      Upgrade International Corp. files application for Nasdaq Small Cap Market Listing

      SEATTLE, Apr 14, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Upgrade International Corp.
      (OTCBB: UPGD) is pleased to announce that it has filed the application necessary
      to list its shares on the Nasdaq Small Cap Market.

      Mr. Daniel Bland, President of Upgrade International Corp. states that "having
      recently received reporting issuer status with the SEC, the Company believes
      that it has now achieved the listing requirements necessary for Nasdaq Small Cap
      qualification. This is a very positive step for Upgrade and its shareholders."

      Upgrade International Corp. (OTCBB: UPGD), through its ownership interest in
      UltraCard Inc., is engaged in the development and commercialization of a
      patented, data storage technology. UltraCard incorporates conventional hard
      drive storage technology into a standard credit card form factor, which operates
