TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/11 -- Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE: PTU) announced today that a preliminary winter drilling program has commenced at the company's Red Willow Project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. The program, managed by Rio Tinto under a recently announced option agreement, will initially focus on the Geneva Synform; a high priority target situated SW of the Osprey Zone.
"The geophysical data has provided evidence of large scale faulting including the north-east striking Geneva Fault that cuts three separate conductors." said Scott Frostad, Purepoint's Vice President, Exploration. "The Geneva Fault is a possible pathway for uranium-rich hydrothermal fluids and will be tested where cross-cutting structures may have formed traps of these fluids".
Since December, technical resources from Rio Tinto have been analyzing data from the Red Willow project and its surroundings in order to determine their planned approach to its exploration. Additional geophysics and drilling may be planned for the summer.
Highlights

Geneva Zone
The Geneva Zone is located near the southwest corner of the Red Willow property. An airborne electromagnetic survey (VTEM) delineated 3.8 kilometers of conductors that are within a distinct fold structure highlighted by the aeromagnetic results and on trend with the Mallen Lake uranium showing (5.9% U3O8 over 0.3m).
Three separate EM conductors have been interpreted from the VTEM survey results. The first is approximately 2 kilometers in length and is a moderate to strong, arcuate conductor believed to represent graphitic sediments. All the EM profiles indicate that it has a plate source dipping at a shallow angle inward and conforms to basement geology (i.e. magnetic and gradient resistivity). The second and third conductors are both approximately 900 metres in length and roughly parallel to each other. All three conductors appear to be cut by the Geneva Fault.
The results of a gravity survey has identified areas with gravity lows that coincide with low apparent resistivity chimneys (LARC Principal, R.Koch, PDAC Convention 2007) in the sandstone and may represent zones of hydrothermal alteration. The resistivity results from a gradient induced polarization (IP) survey and the pole-dipole array IP survey also appear to be reflecting basement geology with pelitic sediments as resistivity lows that are locally faulted.
Drilling is being conducted by Aggressive Drilling Ltd. of Prince Albert, SK.

Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. has completed its summer analysis and submission of plans for the next stage of exploration at its Hook Lake project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca basin, where last winter's program encountered high-grade mineralization at the Spitfire zone -- 12.9 per cent triuranium octoxide over 0.4 metre within 2.23 per cent triuranium octoxide over 2.8 metres.

The Hook Lake joint venture partners have approved their exploration plans and budget for the 2016 year. The Hook Lake JV project is owned jointly by Cameco Corp. (39.5 per cent), Areva Resources Canada Inc. (39.5 per cent) and Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. (21 per cent).
Current exploration is targeting the Patterson Lake corridor, the same conductive trend which not only hosts Fission's Triple R deposit, but as well the Arrow discovery by NexGen Energy Ltd. and the company's own Spitfire discovery.

NexGen energys Uranader soll wohl durchs Purepoint Gebiet laufen. Gerüchte deuten darauf hin das die von Nexgen gefundene Uranader durch das Grundstück von Purepoint Uranium geht. Nexgen ist 500 Mio schwer. 2 Möglichkeiten gibt es nun. Entweder Nexgen schluckt Purepoint oder Purepoint bohrt die Ader an. Kursanstieg in den letzten Tagen 50%. Hier ist noch ne Menge Luft. Bei einer Übernahme sollen ca. 0,20cad drinne sein wird spekuliert im Stockhuse.
4,5 Mio Bohrprogramm das sieht gut aus, hier geht noch was demnächst so wie es aussieht.

ich will weder sagen dass Sie supertoll noch superschlecht sind.
lediglich -offensichtlich sind Sie da ja an "Was dran"-dass sich zeigen muss Wie gross Das Systemist Was Sie da angerissen haben.
und dafür wirds noch einige, einige Bohrungen brauchen.
die Spanne der Möglichkeiten ist denke ich sehr, sehr gross -in BEIDE Richtungen

Mit 16 Mill MK und 20% Anteilen ist Hook Lake schon mit weit über 100 mio cad bewertet. Das sehe ich schon als teuer an wenn man denkt das die Liegenschaft noch ganz am Anfang steht. Da gefällt mir appia mit der halben Bewertung und vor allem großteils als Alleineigentümer vieler Liegenschaften im Altabascin wesentlich besser.
