Firma Geely enthüllt in Moskau eine neue Unternehmenseinheit

Im Rahmen des MIAS Unternehmen Geely hat nichts Supernova gezeigt, aber die beiden Modelle in Russland zum ersten Mal kam, mit den beiden bald in den Verkauf gehen. So sehen es näher ist, zumal die Autos einen neuen Stil der Marke demonstrieren - sie das Logo retuschiert , die bald unbedingt auf allen Maschinen Geely angezeigt. Generaldirektor von Geely in Russland Igor Ovsyannikov stellte fest , dass die Re-Branding des Händlernetzes wird im zweiten Quartal 2017 abgeschlossen sein.

Crossover NL3 wurde nicht nur der erste polnoprivodniki von Geely, sondern auch das erste Modell der Marke, ausgestattet mit einem Multimedia-System mit Unterstützung für Apple Carplay.


Limousine Emgrand GT - das erste Modell der Marke von einem Team des ehemaligen Volvo-Chefdesigner Peter Horbury Leitung entwickelt und verkörpert eine neue Philosophie des Unternehmens.

Ein weiteres Modell, das bald auf den russischen Händlern erscheinen wird - Flaggschiff - Limousine Emgrand GT (in China ist bekannt unter dem Namen GC9 ). Sein Debüt in dieser chetyrёhdverka gefeiert mehr im Dezember 2014. Die Bewegung des Autos ist "turbochetvёrkoy" 1.8 (163 PS). In unserem Land werden Belarusian Montagemaschinen verkauft, Händler, können sie bereits im Dezember erscheinen.

Geely Has Invested 200 Million RMB yuan on Development of the North-western China Market

Geely Auto, one of leading automakers in China, has developed another nine dealers in the north-western China since August 22, 2016.
The company has invested about 200 million RMB yuan on development of new 4S stores. There have been 72 4S stores in the north-western China, which has been a major market for Geely. Sales in this market have been 30,000 units with a yearly rise of 22% from January to July this year, taking up a great slice of market shares.
Overall sale of Geely were 328,859 units, increasing by 17% year on year, in the first seven months in 2016. So far, dealers of Geely have been 690 of which 90% have been in the first-tier city.
The company aims at production and sales of two million units by the end of 2020, to become one of famous automakers globally, according to An Conghui, CEO of Geely. Improvement in building channels may booster development of sales Geely.

Der Bericht ist vom April aber hört sich interessant an. Qianjinang Motorcycle hat 2005 die italenische Motorradmarke Benelli gekauft. Anscheinend hat Geely den den Hersteller gekauft. Auf jedenfall spannend, hoffentlich haben wir auch was davon unten habe ich einen Link von der Hompage angefügt.

Volvo's China Billionaire Owner Plans To Buy Stake In Motorcycle Maker


Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, China billionaire Li Shufu’s main holding company, has applied to buy 29.8% of Shenzhen-listed motorcycle maker Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle, Qianjiang said on Wednesday.

Zhejiang Geely Holding, which in 2010 bought Volvo from Ford for $1.8 billion, will purchase the stake from Qianjiang’s state-owned parent. Qianjiang said last month its parent company would sell the shares at 8.01 yuan each, or the equivalent of $166 million. It didn’t at that time say who the buyer would be.

Li, who also controls Hong Kong-listed automaker Geely Automobile, ranked No. 1,067 on the Forbes real-time billionaires list today with an estimated fortune worth $1.7 billion.

China, the world’s No. 2 economy, has emerged in recent years as the world’s largest motor vehicle market.

Geely Auto opens nine new dealerships in a single day

Geely Auto (Geely) today opened 9 new dealerships across western and central China in what is an aggressive push by Geely in terms of service and investment across growth keyregions.
The nine new dealerships accounts for a total of nearly 200 million RMB of investment for the new stores which are primarily flagship ‘A-Level’ stores with 4 new stores opening in Xinjiang Autonomous Region, 2 in Shanxi Province, and three stores in Qinghai, Gansu,and Ningxia province.
Geely has established 72 dealers to cover the western parts of China, with 13 new additions over the course of 2016. With greater investment in China’s western regions over the coming years Geely will move to expand its influence in the region with improved Geely network coverage.
In the first seven months of 2016, Geely’s sales in western regions rose to 30,000 units, an increase of 22%, making Geely the strongest Chinese brand in the region thanks to strong support for the New Emgrand, New Vision and Jin Gang vehicle range.
According to JD Power’s 2016 Dealership Satisfaction Survey, Geely dealerships reached 100% satisfaction with the brand. At the same time, 95% of Geely’s dealerships are profitable with over105 dealers joining the brand in the first half of the year with over 20 of the new dealerships having experience in running and operating international brand dealerships within China and 17 of the new dealerships already having worked with other Chinese brands.
Geely’s sales in the first half of 2016 reached over 328,000 vehicles, a year on year increase of 17%, higher than the industry average. Geely’s top performing products include the New Emgrand, New Vision, New Jin Gang and the Bo Yue SUV. In July Bo Yue SUV sales jumped through 10,000 units for the first with Geely yet to fill a substantial orderbook for this popular model. Emgrand GS sales continue to be strong with over 6700 units being delivered with strong demand for popular model. Geely has moved to adjust its sales goal for the 2016 calender year from 600,000 units to 660,000 units based on the strong sales performance of its 3.0 Generation vehicles.

Echt irre wie rasant das alles geht! Interessanterweise soll in dem von ellexi erwähnter Rennstrecke ausschließlich mit selbstfahrenden Autos gefahren werden dürfen. Jetzt ist das wohl interessant für die Menschen, später dann evtl. umgekehrt. Spannend ist es allemal...

DRB-Hicom may sell up to 100% of Proton

DRB-HICOM Bhd is expecting as many as seven bids for Proton Holdings Bhd by the middle of this month and may even sell as much as 100% of the national car manufacturer to foreign buyers.

While the move may spark a political backlash, hiving off loss-making Proton will be positive for DRB-Hicom’s bottom line and balance sheet.

According to industry sources, DRB-Hicom has advised key stakeholders of the possibility that Proton will be wholly disposed of. The whole process is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.

“They (DRB-Hicom) have made it clear that they are willing to sell up to 100% of Proton. Of course, how much they sell will depend on the proposals and prices they receive. The important thing is that the door is now open,” explains a source.

Note that any decision will have to be presented to the special task force led by Datuk Seri Idris Jala, the CEO of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit, which is monitoring Proton’s turnaround.

However, the engagement with stakeholders sends a strong message that Proton’s disposal is firmly on course. It is understood that most of the bids have already been received with one or two more due before the mid-August deadline.

As previously reported by The Edge, French car manufacturers Groupe PSA and Renault SA have been in talks with Proton since the beginning of the year. Groupe PSA manufactures the Peugeot and Citroen while Renault is part of the Renault Nissan Alliance.

Other automakers that are said to be in the running are Germany’s Volkswagen and America’s General Motors. Naturally, Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp is another top contender, given the memorandum of understanding that the two had signed last year for long-term cooperation.

At least one Chinese automaker, believed to be Geely, is said to have submitted a bid as well. Geely owns the Swedish marque Volvo.

However, it is important to note that a DRB-Hicom sale does not necessarily mean that Proton will be controlled by foreigners. Recall that the government has the option to take up a 79.28% stake in Proton if it opts to convert its redeemable convertible cumulative preference shares (RCCPS) that were issued as part of a RM1.25 billion loan.

Considering the fact that Proton will need additional equity injection from the acquirer, there are still many moving parts in the deal. Hence, the exact post-disposal structure or who will control Proton is still highly speculative at this stage.

From DRB-Hicom’s perspective, however, the disposal is good news. Proton’s sales have continued to decline this year and it is estimated to have sold fewer than 4,000 units in July. Even the new Proton Perdana, which is basically a rebadged Honda Accord, only managed to secure about 130 sales.

Proton’s results for FY2016 ended March 31 have not been released yet but based on DRB-Hicom’s financials, the automaker is estimated to have booked a loss before tax of more than RM1.4 billion. Note that Proton’s loss before tax in FY2015 was RM646.3 million.

While a chunk of the losses this year — about RM500 million — has been attributed to one-off losses, it is still a heavy toll on DRB-Hicom.

As a result, the conglomerate controlled by Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary posted a loss before tax of RM821.3 million in FY2016 ended March 31. In FY2015, DRB-Hicom posted a profit before tax of RM501.8 million. The bulk of the losses has been pinned on Proton.

Stripping out Proton’s RM1.4 billion loss before tax, DRB-Hicom should have made a PBT of about RM580 million or 30 sen a share. As at last Friday, DRB-Hicom’s share price had surged nearly 22% in one week to close at RM1.11. On this basis, the company is potentially valued at only 3.7 times earnings, assuming that non-Proton earnings remain stable.

Keep in mind that a substantial portion of DRB-Hicom’s earnings comes from the relatively stable defence and aviation segment that contributes about RM2.4 billion to revenue each year.

On top of that, Honda, which DRB-Hicom assembles and distributes, has emerged as the top foreign marque in terms of sales with a market share of about 13.5% this year.

Furthermore, this ignores possible proceeds from the disposal of Proton and the subsequent deleveraging of DRB-Hicom’s balance sheet. However, it will take another seven to eight months for the whole exercise to be completed, barring any hiccups.

In that time, there could be other developments at DRB-Hicom. It would not be uncharacteristic of Syed Mokhtar to inject another asset into DRB-Hicom following the disposal of Proton.

On the other side of the coin, Proton’s potential suitors have lots of potential to realise from the national automaker.

“Foreign marques aren’t interested in the Malaysian passenger car market alone. It is small for them. They are more interested in using Tanjung Malim as a manufacturing hub to distribute within Southeast Asia,” explains an industry veteran.

This is why automakers with hubs in Thailand, for example, have not shown as much interest.

“They (the buyer) will simply shut down the Shah Alam plant, sell off the land and move everything to Tanjung Malim. With a little bit of investment, they can transform it into a regional hub,” he explains.

Another sweetener for the acquirer would be the ability to include the UK-based sports car Lotus in its portfolio.

As for Proton, with the right technological and financial support, along with disciplined restructuring, a new shareholder could very well lead it to its eventual turnaround.
