Aug. 20, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China Molybdenum Co<3993>, the nation's biggest molybdenum producer, on Tuesday said that it plans to issue as much as RMB 4 billion in corporate bonds in the domestic inter-bank market, sources reported.
In a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the firm said that the planned bonds will carry a term of between one and five years, and they may be issued in single batch or multiple batches pending on the market conditions.
Proceeds from the bond issues will be used to replenish working capital and pay back bank loans, said the firm, adding the plan is still subject to approval from shareholders.
China Molybdenum also announced that its net profit, computing by International Accounting Standards, surged 112.9% year on year to RMB 419 million in the first half of this year, and that basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.086. No interim dividends will be declared.
China Molybdenum, which was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 26, 2007 and raised HK$8.1 billion, saw its net profit tumble in the past three years. In 2007, net profit was RMB 2.24 billion in 2007, RMB 1.64 billion in 2008 and RMB 503 million in 2009.

Die Stahlhersteller begründeten die neuerliche Preiserhöhung mit der starken Verteuerung der Rohstoffpreise. The group has production facilities located in Luanchuan which have not been damaged by the heavy rainstorm or rain-triggered floods, and are operating normally.
