      NYSE Euronext’s Alternext Welcomes CNPV
      Input time:[2008-8-14 ] Read: [110]

Paris, August 14, 2008 – NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the listing of China Photovoltaic Group (CNPV), a China-based solar company, on its Alternext Paris market. CNPV, specialized in the production, installation and integration of PV modules for solar panels, raised €5.12 million through a private placement, allowing it to use the direct admission procedure on Alternext. The market capitalization of the company amounts to €60.1 million and the company will be listed under the ticker symbol “ALCNP”.

“We are very pleased to welcome China Photovoltaic Group onto Alternext” said Jean-François Théodore, Deputy CEO, NYSE Euronext. “After China Corn Oil and Huacheng Real Estate, CNPV is the third Chinese company to be listed on Alternext and the eighth to be listed on NYSE Euronext’s European markets. China represents a major development area for NYSE Euronext and our ambition is to continue with our strategy of attracting international companies from fast-growing countries onto our markets and help them grow further.”

Mr Zhang Shunfu, CEO of CNPV commented: “Our listing on Alternext is an important step in CNPV’s development. It will give us significantly greater visibility in Europe, a key market for our company’s development strategy thanks to its active solar business. We are seeing that European investors are increasingly concerned about the environment and willing to invest in renewable energy. Our aim now is to continue to grow the company and to meet the increasing demand for solar energy.”

“We are delighted that CNPV has successfully listed on Alternext in particularly difficult market conditions. This listing is an excellent opportunity for investors to benefit from the growth in the renewable energy sector, from a strong Chinese economy and from a very professional management team. We are extremely confident in the future of CNPV,” said the management of Invest Securities, Marc-Antoine Guillen & Jean-Emmanuel Vernay, acting as listing sponsor of CNPV.

The world photovoltaic market has seen strong growth since 1994 which, given the soaring costs and scarcity of traditional energy sources, looks set to continue. The Group, created in 2006, has laid a solid foundation across the value chain of the solar photovoltaic industry and is well placed to benefit from this expansion.

The company plans to use the funds raised to position itself across the entire module production chain, from the production of silicon ingots to the assembly of solar panels. This will enable the company to:
o Boost its development in the growing photovoltaic markets (particularly Europe, US and China)
o Benefit from substantial economies of scale
o Capture margins in the different production phases to lift its margin

The company is additionally seeking to diversify into all types of photovoltaic panels and thin modules which are showing strong growth.

CNPV’s capital is now made up of 5 094 028 shares at a value of €11.80 per share.

The company chose Invest Securities as their listing sponsor and Taylor Wessing as their legal advisor. As listing sponsor, a Euronext-recognised and approved intermediary, Invest Securities’s role was to help and advise CNPV to prepare for its Alternext listing. Invest Securites will carry on providing CNPV with its expertise in order to support and guide them throughout their life as a listed company, ensuring that they comply with disclosure requirements.

CNPV had a fruitful business trip to Europe
      Input time:[2008-12-9 ] Read: [109]

From 24th, November to 4th, December, Mr. Zhang Shunfu, CEO of CNPV, went to Italy, Germany, France and Luxembourg to meet important customers, long-term partners and overseas investors. During this trip CNPV not only signed contracts and letter of intent with many European enterprises, but also had a pleasant discussion with several principal European banks, which affirmed the good performance of CNPV after listed on Alternext and intended to fully support CNPV for raising more overseas investments.

      Orders were signed as follows:

      1) On 25th, November, CNPV signed a 5 years contract with P+M to supply 10MW every year from 2009 to 2013.
P + M Consult is an international trade agency in the legal GmbH & Co.KG with a focus on renewable energies. It has built long-term and stable relationships with many PV companies in China and other countries. P+M has a good reputation and capital operation record. They have cooperated with CNPV many times and has become one of our reliable cooperation partners.

      2) On 30, November, CNPV signed a long-term contract with SUNBLU to supply in total 35MW within five years.

SUNBLU used to be the purchasing and logistics center of RALOS company, which is entitled as one of top ten PV system installers by the end of 2008. Till now, their 5 MW rooftop PV system is still the largest project in the rooftop PV module system installation in Europe. Currently, SUNBLU is operating independently to purchase PV panels and distribute them to PV system installers. In a few years, SUNBLU has already expanded to a well-recognized PV company with wide spread sales network all over Europe.

Germany is the biggest photovoltaic market in Europe and even in the world with 1.5 GW market demand in 2009. The Renewable Energy Act (EEG) requests the power companies to purchase renewable energy from the holder of the renewable equipment at a price higher than the standard retail price. And its “Feed-In-Tariff” policy started in 2008 with 35.49-51.75 euro cents per Kwp without change in 20years. So there will be little obstacle to sell power energy to build PV system at the price of EEG. These acts strive many businessmen in Germany to invest on PV products, which contributes to a long-term and sustainable domestic market. CNPV has already many advantages in German market with its TUV certification and well-recognized brand name among customers. The huge demand of German market will certainly drive CNPV to achieve a larger sales volume and a more rapid company growth.

Letters of intent were signed as follows:
      1) On 30th, November, CNPV signed a letter of intent with proSUNeurope to support CNPV establish its own distribution network in Germany and other European and American countries.
ProSUNeurope has a wide spread sales and distribution network covering all the countries in Europe and has particularly deep understanding and rich sales experience in Germany. The staff in ProSUNeurope company are all experts in sales and marketing of PV products in European market..

      2) On 28th , November, CNPV signed a letter of intent with HB-Tech for long-term cooperation. The two companies reached agreement on purchasing 10 MW per year from CNPV in the next five years from 2009.
HB-Tech is engaged in renewable energy and specialized in solar energy and wind energy. The business scope of HB-Tech is distribution, agency and after-sale services. The company has branch offices in North America, Spain, UK, Czech, Italy, Greece, South America. Its global sales network will not only facilitate CNPV’s SPV modules production and sales, but also improve the global CNPV brand recognition.

According to the estimation of European photovoltaic industry association (EPIA), by 2010 there will be 7G watts of photovoltaic energy systems to be newly installed. Even with the impact of global financial crisis, the conservative estimation is still 4.7 G watts. So the global market is quite optimistic, and CNPV has plenty of confidence to become one of the world leading PV enterprises in the future.

Meetings with European banks and overseas investors are as follows:

On 1st, December, Mr Zhang Shunfu had meeting with Invest Securities- CNPV’s listing sponsor and with Taylor Wessing- CNPV’s listing legal advisor in Paris.

From the professional perspective of a financial institution, Invest Securities analyzed that the listing of CNPV on European stock market significantly improved the public recognition of CNPV brand and enterprise, which will provide great support to CNPV business expansion in all European countries. Invest Securities will continue to provide more support to help CNPV raising more overseas investments.

On 2nd, December, Mr Zhang Shunfu went to Luxembourg and had a pleasant discussion with M. VALENNE, the Deputy General Manager of Rothschild Bank in Luxembourg. Mr VALENNE believed that PV industry had a huge potential of future development. He had connections with several investors willing to invest in PV companies, which all had a long-term and good relationship with the Bank of Rothschild.

Mr VALENNE pointed out especially that CNPV had a good performance and maintained a relative stable share price compared to other listed PV companies when facing the financial crisis and successfully reached the financial forecast published during and after listed on Alternext. He gave fully affirmation on CNPV’s good performance and intend to provide fully support to CNPV for raising more overseas investment.

Rothschild Bank Group is one of the most venerable bank groups in the world. It is managed by the most ancient bank family---- Rothschild family, which plays a leading role in global finance field. At the beginning of 20th century, the fortune controlled by Rothschild family reached almost half of the total fortune in the world. At the end of 2007, the total capital managed by Rothschild Bank group was nearly 30 billion Euros.
