When prices are rising with an oversupply eventually something will give without a crisis to make that oversupply vanish. This has happened before with deliberate manipulation involved. It pays to watch which countries' mines are expanding and who is invested in them.

What is not extended in your brief statement is what is now given to shareholders in return for said dilution.
50% of silver production transferred to AUN shareholders from SLW.
3.8-4 million oz of silver per year production from Shafter.
Would any junior create a company with 200 million shares o/s to have 4 million oz pure silver/additional production and a further 600-700,000 oz silver from existing production?
We are talking 4.5 -4.7 million oz per year for said dilution.
That cashflow will be massive -upwards of 100+ million dollars per year as Lenic stated and could be upwards of 200-300 million+ ,depending on the price of silver.
There is a real and potential SP upside outside of the massive production numbers for AUN if a significant resource at Red Hills is discovered and an increase of mineral resource through infill drilling is added at Shafter.
Ore body extension and discovery at Shafter/Presidio and Red Hills is highly probable as demonstrated from extensive,historical drill results.
In the end shareholders have to decide whether they want a 7 million oz producer in a First Majestic investment-$14.
Or do they wish to participate in an Aurcana that will be a 7 million oz producer-.70 ?
The final decision is the process of determining whether silver and gold will continue to represent a state of dollar devaluation/inflation and dare I say hyperinflation heading into 2012.
AUN should be trading in the $3 range now in a mere comparison to peers.
If I ran the company I would roll back the shares 4:1 today and increase the share price by that same ratio.
Then we would have a $2.80 share price with approx. 100 million shares outstanding.
Shareholders lose nothing and the share strengthens and trades at fair value.
I am not Santa so expect something similar to that scenario going forward with a TSX listing as the ex broker stated.

Since you stated on Dec.21 that the transaction was executed the day prior I 'eggnogged' you.
To be fair to you who knows if Canadian Insider dates are correct.I assumed they are and were.
To be fair to me you did not give a transaction date or a share price or a link.
In any event it very well could be that I am full of eggnog,but in reality it is rice and sambal where I sit.

die gestrige News ist zwar positiv, aber keineswegs neu. Aurcana hat bereits bei Bekanntgabe der Kapitalerhöhung abgekündigt, daß man mit einem Teil der Erlöse das SPA zurückkaufen wird. Nun hat man Vollzug gemeldet. Mehr nicht.

The Company is equally pleased that Silver Wheaton has continued to show its support for Aurcana by participating in the recently closed equity financing which was announced in a December 8, 2010 news release.

“Copper has been pushing higher for some time,” said Bruce Zaro, chief technical strategist, at Delta Global Asset Management in Boston.
“There have been a lot of rumors in the past week of a shortage of copper at the London Metals Exchange,” he said, and also helping, demand has been strong from China and other countries.

AUN sold 773,823 pounds of copper in Q3, 2010 at an average price of $3.29
Aurcana has been running La Negra at a record setting 1600tpd but said they are focusing on silver-rich zones in the mine as of late.
So,let's argue that they are mining and producing a similar amount for Q4 that they did in Q3.
However,the price in the last three months of 2010 has risen dramatically-having a low in September of $3.50 and a high of $4.297 yesterday.
The 50 dma is $3.93.
Again,for argument's sake ,let's say AUN sells the same amount of silver but at .64 cents more per pound in Q4.
The higher price of copper in Q4 2010 brings in an additional $495,000 for Q4 over Q3 on copper,alone.

.Let's argue that AUN sells or sold 250,000 oz of silver in Q4(increased production and very likely a low number conscidering AUN states AUN is now targeting silver rich zones).
