NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Zanett (ZANE) shares rocketed 640% higher Thursday on a spike in trading volume after the customized IT solutions company said it booked $12 million in new contracts during the first two months of 2010.

The contracts consisted of 42 different customers, with the largest worth $4 million, Zanett said. The contracts announcement comes one day after Zanett said it expects to receive a delisting determination letter from the Nasdaq by March 15, due to Zanett's failure to regain compliance with the exchange's minimum bid price requirement.
Zanett said it plans to file an appeal and will "vehemently fight to maintain our current Nasdaq listing." Zanett said it expects to be issued a written decision from a hearing panel 60 days after March 15. Until then, no delisting action will be taken before the hearing process concludes, the company said.
Shares of Zanett were surging by $1.99, or 640%, to $2.30, establishing a new 52-week high. More than 6.01 million shares changed hands by 2:30 p.m. EST Thursday, compared to the stock's 50-day average daily volume of only 20,000 shares.
Zanett has a 3.3 million-share float with 19,000 shares short as of Feb. 12, according to Yahoo! Finance. Insiders hold 58% of the company's shares, with another 1.3% owned by institutions.

During the first 3 months of 2010, over $17.1 million dollars in new business has been closed. This amount is comprised of 57 different customers, with the largest customer being responsible for a $4 million mandate. The $17.1 million in deal closings currently reported for Q1 includes the earlier reported $12.0 million comprising of business closed in January and February 2010.

Over 43% of all new business closed in Q1 was with brand-new customers."
The greater part of the business that has been signed during the past 6 months will be recognized as revenue during the next 4 quarters.

About a month ago, I noted the huge one-day run in shares of a little health-care focused business process outsourcing company called Zanett (ZANE). The stock ran up more than 500% in one day after the company said it received $12 million contracts in January and February.
Well, ZANE today said it signed over $17.1 million in new business in the first quarter - that includes the already announced $12 million in the first two months of the year - including business from 57 customers. ZANE said it was their best single quarter ever. The company added that it has now closed over $30.8 million in business in the last six months.
The company has a demonstrated taste for the over-the-top quote. Last time around, it provided a statement from CEO Dennis Haskins, who said “All I can say is … Business is booming!” The new release quotes Chuck Deskins, president of the company’s commercial solutions business, as saying “I am not easily excitable, but all I can say is… Wow…!”
Wow, indeed.
ZANE today is up $1.40, or 76.1%, to $3.24; as recently as March 1 the stock traded for 26 cents.

hab dieses teil schon lange auf der watch und habs gott sei dank abgewartet nach dem hype auf über 3 usd zu warten mit kaufen!!
aber jetzt wirds lansamm sehr heiss es hat sich meiner meinung nach ein boden gebildet!!!!!
bei denn q berichten oder jahresabschluss werden wir hier sicher über 3 usd sehen!!!
hab dieses teil schon lange auf der watch und habs gott sei dank abgewartet nach dem hype auf über 3 usd zu warten mit kaufen!!
