nachdem Verasun Chapter 11 beantragt hat stellt sich mir die Frage:
Wird Obama Verasun wirklich pleite gehen lassen?
Hier wurden in den letzten Jahren riesige Produktionskapazitäten aufgebaut. Was soll mit den Anlagen passieren?
Wäre es möglich, dass PEIX Verasun schluckt?
Wäre es möglich, dass Exon oder Shell sich Verasun schnappen - als kleine grüne Beilage?
Hier könnte sich eventuell ein kleiner Zock renitieren. Was meint ihr?

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 36.050.026 von Zackes1 am 24.11.08 10:23:53Ich meine, dass die verschiedenen Hilfsmassnahmen der Staaten uns nun nicht zur irrtümlichen Annahme verleiten dürfen, der Staat werde nun jede Unternehmung retten, die gerade vor der Pleite steht. Das wäre für den freien Markt fatal. Die Eingriffe sollten wirklich auf volkswirtschaftlich wichtige Firmen oder Systeme beschränkt sein.
Dies trifft meiner Meinung nach bei Vera Sun nicht zu. Ein Zock ist mit sehr hohem Risiko verbunden. Ich würde eher auf steigende Kurse bei einer finanziell gut dastehenden Solarunternehmung spekulieren (oder Wind, siehe z.B. Vestas).

Production Facilities Expected to Continue Operations
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VeraSun Energy Corporation (NYSE: VSE), one of the nation's largest ethanol producers announced today the Company and 24 of its subsidiaries have filed voluntary petitions for relief under chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to enhance liquidity while they reorganize.
The filing was precipitated by a series of events that led to a contraction in VeraSun's liquidity, impairing its ability to operate its business and invest in production facilities. The Company suffered significant losses in the third quarter of 2008 from a dramatic spike in its corn costs, reflecting in part costs attributable to its corn procurement and hedging arrangements, and historically unfavorable margins. Beginning in the third quarter, worsening capital market conditions and a tightening of trade credit resulted in severe constraints on the Company's liquidity position. Faced with these constraints, VeraSun and 24 of its subsidiaries filed their chapter 11 petitions to facilitate access to additional liquidity while they reorganize to take better advantage of VeraSun's position as one of the nation's largest producers of ethanol.
Company Intends To Maintain Operations
During the chapter 11 proceedings, VeraSun plans to resume normal operations. The Company has taken steps to ensure continued supply of product to its customers and to fulfill all customer obligations. In that regard, VeraSun is working closely with its lenders and expects to reach an agreement before the "first day" hearing on Monday for additional committed financing to provide adequate liquidity to fund operations in the normal course.
The Company expects that it will not scale back its purchases of raw materials, and corn and other suppliers will continue to be paid in full for all goods and services furnished after the filing date as required by the Bankruptcy Code. The Company has also sought authority from the bankruptcy court to pay for goods delivered to the Company on or after October 11, 2008.
VeraSun has also requested the bankruptcy court's approval to continue to pay employees in the ordinary course without interruption, and expects the request to be granted as part of the court's "first day" orders.
"Today's filing allows VeraSun to address its short-term liquidity constraints as we navigate historically challenging market conditions while we focus on restructuring to address the company's long-term future," Don Endres CEO said. "We appreciate the loyalty of our employees, customers and suppliers during this challenging time."

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 36.050.891 von Zackes1 am 24.11.08 12:10:33Ja, wenn ich mich nicht täusche, hat sich Obama im Rahmen des Konjunkturprogramms zur Förderung von alternativen Energien positiv geäussert. Das ist für uns Anleger eine wichtige Angabe.
Im Uebrigen musste die Branche in den letzten Wochen stark Federn lassen, so dass es meiner Meinung nach auch bei etablierten Firmen sehr gute Einstiegsgelegenheiten gibt. In Solar bin ich im Moment nicht investiert, behalte aber vorallem im Moment Q-Cells im Auge.
Vera Sun ist dann etwas, wenn Du Casino spielen willst. Ich würde eine etablierte Unternehmung mit Erholungspotential vorziehen.
Im Uebrigen musste die Branche in den letzten Wochen stark Federn lassen, so dass es meiner Meinung nach auch bei etablierten Firmen sehr gute Einstiegsgelegenheiten gibt. In Solar bin ich im Moment nicht investiert, behalte aber vorallem im Moment Q-Cells im Auge.

Das was da noch an der OTC unter dem Namen VeraSun gehandelt wird, hat mit dem Unternehmen VeraSun Energy, das sich im Chapter 11 Verfahren befindet nichts mehr zu tun !!! Die alten Gläubiger und auch die Aktionäre gehen bei C11 leer aus, selbt wenn die Restrukturierung gelingt.

... vergiss nicht das Volumen mit hinzuschreiben, sonst denken hier einige noch, das man mit dem Stock noch viel Geld verdienen kann

Das Volumen liegt im Moment in den USA bei 145.629,- USD bei 218 Kursfeststellungen. Und das bei steigendem Kurs. Aktuell bei 0,081 USD.

Heute geht der Handel in den USA weiter. Bin mal gespannt wie es weiter geht...
