Leute da muessen noch einige ihre shorts covern...die intelligenten haben dies gestern kurz vor boersen schluss getan....die nicht so schlauen werden heute bestraft....und ich glaube ATH wird heute noch gepackt oder zumindest diese woche mfg und auf gute gewinne CW

Canadian Solar Increases Annual Guidance for 2008, Announces e-Module Sales Contracts and New Expansion Plan

JIANGSU, China, June 17, 2008 /Xinhua-PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ --
Canadian Solar Inc. ("the Company'', ''CSI'' or ''we'') (Nasdaq: CSIQ) today announced that it will increase its 2008 annual revenue and output guidance to reflect the sales of its e-Module products. These sales will be realized in H2 of this year.
The Company announced that it has commenced delivery of e-Modules to Pro Solar Solarstrom GmbH and Iliotec Solar GmbH of Germany. The companies signed annual supply agreements with CSI in early 2008. The total shipments to these two companies are estimated at 24.5 MW before the end of 2008. As of today, CSI's total committed sales of e-Modules in 2008 is 35 MW, with approximately another 20 MW of firm interest from additional customers.
The company is accordingly raising its annual guidance for 2008 from 200 - 220 MW to 230 - 260 MW in output and its estimated annual revenue from $650 - $750 million to $750 - $870 million. The company estimates that it will ship approximately 10 - 12 MW of e-Modules to USA and South Korea in 2008, thus making these two countries significant markets for CSI.
Based on robust market demand for our products, the Company plans to increase its annual ingot and wafer capacity from the previous target of 40 - 60 MW to 150 - 200 MW; to increase our internal cell capacity from the previous target of 250 MW to 400 MW and to increase module capacity to 800 MW. We expect to have the above new capacity fully commissioned at the beginning of 2009.

Ja ich denke eine weitere Überraschung ist (wieder mal) angesagt.
Sie rechnen zwar mit 185-190 Millionen. Aber ich denke 210-220 Mio.
könnten es ohne Übertreibung im Q2 werden...nur meine Meinung.
(im besten Fall denke ich ja eher an 220-240 Mio.)
lt. Canadian Solar. (aus Photon)
- sollen für 2009 100-150 Megawatt aus umg Silizium produziert werden.
- liegen schon ernsthafte Anfragen von 100 Megawatt vor. Zwei aus
Europa mit jeweils 20 Megawatt.
- der Preis liegt ca. 15 % unter den Standard-Modulen von CSI.
Umg könnte die Zukunft sein. Vor allem wenn man sieht wie stark
der deutsche Marktführer Q-Cells darauf setzt.
Lt. einer Reuters-Meldunng vom 22. April erklärt Q-Cells mit dem
Timminco-Silizium einen Wirkungsgrad von deutlich mehr als 15 %
zu erreichen.
Canadian Solar ist hier als Vorreiter mit dabei...das stimmt mich
sehr positiv!
Aus markttechnischer Sicht sehe ich CSI im Vergleich zu den anderen
chinesischen Solars als die momentan Stärkste an. Jeder Rückgang wird sofort
wieder als Kaufmöglichkeit wahrgenommen. Hoher Anteil and Short-Seller
die ihre Shares (teuer/teurer) zurückkaufen müssen, wie auch heute
bei SOLF zu sehen.
Die US-Boys sprechen von einem upgrade in Kürze. Riesiger Kauf heute 126 Mio.
Das GAP wurde leider (noch) nicht geschlossen. Ich bin nun auch
nicht mehr so sicher ob es das auch wird. Jede Regel hat seine
Ausnahme. (Runaway Gap = in einem sehr starken Aufwärtstrend durchaus
möglich)
Ach ja nochwas, wir schließen schön langsam vom Umsatz in die
Regionen von JASO und YGE auf. (Beim Ertrag sind sie CSI noch voraus)
Das könnte aber heißen das CSI im Jahre 2008 unter die Top 10
aufsteigen könnte. Dann werden wir kein "Schattendasein" mehr

Welchen Umsatzbeitrag kann man sich denn aus dem UMG-Modulgeschäft
erhoffen. Was kosten dieses Module per MW???
Kann dieses Geschäft zu einer Umsatzüberraschung führen, denn bisher
wurden für 2008 ja 200-220 MW ohne das UMG-Geschäft als Ziel herausgegeben.
Welchen Umsatzbeitrag kann man sich denn aus dem UMG-Modulgeschäft
erhoffen. Was kosten dieses Module per MW???
