der nervenkitzel für wenig geld,sehr abhängig vom zustand des kapitalmarktes,im moment glauben viele noch an einen double dip,wenn das ausbleibt,gehts nach oben es gibt neues an der otc ,die wollen an der messe teilnehmen

Sollte wirklich nur als Zock betrachtet werden. Ich hab selbst noch 60tsd aus Zeiten als sie noch bei 15 US-ct rumgurkten.
Im Moment weiß niemand so recht, was der CEO G.Muir mit seinen selbst genehmigten 3,x Milliarden Aktien anstellen will. Die kanadische Börsenaufsicht untersucht zumindest noch die rechtliche Grundlage, wie er die Anzahl der autorisierten Aktien von 300 Mio. per eigenem Beschluß als Hauptaktionär auf 5 Mrd. hochgehieft hat und sich bei der Gelegenheit 3,2 Mrd Stücke ins eigene Depot verbuchte. Also mal vorsichtig als Zock betrachten. Das Unternehmen als solches hat eigentlich Potenzial als billige Konkurrenz zu Reuters und Bloomberg (so verrückt das auch klingen mag). Vorausgesetzt Mr. Muir spielt nicht mit gezinkten Karten. Und da bin ich mir absolut nicht sicher.

guten tag,es ist mir eine freude zu sehen,das ich nicht ganz alleine hier bin und hoffe,erlebt hab ich schon vieles auch drei finanzkriesen auch an die anfänge von alpha trade erinnere ich mich noch,diesmal bin ich eben mal dabei.kompliment für den kommentar,er ist passend,wenn man an die vergangenheit denkt vorsicht ist angebracht und abzuraten wäre von ständigem nachkaufen,aber welche chance... dabeisein ist alles.die gestiegenen umsätze und die volatilität drüben,wenn nun noch die weihnachtsrally kommt usw ich bin gespannt aufs nächste filling,das ding hier kann man meiner meinung leicht unterschätzen,schreibt munter weiter,ich habe gemerkt,ich bin hier in guter gesellschaft.

Der Quartalsbericht dürfte wohl wieder einen Gewinn so etwa 50-100tsd ausweisen. Er kommt üblicherweise ziemlich pünktlich 45 Tage nach Bilanzstichtag.
Viel interessanter ist allerdings der Jahresabschluß. Mal sehen, welche Abschreibungen und sonstige Verpflichtungen diesmal das Ergebnis vermasseln. Letztes Jahr waren ja 1,2Millionen nicht einbringbare Forderungen abzuschreiben. Sind wohl ein paar zahlungsunfähige Kunden dabei gewesen.
Mal sehn wie es sich entwickelt.

PS: Es ist schon verdammt komisch, wieviele Firmen dauerhaft Verluste schreiben und trotzdem mit Kursen über 1$ gehandelt werden. Entweder liegts bei unserem Schätzchen an der Story, oder am CEO.

vielen dank für die info,habs mir angesehen,ich hatte mich wie du sicher vermutest für die variante 3 entschieden,aber das juckt noch,möglicherweise steige ich in gruppe 2 auf ha ha möglicherweise könnte man sich auch eine kleine tradingposition aufbauen,weil abgesehen von den tagen an denen hier raubtierfütterung ist,ist das angebot für interressenten irgendwie,,na ja,wenn das wirklich jemand macht,dann hätten wir hier jemand zu gast,der in verdriesslicher stimmung ist dann besorgt man sich halt das research von 2nd opinion research und liest es jeden abend vor dem einschlafen du hast recht mit dem was du schreibst und du bist disziplinert und ehrlich,eben die art anleger,der man es gönnt mal zu gewinnen

Second in a series

On Wednesday, I reported that Vancouver stock promoter Gordon Muir had run afoul of Alberta securities regulators in connection with his promotion of Urban Resource Technologies Inc. in the mid-1990s.

He settled the matter by agreeing to a six-month trading suspension. He was also forced to resign from Urban Resource, and the company was eventually delisted.

Undaunted, Muir and his wife, Penny Perfect, who had aided him in the Urban promotion, popped up in 1999 as the two major shareholders of AlphaTrade.com,a fledgling Vancouver company that traded on the OTC Bulletin Board in the United States.

The couple owned 54 per cent of the outstanding shares, either directly or indirectly through several private companies domiciled in the Bahamas.

Another 24 per cent was owned by Bahamian companies that were said to be unconnected to Muir and Perfect, but had exactly the same addresses as their Bahamian companies.

Nearly all the remaining shares were owned by Unicorn Trade & Commerce (Europe) Ltd., a company that was registered in Ireland but represented by Katharine Johnston, a longtime associate of Muir and Perfect. (Johnston was a director of Urban Resources and later became an Alpha-Trade director and vice-president of business operations.)

The bottom line is that nearly all AlphaTrade's shares were owned by Muir and Perfect, or by people and companies closely associated with them.

AlphaTrade planned to set up private-label websites for brokerage and other financial services firms. The websites would include stock quotes, stock charts, portfolio management and streaming video.

Although the company had no operating business, the share price spiked to $35 in early 1999, indicating the stock was under very tight control.

The business was very slow to develop. By 2002, net revenues were only $513,697 and the net loss was $4.5 million.

Despite the dismal performance, Muir and Perfect, as the firm's two top officers and directors, were making $120,000 US each.

As generous as this was, it apparently wasn't enough. In January 2003, they negotiated new contracts on the premise that their "talents and abilities are unique and have been integral to the success of the company."

The new contracts increased their annual base pay to $240,000 US each, plus cash bonuses "no less than the annual base compensation." They were also to be paid millions of free shares and stock options.

As a result, they earned $6.7 million in compensation during 2003, which accounts for most of the $8.3-million net loss the company reported that year.

But that's not all. The company also paid for their medical, dental and disability insurance; pension and retirement benefits; vehicle expenses; memberships in private clubs and business organizations; first-class business travel and entertainment expenses; even their home mortgage expenses. And if either Muir or Perfect died, the company would pay his or her estate the equivalent of five years of full salary and bonuses, plus $2 million cash. (More on that later.)

In April 2005, the company reported its first quarter of positive cash flow. "AlphaTrade has turned the corner," Perfect declared in a news release.

In 2006, revenues jumped to $4.4 million, but after paying $480,000 cash to Muir and Perfect, plus $3.1 million worth of shares, the net loss was a whopping $5.6 million.

It should be noted that in some years, cash payments were deferred and in some cases waived. Also, by June this year, related parties (presumably Muir and Perfect) had advanced the company $1.9 million. However, this appears to include accrued interest of up to 20 per cent per annum, so the actual amount advanced is not clear. In any event, these amounts pale in comparison to the millions of dollars in cash and shares they have collected during the past decade.

In 2007, the company entered into several advertising and sponsorship agreements with professional sports franchises, including the New York Mets, the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and the Professional Bull Riders Association in the United States.

Revenues jumped 16 per cent to $5.1 million, but marketing expenses increased fives time to a whopping $4.5 million. As a result, the company lost $4.6 million.

The following year, it appeared that the company was enjoying a dramatic reversal of fortune. During the first three quarters, it reported revenues of $8.4 million and a net profit of $3.7 million.

Then, in February and March of this year, shareholders got a rude surprise. The company revealed that it had prematurely included revenue from five advertising contracts in the 2007 statements. As a result, the previously reported net loss had increased by $1.1 million to $5.7 million.

The company also announced it had reviewed its statements for the first three quarters of 2008, and concluded that the collectibility of revenues from one of its advertising contracts was "not reasonably assured." After reversing this entry, the previously reported profit of $3.7 million was reduced to $1.6 million.

By the time the 2008 annual statements were released, the net profit had shrunk to a relatively modest $739,274. This remains the one and only annual profit the company has reported.

In 2009, revenues slumped 25 per cent to $4.5 million, but the net loss swelled to $4.7 million, mainly because, in addition to paying Muir and Perfect $480,000 in base salary, the company recorded a $3.2-million death benefit expense on account of Perfect's death in December, as per the terms of her employment contract.

How this was going to be paid was not clear. By the end of 2009, the company had racked up $41 million in cumulative losses. It was hopelessly insolvent. The New York Mets, the Dallas Mavericks and Professional Bull Riders Association had filed lawsuits for nonpayment. The stock was trading at one to two cents each, which would make an equity issue extremely dilutive to existing shareholders.

NEXT: The company pays Perfect's death benefit by issuing four billion shares at eight-100ths of a cent, of which three billion accrue to Muir. Coincidentally, a massive promotion starts, with stock touts heralding AlphaTrade as the next "mega bagger."

Nunja ist halt ein Zeitungsbericht,ganz schön negative schwingung,die Wirklichkeit sieht eben traurig aus,aber das Ding ist wieder so übel,das man auf Besserung hoffen könnte,das hat ja auch schon einmal funktioniert,sonst hätten sie ja das High auch nicht erreicht,glaube und hoffe,das das jetzt nicht deine endgültige Alpha Kapitulation waraber mal ernsthaft,was die Gewinne der Banken drüben angeht,mache ich mir schon ein bisschen Sorgen,da muss ich zugeben,das hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt,segment derzeit negativ,das werde ich aussitzen

Falls jemand die Filings liest sollte er sich nicht wundern, daß in den letzten 9 Monaten so viele alte Jahrgänge (10Q's und 10K's) veröffentlicht wurden. Da wurden offensichtlich von 2006 bis 2009 von den externen Bilanzunternehmen gravierende Buchungsfehler gemacht. Ob da was im Sinne des Unternehmens bilanztechnisch zurechtgebogen wurde, oder die Qualität der staatlich geprüften Bilanzbuchhalter eher minderwertig war, bleibt eine offene Frage. Jedenfalls hat die Aufsichtsbehörde nach genauerem Hinschauen alle Quartals- und Jahresberichte für ungültig erklärt. Deshalb werden also die alten Kamellen neu aufgearbeitet.

Na gut,das Ding läuft ja wieder,ich habe meine Trauerphase um das Ding nun beendet,ihr könntet das Licht ausknipsen,auf wiedersehen,aber ist schon ärgerlich,daß es auf dieser The Bull Report Seite immer noch keine Kurse gibt
