Ja, was soll man dazu sagen,
Nicht nur das in China tiefrot -11,9% auch der wiedererstarkte €uro bringt Geely in BRD unter Druck.
Wäre der €uro wie bei der Geely Bibliothek-Eröffnung am 30.03.2011 bei 1,41€uro zum Dollar, hätten wir in BRD einen Geelykurs von 0,24€uronenCent
Aber alles Schlechte hat ja auch ein Gutes.
Wenn man nicht verkaufen will/muß kann man günstig nachkaufen

Ich habe aber auch nichts auf der Ausstellerseite http://www.iaa.de/iaa-guides/aussteller/#/aussteller von Geely gelesen.
Wäre aber der Hammer.

ja, es ist der Wahnsinn in Tüten.....die "theoretischen" Gewinne sind leider fast alle zerschmolzen ....Mund abputzen und weiter ....

Kann es sein, dass Geely im September diesen Jahres auf der Frankfurter Autoshow mit seinem neuen SUV vorstellig wird??? Wenn ja, wäre es fast eine Überlegung, da mal vorbeizuschauen ....

China's Geely Steps In And Saves Miller Motorsports Park

Earlier this year we got word that Miller Motorsports Park was set to close up shop. The Utah racing facility operated by the Larry H. Miller group stated that it would not be renewing its lease. The Tooele County land had been turned into a motorsports facility ten years ago, and the county isn't ready to see that go away. That's why a team was working to find a buyer, and that buyer has arrived from China.

Mitime Investment & Development Group is going to be the new operators of Miller Motorsports Park. Mitime is owned by the Geely group, which owns China's largest automaker. Additionally, Geely also owns Volvo. This is a group that has a lot of money to spend, and that sounds like it's exactly what Mitime is going to do in Utah.

There will be the initial $20 million spent for the actual purchase. From there, Mitime is expected to spend another $40 million to further develop the facility. This apparently includes the creation of an oval track, dragstrip, rally-cross course, and a number of upgrades to the existing racing circuit. Mitime wants to add a hotel, more garages and possible manufacturing facilities as well.

It seems that Mitime is very interested in turning this Tooele County racing facility into a must-visit destination for any motorsport fan. We look forward to the coming changes, and to see how Mitime evolves the Miller Motorsports Park.

Geely NL-3 SUV teased

A new Geely SUV has been teased ahead of a debut in its homeland later this year. Reports indicate that the new SUV will be badged as the NL-3, and will be sold under Geely’s Emgrand sub-brand in China.

Externally, the NL-3 wears a more restrained design than last year’s GC9 sedan, although both share the company’s new concentric grille pattern.

When the Geely NL-3 is unveiled in full, it will be roughly one year on from the debut of the GC9, the first all-new Geely to be styled by a team led by Peter Horbury, formerly the design chief at Volvo and Ford‘s Premier Automotive Group.

Unlike the GC9, however, the so-called NL-3 will be the first model to benefit from Horbury’s oversight from start to finish.

Geely claims that its design team, under Horbury’s direction, now numbers around 300 people spread over four studios throughout the world: California, USA; Barcelona, Spain; Shanghai, China; and Gothenburg, Sweden.

The company has yet to officially give any drivetrain details about the new SUV or provide any previews of its interior. Sources have indicated that the NL-3 will be available with a 1.8-litre petrol engine in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises, as well as a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre petrol.

Spy shots we’ve seen show that the NL-3’s dashboard will feature a high-end look, which is once again inspired by Chinese stone bridges. Along with expanses of realistic-looking wood, the cabin will also feature a centre tunnel that does a fair impression of the Porsche Cayenne‘s, including its hooped handle bars.

Car Advice spotted a left-hand drive prototype of the NL-3 in Melbourne in late April. It’s not known at this stage whether the company has any plans to expand its offerings in Australia.

Geely also said it will invest between $6 million to $8 million immediately to the park for improvements. It also estimated that over the next 25 years it will add billions of dollars to the Tooele economy.
