ERA Carbon Offsets Ltd. Announces Appointment of Mr. Jeff Calvert, P.Eng., MBA, as Chief Financial Officer

Vancouver, British Columbia: ERA Carbon Offsets Ltd., (TSX-V: ESR), is pleased to announce that Mr. Jeff Calvert, P.Eng., MBA, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the company. Mr. Herrick Lau has resigned as CFO effective July 15, 2010.
Mr. Calvert has been Director of Finance at ERA since February, 2010. He has nearly 20 years experience in progressively senior roles in sales, marketing and business development with international Fortune 500 companies and smaller, technology driven clean tech firms. Mr. Calvert joined ERA from Borealis Carbon Offsets Ltd., where he worked as managing director for two years, leading the growth of another strong Canadian firm in the forest carbon business. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA with specialization in management consulting from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia. Mr. Calvert is a regular expert panelist in the forestry carbon space and a professional engineer licensed in Ontario.

Frage: Warum fällt der Kurs so stark?
Das ist recht einfach. Es ist ein kleines Unternehmen am Beginn des Daseins mit ambitionierten Zielen und derzeit wenig Börsen-Umsätzen und wenig marktschreierischen Infos. Im Zeitalter des Turbokapitalismus werden die Investoren nach 5 Sekunden nervös, wenn sich der Kurs nicht sofort verdoppelt hat. Ein kleines Zucken nach unten löst dann sofort eine Lawine aus. Starke Kusschwankungen sind da völlig normal.
Entweder man ist von der Story überzeugt oder eben nicht. Ich muss zugeben, dass ein Teil des Kurssturzes mir zuzuschreiben ist, da jemand meine 0,215 BID bedient hat. Damit habe ich schön verbilligt.
Für mich steht die Zukunft dieses Titels außer Frage. USA ist Dank BP im Umweltwahn. Die Uno nörgelt an dem Umweltengagement der Unternehmen. Goldstatus der CCBA ist erreicht und kann ein Verkaufsschlager werden, wenn die Umweltsünder auf lieb Kind machen müssen, um im Marketing glänzen zu können.
Ich glaube nicht, dass in diesem Jahr noch ordentlich etwas mit dem Kurs geschehen wird. Dafür schauen die Umweltsünder bisher noch zu sehr auf die Finanzen, aber das Image wird auch wieder gepflegt werden müssen und dann wird ERA etwas davon abbekommen. Ich werde günstige Kurse zum Nachkauf nutzen und hoffentlich hinterher über diejenigen lachen, die ihre Nervosität nicht unter Kontrolle haben.
In diesem Sinne: Gestern wurde in Kanada schon wieder ein großer Anstieg verzeichnet.

Diese Seite gibt die quartalsweisen Cash-Flows des Unternehmens wieder.
Danach verfügte ERA zum Ende des Quartals Q1 (Ende März 2010) über einen Cash-Bestand von 6.16 Mio. Can$ (siehe Bericht). Der selbe Bericht sagt aus, dass im ersten Quartal Q1 1.14 Mio. Can$ vom Unternehmen „verbraucht“ wurden.
Der Bericht bietet weitere Informationen, wie die diversen Jahresbilanzen, Jahres-Cash-Flows, Income-Statements.
Warum der Aktienkurs in den letzten Wochen an Wert verloren hat, entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis.

Community Ecosystem Restoration Program first in Canada to receive Gold Level - Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard’s Validation

Vancouver, British Columbia: ERA Carbon Offsets Ltd. (TSX-V: ESR) through its 100% owned subsidiary ERA Ecosystem Restoration Associates Inc, (ERA) is pleased to announce that their Community Ecosystem Restoration Program (CERP) has received final validation to the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance’s (CCBA) Gold Level Project Design Standard as of June 24th, 2010.
The CCBA Project Design Standards evaluate land-based carbon mitigation projects in the early stages of development. The CCBA Standards were created to foster the integration of best-practice and multiple-benefit approaches into project design and evolution. The Standards identify projects that simultaneously address climate change, support local communities, and conserve biodiversity, while promoting excellence and innovation in project design.
In order to meet CCBA’s “Gold Level Project Standard” a project must meet or surpass the following criteria:
“The Gold Level Climate Change Adaptation Benefits criterion identifies projects that will provide significant support to assist communities in adapting to the impacts of climate change. Communities and biodiversity in some areas of the world will be more vulnerable to the negative impacts of climate change. Land-based carbon projects have the potential to help local communities and biodiversity adapt to climate change by: diversifying revenues and livelihood strategies; maintaining valuable ecosystem services such as hydrological regulation, pollination, pest control and soil fertility; and increasing habitat connectivity across a range of habitat and climate types.”
Dr. Robert Falls, ERA’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “In being the first in Canada to have attained the rigorous Gold Level Standard, ERA has again demonstrated its pioneering spirit and its capacity for developing high quality projects and carbon offset products for growing international carbon markets.”
The third party validation was completed by KPMG Forest Certification Services Inc. The CERP project is the first project in Canada to be double validated to both the ISO-14064-2 standard and the CCBA Gold Standard.
CERP is a large scale urban ecosystem restoration program that began in the District of Maple Ridge in 2005, and now includes projects in the District of Mission, the City and Township of Langley, and Metro Vancouver. To date, CERP has generated over 700,000 tonnes of Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) for the international carbon markets. The VERs generated from CERP are serialized and registered on the international Markit Environmental Registry.

hab auch schon 51 % Verlust
