Overview
Founded in 2000, Empower Technologies (EPT.V) provides Linux-based embedded system technologies and solutions for the electronics industry, the intelligent appliance / smart digital electronics and real time video enhancement market.
Empower's proprietary digital Image Signal Correction technology (ISC) is cutting edge and has been tested and proven over the past two years. It has been deployed to select Empower Technologies customers and has proven its effectiveness.
Empower Technology recently commenced marketing and sales of its proprietary digital Image Signal Correction Technology. (See news release February 25, 2011)
The company licenses and sells their ISC technology targeting major lens, camera and image sensor manufacturers.
Other targets include the automotive industry, major defense contractors, surveillance imaging equipment manufacturers, government agencies, first responder, homeland security, and the military (i.e. their low voltage, small size and light weight are ideal for a drone airplane).
Empower's proprietary real time Image Signal Correction Technology is comprised of a fine-tuned ultra-fast single board computer (SBC), Empower's proprietary LEOs (Linux Embedded Operating System) and ”Best of Breed” image processing software.
The ISC software provides real-time de hazing; de blurring, de warping, de noising, color and contrast enhancement functions.
The technology is suitable for cameras deployed indoors or outdoors in harsh environments under any light conditions.
Empower's Image Signal Correction Technology reduces and cleans any visual barriers due to fog, smog, smoke, dust, rain, snow or heat waves.
