Solar energy equipment maker Apollo Solar Energy Technology (0566) expects to receive an advance payment of HK$3.3 billion for production lines ordered by Hanergy Group.
The first batch of solar-energy production lines are expected to be delivered in February at the earliest, said Ronnie Hui Ka-wah, Apollo chief financial officer.
In June, Apollo Solar signed a US$2.55 billion (HK$19.89 billion) contract to provide three batches of production lines over three years to Beijing- based alternative energy power producer Hanergy Holding Group.
Hanergy also agreed to subscribe for 4.9 billion of new Apollo shares- accounting for 51.57 percent of its enlarged share capital- at 23.9 HK cents each. The deal will make Hanergy the second-largest Apollo stakeholder.

Apollo made a net profit of HK$40.33 million
in the first half, reversing a net loss of HK$47.7 million a year ago. The profit was due to a strong performance in the solar energy business division it acquired in November.
Revenue rose 3.5 times to HK$688 million - with around 77 percent contributed by the solar energy business. No interim dividend was recommended.

Die Börse Hong Kong ist von 10:00 - 12:30 und 14:30 - 16:00 Uhr Ortszeit geöffnet.
