Demnach soll die Quartalsdividende um 12 Prozent auf 38 Cents je Aktie erhöht werden. Zuletzt waren 34 Cents je Aktie ausgeschüttet worden. Die Auszahlung ist für den 1. April 2008 mit Ex-Tag 15. März 2008 vorgesehen.

Analysts are looking for Coca-Cola to post a Q4 EPS of 55c on revenue of $7.01B. The consensus range for EPS is 50c to 57c and the revenue range is $6.58B to $7.37B, according to First Call. Since reporting Q3 results, Coca-Cola's stock is down almost 3%, despite reporting in-line EPS results and better-than-expected revenue.
Note that Coca-Cola bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), whose stock has historically mirrored the Coca-Cola Company, reported Tuesday morning. Coca-Cola Enterprises outperformed expectations and forecasted single digit EPS and revenue growth in 2008, although it added that it expected 2008 raw material costs to increase about 5%. Its stock, which Coca-Cola Company owns approximately a 35% stake in, rose about 3.5% in trading Tuesday.
Coca-Cola Company has been busy recently, buying a 40% stake in Honest Tea earlier in February, beginning to market in the Middle East, which has been dominated by rival Pepsi (PEP), and renewing beverage agreements with Church's Chicken and CKE Restaurants (CKE) in January.
Investors will be listening to the conference call for details on Coca-Cola's M&A strategy and the company's plans to further globalize its brand, as well as for comments on the overall effect of the economy and the increase in raw material costs on the manufacturer.
Analyst Views
On February 8, Bear Stearns upgraded Coca-Cola to Outperform from Peer Perform, saying it expected solid earnings short-term with potential upside, and saw the upgraded business model helping long-term. Bear Stearns has a $65 price target on Coca-Cola.
