Wie die Vangardia berichtet, haben sich die beiden
Tabkkonzerne wieder angenähert um über eien Fusion zu sprechen
damit wollen sie erreichen ihre Interessen besser gegenüber der
Risikokapitalgessellschaft KKR zu schützen.
Es wird weiter betont, dass es sich bei der möglichen Fusion um keine irgendwie geartete Wettbewerbsprobleme geht
dafür sind die Unternehmen auch gegographisch getrennt. Nein es geht nur um beiderlei Schutz und Wahrung ihrer Interesensspähre.
Nebenbei würde so der 4.größte Tabakkonzern auf Weltniveau enstehen, nach ALTRIA, BAT und dem neulich entstandenen japanischen GALLAHER

Altadis said in a presentation to analysts in London that it planned to use innovation, product mix and cost-cutting to boost its position in the United States.
The company also wants to improve its international cigar distribution, it said in slides released in Madrid.
In its home markets of Spain and France, the company wants to defend its market position and boost profitibility, it said.
