über eine Mitteilung von YUM! Brands drauf gestossen:

The business of Little Sheep was founded in Baotou, Inner Mongolia in August 1999. Little Sheep Group Limited(“the Company” or “Little Sheep”) focuses on operating Mongolian—style hot pot chain restaurants as well as developing, processing and sales of seasoning and meat products. Our signature menu is characterized by an aromatic soup base and Mongolian lamb specialties. The soup base is made from a special recipe that is so flavorful that there is no need for sauces, unlike the traditional way of hotpot. Substantially all of our lamb is produced from young lambs of approximately six months of age from two particular species of sheep reared in Inner Mongolia.

Currently, the Company owns and operates one seasoning production facility, two meat processing facilities and one logistics centre and has over 300 restaurants throughout China as well as in Japan, the United States and other overseas markets.

Since its establishment, the Company has placed high importance on quality control and established goodwill among our customers. It is evidenced by the numerous honorary awards received. In 2004, it was designed as a “National Famous Brands” by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce. It was awarded “Top 500 Most Valuable Chinese Brands” by the World Brand Laboratory consecutively in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2007, the Company was ranked “Number 1 Food Service Provider Brand of 2007 in the PRC” and one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Brands in the PRC”.

In 2007, the Company cooperated with well—known international investment companies, “3i Group plc” and “PraxCapital Fund I, LP”. With the strategic injection of US$25 million as well as the introduction of systematic operation philosophy and experienced senior management, the Company’s foundation has been further strengthened.

Looking forward, the Company will continue to seek development opportunities overseas, consolidate our domestic business, and drive the famous brand —“Little Sheep” to greater success, with the help of our staff and support from the community.

Little Sheep says no plan to dispose of controlling right

Oct. 26, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Chinese steam pot chain operator Little Sheep Group<0968>, currently has no plan to dispose of the controlling right to other firms, as its business growth remains healthy, Zhang Gang, chairman of the company, recently said, sources reported.

Zhang revealed that the company currently has no share disposal or fundraising plans, adding partnership with U.S. fast food giant Yum! Brands Inc belongs to normal shareholder relation. Yum! had assigned three non-executive directors in the company, but those directors did not involve in the management of Little Sheep, said Zhang.

He also said that the group's current development strategy still focuses on its main businesses, and it plans to build up high-end service network in certain major cities.

Established in August, 1999, Inner Mongolia-based Little Sheep currently owns 491 direct stores and franchised stores, and expects the number will total over 500 stores by the end of this year.
