wäre doch empfehlenswert sich mit Elkedra Diamonds WPK 765474 zu beschäftigen. Der Kurs dieser Aktie müsste doch nun klar steigen und zwar noch über die Kurse von Heute!
Dies ist meine Meinung- keine Kaufempfehlung.

vaaldiam wird momentan praktisch nur in canada gehandelt.

seit 09.11.2007 wurde der handel in deutschland auf stuttgart und münchen erweitert. eine reaktion auf die übernahme von elkedra durch vaaldiam, die dafür gestrichen wurde.

ab ende des monats sollte das ganze in deutschland transparenter werden. die alten elkedra-aktionäre (so wie ich ) erhalten ihre vaaldiam-anteile. dann sollte auch die ein oder andere empfehlung folgen.

flatex hat es am 15.11 erledigt

aufgrund der Umstellung der Börsennotiz haben wir einen Umtausch mit dem
Verhältnis 0,52 zu 1 für den oben genannten Bestand vorgenommen.
Durch den Umtausch haben wir mit Valuta 15.11.2007 in ihr Depot eingebucht............

Tja wird verkauft wie blöde.
Scheint mir doch eher so das da einige ihre getauschten Aktien doch schon auf den Markt schmeißen.
Das muß man wohl über sich ergehen lassen, es sei denn man ist im Plus und kann verkaufen.
Trifft bei mir nicht zu also wird es liegen gelassen.

BTW wie schaut das eigentlich mit der Speku aus, die läuft ja nun neu aber zu welchem "Kaufkurs" denn?

Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. (TSX: VAA) reports that its 100%-owned Duas Barras Mine produced a total of 22,169 diamonds with a total weight of 5,766.39 carats from 25,835.70 bank cubic metres of gravel during the month of November, the third month of commercial production at the mine. The average recovered diamond grade during November was 0.22 carats per bank cubic metre, which is 39% higher than the projected resource grade of 0.16 carats per bank cubic metre. Approximately 3.55 kilograms (114.2 troy ounces) of by-product gold was also produced during the month from 19,936 bank cubic metres of gravel resulting in a recovered gold grade of 0.18 grams per bank cubic metre.

The Company has now received its first Kimberley Certificate which permits the export and sale of the Company's first production parcel containing 6,421.26 carats. Two additional diamond parcels containing 13,604.11 carats from the Duas Barras Mine are ready for export and sale and are in the process of receiving Kimberley Certification.

Total production since May 2007, when commissioning of the processing plant started, amounts to 76,350 diamonds totaling 20,056.67 carats and 19.63 kilograms (631.1 troy ounces) of gold from 93,704.41 bank cubic metres of gravel. Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. (TSX: VAA) reports that the latest diamond sales from its 100% owned Chapada Diamond Mine, in the State of Mato Gross, Brazil has achieved a record price of US$463.64 per carat. A total of 3,959 diamonds weighing 2,074.56 carats were sold for gross proceeds of US$961,842. The sale parcel included 3 special stones weighing 22.92 carats, 13.22 carats and 11.36 carats which returned individual values of US$3,500, US$2,500 and US$2,800 per carat, respectively. The average size of the diamonds in the parcel was 0.52 carats per stone.

Ken Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vaaldiam commented that "we are extremely pleased with the high sales values recently received for the diamond production from our Chapada Mine. The sales value for this parcel is 15% higher than the average sales value received over the last 12 months and reflects the high quality and large average stone size characteristic of the Chapada deposit."

Over the past 12 months of operation the Chapada Mine has produced a total of 21,851 carats of diamonds which have been sold for total gross proceeds of US$8,810,008 or an average value of US$403 per carat.

In addition to production from Chapada Mine, Vaaldiam holds a 100% interest in the Duas Barras Mine in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Schaut euch mal ab Seite 10 Punkt 7. Tausch von Wertpapieren & 8.1 Verschmelzung von Körperschaften an.
Denke mal das trifft auf uns zu.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe werden also die Anschaffungskosten der Elkedra Aktien als Anschaffungskosten der Vaaldiams übernommen.

Dann hat sich also nix geändert bis auf den Namen der Aktie und das wir nun wieder in einer Spekufrist drin sind.



Frage bleibt dann noch ab wann die Spekufrist läuft.

This first production parcel contained 24,730 diamonds with a total weight of 6,421.77 carats, and represented production generated during the commissioning of the production plant at Duas Barras during the period from late May to August, and the first ten days of commercial production which commenced on September 1, 2007. An additional 17,538.39 carats of diamonds are currently in the process of being granted a Kimberley Certificate to allow the remaining 2007 production to be exported from Brazil to Antwerp, Belgium for sale.

(i) Production for May, June & July reflects production using a bottom screen of 1.4 mm square mesh, which was changed to a 2.0 mm square mesh bottom screen in late July resulting in a decrease in recovered grade and a corresponding increase production and in the average stone size of the diamonds during the subsequent months. Commercial production commenced on September 1, 2007.

Ken Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vaaldiam commented that "the first sale of diamonds produced at the Duas Barras mine is another significant milestone for the Company. The results achieved since startup of operations are excellent, with diamond and gold recoveries being well above the parameters used in our feasibility study. The first sale of diamonds achieved an estimated operating margin of US$111 per carat, which reinforces the Duas Barras mine as a highly profitable operation."

In addition to production from its new Duas Barras Mine, Vaaldiam holds 100% interest in the Chapada Diamond Mine in Mato Grosso State, Brazil. The Chapada Mine has produced over 28,000 carats of high quality diamonds, at an average sales value of US$400 per carat. Vaaldiam intends on utilizing cash flow from its alluvial operations to fund the Company's kimberlite exploration projects in Brazil. Vaaldiam is currently developing its 100% owned Brauna kimberlite project which is advancing towards a feasiblility study later this year, and its 100% owned Pimenta Bueno project where the Company is currently mini-bulk sampling two of the 38 kimberlite pipes that have been discovered on the property.

kaum zu glauben
meine Elkedras wurden am 15.11.2007 in Vaaldiam WKN 768898 ,im bekannten verhältnis ,getauscht.
dann wurden diese shares in Elkedra mit der WKN A0MZ1A zurück getauscht.habe meinen broker gefragt und nach 3 wochen die antwort bekommen , dass der tausch zu Vaaldiam auf einen irrtum beruhte.
Elkedra wird aber nirgendwo mehr gehandelt .
habe heute nochmals nachgefragt.
mal sehen was wird .
das haut alles nicht hin

habe ich gerade bekommen

folgende Informationen haben wir von Clearstream zu diesem Fall eingeholt:

In Australien ist bereits ein Zertifikat mit der CA-ISIN aufgelegt worden.
Dies muss aber noch zum kanadischen Zentralverwahrer übertragen werden und
danach zu clearstream-international.
Die eingebuchte ISIN ist nur eine Zwischenlösung bis es die CA-ISIN gibt.
Dies kann aber noch einige Wochen in Anspruch nehmen.
Da wir uns an die Daten von clearstream halten müssen, ist dies für uns aussagekräftig.

Bitte haben Sie hier noch etwas Geduld.

fundamental gesehen denke ich, dass der zusammenschluss der produzenten durchaus sinnvoll war. aber was bringt das uns, wenn nur die manager davon profitieren....

Was mich ärgert ist, dass in anderen Weltregionen fröhlich gehandelt werden konnte, während in D viele Anleger nur Däumchen drehen konnten, weil ihre shares nicht eingebucht wurden. Irgendwie sieht das nach Managementfehler zu Lasten hiesiger Aktionäre aus. Was meint ihr, ob man den Versuch starten sollte, Schadenseratz zu bekommen?????

Vaaldiam Reports First Quarter Results

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 16, 2008) - Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. (TSX:VAA) has announced its financial and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008.

2008 First Quarter Highlights

- 20,728 carats sold for gross proceeds of US$3,892,194 or US$188 per carat;

- Cash used in operating activities was $2,950,455;

- Acquired 100% of Great Western Diamonds Corp.;

- Completed integration of Elkedra Diamonds NL and Great Western Diamonds into Vaaldiam's operations; and

- Advanced Brauna kimberlite project towards feasibility study.

During the first quarter diamond production at the Duas Barras mine was reduced, as expected, due to the advanced stripping of a new mining block which resulted in the processing of the lower grade upper gravel sequence overlying the higher grade basal gravel in the new mining block. Despite this the Duas Barras mine recorded operating income of $183,451 which was after deducting non-cash amortization of $510,784. On a non-GAAP basis, after adding back the non-cash amortization expense, the adjusted cash based mine operating income for the quarter was $694,235. No gold was sold during the first quarter, however, gold sales will commence in the second quarter.

At the Chapada mine, Vaaldiam implemented a number of initiatives to lower operating costs, improve recoveries and expand resources and production. To allow for the implementation of these changes, the mine operated at 50% of capacity resulting in lower production rates during the quarter. By the end of the quarter production had increased to 75% of capacity, and full production is expected to be achieved during the second quarter of 2008. The full impact of these initiatives is expected to be realized in the third quarter of 2008. As a result of the lower production, an operating loss of $919,929 was recorded at the Chapada mine for the first quarter which was after deducting $177,274 of non-cash amortization costs. On a non-GAAP basis, after adding back the non-cash amortization expense, the adjusted cash based mine operating loss was $742,655. Since acquiring the mine in late November 2007, Vaaldiam has repaid $7.2 million of high cost debt associated with the Chapada mine as a result of which Vaaldiam is debt free.

Ken Johnson, President and C.E.O, of Vaaldiam commented that "our operating results for the two mines during the first quarter were in line with our expectations. The lower production for the quarter was reflective of operations during the rainy season in Brazil, and the scheduled reduction in plant throughput to allow for the implementation of operational improvements. We expect that these improvements will result in better long term performance at these mines."

At the Brauna kimberlite project extraction of a 5,000 tonne bulk sample is underway as well as construction of a 10 tonne per hour dense media plant to process the bulk sample. The results of processing this bulk sample, coupled with recently completed delineation drilling, will form the basis for a feasibility study to be completed by the end of 2008.

Over the remainder of the year a significant improvement in operating earnings and cash flow is expected for both the Duas Barras and Chapada mines in addition to which the Company looks forward to a positive result from the Brauna kimberlite feasibility study. Over the balance of the year Vaaldiam will also pursue strategic and restructuring initiatives on an opportunistic basis.

Tja 1. Quartal sieht eher bescheiden aus ist aber auch verständlich, Duas Barras haut lower grades durch um an das high garde darunter zu kommen, Chapada ist auf 50% runter wegen den Verbesserungen und Gold hat man auch nicht verkauft.

Würde mal gerne wissen was der 30,95er wohl bringt, der müste ja alleine schon ordentlich was bringen, dann noch Goldverkauf im 2. Quartal.

Wollen mal hoffen das es dann besser ausschaut, spätestens mit der FS für Brauna müste sich hier was tun.

Das Angebot würde immer knapper. Durch die geringen Produktionsmengen kann man für die nächsten Jahren von steigenden Preisen ausgehen, so Jean-Marc Lieberherr, Direktor von Rio Tintos Diamantsparte.

Auch wenn sich neue Projekte als vielversprechend und erfolgreich herausstellen, kann die Lücke zwischen Angebot und Nachfrage nicht verringert werden.

Rio Tinto wendet 28% seines Explorationsbudgets für die Suche nach neuen Projekten auf. Das Unternehmen ist für 16% des weltweiten Diamantangebots verantwortlich. Diamantproduzenten, darunter auch der größte Produzent De Beers, versuchen angesichts der zurückgehenden Ausbeuten aus alten Minen, das Angebot zu erhöhen. Experten rechnen damit, dass sich das Angebot über die nächsten Jahre um 3 bis 5% p.a. erweitert.

Die per Ende 2007 vorhandenen weltweiten Reserve reichen nur für 14 Jahre.

BHP Billiton Ltd. bietet derzeit 173 Mrd. US $ für die Übernahme von Rio Tinto. Aufgrund von Regen und geringeren Gehalten verbuchten beide Unternehmen im ersten Quartal eine geringere Diamantproduktion.

da das unternehmen meiner meinung nach immer noch gut aufgestellt ist und der wert im moment ein wirkliches schnäppchen darstellt, habe ich heute mal eine kleine posi in frankfurt gekauft.
vor 2 jahren wär es noch eine mächtige position gewesen.

sehe grad es war das bisherige allzeittief von vaa.

würd mich freuen wenn es wirklich die gelegenheit ist im minensektor zu investieren.
grundsätzlich bin ich aber der meinung das die maßnahmen der usa (rettungspaket) zur inflation führen dürften und eine flucht in edelmetalle (aber auch diamanten) stattfinden wird.

Hallo Wink,
ich sitze noch auf einem Bestand aus Elk-Zeiten, habe aber am 31.03.09 mal wieder zu 0,025 Cad nachgelegt, bekomme sie aber für 0,03 nur scheibchenweise los.
Damit ich keine weiteren "Blindflüge" mache, hätte ich folgende Fragen an Dich:
Ist Vaaldiam noch irgendwo aktiv?
Ist Die Produktion in Brasilien wieder aufgenommen?
Ist noch Geld in der Kasse?
Sind die Schürfgelände noch im Besitz von Vaaldiam?
Gibt es Gründe, warum die Aktie so "tot ist, bzw. noch nicht vom Kurszettel verschwunden ist?

Hallo wink,
ich weiß nicht ob ich lachen oder heulen soll. Ich habe meinen Verkauf wegen der hohen Teilverkaufsgebühren gelöscht, weil von meinen 100k einmal 7k und einmal 5k ausgeführt worden sind. Gebühren zusammen 120 CAD. Den Rest habe ich noch und warte erstmal, denn da scheint was abzugehen.

es gibt noch Schutzengel in Form von hohen Gebühren, die den Verkauf meiner Anteile verhindert haben,
Aber es ist schon erstaunlich, was da heute abgeht. Wo kommt plötzlich der Umsatz her? Insider?-- oder liegt es am Jahresbericht? Der ist sicher in Englisch, was ich nicht beherrsche.
Vieleicht kannst du mir die Quintessenz verklickern; damit ich weiß, woher der Wind weht.

Aus dem Jahresbericht ging hervor, dass die Produktion in Chapada und den anderen Gebieten immer noch stillsteht. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass der Kursanstieg mit der Produktionsaufnahme zu tun hat.

Doubt there is a rollback coming after Friday's action.

VAA has been laying low since the economy tanked at end of 2008, but remember it still has a diamond mine that also produces some gold, ready to start up again once they give the go ahead. This mine produced last year and VAA only ceased production because diamond prices were down. Once diamond prices pick up they will open the mine and get the cash rolling in again IMO.

The rise on Friday could be because:

1) the diamond/gold mine will be re-opened.

2) they have good results from a sample of kimberlite in Brazil they had planned to test

3) selling some assets to get cash, or buyout coming?

4) overall market is pulling up again, and traders see value in VAA (market cap was only around 8 million when it traded at 3 cents, crazy for a company with an actual diamond mine).

5) daytraders just playing around with a penny stock.

Whatever the reason, Monday should be interesting. Hoping for some positive news to explain the action.

Vaaldiam Resources Ltd.: 80% Interest in Brauna Project Sold for $5 Million


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire

- May 26, 2009) - Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. (TSX:VAA - News) announces the sale of an 80% equity interest in the Brauna diamond project to a private group for total consideration of $5 million.

Under the terms of agreement, Vaaldiam will receive a cash payment of $3.7 million and will be carried through the next phase of development on the Brauna property, of which Vaaldiam's share payable by the purchasers is $0.4 million for a bulk sampling program with an estimated cost of $2 million. The purchaser will also assume $0.9 million of Vaaldiam's current liabilities associated with capital equipment purchases that are also included in the bulk sampling program budget for the Brauna project. Vaaldiam will remain operator of the joint venture.

The cash component of the transaction is payable in tranches as follows:

i) $741,000 (US$660,000) upon execution of the Letter of Intent;

ii) $1,111,000 (US$990,000) payable upon the execution of the formal agreements relating to the transaction, which is expected to be completed within 30 days; and

iii) $1,852,000 (US$1,650,000) 30 days following the execution of the formal agreements.

Vaaldiam can increase its interest in the project to 49% following the completion of the next phase of development by reimbursing the private group 100% of their costs incurred to that date.

Vaaldiam will retain the rights relating to the gold potential of the Brauna project area, however the purchasers will have ownership of any by-product gold recovered as a consequence of diamond mining activities. In addition to having the potential of becoming South America's first kimberlite diamond mine, prospecting, trench sampling and reviews of geological data have revealed significant gold potential. Vaaldiam's Brauna claims are located within an important gold-producing Rio Itapicuru Greenstone Belt, which hosts Yamana Gold's Fazenda Brasiliero Mine and several advanced exploration projects where both open pit and underground gold reserves and resources have been delineated. Vaaldiam will provide investors with an overview of the gold potential of the Brauna project area in a subsequent news release.

Brauna Diamond Project:

During July, Vaaldiam restarted exploration and development activities on the Brauna diamond project where preparations are underway in advance of a 5,000 tonne bulk sampling program focused on the Brauna 3 kimberlite pipe and associated dike systems. The primary purpose of this program is to produce a parcel of commercial sized diamonds for valuation purposes. The current bulk sampling program follows detailed exploration work completed by Vaaldiam that consisted of mini-bulk sampling and delineation drilling, which produced very encouraging results including:

- 259 tonnes of kimberlite collected and processed from five kimberlite occurrences returning diamond grades ranging from 42.4 cpht to 4.5 cpht A summary of the results is presented in the following table:

- 4.6 million tonnes to 5.7 million tonnes of kimberlite estimated to a depth of 200 metres for the Brauna 3 pipe by Wardrop Engineering Inc. based on 63 drill holes completed at 25 metre drill spacings. This tonnage estimate does not yet constitute a mineral resource as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and is simply an order-of-magnitude estimate of the potential tonnage for this kimberlite body;

- Diamonds recovered include a 7.97 carat white octahedron diamond (Brauna 8). The average size of the diamonds recovered during the mini-bulk sample program is 0.12 carats per stone, and;

- A 0.92 carat pink diamond has also been recovered from the Brauna 8 dike.

A new 10 tonne per hour capacity diamond recovery plant that was shipped from South Africa is scheduled to arrive in Brazil by the end of August, and will be transported to the project site for installation and commissioning. The bulk sample program will focus on the extraction of approximately 4,000 tonnes of kimberlite from the 1.85 hectare Brauna 3 pipe, one of 22 kimberlite occurrences that have been discovered to date. It is expected that an additional 1,000 tonnes of kimberlite will be extracted from the kimberlite dikes that are associated with the Brauna 3 pipe.

Vaaldiam currently holds a 20% interest in the Brauna diamond project Joint Venture, following the recent sale of an 80% equity interest in the project to a private group for total consideration of $5 million (previously announced on May 26, 2009).

Vaaldiam retains the ability to increase its interest to 49% following the completion of the bulk sampling program by reimbursing the private group 100% of their costs incurred to that date. Under the terms of sales agreement, Vaaldiam received a cash payment of $3.7 million and is carried through the current bulk sampling program, of which Vaaldiam's share payable by the purchasers is $0.4 million of the total estimated program cost of $2 million. The purchaser also assumed $0.9 million of Vaaldiam's current liabilities that were associated with capital equipment purchases that were part of the bulk sampling program budget for the Brauna project. Vaaldiam is the operator of the joint venture during the current program.

Brauna Gold Project:

Vaaldiam has recently started an exploration program designed to test the potential of the gold occurrence situated on the Brauna property. Geological mapping of the area encompassing the gold occurrence has traced a quartz vein system over a strike length of 800 metres. The quartz vein system exhibits widths ranging from 0.5 to 3.0 metres. The Company also collected a total of 66 soil samples on a grid pattern (100 metre by 25 metre spacing) covering the strike extension of the vein system. In addition to the soil sampling survey, geologists also collected rock samples across the width of the vein system at regular intervals along the strike length of the vein system. The rock and soil samples have been submitted to SGS Laboratories in Belo Horizonte, Brazil for analysis.

Under the terms of the agreement signed with its Brauna joint venture partners, Vaaldiam holds a 100% interest in the gold rights associated with the Brauna property. Gold was first discovered on the Brauna property in the mid-1930s by garimpeiro miners who had been recovering alluvial gold from gravel deposits found in the Itapicuru River. Around the mid-1990s, mining of the alluvial deposits in the river eventually led the miners to a northeast trending quartz-vein system that lies adjacent to the river. Miners have manually excavated a series of open trenches and shafts along the strike length of the vein system, which has been traced on surface over a distance of approximately 800 metres. Surface and shallow underground exposures excavated by the garimpeiro miners along a strike length of approximately 350 metres, suggests the vein system ranges from 0.50 metres to 2 metres in width. Two vertical shafts, located 125 metres apart along strike and excavated to a depth of up to 30 metres were previously sampled by Vaaldiam (as reported on June 12, 2009), returning gold assays of 21.28 grams per tonne (0.68 ounces per tonne) and 5.98 grams per tonne (0.19 ounces per tonne) respectively.

Vaaldiam's Brauna property is located within the Paleoproterozoic-aged Rio Itapicuru Greenstone Belt (RIGB), which is surrounded by Archean basement rocks. The RIGB hosts Yamana Gold's Fazenda Brasileiro Mine and several advanced exploration projects where both open pit and underground gold reserves and resources have been delineated. Gold occurrences within the RIGB are associated with hydrothermally altered shear zones that occur within supracrustal rocks at the margins of granitic intrusions.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 3, 2010) - Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. ("Vaaldim") (TSX:VAA) has issued this release in order to provide an update with respect to the proposed hostile take-over bid that was announced on February 1, 2010 by Michael Bailey and entities controlled by him.

As referenced in Vaaldiam's press release of February 1, 2010, Vaaldiam had no prior knowledge of the proposed unsolicited take-over bid. Despite having had one conversation with Mr. Bailey on February 2, 2010, Vaaldiam still does not have any further information regarding the timing of the proposed bid, the conditions associated with such bid or whether the bidding group has the financing in place necessary to complete the bid.

Furthermore, Vaaldiam notes that the proposed bid as set forth in Mr. Bailey's press release of February 1, 2010 does not comply with Canadian securities laws, as such release indicates that his offer will expire on March 1, 2010 which would mean that the proposed bid would not remain open for the required minimum 35 days.

Although we may receive further information in the coming days, at this time we would caution investors not to place undue reliance on the proposed unsolicited take-over bid when considering an investment in Vaaldiam shares.

Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. is a Canadian-based diamond mining and exploration company with two mines in Brazil and advanced-staged diamond exploration projects in Brazil and Canada.

Ich weiß nicht so recht, wie die Situation gehändelt werden kann.
Der Bailey will wie auch immer, seinen Schnitt machen und das Zusammengehen mit Tiomin kommt mir so vor, als ob zwei Lahme sich
gegenseitig stützen.
Der Kurs von Tiomin bewegt sich im niederen Cent-Bereich. Wenn wir jetzt mit 80% von ca 3 Cents ausbezahlt würden, ist das ein Almosen aber besser als nichts.
Zur Zeit sind sogar 4,5 Cents drin. Sollte aufgrund der aufkommenden Hoffnung auf bessere Zeiten 8 Cents möglich sein, bin ich raus.

On February 12, 2010 Vaaldiam received a non‐binding term sheet for an "equity line" investment and
interim financing from 4543262 Canada Inc. ("Numberco"), a company of which Mr. Michael Bailey is
President. The term sheet provides, among other things, that Numberco would commit to subscribe for
and purchase from treasury up to Cdn$10 million of Vaaldiam common shares on an as‐needed by the
Company basis over a 24 month period at a price equal to a 5% discount to the market price of Vaaldiam's
common shares at the time of a proposed draw down. However, a number of conditions would be required
to be met in order for Numberco to advance the funds, including a requirement for ten arm's length and
non‐arm's length shareholders of Vaaldiam to first agree to sell an aggregate of approximately 100 million
freely tradeable common shares of Vaaldiam to Numberco at 94% of market value and thereafter agree to
loan the funds from such sales to Vaaldiam.

On or before February 22, 2010, Vaaldiam will be mailing its meeting materials in respect of the shareholder
meeting to be held on March 15, 2010 to consider the Transaction.

(VAA) ("Vaaldiam") reports that late last week management of Vaaldiam had a conversation with Mr. Michael Bailey, the individual who on February 1, 2010 announced an unsolicited take-over bid for the common shares of Vaaldiam at a price of US$0.07 per share.


During the conversation, Mr. Bailey indicated that, despite his February 1, 2010 announcement of the unsolicited bid for Vaaldiam, he no longer had an intention of proceeding with a bid for all of the shares of Vaaldiam, but that he would consider proposing some type of investment and/or interim financing of Vaaldiam.
