JOURDAN RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:JOR) ("JOURDAN" or the "Company") has completed the diamond drilling campaign on the Company's Lamothe Lithium-Rubidium Showing (the "Lamothe Showing") from the 113 claims / 60 km2 Pivert-Stairs Rare Metals Project (the "Project") in the James Bay Mining District northern Quebec.

A total of 20 holes were drilled on the Pivert East #2 Claim Block (the "Claim Block") for 3,053 meters and tested:

1. a 300 meters long segment of the Lamothe Showing with 10 drill holes in total for 1,048 meters (PIV-11-02, 03, and 13 to 20) averaging approximately 50 meters apart;

2. a 900 meters wide swath across the Claim Block with 10 holes totalling 2,005 meters covering the immediate extension of Critical Elements Corporation's ("CEC"; formerly First Gold Exploration) Pivert Showing (surface grab sample yielded up to 4.6% Li2O, 390 g/t Rubidium, 1.4 g/t Tantalum, 106.5 g/t Gallium and 90 g/t Beryllium) located 900 m to the northwest; Pivert East (surface channel sample gave 2.08% Li2O, 1,860 g/t Rubidium, 159 g/t Tantalum, 90 g/t Gallium and 254 g/t Beryllium over 1 meter) some 230 meters to the northwest; Pivert South (surface channel sample yielded 0.87% Li2O, 2,229 g/t Rubidium, 169 g/t Tantalum, 80 g/t Gallium and 431 g/t Beryllium over 28 meters) located 350 meters to the northwest; and Helico South (surface channel sample yielded 0.44% Li2O, 3,565 g/t Rubidium, 196 g/t Tantalum, 187 g/t Gallium and 505 g/t Beryllium over 116 meters) some 500 meters to the northwest (www.cecorp.ca).

Highlights of the drilling included:


1. More than 300 spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes were intersected in the 20 drill holes, ranging from 10 cm to 3 meters in core length (averaging 0.7 meters), and have confirmed the eastern extensions of a number of historic and current showings within and outside the claim Block, including JOURDAN's Lamothe Showing;

2. A total of 764 samples were taken from the entire suite of pegmatite dykes with assays still pending;

3. The Lamothe Showing is located within a transition corridor between a syenite-pyroxenite to the north and a mix unit of granitic gneisses, granites and amphibolites to the south;

4. The syenite-pyroxenite forms a sub-circular 24 by 20 kilometers magnetic anomaly consisting of alternating sub-circular and narrow magnetic high and low bands or "onion skins";

5. The Lamothe Showing extend in a northwest-southeast direction and at depth for the full 300 meters surface length over a 50 meters surface width, to a drilled depth of 50 meters, and remains open in all directions to the north and east;

6. Spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes drilled at the occurrence extend for a combined linear length of 6 to 10 meters in a 30 meters (core) length shallow north-dipping zone, likely representing the true width of the Lamothe Showing;

7. The estimated spodumene content of the pegmatites of the Lamothe Showing ranges from 3 to 10%.

The Lamothe Lithium-Rubidium Showing

Several northwest-southeast trending surface occurrences of spodumene-bearing granitic intrusives or pegmatites were uncovered at the Lamothe Showing within an outcrop area of 300 meters by 200 meters. The main spodumene-bearing intrusive is at least 10 meters wide at surface and has been uncovered over a 25 meters length. The other intrusives run parallel and they all tend to be sub-horizontal. There is significant spodumene-bearing angular boulder field associated with the discovery trending further to the south possibly indicating additional spodumene-bearing intrusives in this direction. The average grade of the 19 grab samples from the Lamothe Showing was 1.06% Li2O, 1,441 g/t Rubidium, 75 g/t Tantalum and 72 g/t Gallium. In addition, the geophysical survey has helped define the 12+ km long Pivert-Stairs (Rare Metals) Corridor which hosts most of the Lithium-bearing intrusives on the Property, including the east-northwest trending Lamothe Showing.

The Pivert-Stairs Rare Metals Project

The Project consists of the Pivert East #2 Claim Block (33 claims; 1,750 hectares for 17.0 km2); the Lac Pivert West Claim Block (2 claims; 106 hectares for 1.1 km2); the Stairs Claim Block (43 claims; 2,282 hectares for 22.8 km2); and the Pivert East #1 Claim Block (36 claims; 1,874 hectares for 18.7 km2), immediately contiguous to and northeast of the Pivert East #2 Claim Block. The Project is easily accessible via an extensive road and trail network. The Property sits less than 5 km from the Eastmain-1 Hydroelectric facility where substantial infrastructure exists. There is an access road to within 500 m of the Lac Pivert East #1 and #2 and Lac Pivert West Claim Blocks. A north-south hydro line straddles the Lac Pivert West Claim Block.

Earlier work by the Ministère des ressources naturelles et de la faune Québec (Boisvert, 1989) describes the Property area as containing irregular but generally continuous lenses of pegmatites within the host biotite schists. Individual pegmatites can attain up to 60 meters in width and more than 100 meters in length, collectively forming part of a much larger bodies having kilometric lengths and widths up to 300 meters. Additional work uncovered a number of Lithium showings in the region with a similar metallogenic context to Lithium One's Cyr Lithium Property and First Gold's Pivert/Rose Rare Metals Property, where irregular but generally continuous spodumene (a lithium bearing aluminum silicate) bearing pegmatites occur.

Quality assurance / Quality Control ("QA/QC")

The core from diamond drill holes was transported by snowmobile from the drill sites to the JOURDAN core logging facility on-site at the Pivert East #2 Claim Block. There, geologists and technicians from PJLEXPL Inc., a full-service exploration contractor from Laval (Quebec) under the supervision of Jean Lafleur, M.Sc., P. Geo., the Pivert Project Manager, logged, sample tagged and half-split the core in 0.25 meter to 1 meter intervals using a hydraulic splitter. The individual sampled intervals of half-split core are then inserted in tagged plastic bag, sealed and inserted in large nylon bags readied for shipment to the ALS Laboratory Group facility in Val-d'Or (Quebec). Blanks and duplicates were inserted in the sample stream on-site at every 20 core samples.

Once at the assay laboratory, samples are inventoried using the bar code tracking system, dried, finely crushed to 70% at <2 mm, pulverized split of to 85% at <75 μm, and riffle split a 250 gram fraction for the various assays using the Acid Digestion Lithium Mineral Analysis (Li-OG63) for Li; Major Element Analysis Package (ME-ICP06) for SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O, Cr2O3, TiO2, MnO, P2O5, SrO and BaO; 38 Element Fusion (ME-MS81) for Ag, Ba, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Cu, Dy, Er, Eu, Ga, Gd, Hf, Ho, La, Lu, Mo, Nb, Nd, Ni, Pb, Pr, Rb, Sm, Sn, Sr, Ta, Tb, Th, Tl, Tm, U, V, W, Y, Yb, Zn and Zr; OA-GRA05 for Loss on Ignition ("LOI") at 1000°C; and TOT-ICP06 for % Total Calculation.

JOURDAN Starts 3,000 Metres Drill Program on Barraute Lithium Project Adjacent to Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project
April 28, 2011 - 06:35:32 AM MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 28, 2011) - JOURDAN RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:JOR) ("JOURDAN" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the start of a 3,000 metres diamond drilling program on the Company's wholly owned Barraute Lithium Project (the "Project"), more specifically the Vallee Property, that sits contiguous to the east and south to Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project (www.canadalithium.com). The key at the Vallee Property will be to identify the same lithium bearing pegmatites along the 1.8 km strike of the property as those found on the adjacent and contiguous Quebec Lithium Project in order to potentially define compliant Mineral Resources in the near term.

The Barraute Lithium Project consists of three properties, Vallee, Lacorne and Baillarge, JOURDAN believes there is a significant potential to host High Technology Metals ("HTM's") such as Lithium (usually described as Lithium Oxide or Li2O), Beryllium (Be), Tantalum (Ta) and the suite of Rare Earth Elements (or "REE's"), Cesium (Cs), Molybdenum (Mo) and Bismuth (Bi). An additional 2,000 metres is being planned for the Lacorne and Baillarge and/or Vallee properties based on favourable results.

The Properties are located in the heart of the southern portion of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Quebec, some 100 km northeast of the mining towns of Rouyn-Noranda, 45 km north of Val-d'Or, 50 km northeast of Malartic home to Osisko Mining's Canadian-Malartic Deposit, 30 km southeast of Amos. Each of the Properties already hosts significant lithium mineralization as well as other HTM's along the northern and central borders of the Preissac-Lacorne Batholith (the "Batholith").

The High Technology Metals from the Vallee, Lacorne and Baillarge Lithium Properties area

A total of 32 showings, described by the Ministere des ressources naturelles et de la faune Quebec (ET-91-09; Boily, 1992) as HTM's are located within a 50 km radius in the Batholith that also hosts the Properties. These include the past producing mines of:



-- Quebec Lithium (operated as an underground mine and produced 907,200
tonnes grading 1.40 % Li2O from 1955 to 1965; Canadian Mines Handbook
1983-1984) - currently being explored and developed by Canada Lithium
Corporation and is contiguous to the west with JOURDAN's Vallee
Property.

-- Preissac Moly (operated as an underground mine and produced 2,235,880
tonnes grading 0.19% Mo and 0.03% Bi from 1943 to 1944 and 1962 to 1971;
MRNFQ Report DPV 619.

-- Cadillac Moly (operated as an underground mine and produced 1,761,000
tonnes grading 0.83% Mo, 0.04% Bi and 0.45 g/t Ag from 1965 to 1970;
MRNFQ Report DV-85-08).

-- Lacorne Moly (operated as an underground mine and produced 3,828,844
tonnes grading 0.33% Mo and 0.04% Bi from 1954 to 1972; MRNFQ Report GM
28882) - currently being explored by Romios Gold Resources and is
located 3 km due south of the JOURDAN's Baillarge Lithium Property.



The HTM's are found in spodumene-rich pegmatites. Spodumene (a lithium aluminum silicate) hosts the bulk of the lithium, accompanied by lepidolite (a potassium lithium aluminum silicate). The main indicator minerals for spodumene and lepidolite are white feldspar, silvery muscovite and beryl (a beryllium aluminum silicate). The presence of lepidolite is an excellent indicator of higher than normal grades of HTM's, niobium (Nb) and fluorine (F).

Latulippe and Ingham (MRNFQ Report S-023, 1956) studied the lithium occurrences in the Preissac-Lacorne Batholith (the "Batholith") in the immediate vicinity of the three Properties. They concluded at the time there were several thousands of pegmatites in the area, ranging in widths from 30 cm to 50 m in length; one was identified for 2,500 m in length with many over 300 m in length. Several are semi-circular and pod shaped lenses, but generally they tend to be straight.

The pegmatites are emplaced in fractures and faults within the Batholith and the surrounding volcanic within a 1 km to 2 km band north of the Batholith. The contact between the Batholith and the volcanics plunge northwards at -40 degrees, with structural movements showing a south side moving up and to the west. The spodumene-rich pegmatites tend to occur along the northern boundary of the Batholith and the east-southeast trending Manneville Fault, part of the Porcupine-Destor Deformation Zone (the "PDDF"). The PDDZ is the host of the major gold deposits of the 75 million ounce Timmins-Matheson Gold district located further to the west in Ontario. All of the spodumene-rich pegmatites are parallel to the Manneville Fault which dips north at 40 degrees to 70 degrees. This part of the Batholith and volcanics has the highest incidence of spodumene-rich pegmatites, fractures, brecciation and ductile deformation.

Lithium mineralization on the Properties

The Vallee Lithium Property consists of 17 claims (703.8 hectares or 7.0 km2) in Lacorne and Fiedmont Townships (covering Ranges VII to IX, Lots 56 to 62 in Lacorne and Ranges VII to IX, Lots 1 and 3 in Fiedmont). The Lithium mineralization was discovered in 1956 and was termed Valley Lithium Showing (MRNFQ Showing 32C/05-0022), located along the Range line between Ranges VIII and IX. The spodumene-rich pegmatites intersect the Batholith. Historic drilling intersected up to return 2.97% Li2O over 4.88 m (DDH#12, as reported in MRNFQ MB 89-29). The Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project is situated in Lacorne Township, Range IX, Lots 49 to 61, and sits contiguous to the claim block.

The Baillarge Lithium Property consists of 12 claims (511.5 hectares or 5.1 km2) in Lacorne Township (covering Ranges II and III, Lots 5 to 11). The claim block hosts the Lac Baillarge East Lithium Showing uncovered in 1955 (MRNFQ Showing 32C/05-0035) located south of Baillarge Lake. Three separate mineralized pegmatites were historically identified, all crosscutting the Batholith and adjacent sediments. The pegmatites contain spodumene, beryl, molybdenite (a silvery molybdenum sulphide), columbite-tantalite (a niobium-tantalum iron-manganese oxide), cleavelandite (a sodium-calcium aluminum silicate) and holmquistite (a lithium magnesium aluminum silicate). Historic drilling intersected up to 2.48% Li2O over 2.30 m (as reported in MRNFQ MB 89-29).

The Romios Gold Resources (www.romiosgold.com) recently explored the former claims of Lacorne Molybdenum Mine, contiguous to the south-southwest of JOURDAN's Baillarge Lithium Property. The Lacorne Molybdenum Mine was operated intermittently by Molybdia Corporation Limited from 1951 to 1972 as an underground mine. The historical probable reserves calculated in 1974 were 1,310,000 tonnes grading 0.23 % MoS2 and 0.04 % Bi. The historical probable reserves are historical and deemed non-compliant to National Instrument ("NI") 43-101 and should not be relied upon. No qualified person has done sufficient work to classify the historical mineral reserves as current mineral resources and/or mineral reserves. The mineralization occurs in a swarm of quartz-pegmatite veins hosted by a large sill or stock of biotite granite. In the upper levels of the mine it is 426 metres wide, narrowing to about 350 metres at the -228 metres underground level (750 feet). Biotite schists bound the sill or stock to the north and south and also host sets of veins carrying molybdenum and bismuth. Drilling completed in 2008 intersected 145.6 m grading 0.070% MoS2, 0.0055% Bi, 0.398 g/t Silver and 0.031% Lithium (RQ-08-08) and 168.30 m grading 0.079% MoS2, 0.0064% Bi, 0.120 g/t Silver and 0.012% Lithium (RQ-08-15).

The Lacorne Lithium Property consists of 5 claims (245.1 hectares or 2.5 km2) in Lamotte Township (covering Ranges X, Lots 59 to 63). At least 8 spodumene-rich pegmatites were uncovered in three closely-spaced sectors, termed the Lacorne Lithium Showing (MRNFQ Showing 32D/08-0028). In the central sector the pale green disseminated, 0.5 to 30 cm long spodumene crystals are associated with metric wide grey quartz stockworks that run parallel to the pegmatites. The spodumene represents up to 40% of the vein material. The pegmatites also contain garnet (a magnesium-iron-manganese-calcium aluminum silicate), beryl, native bismuth and chalcopyrite (a copper sulphide).

Grades in historic drill holes by Lacorne Lithium Mines yielded up to 0.83% Li2O over 4.0 m (DDH-L3 of the southern sector); whereas continuous channel samples gave 0.90% Li2O over 2.7 m (sample of the northern sector); 1.19% Li2O over 9.0 m (northern sector channel sample); 1.29% Li2O over 13.5 m (southern sector channel sample) in a series of outcrops over a 160 m length. Some 20 drill holes and a few trenches were completed in the southeast sector. The average lithium grade of the pegmatite dykes is 0.38% Li2O for 6.0% spodumene content. Some 16 drill holes were completed in the southwest sector. The average grade is between 0.25% and 0.50% Li2O (MRNFQ GM 03924-A, GM03924-B).

(TSX VENTURE:JOR) ("JOURDAN" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the start of a minimum 3,000 metres diamond drilling campaign on the previously announced Lithium and Rubidium Discovery at the Lamothe Showing on the JOURDAN's wholly Pivert East #2 Claim Block from the 113 claims / 60 km(2) Pivert-Stairs Rare Metals Property (the "Property"), northern Quebec.

The drilling will initially consist of three (3) drill hole fences, 100 metres apart, across the Lamothe Showing. Infill and additional extension drilling will be completed on a need be basis once assay results have been received and synthesized with the geological-geophysical model.

All results of the surface grab sampling program and the airborne geophysical survey were received from the 2010 field exploration program on the Property. Four (4) new northwest-southeast trending spodumene-bearing granitic intrusives were uncovered at the Lamothe Showing within an outcrop surface of 300 metres by 200 metres. The main spodumene-bearing intrusive is at least 10 metres wide and has been uncovered over a 25 metres length. The other intrusives run parallel and they all tend to be sub-horizontal. Earlier work by the Ministere des ressources naturelles et de la faune Quebec (Boisvert, 1989) describes the Property area as containing irregular but generally continuous lenses of pegmatites within the host biotite schists. Individual pegmatites can attain up to 60 m in width and more than 100 m in length, collectively forming part of a much larger bodies having kilometric lengths and widths up to 300 m. Additional work uncovered a number of Lithium showings in the region with a similar metallogenic context to Lithium One's Cyr Lithium Property and First Gold's Pivert/Rose Rare Metals Property, where irregular but generally continuous spodumene (a lithium bearing aluminum silicate) bearing pegmatites occur.

Jourdan Resources Inc. has begun a minimum 3,000-metre diamond drilling campaign on the previously announced lithium and rubidium discovery at the Lamothe showing on Jourdan's wholly owned Pivert East No. 2 claim block from the 113-claims/60-square-kilometre Pivert-Stairs rare metals property, Northern Quebec.

The drilling will initially consist of three (3) drill hole fences, 100 metres apart, across the Lamothe Showing. Infill and additional extension drilling will be completed on a need be basis once assay results have been received and synthesized with the geological-geophysical model.

All results of the surface grab sampling program and the airborne geophysical survey were received from the 2010 field exploration program on the Property. Four (4) new northwest-southeast trending spodumene-bearing granitic intrusives were uncovered at the Lamothe Showing within an outcrop surface of 300 metres by 200 metres. The main spodumene-bearing intrusive is at least 10 metres wide and has been uncovered over a 25 metres length. The other intrusives run parallel and they all tend to be sub-horizontal. There is significant spodumene-bearing angular boulder field associated with the discovery trending further to the south possibly indicating additional spodumene-bearing intrusives in this direction. The average grade of the 19 grab samples from the Lamothe Showing was 1.06% Li2O, 72 g/t Gallium, 88 g/t Niobium, 1,441 g/t Rubidium and 75 g/t Tantalum. In addition, the geophysical survey has helped define the 12 km long Pivert-Stairs (Rare Metals) Corridor which hosts most of the Lithium-bearing intrusives on the Property, including the east-northwest trending Lamothe Showing.

Jourdan Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:JOR) ("JOURDAN" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the acquisition of three properties, the Vallee, Lacorne and Baillarge Lithium Properties (collectively the "Properties") in proximity to Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project (46.7 million tonnes grading 1.19% Li2O, www.canadalithium.com) in the Val-d'Or region of northern Quebec.

Based on the historical work on the Properties, JOURDAN believes there is a significant potential to host to High Technology Metals ("HTM's") that include Lithium (usually described as Lithium Oxide or Li2O), Beryllium (Be), Tantalum (Ta) and the suite of Rare Earth Elements (or "REE's"), Cesium (Cs), Molybdenum (Mo) and Bismuth (Bi).

The Properties were bought from arm's length party (the "Vendor") by issuing 1,750,000 common shares in total of JOURDAN to the Vendor and completing $450,000 in exploration and development work on the Properties over a 2 year period, divided as follows: 750,000 shares on signing the Final Agreement and receiving regulatory approvals; followed by 1,000,000 in additional shares with a work commitment of $200,000 prior to the First Anniversary date; then an additional work commitment of $250,000 prior to the Second Anniversary date. JOURDAN plans a significant exploration program on the Properties starting in February with a minimum 5,000 m of diamond drilling, starting on the drill ready Vallee Lithium Property.


The key here will be to identify the same lithium bearing pegmatites along the 1.8 km strike of the property as those found on the adjacent and contiguous Quebec Lithium Project in order to potentially define compliant Mineral Resources in the near term. JOURDAN is fully funded to complete the exploration program on the Properties having in excess of $1.5 million in liquidity following the Company's recent financing (refer to the JOURDAN news releases dated December 23 and 30, 2010).
