Chengdu POTEVIO Telecommunications Cable Co., Ltd., (formerly Chengdu Telecommunications Cable Co., Ltd.) is a Sino-foreign joint venture listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which was overall reorganized from Chengdu Cable Plant under Posts & Telecommunications Ministry of China, a plant built in 1958, in October 1994. Its head office is located in Chengdu High-Tech Development Zone with an area of 280,000 square meters, 2000 employees among whom over 700 are all kinds of technical people, and total net asset value of RMB 100 million. It is a large enterprise on the top tier and its technology center was recognized by the National Economy & Trade Committee as one of the tentative technology centers of the Top 40 State Enterprises and Groups.

The company after over 40-year struggling now has evolved into a large telecom cable group possessing over 10 associated joint ventures and issuing shares overseas according to the international rules. Since the adoption of reform and open-door policy in China, the company has been developing at a high speed . In 1982, the company, before others, introduced from USA and other countries the latest technology and production lines to manufacture all plastic local telephone cable. This made the company upgrade its products to a new generation. Potevio is seeking for suitable investment projects. Then it will provide training for those projects with its advantages. This VC fund is closely related with the to-be-launched China growth enterprise market (GEM). The fund will invest a host of mature enterprises, and ultimately help them debut on the GEM.

Ob die neue Produktionsstätte durch das Beben Schaden genommen hat,
ist mir noch nicht bekannt.
Ich will mal hoffen das sie heile geblieben ist, wie z.B. das VW-Werk in Chengdu.
