GeckoSystems Hosting "Mobile Robots in Motion" Conference
      marketwire

CONYERS, GA--(Marketwire - 02/10/10) - GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pinksheets:GCKO - News) (http://www.geckosystems.com/) announced today that they are hosting their Spring "Mobile Robots in Motion" conference March 24-25, 2010. GeckoSystems is a dynamic leader in the emerging mobile robotics industry revolutionizing their development and usage with "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service™."

"Since we began our world's first in home evaluation trials for eldercare capable personal robots late last fall, we have received many inquiries as to 'how are they going?' Very well and better than expected in some significant ways, so all of us here at GeckoSystems are excited about this upcoming "Mobile Robots in Motion" stakeholder conference to publicly demonstrate our state of the art mobile robots, their technologies and our first product, a personal companion robot, the CareBot™."

"We will be having this conference in our new (since Jan. 1 this year) 4,000 square feet R&D and manufacturing facility in the Honey Creek area of Rockdale County, just south of Conyers, GA. We believe our attendees' planned presence is due to not only our flagship product, our proprietary automatic self-navigation software, GeckoNav™, but also the reality that we have a complete multitasking personal companion robot, the CareBot™, with verbal interaction and 'command and control' capabilities arising from GeckoChat™, and the ability to routinely follow a designated family member with GeckoTrak™ that has been in limited evaluation trials for over two months now."

"We have invited many of our stakeholders for this invitation only event. We expect representation from firms such as PerkinElmer, Texas Instruments, Dell, Acer, Bosch, GRT Electronics, Honeywell, AMD, Oriental Motors, Sparton Medical, Coroware, Lumenvox, Symphony, SIASUN, Skilligent, Computer Science Corp., Enersys, Omron, Intelligent Motion Systems, DigiKey, ABI Research, Frost & Sullivan, Strategy Analytics, Motorola, Bayer Materials, IEE Sensing, Omron-STI, Axis Group, Hewlett Packard, and Market Pulse," observed Martin Spencer, President/CEO, GeckoSystems.

Discussions and live demonstrations of many, if not most, GeckoSystems' mobile robot solutions such as GeckoNav™, GeckoChat™, GeckoTrak™, GeckoScheduler™, GeckoZap™, GeckoOrient™, GeckoSPIO™, GeckoMotorController™, the CompoundedSensorArray™, etc. will be presented during this two day conference. This conference with its live demonstrations will enable many industry observers and investors to witness and determine for themselves the proximity to market and consumer acceptance GeckoSystems' first product, the CareBot, will enjoy. Additionally, they will be better able to evaluate the probability of income streams from technology licensing and applicability in other markets besides the consumer, such as commercial security, commercial cleaning, public safety, professional healthcare, government systems, agriculture, and education.

Like an automobile, mobile robots are made from steel, aluminum, plastic, and electronics, but with ten to twenty times the amount of software running. The CareBot has an aluminum frame, plastic shroud, two independently driven wheels, multiple sensor systems, microprocessors and several onboard computers connected in a local area network (LAN). The microprocessors directly interact with the sensor systems and transmit data to the onboard computers. The onboard computers each run independent, highly specialized cooperative/subsumptive artificial intelligence (AI) software programs, GeckoSavants™, which interact to complete tasks in a timely, intelligent and common sense manner. GeckoNav, GeckoChat and GeckoTrak are primary GeckoSavants. GeckoNav is responsible for maneuvering, avoiding dynamic and/or static obstacles, seeking waypoints and patrolling. GeckoChat is responsible for interaction with the care-receiver such as answering questions, assisting with daily routines and reminders, and responding to other verbal commands. GeckoTrak, which is mostly transparent to the user, enables the CareBot to maintain proximity to the care-receiver using sensor fusion. The CareBot is an Internet appliance that is accessible for remote video/audio monitoring and telepresence.

"One of the many reasons we had our conference last fall, and perhaps several this year, is that 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating.' In other words, very few people have ever seen a personal companion robot in action and consequently do not understand how difficult our many inventions are to achieve. However, live demonstrations give our suite of enabling, proprietary technologies credence and value. We have several large markets before us due to our 'first mover' advantage in them. We are hopeful that some of the firms with which we are having licensing discussions regarding usage of some of our technologies will also be in attendance," concluded Spencer.

Journalists are encouraged to contact Mr. Spencer regarding the progress of GeckoSystems' in home evaluation trials and potential attendance at their upcoming invitation only "Mobile Robots in Motion" conference. Journalists and other interested parties may submit their request for an invitation at their website or call 678-413-9236.

      About GeckoSystems International Corporation:

Since 1997, GeckoSystems has developed a comprehensive, coherent, and sufficient suite of hardware and software inventions to enable a new type of home appliance (a personal companion robot) the CareBot™, to be created for the mass consumer marketplace. The suite of primary inventions includes: GeckoNav™, GeckoChat™ and GeckoTrak™.

The primary market for this product is the family for use in eldercare, care for the chronically ill, and childcare. The primary distribution channel for this new home appliance is the thousands of independent personal computer retailers in the U.S. The manufacturing infrastructure for this new product category of mobile service robots is essentially the same as the personal computer industry. Several outside contract manufacturers have been identified and qualified their ability to produce up to 1,000 CareBots per month within four to six months.

The Company is market driven. At the time of founding, nearly 12 years ago, the Company did extensive primary market research to determine the demographic profile of the early adopters of the then proposed product line. Subsequent to, and based on that original market research, they have assembled numerous focus groups to evaluate the fit of the CareBot personal robot into the participants' lives and their expected usage. The Company has also frequently employed the Delphi market research methodology by contacting and interviewing senior executives, practitioners, and researchers knowledgeable in the area of elder care. Using this factual basis of internally performed primary and secondary market research, and third party research is the statistical substance for the Company's sales forecasts.

Not surprisingly the scientific statistical analyses applied revealed that elderly over sixty-five living alone in metropolitan areas with broadband Internet available and sufficient household incomes to support the increased costs were identified as those most likely to adopt initially. Due to the high cost of assisted living, nursing homes, etc. the payback for a CareBot™ is expected to be only six to eight months while keeping elderly care receivers independent, in their own long time homes, and living longer due to the comfort and safety of more frequent attention from their loved ones.

Using U.S. Census Bureau data and various predictive statistical analyses, the Company projects the available consumer market size in dollars for cost effective, utilitarian, multitasking eldercare personal robots in 2010 to be $74.0B, in 2011 to be $77B, in 2012 to be $80B, in 2013 to be $83.3B, and in 2014 to be $86.6B. With market penetrations of 0.03% in 2010, 0.06% in 2011, 0.22% in 2012, 0.53% in 2013, and 0.81% in 2014, we will anticipate CareBot sales, from this consumer market segment, only, of $22.0M, $44.0M, $176M, $440.2M, and $704.3M, respectively. The Company expects these sales despite -- and perhaps because of -- the present recession due to pent up demand for significant cost reduction in eldercare expenses.

The foregoing forecasts do not include sales in non-metropolitan areas; elderly couples over 65 (only elderly living alone are in these forecasts); those chronically ill -- regardless of age -- or elderly living with their adult children.

The Company's "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service™" are appropriate not only for the consumer, but also professional healthcare, commercial security and defense markets. Professional healthcare requires cost effective, timely errand running, portable telemedicine, etc. Homeland Security requires cost effective mobile robots to patrol and monitor public venues for weapons and WMD detection. Military users desire the elimination of the "man in the loop" to enable unmanned ground and air vehicles to not require constant human control and/or intervention.

The Company's business model is very much like that of an automobile manufacturer. Due to the final assembly, test, and shipping being done based on geographic and logistic realities, strategic business-to-business relationships can range from private labeling to joint manufacturing and distribution to licensing only.

Several dozen patent opportunities exist for the Company due to the many innovative and cost effective breakthroughs embodied not only in GeckoNav, GeckoChat, and GeckoTrak, but also in additional, secondary systems that include: GeckoOrient™, GeckoMotorController™, the GeckoTactileShroud™, the CompoundedSensorArray™, and the GeckoSPIO™.

The present senior management at GeckoSystems has over thirty-five years experience in consumer electronics sales and marketing and product development. Senior managers have been identified for the areas of manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance.

While GeckoSystems has been in the Development Stage, the Company has accumulated losses to date in excess of six million dollars. In contrast, the Japanese government has spent one hundred million dollars in grants (to Sanyo, Toshiba, Hitachi, Fujitsu, NEC, etc.) over the same time period to develop personal robots for their eldercare crisis, yet no viable solutions have been developed.

By the end of this year, the Company plans to complete productization of its CareBot offering with the introduction of its fourth generation personal robot, the CareBot 4.0 MSR. The Company expects to be the first personal robot developer and manufacturer in the world to begin in-home eldercare evaluation trials.

What Does a CareBot Do for the Care Giver?

The short answer is that it decreases the difficulty and stress for the caregiver that needs to watch over Grandma, Mom, or other family members most, if not much, of the time day in and day out due to concerns about their well being, safety, and security.

But, first let's look at some other labor saving, automatic home appliances most of us use routinely. For example, needing to do two or more necessary chores and/or activities at the same time, like laundering clothes and preparing supper.

The automatic washing machine needs no human intervention after the dirty clothes are placed in the washer, the laundry powder poured in, and the desired wash cycle set. Then, this labor saving appliance runs automatically until the washed clothes are ready to be placed in another labor saving home appliance, the automatic clothes dryer. While the clothes are being washed and/or dried, the caregiver prepares supper using several time saving home appliances like the microwave oven, "crock" pot, blender, and conventional stove, with possible convection oven capabilities.

After supper, the dirty pots, pans, and dishes are placed in the automatic dishwasher to be washed and dried while the family retires to the den to watch TV, and/or the kids to do homework. Later, perhaps after the kids have gone to bed, the caregiver may then have the time to fold, sort, and put up the now freshly laundered clothes.

So what does a CareBot do for the caregiver? It is a new type of labor saving, time management automatic home appliance.

For example, the care giver frequently feels time stress when they need to go shopping for 2 or 3 hours, and are uncomfortable when they have to be away for more than an hour or so. Time stress is much worse for the caregiver with a frail elderly parent that must be reminded to take medications at certain times of the day. How can the caregiver be away for 3-4 hours when Grandma must take her prescribed medication every 2 or 3 hours? If the caregiver is trapped in traffic for an hour or two beyond the 2 or 3 they expected to be gone, this "time stress" can be very difficult for the caregiver to moderate.

Not infrequently, the primary caregiver has a 24 hour, 7 days a week responsibility. After weeks and weeks of this sometimes tedious, if not onerous routine, how does the caregiver get a "day off?" To bring in an outsider is expensive (easily $75-125 per day for just 8 hours) and there is the concern that medication will be missed or the care receiver have an accident requiring immediate assistance by the caregiver, or someone they must designate. And the care receiver may be very resistant to a "stranger" coming in to her home and "running things."

So what is it worth for a care receiver to have an automatic system to help take care of Grandma? Just 3 or 4 days a month "off" on a daylong shopping trip, a visit with friends, or just take in a movie would cost $225-500 per month. And that scenario assumes that Grandma is willing to be taken care of by a "stranger" during those needed and appropriate days off.

So perhaps, an automatic caregiver, a CareBot, might be pretty handy, and potentially very cost effective from the primary caregiver's perspective.

What Does a CareBot Do for the Care Receiver?

It's a new kind of companion that always stays close to them enabling family and friends to care for them from afar. It tells them jokes, retells family anecdotes, reminds them to take medication, reminds them that family is coming over soon (or not at all), recites Bible verses, plays favorite songs and/or other music. It alerts them when unexpected visitors, or intruders are present. It notifies designated caregivers when a potentially harmful event has occurred, such as a fall, fire in the home, or simply have not been found by the CareBot for too long. It responds to calls for help and notifies those that the caregiver determined should be immediately notified when any predetermined adverse event occurs.

The family can customize the personality of the CareBot. The voice's cadence can be fast or slow. The intonation can be breathy, or abrupt. The voice's volume can range from very loud to very soft. The response phrases from the CareBot for recognized words and phrases can be colloquial and/or unique to the family's own heritage. The personality can range from brassy to timid depending on how the care giver, and others appropriate, chooses it to be.

Generally, the care receiver is pleased at the prospect of family being able to drop in for a "virtual visit" using the onboard webcam and video monitor for at home "video conferencing." The care receiver may feel much more needed and appreciated when their far flung family and friends can "look in" on them anywhere in the world where they can get broadband Internet access and simply chat for a bit.

Why is Grandma really interested in a CareBot? She wants to stay in her home, or her family's home, as long as she possibly can. What's that worth? Priceless. Or, an average nursing home is $5,000 per month for an environment that is too often the beginning of a spiral downward in the care receiver's health. That's probably $2-3K more per month for them to be placed where they really don't want to be. Financial payback on a CareBot? Less than a year -- Emotional payback for the family to have this new automatic care giver? Nearly instantaneous.

GeckoSystems Develops New GeckoScheduler(TM) for Elder Care Robot Trials
      marketwire

CONYERS, GA--(Marketwire - 02/18/10) - GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pinksheets:GCKO - News) (http://www.geckosystems.com/) announced today that they have recently developed GeckoScheduler 2.0 as they continue to better understand the benefit of personal care robots, such as their CareBot™, to the family in their ongoing in home evaluation trials. GeckoSystems is a dynamic leader in the emerging Mobile Service Robot industry revolutionizing their development and usage with "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security, and Service™."

"We are learning that valued family behaviors can be readily expressed to the care receiver using a CareBot due to the robustness of its functionality. Here, primarily GeckoChat™ and GeckoScheduler™ are utilized. Our caregivers have been telling us that the earlier version of GeckoScheduler was cumbersome and required repeated entries for the same reoccurring reminders. Hence our recent rewrite of this important GeckoSavant™," commented Martin Spencer, President/CEO, GeckoSystems.

"This new version was developed in response to caregivers in our present elder care robot trials. I am pleased to have GeckoScheduler separated from GeckoChat and accessible to every GeckoSavant. Now it is a stand alone AI engine and usable for more than just time and date scheduling of verbal reminders due to its increased flexibility," observed Mark Peele, Vice President, R&D, GeckoSystems.

GeckoScheduler 2.0 enables the caregiver to program the CareBot to remind her mother of her grandchildren's birthday wishes many times a day so even though she may forget, she gets "reminded" of their best wishes. The new GeckoScheduler eliminates putting in more than one instance of the phrase, paragraph, or anecdote for the same reoccurring reminder. Now only one entry is needed with multiple announcements per hour or day.

"We have recently learned that important, valued family behaviors and anecdotes can now be aggregated by members of the family and/or friends to further personalize the CareBot's interaction with the care receiver. Hence our coining of the more appropriate term, 'personal family robot,' as compared to simply 'personal robot.' Our new GeckoScheduler makes this aggregation of valued family behaviors as told in anecdotes, quicker and easier to accomplish," summarized Spencer.

GeckoSavant is the generic name GeckoSystems uses to denote its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) software engines. Historically AI expert systems are simply forward- or backward-chaining using if/then/else logic. Savant means "one with specialized knowledge." GeckoSavants not only use traditional expert systems technologies, but also subsumption and sensor fusion. Further GeckoSavants range on a continuum from skill centric to knowledge centric.

GeckoSystems Responds to Heightened Japanese Interest in Mobile Robots
      marketwire

CONYERS, GA--(Marketwire - 02/24/10) - GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pinksheets:GCKO - News) ( http://www.geckosystems.com) announced today that they have been solicited by a representative of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) as to GeckoSystems' interest in partnering with Japanese firms. GeckoSystems is a dynamic leader in the emerging mobile robotics industry revolutionizing their development and usage with "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service."

Due to this solicitation from JETRO, GeckoSystems' management requested that their U.S. based Japanese representative prepare a formal presentation as to GeckoSystems' business model and suite of mobile robot technologies appropriate for the Japanese marketplace. JETRO provides services including business development support, networking events, extensive market intelligence and access to bilingual Japanese businesses. GeckoSystems' in depth business and technology discussion was presented to JETRO on February 23 at their office in San Francisco.

"Our recently announced 'Mobile Robots in Motion' conference and on going world's first in home elder care robot trials have garnered many inquiries for us regarding our business model, technologies available for licensing, and interest in joint domestic and international ventures. We continue to expect technology licensing revenues to precede revenues from product manufacturing and sales. This augurs well for increased ROI and shareholder value for our investors," observed Martin Spencer, President/CEO, GeckoSystems.

This "Mobile Robots in Motion" conference will be held at GeckoSystems' new 4,000 square feet R&D and manufacturing facility in the Honey Creek area, just south of Conyers, Ga. Attendees, perhaps some from JETRO, will witness not only their flagship product, but also their proprietary automatic self-navigation software, GeckoNav, and the reality that they have a complete multitasking personal companion robot, the CareBot, with verbal interaction and 'command and control' capabilities arising from GeckoChat, verbal reminders from GeckoChat and GeckoScheduler and the ability to routinely follow a designated family member with GeckoTrak. This personal companion robot, the CareBot, has been in limited evaluation trials for over two months now.

While GeckoSystems has been in the Development Stage, the Company has accumulated R&D expenses to date in excess of six million dollars ($6,000,000). In contrast, the Japanese government has spent one hundred million dollars ($100,000,000) in grants (to Sanyo, Toshiba, Hitachi, Fujitsu, NEC, etc.) over the same time period to develop personal robots for their own eldercare crisis, yet no marketable products for their significant Japanese market have been developed by them.

"Our CareBot's ability to verbally remind a designated care receiver at predetermined dates and times that their blood pressure/pulse rate needs to be checked by an optional third-party onboard, integrated robotic sensor system will enable a higher level of safety, security and cost savings for those at home, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, hospitals, etc. Since our CareBots can also run unattended errands and/or automatically follow a designated care receiver, the cost savings to the care giver person or organization should be much greater for enhanced value to our customers and increased ROI for our investors," opined Spencer.

The CareBot is a multitasking personal robot incorporating advanced, proprietary AI software engines such as GeckoNav, GeckoChat, GeckoTrak, and GeckoScheduler. These disparate AI engines work in parallel and/or serially continuously. Given the CareBot's WiFi network connectivity and easy Internet and LAN accessibility, reporting of various healthcare criteria outside of normal, can be quickly sent by telephone, instant or text messaging, and/or email.

Since 1997, GeckoSystems has developed a comprehensive, coherent, and sufficient suite of hardware and software inventions to enable a new type of home appliance (a personal robot) the CareBot, to be created for the mass consumer marketplace. The suite of primary inventions includes: GeckoNav, GeckoChat and GeckoTrak.

Subsequent to, and based on that original market research, they have assembled numerous focus groups to evaluate the fit of the CareBot personal robot into the participant's lives and their expected usage. The Company has also frequently employed the Delphi market research methodology by contacting senior executives, practitioners, and researchers knowledgeable in the area of elder care. Using this factual basis of internally performed primary and secondary market research, and third party research is the factual basis for the Company's sales forecasts.

"We project the available market size in dollars for cost effective, utilitarian, multitasking eldercare personal robots in 2011 to be $74.0B, in 2012 to be $77B, in 2013 to be $80B, in 2014 to be $83.3B, and in 2015 to be $86.6B. With market penetrations of 0.03% in 2011, 0.06% in 2012, 0.22% in 2013, 0.53% in 2014, and 0.81% in 2015, we will anticipate CareBot sales, from this consumer market segment, only, of $22.0M, $44.0M, $176M, $440.2M, and $704.3M, respectively. We expect these sales despite -- and perhaps because of -- the present recession due to pent up demand for significant cost reduction in eldercare expenses," opined Spencer.

The Company's "mobile robot solutions for safety, security and service" are appropriate not only for the consumer, but also professional healthcare, commercial security and defense markets. Professional healthcare require cost effective, timely errand running, portable telemedicine, etc.

Due to the final assembly, test, and shipping being done based on geographic and logistic realities; strategic business-to-business relationships can range from private labeling to joint manufacturing and distribution to licensing only.

Several dozen patent opportunities exist for the Company due to the many innovative and cost effective breakthroughs embodied not only in GeckoNav, GeckoChat, and GeckoTrak, but also in additional, secondary systems that include: GeckoOrient, GeckoMotorController, the GeckoTactileShroud, the CompoundedSensorArray, and the GeckoSPIO.

The present senior management at GeckoSystems has over thirty-five years experience in consumer electronics sales and marketing and product development. Senior managers have been identified for the areas of manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance.

By the end of this year, the Company plans to complete productization of its CareBot offering with the introduction of its fourth generation personal robot, the CareBot 4.0 MSR.

For example, the caregiver frequently feels time stress when they need to go shopping for 2 or 3 hours, and are uncomfortable when they have to be away for more than an hour or so.

And the care receiver may be very resistant to a stranger coming in to her home and "running things."

So what is it worth for a care receiver to have an automatic system to help take care of Grandma? Just 3 or 4 days a month "off" on a daylong shopping trip, a visit with friends, or just take in a movie would cost $225-500 per month. And that scenario assumes that Grandma is willing to be taken care of by a stranger during those needed and appropriate days off.

So perhaps an automatic caregiver, a CareBot, might be pretty handy and potentially very cost effective from the primary caregiver's perspective.

It notifies designated caregivers when a potentially harmful event has occurred, such as a fall, fire in the home, or simply been not found by the CareBot for too long.

The personality can range from brassy to timid depending on how the caregiver, and others appropriate, chooses it to be.

Generally, the care receiver is pleased at the prospect of family being able to drop in for a "virtual visit" using the onboard webcam and video monitor for at home "video conferencing." The care receiver may feel much more needed and appreciated when their far flung family and friends can "look in" on them any where in the world where they can get broadband internet access and simply chat for a bit.

Less than a year- Emotional payback for the family to have this new automatic care giver? Nearly instantaneous-

      Warum soll man kaufen?

      It really is impressive !

GOSY has proprietary mathematical algorithms that are amazing fast and efficient! Much, much better performance than anything else in the world! And I have looked! Nearly all of GOSY's competitors are afraid to talk about their WCET since they are so slow!

I am continuing my studies of GOSY's hardware and software architecture. It is very biological in nature since it is layered like virtually all life on this planet, save slow and dumb jellyfish! Each layer takes in abstracted data, does its thing, and then responds with abstracted updates. This all happens on the onboard LAN running at 10mHz. This means that inter savant communication occurs in very low single digit milliseconds, if not microseconds.

Some academic mobile robot researchers are investigating "Worst Case Execution Time" or WCET. That is the total time to see, understand what is seen, react and then the time for that physical action to be initiated.

GOSY is running their depth camera and GeckoImager(tm) at 20fps, or getting full FOV every 50ms. GeckoNav(tm) requires 15-20ms to update from vision data received to locomotion data sent. The GeckoMotorController(tm) updates every 21ms. So the WCET here is 91ms or less!

THAT IS FANTASTIC! ESPECIALLY ON LOW COST CONSUMER ELECTRONICS!

Here's why: A jet fighter pilot's WCET is 110-120 milliseconds. Spencer's low cost automatic self navigation solution is 20-25% QUICKER than a trained, experienced jet fighter pilot.

THIS IS WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCE for PENNIES!!!!

Eg., this is why: Google's <ahem> driverless car has a worse WCET and cost tens of thousands of dollars to work. And then NOT as good as what Spencer has invented here at GOSY.

      GOSY really is AMAZING!

Financial compliance reasons why GOSY is undervalued:

      1. Compliance with Federal Accounting Standards Board's (FASB, http://www.fasb.org/ ) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) distorts the true economic condition and performance of the company.

This is due to the requirement to expense 100% of all R&D in the year incurred. Hence a complete writeoff of all R&D expenditures, regardless of present and/or future value to ZERO. This required compliance with GAAP forces the Development Stage company to place no assets on their Balance Sheet on the proprietary Intellectual Properties (IP) regardless of the level of probability of future revenues from their R&D activities.

      2. Federal and state tax laws also distort the true economic condition and performance of GOSY.

This is due to the requirement to prepare financials in accordance with FASB 's GAAP for tax filings. This required compliance with GAAP forces GOSY as a Development Stage company to place no assets on their Balance Sheet on the proprietary Intellectual Properties (IP) regardless of the level of probability of future revenues from their R&D activities.

      3. European Unon (EU) accounting standards, if applied to GOSY's financials, would portray the true economic condition and performance of the company much more realistically.

This is due to the requirement to expense only 50% (not 100%) of all R&D in the year incurred. Hence since not a 100% writeoff, 50% is carried as assets on the balance sheet. This fairly reflects the net worth of a Development Stage company from the EU perspective. The EU requires only a 50% writeoff of all R&D expenditures. This simple accounting change would dramatically flip GOSY's net worth and stockholder equity deep into positive territory.

This required compliance with GAAP forces GOSY --as a Development Stage company-- to place no assets on their Balance Sheet on the proprietary Intellectual Properties (IP) regardless of the level of probability of future revenues from their R&D activities.

      4. Ignoring discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses of GOSY's financial pro formas lowers the net present value (NPV) of future net profits of GOSY regardless of hurdle rate (minimum ROI) determined as sufficient for the level of risk.

Ignoring increased stockholder dividends due to significant tax loss carry forwards (which reduces taxes due for several years and hence increases the aftertax income available for distribution as stock dividends to stockholders) distorts by lowering the net present value (NPV) of future dividend payments to GOSY stockholders regardless of hurdle rate used.

The long and short of it all?

GOSY's $8,000,000 in expenditures the last 15 years does not show up on the Balance Sheet due to compliance with GAAP.

NOT because GOSY's IP has little or no value.

That reality definitely undervalues GOSY's IP!

I have been waiting and waiting for the market to figure out how great GOSY's tech is and how many markets they can go into!

In the early part of the PC era, a two legged "walker" was deemed impossible with anything less that a mainframe! The Computer Engineer grad students at Clemson under the direction of Dr. Yuan Zheng, used "register" shifting to get their computations quick enough to balance CURBi in real time. It walked like a penguin as I recall. In fact, it walked faster when the Digital Equipment PC clone was moved up to "turbo" mode. Ha!!! And Spencer was there since he helped them with the design and use of 6 harmonic drives used to give each leg 3 DOF. GREAT WORK!! This introduction was a BIG hit at the Machine Design Show in March of '87. I attended that show due to my longtime interest in robotics.

      Go GOSY!

GeckoSystems Named One of Eight Key Market Players in Service Robotics Industry

      14:35 11.10.12

      PR Newswire

      CONYERS, Ga., Oct. 11, 2012

CONYERS, Ga., Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pink Sheets: GOSY | http://www.geckosystems.com/) announced today that an internationally renowned market research firm, Research and Markets, recently deemed GeckoSystems to be one of eight key market players in the service robotics industry. For fifteen years GeckoSystems has dedicated itself to development of Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service™.

Research and Markets stated in their report, "Personal & Professional Service Robotics Market - Global Forecast & Assessment by Applications & Geography (2012 - 2017)," that:

"The key market players in service robotics industry are Honda Motors (Japan), iRobot (U.S.), AB Electrolux (Sweden), Sony (Japan), Fujitsu (Japan), Toyota (Japan), GeckoSystems (U.S.), and Yujin Robot (South Korea)." http://www.researchandmarkets.com/publication/9rvoof/personal_professional_service_robotics_mark" target="_blank" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.researchandmarkets.com/publication/9rvoof/personal_professional_service_robotics_mark

"We are pleased that the experienced market researchers at Research and Markets are sufficiently astute to accept that small service robot firms, such as GeckoSystems, can nonetheless develop advanced technologies and products as well as much larger, multi-billion dollar corporations such as Honda, iRobot, Sony, Toyota, etc.," reflected Martin Spencer, CEO, GeckoSystems.

In this Research and Markets report, they state:

"The global service robotics market in 2011 was worth $18.39 billion. This market is valued at $20.73 billion in 2012 and expected to reach $46.18 billion by 2017 at an estimated CAGR of 17.4% from 2012 to 2017. The market is driven by factors like aging population, value enhancement by robots, increasing grants and funds by governments, increasing venture capital investments in service robotics companies, enhancements in complementary technologies and integration of robotics with mobile technologies, other smart products, and appliances."

GeckoSystems projects the available market size in dollars for cost effective, utilitarian, multitasking eldercare personal robots in 2013 to be $74.0B, in 2014 to be $77B, in 2015 to be $80B, in 2016 to be $83.3B, and in 2017 to be $86.6B. With market penetrations of 0.03% in 2013, 0.06% in 2014, 0.22% in 2015, 0.53% in 2016, and 0.81% in 2017, we anticipate CareBot sales, from this consumer market segment, only, of $22.0M, $44.0M, $176M, $440.2M, and $704.3M, respectively. The company is presently securing funding for manufacturing, marketing and final beta testing of their CareBot.
"From our humble beginnings on a kitchen table and a two car garage over fifteen years ago, we have demonstrated publicly for companies such as JCPenney, Honeywell, Dell, Ketchum-Crescent, Ember Industries, Future Electronics, Chubb Insurance, Alexian Brothers, Stryker Corp., Allied Plastics, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Hewlett-Packard, to groups of children in schools and to elderly in their homes and nursing homes. CareBot prototypes have been publicly demonstrated at the Robotics Institute of America (RIA), RoboBusiness trade shows, and numerous local computer shows.

"We believe that critical mass has now been achieved in the service robotics industry. Modern computer and optic technology has brought cost reductions that enable us to introduce advanced Mobile Service Robots to the retail market for use in elder care, security, and of course our SafePath™ wheelchair which is in the final stages of pre-production engineering," observed Spencer. "In light of increased government support for robotic health care assistance in the EU, Japan, China, and other countries around the globe, we feel that our market scope estimates are extremely conservative."

      About GeckoSystems:

GeckoSystems has been developing innovative robotic technologies for fifteen years. It is CEO Martin Spencer's dream to make people's lives better through robotic technology.

An overview of GeckoSystems' progress containing over 700 pictures and 120 videos can be found at http://www.geckosystems.com/timeline/.

These videos illustrate the development of the technology that makes GeckoSystems a world leader in Service Robotics development. Early CareBot prototypes were slower and frequently pivoted in order to avoid a static or dynamic obstacle; later prototypes avoided obstacles without pivoting. Current CareBots avoid obstacles with a graceful "bicycle smooth" motion. The latest videos also depict the CareBot's ability to automatically go faster or slower depending on the amount of clutter (number of obstacles) within its field of view. This is especially important when avoiding moving obstacles in "loose crowd " situations like a mall or an exhibit area.

In addition to the timeline videos, GeckoSystems has numerous YouTube videos. The most popular of which are the ones showing room-to-room automatic self-navigation of the CareBot through narrow doorways and a hallway of an old 1954 home. You will see the CareBot slow down when going through the doorways because of their narrow width and then speed up as it goes across the relatively open kitchen area. There are also videos of the SafePath(tm) wheelchair, which is a migration of the CareBot AI centric navigation system to a standard power wheelchair, and recently developed cost effective depth cameras were used in this recent configuration. SafePath(tm) navigation is now available to OEM licensees and these videos show the versatility of GeckoSystems' fully autonomous navigation solution.

Do GOSY's mobile robots really "meander?" NO way!

      Here's why:

First, here is the definition of the word "meander:"
      Quote:
      Quote:
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      me·an·der (m-ndr)
      intr.v. me·an·dered, me·an·der·ing, me·an·ders
      1. To follow a winding and turning course: Streams tend to meander through level land.
      2. To move aimlessly and idly without fixed direction: vagabonds meandering through life. See Synonyms at wander.
      n.
      1. meanders Circuitous windings or sinuosities, as of a stream or path.
      2. A circuitous journey or excursion; ramble. Often used in the plural.
      3. An ornamental pattern of winding or intertwining lines, used in art and architecture.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      http://www.thefreedictionary.com/meandering

I have personally witnessed dozens and dozens of live mobile robot demos. I have personally observed RB5X'x, Hero's, Gemini's, Pioneers, and more than a few hobbybots. NONE of them "meander."

ALL mobile robots are programmed to go in a straight line (or try to), until such time they encounter an obstacle, or enter a pocket (a "box" canyon so to speak). GOSY's mobile robots have 3 low levels of mobile autonomy:
      1. reactive
      2. proactive
      3. contemplative

All of GOSY's mobile robots are predisposed due to programming like ALL mobile robots to go in a straight line. That is NOT meandering since meandering is aimless, circuitous and/or "random."

NO mobile robot with any level of autonomy ever "meanders."

Those that are of the opinion that GOSY's robots "meander" have simply NEVER seen a live demo of ANY mobile robot in their entire lives. In fact, I doubt they can characterize the difficulty for a mobile robot to do a "pocket escape" which requires a "contemplative" low level of autonomy.

As as metaphor, to say that GOSY's robots (and all other, as though others do not "meander") meander is like complaining about airplanes flying sideways due to side winds and if a pilot "crabs" the plane down to landing, then the plane is a junk plane since it "crabbed" due to side winds necessitating that required tactic by the pilot.

If one closely observes the only some of the 120+ videos here on GOSY's website:

      http://geckosystems.com/timeline/

one can readily see that ALL of GOSY's robots "want" go straight (that is NOT meandering since NOT random movements!) until such time "cognizant navigation" takes place when the obstacle avoidance behaviors subsume the end point seeking behavior and enable the robot to gracefully avoid that obstactle. After the robot completes the avoid, the end point seeking behavior (which is straight line biased) subsumes the obstacle avoidance behavior. The foregoing is an example of "subsumptive" AI programming. Very, very advanced.

As one can readily understand, without any advanced calculus and physics, but by simple observation, GOSY's robots, and in fact, most, if not all, mobile robots NEVER meander. As a metaphor, one could just as easily say that an airplane is "no good" since the pilot must "crab" it in to land due to side winds.

      This is obstacle avoidance:
      ------/0bstacle----bstacle/----------------
Note that unless an obstacle is encountered, the robot goes in a straight line, and returns to the same straight line due to GeckoNav's "autopilot seek" AI functionality.

      This is "meandering:"
      /-//_///-//
Note that the zig zag movements are RANDOM and not due to encountering an obstacle.

Careful, scientific analyses clearly indicates it is completely wrong to characterize any mobile robot as "meandering," much less one of GOSY's "loose crowd" level of autonomy as is demonstrated in dozens and dozens of public venue, unstaged videos here:

      http://geckosystems.com/timeline/

However, while the foregoing only requires common sense to readily understand, those intent on decrying GOSY's fantastic tech will now probably argue that the definition of meander and its URL are wrong....

      LOL-

GeckoSystems, a Mobile Robot Company, Updates 1300+ Shareholders

CONYERS, Ga., Feb. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pink Sheets: GOSY | http://www.geckosystems.com/)" target="_blank" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.geckosystems.com/) would like to update our investor community as to the activities we have been engaged in during the past year and anticipate this year. For over fifteen years GeckoSystems has dedicated itself to development of "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service(tm)."

      Marketing – a priority in 2012 and 2013

Last year, 2012, was a very busy year for GeckoSystems and we are excited about this new year! The improved confidence in the US economy along with our ability to successfully demonstrate our proprietary software on the CareBot™ and the SafePath™ wheelchair has increased the level of inquiries and joint venture discussions.

We are most excited about our continued activities in Japan. We have opened a small marketing office in that country with a representative working on joint ventures for GeckoSystems. He has arranged for a demonstration of our BaseBot™, "Lou," at ZMP for a Japanese manufacturing company. This demonstration is scheduled to take place next week.

Additionally, we have retained Mountain Marketing, Inc. in Denver, CO to assist in our U.S. marketing efforts. They update our website routinely and are working on a new site with better navigation and access to our technical discussions. We hope to engage the disabled community and provide additional dealer and manufacturer information on the site. GeckoSystems welcomes OEM inquires about migrating SafePath navigation to existing vehicles and mobile products.

Mountain Marketing is also doing business-to-business marketing of SafePath Enabled™ power wheelchair technology. GeckoSystems believes that SafePath technology will expand the market for power wheelchairs 50% to 200% and is in discussions with domestic wheelchair manufacturers as the result of Mountain Marketing's efforts.

"I'm passionate about getting SafePath Enabled power wheelchairs on the market. Every day lost is a day of enhanced safety and mobility denied to tens of thousands of disabled in the U.S. alone," commented Paula Nelson, President, Mountain Marketing, Inc.

A discussion of the need for SafePath Enabled power wheelchairs and illustrations of what the final product will look like can be found in this report:

      Technology Developments in 2012

Technology development progressed nicely this past year. GeckoConfigEd™ and GeckoVerify™ were developed as a result of what was learned in migrating GeckoNav™, GeckoSuper™, GeckoImager™, and GeckoMotorController™ to a locomotion system (a power wheelchair) not of the Company's design. GeckoVerify™ was developed to ease and facilitate the debugging of communications between multiple proprietary GeckoSystems AI software savants. GeckoConfigEd is a user-friendly program that is used to readily configure the nearly one hundred tuning parameters used by GeckoNav, the basic component of SafePath.

      GeckoSystems' Current Share Structure

The company regrets that our OTC classification has been downgraded to "Stop" sign. While this gives the indication we are not active in our business activities to support all shareholders that is far from the reality. Since our focus has been on securing joint ventures and marketing, we simply have not had the time or financial means to update our Company filings and information on OTC.

However, we want to inform all shareholders of our current share structure since it was last reported June 30, 2012.

      As of February 15, 2013:

      Litigation

In November we secured a Temporary Protective Order in Georgia against Neil Wallace. To date we have not been able to convert that TPO to a Permanent Protection Order, due to inter state personal jurisdiction requirements, not the validity of the need for the PPO. We continue to work on that matter and will keep the shareholders updated. In addition, we are still engaged in litigation with Mr. Wallace and his parents in Delaware. GeckoSystems has a very competent DE attorney who is working diligently regarding these legal issues.

"To all our stakeholders, I am personally very appreciative of your long time support. We have worked over 15 years in developing our "mobile robot solutions for safety, security, and service™" and we continue to believe that our "family first" orientation has enabled us to survive the economic storms of the last few years. We resolutely continue our journey due to our desire to enable families to have a safer, less time stressed, and more cost effective means of caring for their loved ones. Our suite of AI robot technologies is very real, cost effective, and can be used to SafePath Enable mobile platforms not of our design or manufacture. We have several ongoing joint venture discussions consisting of one in Europe, four in the US, and two in Japan. Of course these discussions are sensitive and all parties are under non-disclosure agreements. Our prospects for near term revenues have never been brighter than what they are at present. So while I sincerely regret that we are not Current Information in our filings, we believe our limited resources are better focused on achieving revenues such that our 1300+ stockholder may enjoy the ROI they deserve," stated Martin Spencer, President, GeckoSystems Intl. Corp.

      About GeckoSystems:

GeckoSystems has been developing innovative robotic technologies for fifteen years. It is CEO Martin Spencer's dream to make people's lives better through robotic technology.

In a recent Research and Markets report:

"The global service robotics market in 2011 was worth $18.39 billion. This market is valued at $20.73 billion in 2012 and expected to reach $46.18 billion by 2017 at an estimated CAGR of 17.4% from 2012 to 2017. The market is driven by factors like ageing population, value enhancement by robots, increasing grants and funds by governments, increasing venture capital investments in service robotics companies, enhancements in complementary technologies and integration of robotics with mobile technologies, other smart products, and appliances." http://www.researchandmarkets.com/publication/9rvoof/persona…

An overview of GeckoSystems' progress and accomplishments containing over 700 pictures and 120 videos can be found at http://www.geckosystems.com/timeline/." target="_blank" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.geckosystems.com/timeline/.

The company has successfully completed an Alpha trial of its CareBot personal assistance robot for the elderly. It was tested in a home care setting and received enthusiastic support from both caregivers and care receivers. The company believes that the CareBot will increase the safety and well being of its elderly charges while decreasing stress on the caregiver and the family.

GeckoSystems is preparing for Beta testing of the CareBot prior to full-scale production and marketing. CareBot has recently incorporated Microsoft Kinect depth cameras that will result in a significant cost reduction.

      Kinect Enabled Personal Robot video:

Above, the CareBot demonstrates static and dynamic obstacle avoidance as it backs in and out of a narrow and cluttered alley. There is no joystick control or programmed path; movements are smoother that those achieved using a joystick control. GeckoNav creates three low levels of obstacle avoidance: reactive, proactive, and contemplative. Subsumptive AI behavior within GeckoNav enables the CareBot to reach its target destination after engaging in obstacle avoidance.

GeckoSystems is now being recognized - you can't buy this sort of coverage. Recently it was ZMP confirming the tech, but there is more third party DD to be noted.

There is a UK charity that knows about GOSY and I expect they would buy wheelchair kits as soon as they are on the market. Here's a link to their independent assessment of the robotic wheelchair market. GOSY is the only one with a marketable solution.

I am marketing the SafePath Wheelchair for a JV and assisting Mr. Spencer.

The tech is real and so is the benefit to humanity - otherwise I would not be working for stock. Do you know how many robotics applications are grounded because of insufficent navigation? We have a fully portable software solution that can integrate with any appropriate set of sensors and any locomotion system as long as it doesn't depend on a horse, mule, goat or water ox.

      Article in German technical mag:
      http://www.geckosystems.com/markets/INSPECT_Article.php

Spencer has publicly announced that we are not participating in the OTC until we license tech and establish a revenue stream. Many of our stockholders are the engineers that helped to create the tech and we will not participate in the cheating of stockholders in order to benefit Wall Street vampires.

I personally believe that due to Mr. Spencer's efforts and my own efforts that GeckoSystems' disruptive tech will be recognized in the market.

Thank you to anyone who cares to translate this for me.
