We will see ist. Gruß B.

Rounding out the winners today is McDonald's (NYSE: MCD ) , up 0.77%. The Golden Arches may as well be investors' smiles this year, as the company has made a habit of its amazing returns. The consistent 2.8% dividend yield -- which was raised from $0.61 a share to $0.70 recently -- certainly has people lovin' the company. Then again, the stock trades near its 52-week high and is leaning toward the expensive side of its valuation at a P/E of 19.72. Keep an eye on this company to see whether its growth story can continue.

      The McDonald's Growth Strategy

By Arthur Pinkasovitch - January 5, 2012 | Tickers: JACK, MCD, SBUX, WEN, THI, YUM | 0 Comments

Arthur is a member of The Motley Fool Blog Network -- entries represent the personal opinions of our bloggers and are not formally edited.

A quick look at the McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) 1-year graph reveals that the fast food giant is significantly outperforming its peers. Over the last 12 months, McDonald's stock has risen by nearly 35% while competitors such as Wendy’s (NASDAQ: WEN) and Jack in the Box (NASDAQ: JACK) remained flat. Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM), the operator of such well known food chains as KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, and Tim Horton’s (NYSE: THI), the Canadian coffee and donut franchise that has hindered Starbucks’ (NASDAQ: SBUX) growth prospects in Canada, have even failed to realize similar gains to McDonald's. The five year performance charts of these companies indicate a similar trend. So what is McDonald's growth strategy that makes them so successful?

      International Opportunities
Despite concerns over political and economic risks, McDonald's has continued to make a strong push into international markets – 40% of sales come from European operations while Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) account for 21% of revenue. Although comparable sales in the U.S grew for the 8th consecutive year, rising by 3.8%, a significant portion of growth was driven by Europe and APMEA as comparable sales surged by 4.4% and 6.0%, respectively, in the last reported fiscal year.

Rather than introducing the same fast food concept in all new markets, McDonald's delivers a culture-relevant restaurant experience while adhering to its corporate goals of consistency. For example, a primary focus on European chains is expanding McCafe locations, while popular value items are heavily marketed in China and Japan.

      Keeping up with Trends
McDonald's aims to integrate itself into all aspects of the food cycle – the McCafe line-up, which initially gained popularity in Melbourne, Australia in 1993, was slowly introduced into North America at the onset of the 21st century. Currently, McDonald's coffee products are a primary driver of North American growth. Interestingly, in 2007, Consumer Reports ranked McDonald's coffee higher than the Starbucks products.

Another important trend on which the company was able to capitalize is the growing demands of the health-conscious consumer. Following the 2003 introduction of the Premium Salad line, McDonald's has voraciously promoted its healthy alternatives.

      Attracting Smaller Children
Although this subject is not frequently discussed in corporate presentations, McDonald's has a strong appeal to younger children who are anticipated to become lifelong cheeseburger lovers. The Happy Meal, McDonald's Play Place and overall tasty food options increase frequent customer visits and long-term retention rates.

In subsequent years, the affordability of the McDonald's menu appeals to teenagers who end up taking their fast food habits into adulthood. Although many journalists, such as Eric Schlosser, author of Fast Food Nation, have criticized McDonald's for implementing marketing tactics similar to those of The Walt Disney Company, from a business perspective, McDonald's is very successful at creating brand loyalty to ensure the ongoing demand for its products.

      2012 Growth Targets
During a recent investors meeting, McDonald's outlined the corporate expectations for the upcoming year within the context of its Plan to Win strategy. Annual sales growth is targeted at approximately 4% and improved margins are expected to boost operating income growth by 6%. In an effort to continue expansion targets, $2.9 billion will be spent on opening over 1,300 locations and renovating nearly 2,400 existing chains. With over 33,000 locations, McDonald's stands in a position whereby it can utilize its strong market presence and economies of scale to continue on its expansionary journey

Ergo: Mc.
Nächste Woche müssten die Dez. Zahlen kommen. Mal sehn wie es aussah. Gruß B.

Many successful traders like to focus on and buy stocks "that work." This means that investors should consider finding patterns and trends of upward moving stocks in companies that are riding a long-term secular trend. In 2011, companies that had products and services that remained strong in spite of economic concerns did well. Stocks that paid solid dividends also outperformed. The low interest rates, economic concerns and debt crisis in Europe were all major factors for investors to consider in 2011. Since these same issues appear likely to remain a factor in 2012, investors will probably do very well by simply continuing to invest in the same stocks that performed well in 2011. Furthermore, stocks that are in an uptrend and making new highs, generally tend to keep trending higher and make new 52-week highs. Below, is a closer look at some dividend stocks that are likely to continue outperforming and probably make new 52-week highs in 2012. I would advise to only consider buying these stocks on pullbacks in order to maximize your gains:

.. aktuell aus yahoo-Finance veröffentlichung. Solider Aufwärtstrend, kaufen unter 100$. Mir scheint das tun einige bereits.

McDonald's Corporation (MCD) is a global fast-food giant with thousands of locations worldwide. McDonald's offers consumers breakfast, lunch and dinner meals with a menu based on value. This strategy has allowed the company to grow all over the world and the next stage of growth will come from emerging markets. As incomes rise in certain countries like China, and Brazil, more consumers may want the convenience and value that McDonald's offers. This stock is in a solid uptrend and just closed at fresh 52-week highs, so wait for pullbacks below $100.

Here are some key points for MCD:

      Current share price: $99.53

      The 52-week range is $72.14 to $101

Earnings estimates for 2011: $5.23 per share

Earnings estimates for 2012: $5.73 per share

Annual dividend: $2.80 per share, which yields 2.8
