Ergebnis der Umrechnung
Hong-Kong Dollar in Euro: 20,80 = 1,82164
also momentaner Kurs nicht gerechtfertig!!!
In Hongkong 2% rauf, hier 3 runter.
Denke morgen werden wir nachziehen.

Bejing 07.01.2008 (www.emfis.com)

Core Pacific-Yamaichi's Roslyn Ji says 40% rise was better than her expected 25% increase. Expects this to boost CSD's 2008 net profit by 13.8% to CNY5.99 billion. HONG KONG, Feb 13 (Reuters) - China Shipping Development Co Ltd (1138.HK: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday it expected income from domestic coastal bulk freight transportation to rise about 40 percent in 2008 from a year earlier.
Income from coastal bulk freight transportation accounted for about 44 percent of its total income from transportation in 2007, the oil and coal carrier said in a statement.
The company (600026.SS: Quote, Profile, Research) said it had completed the signing of all domestic coastal contracts for 2008 with a 6.9 percent rise in volume to 89.4 million tonnes.
Average standard freight rate under the contacts increased by about 40 percent over the same period in 2007, it added.
The expected freight rate rise in 2008 was above the company's December guidance of 25-30 percent rise, analysts said.
(For company statement please read here 0213085.pdf) China Shipping reported last month that its unaudited net profit rose 65.5 percent to 4.65 billion yuan ($646.9 million) in 2007, based on Chinese accounting standard.
Shares of China Shipping fell 6.1 percent to close at HK$21.05 on Wednesday, outperforming a 1.67 percent gain on the index for Chinese companies listed in Hong Kong .
China Shipping's exposure to China's coastal transportation of energy has given its stock good support despite a deep correction on the Baltic Dry Index .BADI, a gauge of raw material shipping prices. The Baltic index has dropped about 40 percent from its peak hit last November. (Reporting by Alison Leung; Editing by Tomasz Janowski)

China Ship Dev (1138), Baosteel to form shipping JV
2008/02/22 10:13
(Infocast News) China Shipping Development (1138) and Baosteel Trading Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baosteel Group Corp., have agreed to form a joint-venture shipping company to operate ocean shipping business of large bulk cargo such as imported iron ores.
The JV company will have a registered capital of US$8 million, of which US$4.08 million, representing 51% shareholding interest, will be contributed by China Shipping Development and US$3.92 million, representing 49% shareholding interest, will be contributed by Baosteel Trading.
China Shipping Development intends to transfer the shipbuilding contracts in respect of two 300,000 tons ore vessels and four 230,000 tons ore vessels to the JV company. Both parties to the joint venture shall agree to make efforts to cause the total transportation capacity of the joint venture company to reach about 3,000,000 DWT by the end of 2015.
After entering into a long-term COA contract for one 230,000 DWT iron ore vessel with Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel Co.) in January 2007, China Shipping Development intends to further enter into long-term COA contracts with Baosteel Co. in respect of two 300,000 tons and two 230,000 tons ore vessels. When opportunity matures, the COA contracts of the five vessels will all be transferred to the JV company. It is intended that the remaining one 230,000 ore vessel will operate according to market practice, and enter into transportation contracts of 3-5 years with other steel plants in the PRC, thereby obtaining satisfactory investment returns, China Shipping Development says.
Moreover, China Shipping Development proposes to sell a bulk cargo vessel named "Changyang" to Jiuzhou Shipping Company Limited, an independent third party, at a price of US$3.38 million.

China Shipping Devt 2007 net profit up 65.85 pct on higher volumes
Tuesday March 25, 2008 19:31:57 EDT
BEIJING, Mar 26, 2008 (XFN-ASIA via COMTEX News Network) --
China Shipping Development Co Ltd (SHA 600026; HK 1138) said 2007 net profit under Chinese accounting standards rose 65.85 pct to 4.6 bln yuan as capacity expanded and shipping volumes rose, offsetting the impact of high fuel prices.
In its annual report filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said all 42 bulk carriers bought from its parent company in 2006 put in a full year of operations in 2007, increasing the company's shipping capacity by 1.4 mln deadweight tons.
China Shipping, the country's largest coal and oil shipping company, said shipping volume was 119.2 bln ton-miles in 2007, up 50.3 pct, generating revenue of 7.639 bln yuan, up 93.8 pct.
Oil shipping volume was 97.2 bln ton-miles, up 6.2 pct, although revenue generated from the segment fell 8 pct to 5 bln yuan. Coal shipping volume turnover was up 66.7 pct at 81.3 bln ton-miles, generating revenue of 5.474 bln yuan, up 89.3 pct.
Operating revenue was 12.69 bln yuan in 2007, up 34.38 pct, while operating costs rose 23.6 pct to 7.99 bln yuan mainly due to higher fuel prices, the company said. The company's fuel costs in 2007 amounted to 2.96 bln yuan, up 19.6 pct.
Earnings per share rose to 1.38 yuan from 0.83 yuan a year earlier.
Under Hong Kong accounting standards, the company's net profit in 2007 was 4.55 bln yuan, against 2.76 bln a year earlier.
In 2007, the company disposed of 22 bulk carriers with a combined capacity of 408,000 dwt. It plans to dispose of another 13 carriers with a combined capacity of 210,000 dwt this year.
A total of 59 carriers with combined capacity of 8.69 mln dwt are under construction and are due to be delivered before 2012, it said.
The company is planning capital expenditure in the next five years of 23.4 bln yuan.
China Shipping Development has signed cooperation agreements with some large domestic oil and steel companies, such as Sinopec, CNOOC, Baosteel and Shougang or their affiliates.
The company said it will strengthen cooperation with these companies and seek to expand market share.
Shipping volume is expected to reach 235.1 bln ton-miles in 2008, up 5.8 pct, generating revenue of 17.9 bln yuan, up 41.1 pct. Operating costs are also expected to rise by 33.5 pct to 9.8 bln yuan in 2008.
However, China Shipping warned that the price of fuel is expected to remain at relatively high levels this year. It will seek to manage fuel purchasing more closely to lower costs.
For 2007, it plans to pay a dividend of 5 yuan cash for every 10 shares held.
In a separate statement, the company said net profit in the first quarter of 2008 is expected to rise by over 50 pct year-on-year due to higher shipping charges.
Domestic coastal bulk shipment contract prices for 2008 have increased by about 40 pct from 2007 levels, and the growth of operating costs for the first quarter is expected to be less than the rate of shipment revenue growth, it said.
The company booked a net profit of 1.05 bln yuan in the first quarter of 2007, and earnings per share of 0.315 yuan.

China Shipping to spend USD 3.3 billion buying vessels
Reuters reported that China Shipping Development plans to spend CNY 23 billion to buy 59 vessels over the next five years, more than doubling its capacity to ride an anticipated up swell in global trade.
Mr Li Shaode chairman of China Shipping Development said the oil and coal carrier, which is building up a fleet of more than 180 ships to meet the heavy resource needs of China's fast growing economy, the world fourth largest, currently maintains a total capacity of 7.82 million dead weight tonnes.
He said the 59 vessels, to be delivered in the years until 2012, come with a collective capacity of 8.69 million DWT and will more than double the firm's shipping capability.
Mr Li told Reuters early this month that his firm which began shipping iron ore for steel making last year intended to spend about USD 2.8 billion over five years to double its capacity.

Chinese coke export in February down by 24% MoM
It is reported that China's coke exports dived in February. Statistics reveal the country exported 729,900 tonnes of coke in February down by 24% MoM and decreasing by 99,000 tonnes or 11% YoY from last year. Short domestic supply is supposed to be the main reason for the declining exports. As domestic price surged on account of scant supply, coke producers mainly served domestic market.
Total export volume in the first two months amounted to 1.6893 million tonnes down by 20.36% YoY as compared with the same period of 2007. Export value added up to USD 553 million up by 70.5% YoY.
