It is reported that Larsen and Toubro has won a contract worth over USD 81.6 million (AED 300 million) from Abu Dhabi Ports Company, the developer and regulator of ports and industrial zones.
According to a Gulf News report, the contract is for its flagship project at the Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone in Taweelah. Work is due to begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in May 2012.
The agreement is for design, construction, testing and commissioning of the electrical medium voltage power supply through a 33 kV power cable network and three 33kV/11kV primary distribution sub stations, which will provide the main power supply for the first phase of Khalifa Port. The contract also involves construction of civil buildings with utilities such as air conditioning, fire protection and lighting systems.
Located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in Taweelah, KPIZ is a multi billion dollar project that involves construction of a world-scale container and industrial port.

MUMBAI, May 14 (Reuters) - Indian engineering and construction firm Larsen&Toubro said on Friday it had got an order from the National Highways Authority for a project whose estimated cost is 14.5 billion rupees ($322 million).
The order is for six-laning of a highway in the southern state of Tamil Nadu that has to be completed within 30 months, it said in a statement.

The JV company would capitalise on the power transmission and distribution opportunities in South Africa, it said.
The installed power capacity of South Africa is close to 44,000 MW and the current peak demand shortage is about 3,000 MW, which is expected to grow six per cent every year, it added.
Shares of the company gained Rs 12, or 0.6%, to trade at Rs 2,006.70. The total volume of shares traded was 124,987 at the BSE (12.30 p.m., Thursday).

Der Nettogewinn konnte um 32 Prozent, gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres, auf 7,65 Mrd. Rupien (173 Mio. USD) gesteigert werden. Der Umsatz konnte von 79,21 Mrd. Rupien auf 93,31 Mrd. Rupien anwachsen. Damit übertraf das Unternehmen die Erwartungen der Analysten. So kamen von Reuters im Vorfeld befragte Analysten auf einen Profit von 6,57 Mrd. Rupien und einen Erlös von 89,2 Mrd. Rupien.

Larsen & Toubro Metro Rail (Hyderabad), a subsidiary and a special purpose vehicle of the L&T Infrastructure Development Projects, has achieved financial closure for the Rs 121.32-billion Hyderabad metro rail project.
A consortium of 10 banks led by SBI has sanctioned the entire debt requirement of Rs 114.80 billion and the equity component of around Rs 34.40 billion would be infused by the L&T group for the project. The project would get a viability gap grant of Rs 14.58 billion from the central government through the state.
The financial closure of the largest public private partnership project under design, built, finance, operate and transfer (Dbfot) mode in the country till date, has been achieved within six months of signing the project agreement. L&T signed the concession agreement with the government of Andhra Pradesh on Sept. 04, 2010.
L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) has already submitted a performance guarantee of Rs 3.6 billion to the state government.The pre-construction works of the project has already started, and the soil testing and topographical surveys have been completed in most locations along the alignment and conceptual engineering is near to completion.
As per the agreement, construction would have to be completed in five years and the concession period for the project is 35 years (including 5 years of construction) and is extendable by an additional 25 years.

Ich stoße gerade dazu, ich habe den Tipp soeben gelesen und beobachte den indischen Markt.
So langsam kommt L&T wieder in Schwung....

manchmal habe ich eine echt lange Leitung:
aktuellste Datei auf meinem Rechner war bis eben der 2008/09 Abschluss, den ich bei Threaderöffnung runtergeladen haben muss;verglichen mit dem aktuellen 9 Jahre später hat sich das EK vervierfacht, was auf ein CAGR von 16,5% hinausläuft;
hätte man wohl kaufen sollen
