Wenn man genau hinsieht, bemerkt man die Verwandschaft des S7 mit dem Volvo V40/ Ford Focus / Mazda 3 , die alle noch auf der damals von FORD entwickelten Plattform basieren.

Den Innenraum finde ich recht schick, sieht aus wie eine Mischung aus Volvo und Hyundai.

Hallo joap,

die hohe Zahl genehmigter, noch ausstehender Aktien ist hier schon häufig angesprochen, bzw. darüber geklagt worden.
Ich denke jedoch, dass Mr. Li davon gesonnen Gebrauch macht - eine Form der Gratifikation und Bindung an das Unternehmen!
Deshalb bleibe ich bei meinem Wunsch nach einem GC9 ...

Hallo Fire72,
warum Jubelstürme.
Es ist schon lange her das ich zur Schule ging und Erdkundeunterricht hatte.
Aber ist England nicht auch ein "westliches Land". Dort fährt der TX4
Und gehört der ZHIDOU zu unserem Geely oder verhält es sich wie bei Kandi.
Ausserdem wollte Geely ja schon des öfteren dieses oder jenes. Weder dieser noch jenes ist passiert.
Bevor nicht ein richtiger Geely durch Berlin, London, oder eine andere "westliche" Hauptstadt fährt halte ich mich zurück mit Jubelstürmen.
Ist aber sicherlich, wenn auch ein kleiner, ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.

@jannomann mir wäre es lieber wenn Mr. Li die nächste Dividendenzahlung ausläst und dafür 1 - 2 Milliarden Aktien zurückkauft bzw. die restlichen 3,8 Millarden vernichtet.Das würde sicherlich einen Kursschub geben mit dem Du/wir Dir/uns selbst einen kaufen könntest.

Ein GC 9 müsste es nicht gleich sein ....

Hier in diesem Bericht über die "Elektrifizierung" von Volvo, wird eine interessante Rechnung, wie ich finde, über den amerikanischen Kraftstoffverbrauch gemacht bzw. die durchschnittlichen Wegstrecken von Familien angegeben...demnach muss man eigentlich keine hunderte Kilometer reichende Elektromobile haben....die Hybridfahrzeuge scheinen da eine gute Wahl zu sein ....

While Audi might be kicking and screaming while they drag themselves into the electric car market there is another company that finally woke up and is running to join the pack. VW is still reeling and treading through the quagmire that they created with dieselgate.

Meanwhile as they languish in their own foolishness and lack of foresight Volvo is off and running and appears to be determined to catch up. While they have a long way to go they are at least now in the race.


Volvo recently announced that they plan on making a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) of every model they sell by 2020. It also expects all of it's PHEVs to account for 10% of the company’s overall sales by that same date. Volvo isn't the first company to make this leap to electrification, but it is obviously reacting to the changing worldwide marketplace.

In the wake of dieselgate, Europe is doing some serious self-reflection and evaluation of their mistaken choice to rely on diesel as a chosen transportation fuel. At least VWs Audi group was already walking down the path of Electrification so they aren’t as behind as they could have been.
Now stepping onto the world stage with a bold prediction is Volvo. According to an article on Wired.com, Volvo’ President and CEO stated, “We believe that the time has come for electrified cars to cease being a niche technology and enter the mainstream,” Håkan Samuelsson, Volvo’s president and CEO.

With this commitment from the top and an infusion of cash from a Chinese automaker Geely to the tune of $11 Billion they should be able to make this transition happen. Geely bought Volvo in 2010.

The Volvo S90 and S60 sedans will both get the first upgrade to become hybrids with pure EV range of 27 miles from an 87 HP Electric Motor. The PHEV versions will also have 400 HP turbocharged 2.0-liter engines. The XC90 SUV will also be offered in a Plug-In Hybrid and will arrive in the US this fall.

Based on my Plug-In Hybrid travels in my Ford C-max Energi, I can attest to the ability to drive almost half of your daily vehicle miles traveled with only a 20 miles EV range battery. By Volvo making these offerings with 27 miles of electric range, on average, most American Family’s that drive 40 miles a day will easily see more than half their daily miles be electric.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, the USA consumed 136.78 Billion gallons of gasoline daily in 2014 (last full year numbers available). As more and more car companies move toward PHEVs and smaller EV battery packs of 30 miles or less will significantly dent the amount of gasoline consumed each day.

For example, if we conservatively estimate the PHEV market adoption rate could approach 25% of the new car market (not so far fetched since Norway is already at 22% of new car sales) and half of the vehicle miles traveled are electric we can see how this impacts our national gasoline consumption.

By taking a ¼ of the daily gas consumption market and reducing it by 50% means the potential number of gallons of gasoline not burned would be 17 Billion gallons a day. So how much would that be in 1 year? We could lower the USAs consumption by over 6.2 Trillion gallons of gasoline! At $2 a gallon that savings equates to $12.4 Trillion dollars. Can you imagine the impact this would have on the USA economy if we weren’t’ just burning the money?

The impact is clear. Are you ready? More PHEV and EV choices are being made available so make your next car a PHEV or EV."

Begeisterungsstürme werden entstehen, wenn Herr Li Shufu jedem von uns treuen Geelianern einen GC9 vor die Tür stellt und wir ihm dafür für einige Zeit die Dividendenzahlungen erlassen...

The capacity target was in an advance copy of a speech that Vice-Secretary Shi Jianhua of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) is due to make on Friday, predicting what targets the Communist Party will set out for the auto industry when it meets later this month to decide the country's economic blueprint for 2016 to 2020.

The speech does not specify whether the 30 million refers to passenger cars or the overall auto market, but consultancy IHS estimates China will produce 23.5 million passenger and light commercial vehicles this year and already has capacity to make 36 million annually.

Shi predicts that the country's next five-year plan will aim for an annual production capacity of 2 million units for plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles by 2020, and to have already produced 5 million vehicles, the speech says.

It also aims to lift the market share of Chinese brand vehicles to more than 60 percent, from roughly 41 percent of the passenger car market so far this year, to create five globally competitive automakers.

China's government will also target to boost auto exports to 3 million compared to this year's goal of 860,000."

in Brasilien ist der Absatz von dem EC7 wohl recht gering, aber am steigen ...

"....Im anderen Ende der Tabelle werden die Pkw-Modelle mit weniger Einheiten verkauft, dort liegt der Schwerpunkt auf dem Impreza, die einen Umsatzsprung von 5 Einheiten in 2015 bis 33 im letzten Monat hatten. Wachstum als hoch: 560%. Ein weiteres Modell hatte auch deutliche Zuwächse bei Umsatz: Der Geely EC7, registriert eine positive Abweichung von 100% seiner Einheiten verkauft. Selbst mit so viel Variation, beide Modelle immer noch die 13. und 14. Platz beklagen in der Tabelle jeweils weil sie noch sehr wenige Einheiten in Bezug auf die Spitze der Rangliste Insassen verkauft haben....."

kann leider kein Italienisch und das Übersetzungsprogramm ist mal wieder der "Hammer" ...liest sich so, als wenn in Florenz ein Carsharing mit Elektroautos stattfindet und Geely die Fahrzeuge stellt...auf dem Bild sieht es auch nach dem "ZHIDOU"(s. Bibliothek) aus.
