Area was once mined by pharaohs

      * Firm will spend $2 million on exploration in first year

      By Alexander Dziadosz

CAIRO, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Canadian mining company Nuinsco hopes to seal a concession agreement in Egypt's Eastern Desert before the year-end, allowing it to explore an area where pharaohs once dug up gold to gild amulets and sarcophagi.

Egypt's gold mining industry, dating back to the days of Tutankhamun, faded in the twentieth century largely because of curbs on foreign investment imposed by President Gamal Abdel Nasser but changes to Egypt's mining code in 2008 renewed interest.

Firms such as Nuinsco and Centamin Egypt are betting now that there is more gold beneath the pharaoh's relatively shallow trenches.

"If they were finding gold in a trench that was being dug down to six feet, there's no reason to think that the gold ended at the bottom of that trench," Nuinsco President Paul Jones told Reuters in a telephone interview.

Nuinsco must spend $2 million on exploration in its first year under the terms of the Bukari concession agreement, Jones said. The firm plans to begin some early sampling, prospecting and mapping next week.....

Nuinsco Finalizes Agreement on Egyptian Gold Concession

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Sep. 9, 2010 (Marketwire) -- Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that it has finalized, through its Egyptian subsidiary Z-Gold Resources Limited ("Z-Gold"), a concession agreement with the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) covering the Bukari gold Concession Area located in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.

"Finalizing this agreement with EMRA is a major step toward gaining tenure at Bukari," said Paul Jones, President. "Having a signed concession agreement enables Nuinsco to begin a gold exploration program, which is expected to commence with initial field work this fall in a region that has historically produced millions of ounces of gold, and where millions more are now in production."

The concession agreement, which incorporates a production-sharing agreement and exempts the Company from payment of all taxes, will now be reviewed by the Egyptian State Council before being passed into law by the Egyptian Parliament followed by grant of tenure. The entire process is expected to be finalized over the next several months.

Completion of this concession agreement will provide the framework to complete a second concession agreement on the Umm Samra gold property. Both Bukari and Umm Samra are located in the highly prospective Eastern Desert approximately 50 kilometres northwest of Centamin Egypt Limited's ("Centamin") flagship multi-million ounce Sukari Gold Mine (see map attached) which is expected to produce 200,000 ounces of gold in 2010. Apart from work conducted by Centamin, very little exploration employing modern methods has been conducted and the region can be considered frontier terrain. Gold occurrences and deposits in the Eastern Desert orogen have all of the hallmarks of those in highly productive gold producing domains of similar age, such other similar sized districts in Central Asia, North and South America. Typically, such districts contain at least 1,000 tonnes of gold. Historical gold production from Eastern Desert gold occurrences during Phaoronic times is very difficult to accurately estimate, but production of several million ounces, and potentially significantly more, is considered possible.

Bukari encompasses 13 known gold occurrences dating to Phaoronic times. Historic exploitation consists of pits and trenches excavated to no more than several metres depth. Recent prospecting by Z-Gold produced a quartz vein grab sample from the Zeidoun occurrence on the Umm Samra property that returned a value of 13.95 g/t gold, while several grab samples of quartz veins from the Bukari occurrence on the Bukari property returned anomalous values up to 1.44 g/t gold.

Paul Jones, P.Geo., President of Nuinsco, is a QP for the Company under NI 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the technical content of this press release.

Nuinsco Begins Field Exploration at Bukari Gold Concession in Egypt's Eastern Desert

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Sep. 29, 2010 (Marketwire) -- Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that it has begun a field exploration program at the Bukari gold concession in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.

Nuinsco recently announced the signing of a concession agreement covering Bukari (see news release dated September 9, 2010) which, along with the Umm Samra gold concession, was granted during Egypt's 2009 International Bid Round administered by the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority ("EMRA").

"We have established a solid presence and are comfortable doing business in the Middle East North Africa ("MENA") region," said Rene Galipeau, Vice-Chairman and CEO. "These Egyptian concessions, combined with our projects in Turkey, could be significant enough to consider building a new company focused on MENA countries to take advantage of other opportunities in this underexplored and highly prospective region and create meaningful value for our shareholders."

The program now underway at the Bukari gold concession includes identifying and excavating past gold producing sites, sampling and mapping in preparation for a systematic and comprehensive exploration and drilling program that will begin as soon as possible.

Both Bukari and Umm Samra are located in the Eastern Desert approximately 50 kilometres northwest of Centamin Egypt Limited's ("Centamin") flagship multi-million ounce Sukari Gold Mine (see map attached) which is projected to produce 160,000-170,000 ounces of gold in 2010 and is being expanded to increase production to about 500,000 oz per year over the next three years. Apart from work conducted by Centamin, very little exploration employing modern methods has been conducted and the region. Gold occurrences and deposits in the Eastern Desert have all of the hallmarks of highly productive gold producing domains of similar age in Central Asia, North and South America. Typically, such districts contain at least 1,000 tonnes of gold. Gold production from Eastern Desert gold occurrences during Pharaonic times is very difficult to accurately estimate, but production of several million ounces, and potentially significantly more, is considered possible.

Bukari encompasses 13 known gold occurrences dating to Pharaonic times. Historic exploitation consists of pits and trenches excavated to no more than several metres depth. Recent prospecting conducted through Nuinsco's 50%-owned Egyptian subsidiary Z-Gold Resources Limited produced a quartz vein grab sample from the Zeidoun occurrence on the Umm Samra concession that returned a value of 13.95 g/t gold, while several grab samples of quartz veins from the Bukari occurrence on the Bukari concession returned anomalous values up to 1.44 g/t gold. The average reserve grade at Centimin's Sukari Gold Mine is 1.15 g/t gold.

All exploration work is supervised by Paul Jones, President, who acts as QP under National Instrument 43- 101 and has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.

The proceeds of the Private Placement will to be used primarily for exploration of the Company's existing Middle East North Africa ("MENA") region mineral projects located in Turkey and Egypt. Nuinsco, through its Egyptian subsidiary Z-Gold Resources Limited, recently signed a concession agreement with the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority covering the Bukari gold concession located in the Eastern Desert of Egypt (see news release dated September 9, 2010). Bukari is one of two gold concessions awarded to the Company in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Nuinsco also has two exploration projects in Turkey: the Berta gold-copper-moly porphyry, a 50:50 joint venture with Xstrata Copper where drilling has identified a significant, continuous domain of strong sulphide mineralization averaging 710.9 metres grading 0.28% copper and 0.07 g/t gold (see news release dated April 25, 2007), and the Elmalaan property, a 100%- owned VMS property where massive sulphide grading 30.8% copper and 56.3% zinc has been returned from boulders and outcrop and where drilling has intersected multiple intercepts of gold grading up to 2.85g/t, silver to 211g/t and zinc to 9.25% (see news release dated May 22, 2007). These assets could provide a viable platform for the creation of a company focused on the MENA region.

The proceeds of the Flow-Through Private Placement will to be used for exploration of the Company's Olympian gold project and Prairie Lake rare earth project in Ontario.

All exploration has been supervised by Paul Jones, President, who acts as QP under National Instrument 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.

Egypt eyes new mining law to attract gold investors

CAIRO, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Egypt is drafting new legislation to boost investment in its mining sector, a minister said in remarks published on Tuesday, as the country seeks to capitalize on renewed interest in gold mining in its Eastern Desert.

Pharaohs once dug up gold in the desert to gild amulets and sarcophagi, but the industry faded in the 20th century largely because of curbs on foreign investment imposed by President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Other changes to Egypt's mining code in 2008 renewed interest, attracting firms such as Centamin (CEY.L: Quote) and Canadian mining company Nuinsco (NWI.TO: Quote).

The Eastern Desert, littered with pharaonic mines, is now seen as a potentially lucrative source of gold. [ID:nLDE68K18W]

Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Sameh Fahmy said his ministry had finished drafting a new law to encourage investment in mining and protect the country's resources from being wasted, the state-run al-Ahram newspaper reported.

The cabinet was reviewing the draft and will pass it along to parliament for ratification, Fahmy said.

The ministry has drafted a mining map locating 120 gold mines it believes were used by the pharaohs, he said, adding that more than 100 foreign firms had shown interest.

"We expect at least 50 international firms to be operating in Egypt in the coming period," Fahmy said. (Reporting by Dina Zayed; editing by James Jukwey)

Nuinsco's Initial Exploration at Bukari Gold Concession in Egypt Now Complete
Drilling Planned at Diabase Peninsula and Prairie Lake Before Year End

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Oct. 29, 2010 (Marketwire) -- Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that it has completed an initial field examination at the Bukari and Umm Samra gold concessions in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.

The program consisted of mechanical and hand excavation of several known gold occurrences -- some of which were sites of historic gold production -- followed by prospecting and reconnaissance mapping. This work was conducted in order to characterize the gold mineralization and assist in the preparation of a systematic and comprehensive exploration program that will begin as soon as practicable.

During the course of work, geologists identified and collected samples from six widely-separated, historic gold occurrences on the Bukari and Umm Samra gold concessions, both of which are essentially unexplored using modern techniques. Prospective quartz veining and/or sheared and altered host rock were observed at all of the sites visited. Of particular significance was the prospecting conducted at the Bukari 1 showing, where visible gold was identified in one hand sample; the vein containing that gold was traced for over one kilometre along strike. Assays from the work are pending. Nuinsco operates in Egypt through its subsidiary Z-Gold Resources Limited.

Bukari and Umm Samra are located about 50 kilometres northwest of Centamin Egypt Limited's ("Centamin") flagship multi-million ounce Sukari Gold Mine which is projected to produce 160,000-170,000 ounces of gold in 2010 and is being expanded to increase production to about 500,000 oz per year over the next three years.

In addition to the work in Egypt, programs and initiatives on the Company's exploration projects are reported below.

      Prairie Lake Project

A 3,000 metre drill program will begin in November at the Company's 100%-owned Prairie Lake Project near Marathon, Ontario. The drilling will further examine the enormous domain of mineralized rock present at Prairie Lake and follows an aggressive trenching program, totalling over 2 kilometres, conducted during the summer. Assays are still pending. The trenching focused on parts of the property that to-date have seen little or no systematic exploration and are not included in the 330 to 360 million tonne Exploration Target Mineralization Inventory ("ETMI") estimate which was announced earlier this year.

The ETMI, which only considers 12% of the total surface area of the Prairie Lake complex, demonstrates the huge scale and potential economic significance of the project.

The National Instrument 43-101-compliant ETMI estimated between 330 and 360 million tonnes averaging 3.5% to 3.7% P2O5 and 0.12% to 0.14% Nb2O5 (1.2 to 1.4 kg/tonne) (see news release dated January 13, 2010). In addition to phosphorous and niobium, the suite of minerals of economic significance at Prairie Lake includes tantalum (Ta), uranium (U), rare earth elements (REE), wollastonite and carbonate.

Readers are cautioned that the potential quantity and grade of the ETMI is conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource. It is uncertain if further exploration will result in the discovery of a mineral resource.

      Diabase Peninsula Project

A 2,000 metre drill program is planned for November at the Diabase Peninsula Project. The drilling will target those parts of the property that have demonstrated anomalous uranium levels typical of values at the margins of economic uranium deposits elsewhere in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. The presence of anomalous uranium mineralization, along with strongly anomalous concentrations of minerals such as arsenic, cobalt, nickel and boron near gravity "lows," only serves to heighten the prospective nature of the geology on the property.

Exploration work on the 21,900 hectare Diabase Peninsula Project, located approximately five kilometres north of the southern boundary of Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin, has included 28 widely-spaced drill holes totalling 11,205 metres, airborne and ground geophysical surveys, geochemical surveys and mapping.

      Olympian Gold Project

An initial program of diamond drilling has been completed at the Olympian Gold Project near Kenora, Ontario. Results have not been released to date due to unacceptable delays on the part of the assay lab. Assays are expected shortly. In all 12 drill holes, totalling 1,164m, were completed that followed geophysical surveys and extensive trenching, stripping and channel sampling that returned grades up to 10.98 ounces per ton (341.81 g/t) gold (see news release dated June 2, 2010).

Drilling targeted domains of deformed and altered rock known to be gold-bearing, testing for extensions at depth to surface showings and evaluating geophysical responses, particularly from the induced polarization (IP) survey which subsequent stripping has shown to be capable of discriminating areas of interest from country rock.

The Olympian gold project consists of 18 mining claims and three patented mining claims totaling 14.05 km(2)that are easily accessible by road and are located approximately 28 km southeast of Kenora. Mineralization consists of a series of gold, silver and copper-bearing veins traced for up to 800 metres and hosted by mafic metavolcanic rocks.

Three Showings Return Significant Results on Surface, Attest to Widespread Gold Mineralization
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/20/11 -- Nuinsco Resources Limited ('Nuinsco' or 'the Company') (TSX: NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced additional assay results from surface sampling that further confirm the extensive gold mineralization on its Bukari Concession in Egypt's Eastern Desert.

The work reported here was conducted on five gold occurrences, three of which are located on Nuinsco's Bukari concession area (Daghbag, Abu Muawaad and #8 Prospect - see map attached) and two (Gabal El Hadid and Umm Nar) which are located outside of the Company's Bukari and Umm Samra concessions.

'These occurrences, including #8 Prospect of which we were not previously aware, is further proof of the widespread gold mineralization on the Bukari Concession,' said Paul Jones, President. 'This area has not been subject to any modern exploration programs and absolutely no sub-surface exploration subsequent to Pharaonic/Roman activity where mining was only conducted to an approximate depth of 10m. We are convinced that the region hosts significant potential for discovery.'

These occurrences are distinct from the previously-reported Bukari, Bukari North and Talat Gadalla gold occurrences which together comprise 11 kilometres of significantly gold-mineralized strike length in shear zone hosted quartz veins. At least ten samples have been collected from each of the occurrences tabulated below, all of which occur in a geological setting similar to Bukari, Bukari North and Talat Gadalla.

Corner Bay is only one of the projects acquired in the Chibougamau mining camp. The mineral resource estimate was completed by Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. ("RPA"). Corner Bay, along with a vast package of processing, past producing, and exploration assets, is owned by CBay Minerals Inc., a private company jointly owned by Nuinsco and Ocean Partners Investments Limited ("Ocean Partners").

"With 825,000 tonnes of M&I resources grading 3.42% copper, the partially-developed Corner Bay deposit is the most likely target for first production from CBay's Chibougamau assets," said CBay's CEO Roland Horst. "In addition, with drill results including 16.2 metres (7 metres horizontal width) grading 9.27% copper at 1,200 metres vertically below surface, RPA highlights the potential to add significant tonnage to the current mineral resources at depth with additional drilling," Mr. Horst added.

RPA estimated the mineral resources at Corner Bay as follows:

      Tonnage Grade Category Metric Tonnes % Cu g/t Au g/t Ag ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Measured 360,000 3.44 0.33 2.92 Indicated 465,000 3.40 0.31 4.32 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total Measured & Indicated 825,000 3.42 0.32 3.71 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inferred 734,000 3.33 0.28 11.56 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: 1. CIM definitions were followed for mineral resources. 2. Mineral resources are estimated at a cut-off grade of 2.0% Cu, using a long-term copper price of US$3.50/lb. and a US$/C$exchange rate of 1.0. 3. A minimum mining width of 2.0 metres and a bulk density of 3.12 t/m3 were used. 4. A 1,000 tonne/day underground operation, metallurgical recovery of 96.5%, mining costs of US$75/tonne, processing costs of US$25/tonne, G & A costs of US$25/tonne and transportation costs to the Copper Rand mill of US$5/tonne were assumed. 5. Numbers may not add due to rounding.
The mineral resources at Corner Bay commence at bedrock surface that is covered by a thin layer of overburden. Copper mineralization in the deposit occurs in two distinct veins and the wallrock immediately adjacent to them. Vein 1 and Vein 2 have horizontal widths in the range of 2.0-3.0 metres and a strike length of about 700 metres. Measured and Indicated mineral resources have been estimated to about 400 metres depth, however RPA states "there are indications that mineralization exists at greater depths below the estimated mineral resources and one hole has intersected significant mineralization at approximately 1,000 metres below surface."

That hole, CB-05-92, was drilled to a depth of 1,440 metres (1,200 metres vertical depth), intersecting over 16 metres of 9.27% copper (7 metres horizontal width). RPA states that "this very high grade and thick intersection appears to line up with the projection of Vein 1 at depth" (see Figure 1 attached). RPA concluded that, due to a lack of drill density, hole CB-05-92 could not be included in the estimation of inferred mineral resources (as it had been in an earlier National Instrument 43-101-compliant report completed in 2006 for the previous owner by Geostat Systems International Inc.), however it remains an obvious and compelling priority exploration target.

The Corner Bay project was partially developed in 2008 by its former owner, with a ramp to a depth of 115 metres to access the deposit at the 55, 75 and 105 metre levels. The underground workings are currently flooded up to the portal opening. CBay estimates that up to $20 million was spent on the Corner Bay project up to 2009 and believes that the Measured and Indicated mineral resources can be accessed from the existing ramp as planned.

About 40,000 tonnes of development rock was extracted during the development of the Corner Bay ramp and processed at the Copper Rand Mill, which is now also owned by CBay. The average recovery rates at the Copper Rand Mill were 94.04% copper, 61.59% gold and 65.87% silver, on an average head grade of 2.48% copper, 0.013 ounces per ton gold and 0.204 ounces per ton silver. Development was just reaching the bulk sample target when the crash of the financial markets and copper price in 2008 forced the suspension of development to take a bulk sample.

Corner Bay is located 45 kilometres by road from Chibougamau and the Copper Rand Mill. In addition to Corner Bay and the Copper Rand mill and permitted tailings facility, CBay's assets include eight past-producing mines representing 75% of total copper and gold production from the Lac Dore Complex which has produced 47.6 million tons of ore containing 1.6 billion pounds of copper and 3.2 million ounces of gold, and a 96,000 acre land package that hosts significant exploration potential, giving CBay a dominant position in the Chibougamau mining camp.

The mineral resource estimate was undertaken by Robert de l'Etoile of RPA, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. All exploration work is supervised by Paul Jones, P.Geo, President, who acts as Nuinsco's Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Jones and Mr. de l'Etoile have reviewed and approved the technical contents of this news release. A National Instrument 43-101 technical report will be filed on SEDAR as soon as possible and in any event within 45 days from the date of this release.

Nuinsco Begins Diamond Drilling on CBay Minerals' Chibougamau Gold Properties
Program targets gold occurrences and geophysical targets on Portage Island

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 7, 2012) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that a minimum 1,500 metres of diamond drilling has begun on CBay Minerals Inc.'s ("CBay") Portage Island gold properties in the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec. The drilling will explore historic gold targets and new targets identified from a recently-completed induced polarization geophysical survey (see news release of October 17th, 2012).

"The near-surface exploration potential of Portage Island was identified in 1903 with the discovery of the McKenzie Vein, the Chibougamau camp's original gold showing," said Nuinsco President Paul Jones. "We see a good opportunity to expand on this historic gold-bearing structure that has been partially mined at depth (starting at 200m) from the nearby Portage Mine, where it was estimated to have graded 0.24 ounces gold per ton, and to investigate the other prospective gold targets on the island."............

Nuinsco Announces First Results from Drilling on Chibougamau Gold Properties
Provides indication of near-surface gold mineralization at Portage Island

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2012) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced positive results from the first three drill holes of an 18-hole diamond drilling program conducted in November on CBay Minerals Inc.'s ("CBay") Portage Island gold occurrences in the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec.

Near-surface (less than 30 metres) assays from the McKenzie Vein include 8.62 metres grading 2.31 g/t gold and 3.48 metres grading 5.45 g/t gold, with values peaking at 23.4g/t gold. :):lick:

The 18-hole, 1,700m drilling program tested a number of gold targets, including a portion of the McKenzie Vein above where it was mined as part of the Portage Mine and new targets acquired from an induced polarization geophysical survey that was also completed this autumn (see news release of October 17th, 2012). The Portage Mine was in production between 1959 and 1997. All remaining assays are expected early in the new year.

"Originally identified in 1903 the McKenzie Vein is the Chibougamau camp's original gold showing, however it has not been explored extensively at surface or along strike. The initial focus of our drilling was the 100-metre-plus surface exposure of the vein, yet its strike length is interpreted to be at least 250m and potentially up to 1,600m to the west across Portage Island," said Nuinsco's President Paul Jones. "The historic gold bearing structure was only partially mined at depth (starting at 200m) from the nearby Portage Mine, where it was estimated to have average 0.24 ounces of gold per ton. This program will help to define and develop not only this structure but also the other prospective gold targets on the island.".................

Nuinsco drills 354.6 m of 0.14% Cu at Berta

      2013-01-08 11:20 ET - News Release

This item is part of Stockwatch's value added news feed and is only available to Stockwatch subscribers.
Here is a sample of this item:

      Mr. Paul Jones reports

INITIAL DRILLING RESULTS FURTHER DEMONSTRATE SCALE OF BERTA COPPER ANOMALY IN TURKEY

Nuinsco Resources Ltd. has released the initial results received from the diamond drilling program conducted on the Berta project in Turkey during the autumn of 2012. The work program was operated by the company's joint venture partner, Xstrata Copper.

The Berta project is a copper porphyry target which is reputed to be the largest copper anomaly in the Turkish Pontides metals belt. As such, it is an attractive and prospective exploration target.

A total of six diamond drill holes were completed in a work program that follows up on the widespread and very anomalous copper mineralization identified in previous work programs. The drilling targeted areas not previously drilled but which are overlain by very strong copper-in-soil anomalies located at the centre, east and north of the Berta porphyry system.

Results from past drill programs conducted between 2005 and 2008 returned very positive results, including DDH SD-07-08, collared at the northeast periphery of the Berta system, which intersected 710.9 metres grading 0.28 per cent copper and 0.07 gram per tonne gold between 3.80 m and 714.7 m (see press release dated April 25, 2007), and DDH SD-08-10 (collared 500 m south of SD-07-08) which returned 164.0 m grading 0.20 per cent copper and 0.06 gram per tonne gold between 250.5 m and 414.5 m (see press release dated Oct. 20, 2008)...........

Nuinsco Announces Additional Positive Drill Results From Chibougamau Gold Properties

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 15, 2013) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced analytical results from six diamond drill holes completed in November 2012 on CBay Minerals Inc.'s ("CBay") Portage Island gold occurrences in the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec.

These results follow those from the first three holes of the program, reported on December 20, 2012, and include gold analyses as high as 54.2g/t Au (over 0.29m) and intervals including 4.52g/t Au over 5.42m and 2.31g/t Au over 2.96m. A number of elevated copper analyses were also returned.

As previously reported, the 18-hole, 1,683m drilling program tested a number of gold targets, including a portion of the McKenzie Vein above where it was mined as part of the Portage Mine, as well as new targets acquired from an induced polarization geophysical survey that was also completed this fall (see news release of October 17th, 2012).

The Portage Mine was in production between 1959 and 1997. Further assays are expected shortly...........

Nuinsco Announces Results That Further Indicate Large Scale of Copper Mineralization at Berta

      HIGHLIGHTS:

      - Only 17 widely-spaced holes drilled to date.
      - Drilling indicates greater than 8 KM2 copper-mineralized area.
      - Copper mineralization has been intersected in all holes.
      - Drilling shows stronger mineralization in the eastern part of the Berta porphyry.
      - More drill results will follow.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 25, 2013) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that the analytical results from DDHs SD-12-14 and SD-12-15, the third and fourth drill holes of a six-hole program on the Berta copper project in Turkey during the autumn of 2012, continue to indicate the significant scale of the Berta porphyry mineralization. Located in northeastern Turkey, Berta is reputed to be the largest copper anomaly in the Turkish Pontides metals belt. Total area covered by the 17 widely-spaced drill holes completed to date is about 8 sq km. Copper has been obtained in all holes but the east side of the Berta Complex seems to provide better overall results.

Drill hole SD-12-14 of the 4,720-metre 2012 program returned 488.4m grading 0.06% copper, with grades up to 0.45% copper over 1.5 metres. This hole was collared on the west side of the copper-in-soil anomaly near the north boundary of the porphyry target where it intersected phyllic altered and sulphide mineralized dacite throughout. One kilometre to the south-east DDH SD-12-15 returned 876.4 metres of 0.06% copper, including grades up to 3.76% copper over 0.2 metres. This hole intersected similarly mineralized dacite underlying the north-eastern part of the copper-in-soil anomaly.

Berta is clearly a very prospective and a very large exploration target where, in addition to widespread copper, gold and silver mineralization in bedrock, locally anomalous molybdenum has also been identified at depth in some drill holes. Results from previous drill programs also returned very positive results, including DDH SD-07-08 which intersected 710.9m grading 0.28% copper and 0.07g/t gold (see press release dated Apr. 25, 2007) and DDH SD-08-10 which returned 164.0m grading 0.20% copper and 0.06g/t gold see press release dated Oct. 20, 2008).

"Once again the analytical results speak to the huge scale of the copper mineralization in the Berta porphyry system," said Nuinsco's President Paul Jones. "The drill holes were widely spaced in areas that were not previously drilled and, as with most holes drilled to date, both obtained long intersections of strongly altered and copper-mineralized rock. The results obtained from SD-12-14 and SD-12-15 build on past drilling by continuing to demonstrate the scope and continuity of the copper mineralization at Berta.

All drill holes reported to date have returned copper mineralization."

The work program was operated by the Company's joint venture partner Xstrata Copper. Analytical results are tabulated below; all analyses were produced by ALS Laboratories Vancouver, BC facility.

Nuinsco Begins Second Round of Drilling on CBay Minerals' Chibougamau Properties

Program targets widespread copper-gold occurrences and new geophysical targets

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 7, 2013) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or "the Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today announced that it has begun a minimum of 1,500 metres of diamond drilling upon CBay Minerals Inc.'s ("CBay") landholdings in the Chibougamau mining camp area of north-central Quebec.

The 2013 drilling program follows a successful 18-hole, 1,683 metre diamond drilling program conducted by Nuinsco during the autumn of 2012. The 2012 drill program, the results of which have been previously reported, focused on evaluating known gold occurrences and newly-identified geophysical targets in the Portage Island area. Portage Island is located near to the Copper Rand mill and tailings facility (owned outright by CBay; CBay in turn is 50%-owned by Nuinsco) at the northeast end of the 96,000 acre CBay land package. Portage Island hosts the past-producing Henderson I, Henderson II and Portage copper/gold mines, and the McKenzie gold vein. In addition, the Portage Island claim group hosts numerous underexplored exploration targets, including the Baie du Commencement copper/gold zone, Hematite Bay gold and copper zones and two magnetite bodies - the Magnetite North and Magnetite South zones.

This year's drill program will follow up on past results from Portage Island, will test geophysical and geological targets developed from the Company's field program which has been ongoing for much of 2013, and will validate results reported from historic work near the past-producing Joe Mann gold mine and at the advanced-stage high-grade Devlin copper project that was acquired by CBay earlier this year.

"This work program will contribute to Cbay's short-term goal of delineating a near-surface mineral inventory at CBay's partially-developed satellite deposits - Corner Bay, Devlin and Perch River - that are located within a short trucking distance of the Copper Rand mill and tailings facility and which might be brought into production relatively quickly and inexpensively," said Nuinsco's Chief Executive Officer, Paul Jones.

Nuinsco Successfully Upgrades Phosphorus Concentrate from Prairie Lake Project

Potential markets include fertilizer and a variety of widely-used industrial products

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 24, 2013) - Nuinsco Resources Limited ("Nuinsco" or the "Company") (TSX:NWI) (www.nuinsco.ca) today reported that it has identified a simplified metallurgical extraction process resulting in a concentrate with improved phosphorus recoveries and very low levels of impurities from mineralization at its Prairie Lake phosphorus/rare metals/niobium project in northwestern Ontario.
The project hosts a suite of elements of economic significance which range in application from leading-edge technologies to such fundamentally important products as fertilizer grade phosphorus concentrate.

"We are undertaking a comprehensive evaluation of the economic potential of this exceptional property in light of continuing evaluation concerning the processing and commercial marketability of concentrates produced from mineralization in Prairie Lake rock," said CEO Paul Jones. "These phosphorus results are only one step in this process, but are indicative of the potential value of this asset to Nuinsco as a provider of products to the fertilizer, detergent and industrial minerals sectors and beyond."

This most recent round of testing indicates that an apatite concentrate grading in excess of 29% phosphorus ("P2O5") can be produced at a 71% P2O5 recovery. It is very significant that this recovery is a substantial improvement over that reported in previous testing (see press release dated March 26, 2013) and has important implications with regard to the commercial viability of concentrate production. Apatite is the phosphorus-bearing mineral in a rock that also contains calcite, dolomite, biotite, magnetite and rutile.

A significant step in the laboratory test work was the development of a process flowsheet that is vastly simpler than processes used in previous tests, yet still capable of producing the above-listed grade and recovery of P2O5. This could have a favourable impact on the economics and marketability of any future production of P2O5 concentrate at Prairie Lake, as should the presence of only very low levels of impurities (0.43 to 0.76% fluorine, 0.01% chlorine and 2.85 to 6.63% carbon).

The phosphorus process test work reported here was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Huang Liming by Corem in Quebec City, the same laboratory which, to date, has completed other phases of metallurgical testing on the Prairie Lake mineralization. Tests were conducted on rock collected as part of a 1,000kg sample grading 3.18% P2O5 (and 0.13% niobium ("Nb2O5") with a specific gravity of 2.99 g/cc and a bulk density of 1.59 g/cc (after crushing to -1.7mm). The apatite contains on average 43.1% P2O5 and occurs in the form of clear, well-formed crystals up to 250 μm in size. The primary use of apatite is in the manufacture of fertilizer but it also has important industrial applications, including industrial cleaners, pharmaceuticals, dyes and ceramic glazes.

      About Prairie Lake

Located about 45 kilometres northwest of Marathon, Ontario, Nuinsco's 100%-owned Prairie Lake property covers the entire 2.8 km2 (at surface) Prairie Lake carbonatite complex and is easily accessible from the TransCanada Highway. In January, 2012, Nuinsco bought back a 2% production royalty making the property royalty-free.

The NI-43-101-compliant Exploration Target Mineralization Inventory ("ETMI") (see news release issued October 26, 2011) is 515 - 630 million tonnes grading between 0.09-0.11% Nb2O5 (0.9 to 1.1 kg/tonne) and 3.0-4.0% P2O5 - making Prairie Lake one of the world's ten largest carbonatite-hosted niobium deposits (and in North America second only to the Iron Hill Project in Colorado, USA, in contained tonnes - the grade at Prairie Lake is however greater). The current metallurgical work establishes the project as a substantial, recoverable, phosphorus inventory. The suite of minerals of potentially economic significance also includes tantalum (Ta), uranium (U) and REEs (including lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), samarium (Sm), neodymium (Nd) and yttrium (Y)). The ETMI was undertaken by Eugene Puritch, P.Eng. and Antoine Yassa, P.Geo of P&E Mining Consultants Inc. of Brampton, Ontario.

All exploration work at Prairie Lake is supervised by Laura Giroux, P.Geo, Senior Geologist, who acts as Nuinsco's Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Ms. Giroux has reviewed and approved the technical contents of this news release. The potential quantity and grade of the ETMI is conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource. It is uncertain if further exploration will result in the discovery of a mineral resource............

Victory Nickel Finalizes Significant Agreement to Advance Frac Sand Production

Frac sand sales from Victory Silica's Alberta plant expected to begin shortly

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 7, 2014) - Victory Nickel Inc. ("Victory Nickel" or the "Company") (TSX:NI) today announced that it has finalized its supply contract for washed concentrated sand to be delivered for finish processing at its new Seven Persons frac sand plant (the "7P Plant") near Medicine Hat, Alberta. The completion of this agreement ensures the availability of the highest quality Jordan formation sand from Wisconsin and also provides Victory Nickel with the opportunity to participate in a joint venture on several properties in Wisconsin and Minnesota guaranteeing it a long-term supply of sand.

"The redesigned 7P Plant will enable Victory Nickel, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Victory Silica Ltd. ("VSL"), to produce and supply the highest quality import frac sand to the northern markets at all times, including those where imported frac sand becomes unavailable due to high demand in the U.S. Construction of the 7P Plant is nearing completion and frac sand sales are expected to begin shortly," said Ken Murdock, VSL's CEO.

      About Frac Sand

Frac sand is a proppant used in the oil and gas business as a part of the hydraulic fracturing process - a means of increasing flow to the wellhead. Frac sand must have particular characteristics including achieving certain levels of crush resistance, sphericity and roundness, and it is therefore a relatively rare commodity. Vast quantities of frac sand are consumed, and more is needed all the time, as shale gas plays in Canada and the US rise to prominence............

      Mr. Paul Jones reports

NUINSCO ANNOUNCES THAT PROCESSING OF PRAIRIE LAKE BULK SAMPLE HAS BEGUN

Nuinsco Resources Ltd. has commenced initial processing of a 30-tonne sample of carbonatite rock extracted from its Prairie Lake phosphorus-rare metals-niobium project in Northwestern Ontario.

Nuinsco shipped the 30-tonne sample late last year (see news release dated Nov. 7, 2013), for processing by a leading United States-based mineral technology company that has developed a proprietary method to cost-effectively recover certain high-value minerals, including the suite of rare earth elements (REEs) present in Prairie Lake mineralization.

Now that processing has started, the next step is for the mineral technology company, which Nuinsco is working with under the terms of a non-disclosure agreement, to provide an initial report on extraction rates and cost analysis for REEs. Scheduled completion is in the first quarter of 2014. Secondary product analysis, recovery rates and cost estimates are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2014. Samples from the processed rock have been sent to a third party lab for independent verification of mineral/elemental content.

"Although this study has been designed to evaluate the broad number of elements that might potentially be economically extracted, the focus is on the REEs identified at Prairie Lake, as these can be difficult to liberate using conventional processing," said Paul Jones, chief executive officer.........
