Chief Operating Officer (ex Antofagasta Minerals), Michael Philpot, Executive VP, Secretary & Director and Damian Towns, CFO, (both ex First Quantum Minerals), Angelo Peri, VP Exploration (ex Vale) and Marcelo Cortes, Environmental and Infrastructure Manager (ex Antofagasta Minerals).

Benton views the investment in Coro as an excellent opportunity to become involved in an exciting portfolio of advanced projects and looks forward to working closely with Coro’s management.

Benton Acquires Significant Shareholding in Coro Mining Corp.

Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed its previously announced non-brokered private placement in Coro Mining Corp. (“Coro”) by acquiring 27,272,727 units of Coro at a price of $0.11 per unit for a total investment of CAD$3,000,000, each unit consisting of one common share and one common share purchase warrant (the “Warrants”) of Coro. Each Warrant entitles Benton to purchase one common share of Coro for a period of two years at a price of $0.18 for the first year from the date of closing and at a price of $0.20 thereafter until the expiry date. The Warrants are subject to a forced exercise provision which provides that Benton will exercise the Warrants if: (i) the trading price of Coro’s shares on the TSX trade at a price equal to or greater than $0.50 for a period of 10 consecutive trading days; (ii) Coro has received approval for its Environmental Impact Study at its San Jorge project; and (iii) at the time of such exercise of Warrants, Coro completes a concurrent equity financing at a price of not less than the gross proceeds of the Warrants being exercised. Any Warrants not exercised pursuant to the forced exercise provision will expire at the end of the 10 days. Benton’s investment, which was made from cash on hand, is part of a private placement of Coro of $4.5 million on the same terms with the remaining $1.5 million subscribed for by unrelated parties and which is to close at a later date. Upon closing of the $4.5 million financing Benton will own approximately 34% of the issued shares of Coro prior to Benton exercising any of the Warrants.
