Company Statement
Gunson Resources Limited was formed in 2000 to explore for and develop mineral deposits in Australia. It is currently searching for mineral sands, copper-gold-uranium and nickel sulphides in Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The Company’s most advanced property is the Coburn zircon project in Western Australia, discovered by Gunson in 2000. Coburn has government permits for mining, a near-complete definitive feasibility study and subject to financing by mid 2007, the Company plans to bring the 20 year Coburn mine into production in mid 2008 to produce 2.5% of the world’s zircon, 3.5% of the world’s chloride ilmenite and 7.5% of the world’s HiTi (85% Ti02).

Coburn mineral sands, Western Australia (D)
This project covers 1200 square km of a fossil coastline which has the potential to host a world class heavy mineral sand field.
In May 2006, the Western Australian Environment Minister granted approval for the proposed mine, subject to EPA approval of 15 environmental management plans. Approval of these plans, now consolidated to 10, is expected in February 2007.
In the meantime, a definitive feasibility study is nearing completion, timed for public release to coincide with the mining approvals in March 2007.

Mount Gunson copper-gold-uranium, South Australia (E)
Strategic location in the best endowed copper belt in Australia, the Olympic Copper-Gold Province.This belt is over 500 km long and contains about 75% of the known copper resources in Australia. Olympic Dam is the fourth largest copper and largest uranium deposit in the world, containing some 38% of global uranium resources. Two recent discoveries at Prominent Hill, approximately 100 kms north west of Olympic Dam and Carrapateena, 20 kms east of Gunson’s Chianti Prospect, have heightened exploration interest in this belt.

In mid 2006, the Company announced an agreement with Noranda Pacific Pty Ltd, giving Noranda the right to earn 75% of the Project by spending $10M in 6 years. A 3,000 metre drilling program funded by Noranda Pacific is scheduled to begin in Janaury 2007.

Tennant Creek copper-gold-uranium, Northern Territory (E)
The Tennant Creek district has yielded some 5 million ounces of gold and 350,000 tonnes of copper since large scale mining began in 1934. Gold-copper ore bodies in the district are typically high grade averaging 9 g/t gold and 2.1% copper, and are associated with distinctive magnetic anomalies, due to the abundance of the magnetic iron oxide, magnetite.

Bill Cunningham is a consultant in mineral commodities marketing, with over 40 years experience in the mining industry, mainly with WMC Resources Limited and CRA Limited. Prior to leaving WMC in 1997, he was manager for that company?s Nickel Division intermediate products marketing. Since 1997, he has managed his own mineral marketing consultancy.


Managing Director, David Harley
David Harley is a geologist with over 35 years experience in the mining industry, mostly in senior exploration management positions with WMC Resources Limited. He is the immediate past President of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies, AMEC, a position he held for 5 years until June 2005 and was Chairman of Gallery Gold Ltd for 5 years until November 2003.

Peter Harley is an experienced manager and director with over 25 years association with a number of public and private companies. Peter is Chairman of iiNet Ltd and a non-executive director of Perilya Ltd.

Weitere Infos kommen noch,
da es hier noch eine Menge zu sagen gäbe,
zu weiteren Plänen, Finanzierungen, den anderen Projekten
+vor allem den ganzen Agreements, Joint Ventures
und dergleichen.

Scheint mir sehr sehr spannend,
vor allem, da der Produktionsstart sehr nahe liegt,
nach dem Minesiteartikel ja wohl sogar schon Mitte08,
wobei ich mir da nicht ganz so sicher wäre.
Habe gerade gesehen, daß der Produktionsstart derzeit
wohl doch erst für erste Hälte 2009 veranschlagt ist.

Fürs nächste Jahr stehen eine Menge Arbeiten an,
vor allem dürfte etwa das ganze Jahr gebraucht werden,
um die Vorbereitungen zum Produktionsstart auf Cowburn
durchzuführen.


Alles in allem scheints mir absolut spannend.

Letztes Research vom 5.12., 1 1/2 Jahre voraussichtlich noch,
dann gehts hier los, Produktion.

Dieses Jahr stehen viele wichtige Sachen an,
ab Mitte 08 für etwa 1 Jahr die kompletten
Vorbereitungen und auf n'er Menge Projekten wird gearbeitet.

Werde mal versuchen die wichtigsten Sachen daraus festzuhalten
+möglichst, wenn ichs hinkriege, mögliche Aussichten
konkreter festzumachen.


==> Das alles gibts für derzeit f.d. etwa 13Mio E!

mein Tip für dies Jahr: unter 50-100% sollte hier nichts gehen.

Aufgrund von Fokussierung &stark geänderter Rahmenbedingungen der Rohstoffmärkte stelle ich die Begleitung zu dem Unternehmen ein. Ich hatte eigentlich beim Mod angefragt, ob Threads auf Bitte des Eröffners auch wieder gelöscht werden können, war aber wohl irgendwie mit der Board-Policy nicht vereinbar.
