SOLSONICA (EEMS GROUP): agreement with Thread: TerniEnergia - italienischer PV-downstream Player to supply photovoltaic modules for a total capacity of 30 megawatts in 2011.

Estimated agreement value: approximately 40 million euro
EEMS Group, leading international operator in the semiconductor industry, through its subsidiary Solsonica Spa, a leading Italian manufacturer of photovoltaic cells, modules and solutions, has signed an agreement with TerniEnergia Spa to supply photovoltaic modules in 2011 with a total capacity of approximately 30 megawatts.

The value of the agreement is estimated at around 40 million euro.

The signing of the agreement is an important step in Solsonica's growth strategy to establish itself as one of the most authoritative player in the national and international solar energy market.
Over the past three years, Solsonica has tripled its sales, which totaled more than 60 MW in 2010, with over 100 million euro in revenues, and doubled its manufacturing capacity, which is expected to reach 140 MW already in early 2011,in the production of photovoltaic modules. .

"Being recognized as a trusted supplier by TerniEnergia Spa, a leading national operator" says Paolo Mutti, CEO of Solsonica, "gives us further confirmation that the path followed, improving products' innovation and reliability is the right way to continue to acquire tangible reward from the market. "
Mutti continues, “The strategic partnership with TerniEnergia Spa makes us proud, proving that the combination of high quality and expertise can create, also in our country, successful synergies able to compete on equal terms with international giants."

He concludes, " The goals for 2011 will be even more challenging for us, not only in terms of growth in production and sales. We are also working intensively on product development and following new approaches to specific market segments, with the aim of offering solutions that are increasingly targeted and tailored to client different needs’ ."

      EEMS GROUP:

Solsonica S.p.A. signs a conditional agreement with workers’
representatives on the details of reduced work under the cassa integrazione guadagni
ordinaria lay-off scheme that will involve up to 216 employees from 20 August for a total
      of 13 weeks.

Although regretting the effect of this decision, considered essential for dealing with the
present market situation, Solsonica intends to maintain its leadership position by
continuing its cost rationalisation, internationalisation and offer diversification policies.

EEMS Italia S.p.A. announces that its subsidiary Solsonica S.p.A. - the largest manufacturer in
Italy of photovoltaic cells, modules and solutions - last night signed a conditional agreement with
the trade unions at the Unindustria offices in Rieti under which up to 216 employees will be
involved in the cassa integrazione guadagni ordinaria lay-off scheme for a total of 13 weeks
from 20 August with a reduction or suspension of working hours.

Company and union representatives agreed details of these lay-offs for the first four weeks so
that no employee will be fully laid off during this period, ensuring that rotation is carried out in
the fairest way possible and that no employee is off work for more than 50% of workable hours,
leaving open the possibility of reviewing and as necessary revising details of the lay-offs in the
      weeks that follow.

This decision has become necessary for two reasons:
      - to deal with the current difficulties, common to all of the world’s photovoltaic module
manufacturers, which have been caused among other things by the dumping policies
practised by Chinese producers, which have led to a drastic fall in prices that exceed
50% and are such that the high production volumes achieved by Solsonica are unable
      to correspond to an equivalent level of turnover and margins;
      - to face up to the period of uncertainty being experienced by the Italian photovoltaic
market, which due to constant changes in the legislative framework has led to deadlock
and a fall in the market: the Fifth Energy Account will become effective at the end of
August and this contains a ceiling on installations, an increase in authorisation and
bureaucratic restrictions and a drastic reduction in tariff incentives.

Although regretting the effect of this decision, the company notes the inevitability of the
measures which are essential for dealing with the present market situation, but nevertheless
believes that Solsonica has the distinctive requisites for continuing to operate successfully in the
      photovoltaic sector by
