Upon signing of the Agreement, Petrolympic made an initial payment of $500,000 to Squatex in order to cover certain outstanding payments on the permits.

      infos erhielt.......
      :eek::eek:

I called up IR and had a good 15minutes conversation with him.,...

1)basically he said the PP is closed
2)IR has not recieved the NR for seimics yet from PCQ bosses, but it is written up and they are going over it.
      3) drill program for the lowlands of the sqautex lands to come as well.

Of course IR could not tell me when the NR's are coming but when I said in a week or 2 he just said they will come soon.

Also asked him about the lands that PCQ holds south of Montreal. What he said was that Newmount from NY, USA is producing BCF of gas and PCQ believe that this gas runs on their lands.

He also said that the 100% PCQ lands south of MTL is close to forest oil gas and also the squatex land is even closer to the forest oil producing well.

I asked him if squatex has drilled anything and I know that they are a private company and its hard to find this information but he did say that Squatex has done something and that PCQ is looking into that as well. Not to mention all the land squatex has next to TLM.

oh ya the seismic results he said are VERY good better than expected.

I also asked him again that PCQ should be presurred in releasing something to support the share price and I know that PCQ doesn;t control the markets but something that would help, anything.

he response is valid....he said NG is at 13$ and OIL hot 140$ but then again JNX was at 8$ and now at 4$...he also mentioned JNX quite a few times, not speculating and didn't go further with that, but I found it very interesting. JMHO it sounded like he was saying PCQ is positioned and the bosses are positioning the company and feel that they are as strong as JNX..I know JNX has more land,,but PCQ bosses beleive they have the goods and more.

Also I noted to him that its comforting that the insiders bought at 1.30$ or so. taht is a positive sign, and he replied to me that the insiders bought more at .80cents last friday...I will check sedar soon to see if he is on the up and up...I beleive so.

anyways just to say that I was a bit upset because PCQ releases in May telling shareholders that they will release seismics and drill program in June and now we are July...he said he understands but sometimes things change and this time it was for the better and shareholders will be very pleased when NR's start flooding in.

So we have gas in 100% PCQ lands south of MTL, great seismics coming out for GAspe and the squatex deal is even better and closer to teh FST drill producing well.

Plus insiders are buying like crazy.....JMHO they want 10$/share i think they see.

so all these bashers talking about PCQ, take a look at all shale plays they are all down...PCQ in 2 weeks will beback over 2$ for good,,,,I never say for good because we do not control the markets....but the drills will turn soon...

also he said that he doesn;t know which NR is coming firts but expect them soon I would say within 2 weeks.....

oh ya I do think squatex did some drilling probably minor but PCQ buying into them was not only because of teh proximity but because squatex has something big and they will all prosper including the longs..

have faith, the crooked people in the market have come to feast and its doom and gloom for now.

I just have a few things to say here:

I am unable to see the majority of the bashing posts, because I have put most of those users on ignore by now. But, from what I have read before, I would say that the people who have extreme predictions (without any logic or evidence), or who blindly bash the stock (just as often as they pump it) are probably just clueless speculators from the US, who don’t even understand the simple concept of Canada Day = no trading day. Some of these same people have no basic understanding of the shale gas area, and no real understanding of this company. They simply hope to make money through wild speculation; and when the trend changes, they get frustrated and start saying all sorts of wild and crazy things.

I think we will be seeing close to $2 within a business week; however, it might be a little slower since right now there will be a lot of profit takers. The bad news is that many people who bought at last week’s prices of under .80, will sell today and in the coming days. The good news is that there will be many more buyers now who will have regained confidence in PCQ, and who will be in for the medium to long-term. People who bought very cheap will not be able to resist the temptation of selling, but they will be sorry they did in the days, and certainly in the weeks to come. More news will follow from the shale sector (imminent news from JML), and certainly more news from PCQ now that they have an IR company, and now that things are coming together. The ball is definitely rolling for PCQ this summer.

It will be a very exciting month and summer. This stock also has lots of longs from the $1.45+ days. I think some have sold; but the majority probably are still holding.

Ohh yeah, and I hope those pesky shorters got burned!

Gap up on Wednesday’s opening for sure as news is disseminated, and settles in.

Petrolympic Announces Details of its Upcoming Exploration Programs

Thursday July 31, 9:01 am ET

QUEBEC, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 31, 2008) - Petrolympic Ltd. ("Petrolympic" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PCQ - News) is pleased to provide a corporate update and announce its upcoming exploration programs.

Exploration program on the joint venture properties

Following the completion of the acquisition of a 30% legal and beneficial interest in 36 exploration permits (the "JV Properties") totaling 1,661,630 acres (672,438 hectares) in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec through a joint venture arrangement with Ressource & Energie Squatex inc. ("Squatex") (see press release dated June 30, 2008). Petrolympic is pleased to announce that joint-venture operator Squatex has confirmed and awarded a major contract to GPR International Inc. and Kinetex Inc. to complete the field acquisition of 200 kilometers of new Reflection Seismic Profiles this summer as follows:

      - 125 kilometres of lines to detail two "Utica plays" near Chambly and near Ste-Helene on the St. Lawrence Lowlands region properties.

      - 75 kilometres of regional lines to better understand the structural complexity of the Lower Silurian section and see its relation with the Ordovician shale source rocks over the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspe region properties. Further geological and geophysical studies including rocks sampling are also planned to be performed by INRS in early fall over these regions.

Of the 36 permits of the JV Properties, 15 exploration permits totaling 673,021 acres (272,362 hectares) are located in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, giving Petrolympic a major position over the Utica Shale, Lorraine and Trenton-Black River Formations.

"We are pleased that the significant seismic program can be acquired this summer," said Mendel Ekstein, President and CEO of the Company. "The purpose of our acquisition of the 30% interest in Squatex was to expand our land base in the St. Lawrence Lowlands and gain broader exposure to the Utica Shale area following the announcement of Forest Oil. The seismic program, particularly near Chambly, will begin to define targets in the Utica, Lorraine and Trenton-Black-River Formations. We are excited to be moving our exploration program forward with our partner."

Interpretation of Seismic Program on 100% interest Gaspe properties

As previously announced on January 14, 2008, seismic surveys were performed in the field by Petrolympic on its Gaspe properties south of Rimouski in November 2006 (60 kilometres) and in January 2008 (29 kilometres). "The information gathered from these seismic surveys provided us with high quality data that should help us to identify additional attractive structures for the pursuit of an efficient exploration program over the Mitis and Matapedia properties", said Paul Laroche, Senior Geologist and consultant to Petrolympic.

The most recent seismic survey has been sent to Sproule & Associates, a Calgary based engineering firm, for interpretation. The Company expects the interpretation to be completed shortly. The conclusions from this analysis will assist Petrolympic to identify the next phase of drilling targets in its ongoing exploration program.

Petrolympic Drilling Program on 100% interest properties

Petrolympic is pleased to announce that it has mandated Bissett Resource Consultants of Calgary to execute its first drilling project on the Matapedia property in the Gaspe region. Approvals from all authorities are expected soon and the well is expected to spud in early fall 2008. The drilling site has been identified from seismic interpretation over a large structural closure within a highly fractured zone. This site is located at two kilometers to the west of the C-125 Barthec Lac Matapedia No.1 well which obtained light oil in fractures. Hydrothermal dolomitization is known from an outcrop in the area and it could provide good secondary reservoirs. "This drilling location is extremely important as it should provide us with crucial data allowing us to establish structural and geological parameters. These should assist us in targeting the best future drill sites in this unknown region", said Mr. Laroche.

Focus on the Utica and Lorraine

Following the announcement on April 1st of this year by Forest Oil of its natural gas discovery in the St. Lawrence Lowlands and the acquisition of the interest in the JV Properties, Petrolympic is reprioritizing its exploration activities, postponing its drilling program on its properties located near Valleyfield (the "Valleyfield Properties") in the St. Lawrence Lowlands region, to focus on defining targets in the Utica Shale, Lorraine and Trenton-Black River formations on the JV Properties. The Company intends to carry out the planned drilling program on the Valleyfield Properties in the near future intended to study the potential for shallow gas production.

"Having secured an important interest in such a significant holding over the Utica, Lorraine and Trenton-Black River Formations, and given the results reported by Forest Oil, it makes sense for us to focus our exploration where it will create the most value for our shareholders" said Mendel Ekstein, President and CEO of the Company.

      ABOUT PETROLYMPIC LTD.

Petrolympic holds an interest in 1,903,098 acres (786,344 hectares) of oil and gas exploration permits in the Appalachian Basin of Quebec that include holdings in the St. Lawrence Lowlands and Gaspe Peninsula. The Company's holdings in the St. Lawrence Lowlands include a 30% interest in 673,021 acres (272,362 hectares) through a joint venture with Ressource & Energie Squatex inc ("Squatex") giving Petrolympic a major position over the Utica Shale, Lorraine and Trenton-Black River formations as well as a 100% interest in 180,439 acres (73,021 hectares) located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence less than 30 kilometers southwest of Montreal. The Gaspe holdings include a 30% interest in 988,609 acres (400,076 hectares) through a joint venture with Squatex and a 100% interest in a block of exploration permits totaling 101,029 acres (40,885 hectares) located between Rimouski and Matane prospective for hydrothermal dolomite hosted light oil.

      GMR: +1.23% vol: 490,000

      Speaks for itself..

QEC and PCQ appear to be head and shoulders above the rest..

One recent poster seems to think there should be some kind of competition between these companies..
Lets face it they are all going to do well if the horizontal drilling is successful..
It would seem pointless to fall in love with one of them and then try to convince yourself and others that that one is the best..
Time will reveal where the most productive acres are..

For those who have doubts about PCQ here's some info from a couple of old posts that explains why IMO PCQ may well turn out to be the most profitable of them all..

I beleive PCQ is where a lot of the smart money is.. good luck

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PCQ began trading as a company in January of this year.
Prior to this the company was a private company under the name Petrolympia.
Mandel Eksteien owned 25% of it and Borscha Eksteien owned 25% and Andreas Jacob owned 21%.
When Petrolympic was formed the former owners of Petrolympia received 48 million shares of
which 4 million became free to trade immediately while an additional 4 million became free
trading at the close of deal. The remaining 40 million shares are held in escrow with 15%
becoming free trading every 6 months. These shares were all priced at .18.
There was a PP done in January of approx. 15 million shares at .18 with warrants at .25.
In February 4.7 million stock options were granted at .18.
Another PP was recently annouced for 2,500,000 units of the Corporation (the "Units") at a

price of $1.00 per Unit for aggregate gross proceeds of up to $2,500,000...
At Sedi, Mandel Ekstein owns 11.1 million shares, Borscha Ekstein owns 11.1 million shares
and Andreas Jacob owns 9 million.
Insiders own over 30 million shares.
There are 70 million shares outstanding.
      40 million are not tradeable.
There are next to no shares out there.

I have no doubt PCQ was formed because they knew what they had and made a move
      before the area became noticed.
They most certainly were aware of Forest Oil's interest
      in the region.
The company was set up by a very shrewd and business savvy team specifically to take
      advantage of this opportunity.
They knew exactely what they were doing.
      They covered all their bases.
They are executing a brilliantly thought out PLAN and it is unfolding perfectely.

      Ask yourself some simple questions:
Why do they own 70% of the company?
Why did they put away 40 million shares in escrow?
What does it mean that these shares in escrow cannot be traded?
Will these actions that management have executed help the shareholders of the company?
Does it all make sense for Management and shareholders alike?

PCQ also recently announced a dream of a deal with a private company called Squatex to

acquire a 30% interest in all of their properties. Squatex have prime properties in the

quebec lowlands right in the sweet spot and also have holdings in the Gaspe peninsular. This

deal tells us a story about the kind of management we have and is a huge addition to what

was already a very significant 100% owned land package in both the lowlands and the Gaspe...
The main interest in the Gaspe peninsular is OIL which could well turn out to be the focus
of another major discovery in the near future...

For now though it is the shale gas plays in the lowlands that are grabbing all the
      attention..

PCQ is the perfect vehicle to make the most of this rare opportunity
The company was set up precisely to take advantage of this unfolding situation
This has been the PLAN that Management anticipated all along..

      -------------
Because viewed as more speculative than some of the other area plays PCQ has been subjected

to a seemingly endless slide during recent weeks..
I think the bloodbath in commodities will continue for a while and perhaps present a few

oportunities to buy PCQ in the mid or even low 30s.. I could be wrong but it looks pretty

much like a bottom to me.. accumulation is now the name of the game,,
On the plus side the US dollar is without doubt performing a last breath dead cat bounce and

will drop hard quite soon.. then gold and oil should rally and if that coincides with some

drill results from Forest / Talisman / QEC et al we could see the whole lowlands group rise

to a new level.. when this happens I beleive PCQ is the one to be in.. we have seen more

downside than most and I think we will see more upside when things turn around..
Times like these tend to take peoples attention away from the fundamentals.. Why they bought

shares in the first place.. here's a few reminders:
Dont forget PCQ / Squatex land is right in the sweetspot and they have close to a million

      acres
Dont forget PCQ is presently valued at less than $70 per acre
Dont forget Land values in the Barnet shale gas field in the US are presently around $27,000

      per acre
Dont forget The Quebec lowlands are higher quality and shallower than the Barnet so less

      expensive to put into production
Dont forget The quebec lowlands have infastucture already present
Dont forget There is a pipeline running right through PCQ land
Dont forget PCQ ran up to 1.82 because in the first flurry of excitment about the potential

of the Lowlands traders and investors saw the potential of PCQ
Dont forget PCQ was trading 10 - 20 million per trading session in the run up
Dont forget PCQ has plenty of cash and no debt
Dont forget PCQ will be drilling right into the sweet spot in the near future
Done forget PCQ is drilling its 100% owned Gaspe property early fall 2008
Dont forget Insiders own over 30 million shares and they havent sold a single one yet
Dont forget 35 million shares are in escrow.. therefore still not tradable
Dont forget PCQ management are executing a brilliantly thought out PLAN and it is still

      unfolding perfectely
Dont forget Corrections are a natural part of every success story

PCQ is pure speculation yes but if you look at the probability of success and the

extraordinary and highly probable numbers involved and the present stock price what do you

      see..?
I see a once in a blue moon opportunity.. one that hasnt fundamentaly changed since last

April.. one that has just got better and better.. I see an opportunty to buy into a company

that could well be a 10 bagger over the next 6 - 12 months.. I see an opportunity to test my

resolve and sit tight while the markets do their crazy thing..

      -------------------------------

That was then.... look what's happening now !!!

Was hälst Du davon?

RWE: 5% weniger Gaslieferungen aus Russland seit Sonntag:eek::eek:
      05.01.2009 - 10:19

Judging by how easily this stock was moved up on Friday, it wouldn't be out of the question to see a double or a triple.

The long-term hold target for this stock is definitely in the multiple dollar range IMO.

Just need market mood to continue improving as it seemed to be on Friday, and the price of natural gas to move up.

After all the tax loss selling that undoubtedly took place, I'm sure everyone has a lot of cash on hand to put into the 'best of breed' plays - and I consider PCQ to be one of the premier plays in the area, though a bit of a sleeper considering our current price sits compared to QEC.

Great land package right in the thick of the action, and we were sitting at 52 week low levels, what a steal.

Looks to me that the TSX bottomed out, and we're building a base and moving up. Bodes well for anyone who gets in at these low levels.

Petrolympic receives $1.05M initial cash payment

      MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 25, 2008)

      - Petrolympic Ltd. ("Petrolympic" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PCQ) is pleased to announce that it has, together with its joint venture partner Ressources et Energie Squatex Inc. ("Squatex"), entered into a farmout and joint operating agreement (the "Joint Operating Agreement") with Calgary-based Canbriam Energy Inc. ("Canbriam") pursuant to which Canbriam will have the right to earn a 60% interest in up to 32,000 hectares (79,074 acres) of exploration permits in only the Queenston, Lorraine and Utica Formations (down to the top of the Trenton Formation) that form part of the joint venture between Squatex and Petrolympic (the "Existing JV"). As described in the Company's press release of June 30, 2008, Petrolympic has a 30% interest in all of the properties that are held by the Existing JV which are comprised of 36 exploration permits totaling 672,438 hectares (1,661,630 acres) in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Bas St. Laurent and Gaspe Peninsula.

The key terms of the Joint Operating Agreement are as follows:

      - Canbriam made cash payments of $2.45 million to Squatex and $1.05 million to Petrolympic upon the parties entering into the Joint Operating Agreement.

      - Within 3 months from entering into the Joint Operating Agreement, Canbriam will make a determination as to which 2 permits it would like to designate as forming part of the farmout lands (the "Farmout Lands") under the Joint Operating Agreement.

      - Canbriam shall drill 1 vertical well to the base of the Utica Formation and/or 30 metres into the top of the Trenton Formation prior to October 31, 2009 (the "Initial Exploration Program"). Within 90 days of completing the Initial Exploration Program, Canbriam shall select and notify the Existing JV of an 8,000 hectare parcel of contiguous Farmout Lands for which Canbriam shall have earned a 60% interest. The remaining 40% interest shall be held by Squatex and Petrolympic based on the terms of the Existing JV (i.e. Squatex - 28% and Petrolympic - 12%).

      - Canbriam shall have the option to earn a 60% interest on up to an additional 24,000 hectares comprising part of the Farmout Lands by drilling up to 6 vertical/horizontal wells and making cash payments up to $9,450,000 to Squatex and $4.05 million to Petrolympic prior to November 30, 2011. If Canbriam earns the interest on such Farmout Lands, the remaining 40% interest shall be held by Squatex and Petrolympic based on the terms of the Existing JV (i.e. Squatex - 28% and Petrolympic - 12%).

      - Canbriam shall be responsible for all drilling costs, completion costs or abandonment costs incurred with respect to the earning wells described above.

Mendel Ekstein, President and CEO of Petrolympic, and Jean-Claude Caron, President of Squatex, are pleased to welcome Canbriam to the development of this very promising area. "We are excited to have attracted Canbriam's established team of professionals to help Squatex and Petrolympic expedite our progress in the Queenston, Lorraine and Utica Formations. Moin Moin,

Canadian investors advised to look at gas stocks now

Carrie Tait, Financial Post Published: Friday, June 05, 2009
      Related Topics

CALGARY -- The chorus of voices calling for a rebound in the natural gas market got a little louder this week, as another research firm detailed why it thinks gas is on the way up and investors need to make their move.

Calgary's Tristone Capital Inc. published a lengthy report telling investors to pour cash into gas companies, while maintaining its US$6.75/mcf price forecast on the New York Mercantile Exchange, where commodities are traded.

There is an oversupply of natural gas in North America right now, but Tristone notes the rate of production growth is beginning to decline.

"We expect U.S. supply will peak in the next two months and hit an inflection point of sequential monthly declines beginning in the month of August," the report, released Thursday, said. "The drop in supply will begin to accelerate as we enter the heating season, with our expectation that we are down nearly 4 [billion cubic feet per day] year-over-year by the start of winter and the supply shortfall grows to 5.5 bcf/day lower year-over-year by late [in the second quarter of 2010]."

The report echoes analysis the folks at CIBC World Markets published in April.

"We do see the potential for an improvement in natural gas prices by the end of 2009 given drilling activity in Canada and across the U.S. declining sharply since last fall. We expect this reduction in activity to induce a material supply response by the end of [the second half of 2009] (of up to 5 bcf/d), which should support improving prices within the winter of 2009/2010," the April 29th report said.

John Zahary, chief executive of Harvest Energy Trust, agreed that return of healthier gas prices is "inevitable," and will likely occur in 2010.

"The timing is likely going to be related to some sort of weather event," he said, noting about 28% of Harvest's energy production stems from natural gas. "Whether it is just cold temperatures that increase demand or whether it is the hurricane impacts that affect supply, the big run-ups in natural gas are usually weather related."

Lex Kerkovius, a fund manager and senior analyst at McLean & Partners Wealth Management Ltd., said while natural gas stocks have already rallied, there may be more room to climb.

"Investors need to be looking at gas stocks now," he said. "You cannot wait for the commodity [price] to catch up."

      * Exploration expenses of $62,549 for the first-quarter 2009, compared with $333,393 for the corresponding period last year;
      * Cash flows used in operating activities for the first-quarter 2009 of $238,004, compared with $294,352 for the corresponding period last year.:lick:

"Petrolympic's financial structure and cash position is healthy and has allowed it to weather the current economic turmoil, enabling us to take full advantage of opportunities that present themselves," stated Mendel Ekstein, president and chief executive officer of Petrolympic. "The company has taken firm measures in response to the global financial and commodity price crisis. We have reduced expenditure to a minimum through cost reduction initiatives at the corporate level and have temporarily halted development work on our Gaspe properties.

"Going forward, management intends to strictly control all expenses and focus on creating value for shareholders by exploring and developing its most promising oil and gas properties.

"Although the current cash position of the company is sufficient to cover corporate activities and operational activities for at least the next two years, including the maintenance of royalty, option and other property commitments, the company is actively seeking joint-venture and farm-in opportunities, to achieve its goal of bringing its oil and gas exploration properties into commercial production and continue exploration and development activities as required, especially in the Gaspe Peninsula and the St. Lawrence Lowlands.

"We appreciate that we are faced with numerous opportunities and challenges and we also understand the importance of communicating proactively and efficiently with the investment community. New internal procedures, marketing tools and strategies are currently being implemented to insure maximum transparency and garner the respect of all investors and professionals following this sector.

"Finally, I would like to thank our very loyal shareholders for their trust and belief in our company and dedicated people. Although the past few months have been very unusual for everyone involved in the financial and energy sectors, we are very proud of all of the significant progress and achievements we have accomplished. We are now able to focus on our business development knowing that we have gone through the recent turmoil and came out of it with a more efficient administrative structure and quality partners that will help us demonstrate the great potential of our properties. To have successfully concluded our latest joint-venture agreement with such a high-profile strategic partner demonstrates the potential of our properties and our ability to successfully negotiate with majors. We are very excited about the weeks and months ahead. Many exciting projects and opportunities are being evaluated and developed. Furthermore our partner will begin drilling on our properties early this summer and we will provide a complete corporate update in the weeks to come while ensuring we do this on a regular basis in the future."

RE: gaz nat on fire and question ?

      You forgot to mention...

CQM up 20% (up 100% since Jan. 4th)
      GMR up 13%
      JNX up 22%
      PCQ up 18%

All in Quebec. I think it is because since very recently it is known as a "Basin". Australia in big land and now the Russia is interested.

But I like also very much the Panterra area for the next big gas find.

China firms hungry for more resources

China, the world's largest metal consumer, will add to last year's record $32 billion spending on resource acquisitions as demand for iron ore, copper and oil soars with the fastest economic growth since 2007.
