Hallo Freunde,
es geht um die französische Infogrames Entertainment
ISIN: FR0010478248
WKN: 005257 (Euronext - Paris)

Lyon, France, July 31, 2008 - Infogrames Entertainment posted a significant increase in first quarter revenues, demonstrating positive momentum in the turnaround initiatives which are being implemented by the Group. David Gardner, Infogrames's Chief Executive Officer said: "I am pleased with our Q1 sales which have been driven by having two hit products, Alone in the Dark and Dragon Ball Z. It sets the pace for the rest of the year and gives us the time to begin our Publishing turnaround as the next key step to revitalizing the brand and company. I'm particularly pleased with the trajectory of our US business. Jim Wilson has put together a great team to help drive up our business results and regain our standing in this key market."
BUSINESS TRENDS DURING Q1 2008/2009 (unaudited data)
Revenue growth was strong across all regions, with strong recovery of the US market in particular. The breakdown by region shows that Infogrames' revenues are diversified and its geographical presence is well balanced.

SUBSEQUENT EVENTS TO THE END OF THE QUARTER
2.1 Infogrames Entertainment and Atari Inc. announced that they have reached a definitive agreement to merge.
Under the terms of the merger agreement, Infogrames acquired the remaining outstanding equity interests of Atari (other than shares of common stock held by Infogrames or its affiliates, which would be cancelled).
Following the merger, Atari has become a wholly- owned subsidiary of Infogrames.
This agreement is a crucial and positive development for Infogrames and its shareholders. It brings Atari fully under the control of Infogrames, delivering a platform for future growth in the US. This step closely follows a series of recent major restructuring actions implemented in an effort to reposition Atari, streamline its corporate structure and reduce its annualized costs, including costs related to being a US public company.
The Board of Infogrames believes that full ownership of a restructured Atari is an important step for the Group, leading to a simplified operating structure that will deliver greater efficiency, provide the Group with greater opportunities to expand its US distribution capabilities and strengthen its platform for its global online initiatives.
