      Stratmin Global Resources (ISIN: GB00B9276C59)

      http://www.stratminglobal.com/

Stratmin Global Resources plc (AIM: STGR) is a London listed (leider nur in London und weder in Frankfurt noch in Toronto, New York etc.) graphite production and exploration company focused on Madagascar. Its assets comprise two long-term licences (für je weitere 35 Jahre), Loharano (Northern and Southern Block) and Antsirabe, with plans to expand production at the current mine, upgrade the current JORC resource and review other graphite opportunities.

      Sharestructure (vom 29.01.2013):
60,060,998 ordinary shares in issue and

      Loharano Graphite Project
The Loharano Graphite Project is located in eastern Madagascar, approximately 15 km west of the coast and 20 km south west of Brickaville, an area is particularly well known for its high-quality flaky graphite. The graphite is extremely pure (up to 99 per cent carbon) and occurs in the form of disseminated graphite flakes within the Proterozoic gneissic host rock.
      • Deposits contain a 5.7 million tonne JORC standard indicated and inferred resource;
      • Additional exploration upside exists by upgrading both the indicated and inferred resource through a planned drilling program (10% der Liegenschaften sind exploriert und diese 10% nur bis in eine Tiefe von 5m).)
      • Mineralisation is predominantly coarse flake graphite allowing for simplified processing and generating a product which commands premium pricing;
      • Completed graphite production plant at full capacity has the potential to produce 12,000 tpa of high grade flake graphite (Soll im dritten Quartal erreicht warden);
      • Der Bau einer zweiten Produktionsanlage ist für Ende 2013 geplant.
      • Assets are close to paved road and port infrastructure;
      • Cost structure is low (Produktionskosten werden mit US$500 pro Tonne angegeben, als Verkaufspreis wird von US$1400-US$1600 pro Tonne ausgegangen
      • Eine erste Verschiffung soll in den nächsten Wochen erfolgen
      • We are currently speaking to seven 'marketing and end user companies' interested in taking Stratmin’s graphite. All have samples and the first major shipment is imminent.

      Interview mit dem Vorstand:http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/stocktube/1533…

      http://www.lse.co.uk/ShareChat.asp?page=1&ShareTicker=STGR

The main market for graphite stocks is Canada's Toronto ventures exchange. Graphite stocks went on a crazy rally in early 2012, some explorers like Northern Graphite went up ten fold and had market caps several times of our current level. Many others followed suit, however in mid 2012 the TSX got hit hard and like most junior markets those that rallied most lost most.

We are. Now though seeing the second wave of the bubble that started in early 2012, most TSX graphite stocks are up a massive amount since October 2012, look at NGC, ZEN, LLG (three largest by mcap) there charts are very impressive and all are valued at the same or more than our market cap yet are years behind us and have much higher costs.

Northern Graphite needs at least $100m and Zenyatta needs $250m in capex just to build and equip the mine, so its massive dilution or debt funding issues to come yet the end projects are similar levels of production to our 12000tpa and less than our optimum 24000tpa.

This just highlights how far we need to move just to be valued with some parity to these which are really only explorers against our producing and still exploring status.

To really wet your appetite check out the market cap of Syrah Resources in Australia, ASX:SYR. Again its an explorer albeit with multiple projects.

We don't even get to approaching fair value until we have a market cap in excess of £120m

I did expect Graphmada to have been listed on the TSX but when it came to AIM I was quite surprised.

The only reason I think its on AIM is that its much easier to conduct a takeover on this market than the TSX.

This is the read deal, the only negative may be the political situation but that's quite stable now and no worse than any other African country and better than most.

The other key factor in my opinion is the development of the Ambatovy Nickel Mine, this mine is South of ours and is on the route to the Port, so you can imagine what infrastructure they have had to put in, bridges, road upgrades etc. Ambatovy cost over 7bn$ US and has been funded by a consortium of banks. They have even built new facilities at the Port.

All this infrastructure and dollar spend will ensure they have a clear path to the port for export, this clear path will be shared by us and that gives me great comfort and makes this project a bit less risky than most 3rd world ventures

      Und noch mal Graphite Tech:

This company came about by a private company Graphmada reversing onto Stratmin, the shareholders of Graphmada kept 87% of the new company in lieu of their 100% consideration of Graphmada.

The concert party consist of South African based Piernaar family and Singapore based commodity investors via Consmin, plus a few others including a local Madagascan.

They are in effect pulling the strings and in charge, the CEO Gobind Sahney is in my opinion a front man, the other director Jim Marvin is a well respected mining/metals player of the large stage and the Greek guy MY was just brought on board to help with the listing.

I expect the concert party are in full control and the directors answer to them and not he other way around

They are locked in for 12 months and I can't see them ever selling shares on the market, possibly only by block transfer or via a sale of the company in due course.

I expect they will use the majority of the current cash to fund plant No 2 and the oven, The JORC I expect will be in q2, remember the existing JORC was very much a rush job, they wanted to get it done to aid the RTO and only used a digger to form trenches no more than 4 or 5 meters deep, really only scratched the surface and a bit of simplistic shallow drilling. They need to do an infill drilling and extension of the small area they have trenched at depth.

Graphite percentage increases at Loharano the deeper you go so the JORC increases when drilled and appraised correctly could be massive, they have low level trenched 10% of one of three zones.

When you look at some of the large resource graphite plays they have perhaps more official drilling done than us but we have somehow got a bit of an oddity here, when times had been good I doubt they would have listed this but I would guess they ran out of money and could no longer fund what was going to be a private enterprise from start to finish.

So they retain 87% list 13% to raise the cash to complete what's been a nigh on six year project, all the usual PFS, BFS etc to gain conventional funding gets missed and you end up with a producer with a relatively small defined resource but with massive exploration upside.

That's what's so different about this, they would not be starting plant 2 if they had worries over the resource, at 24000 tpa it will be one of if not the largest jumbo flake graphite mines in the world including china.

The resource could be gigantic when fully explored, I reckon 3% may have been proved up to date. In the south they are finding graphite at 250m deep we are 5m deep.

News (Jetzt ist Stratmin eine Produzent(chen)):

StratMin Global Resources landmark as it makes its first graphite delivery
Mon 7:23 am by Ian Lyall
The graphite is at the container port at Taomasina ready for export to the US.

StratMin Global Resources (LON:STGR) has made its first shipment from the Loharano Graphite plant in Madagascar.

In all, 20 tonnes of high-quality flake graphite have been delivered to the container port at Taomasina for shipment to a customer in the United States.

Chairman Gobind Sahney said: "This maiden shipment represents an important milestone for StratMin.

“It also demonstrates the company's ability to explore, extract, and ship graphite. The board and I would like to congratulate all parties involved on our first shipment."

StratMin’s Madagascar operation will target production of a premium large flake product that is between 40 and 80 mesh (this measures the particle scale size and represents the product in the most demand) and 94%-plus carbon.

The firm expects to be able to sell its product for US$1,400-US$1,600 a tonne, with extraction costs in the order of around US$500 a tonne.

Its graphite is embedded in soft rock and clay and unlike the material located in hard rock it is a relatively simple process to liberate, making it very cost effective to mine. It should also ensure StratMin is one of the lowest cost producers around.

The plan over the next two quarters is to progressively ramp up output to 1,000 tonnes a month.

At this level the company becomes enormously cash generative, which marks it out from many other juniors on the AIM market.

The next step will then be to double annual production, which would really mark the company out as a mover and shaker in the world of graphite.

Graphite is one of the most interesting areas in mining at the moment, and one driven by the same fundamentals as rare earth elements.

China is both the world’s largest producer and consumer and there is the expectation of a constrained supply with an associated rise in demand for this vital resource.

Graphite is used in steelmaking and in lithium-ion batteries used in electric cars. However, the work of Nobel prize-winners Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov suggests graphite, or to be more precise thin slivers called graphene, has the potential to revolutionise consumer electronics.

Samsung and Nokia are already engaged in high level studies to incorporate this product into their devices.

Last year total world consumption was 1.1 million tonnes, although only 400,000 tonnes was the sought-after large flake variety produced by StratMin.

      News auf minesite.com:

"Stratmin Global Resources celebrated its maiden shipment of graphite, a 20-tonne consignment of flake graphite from Loharano in Madagascar to an unnamed US customer. Chairman Gobind Sahney said the company, which is ramping up production to 1,000 tonnes a month, would be able to sell all it could produce, claiming that three buyers had offered to take the company’s entire production for 2013 and suggesting 1,000 tonnes was its monthly target only because present production facilities could yield no more.
Graphite is in demand for uses ranging from brake linings and steel-making to batteries, electronics and smart phones, and Aim-traded Stratmin boasts a resource of 230 tonnes. Sahney said the company is seeking to extend its licences in Madagascar. Stratmin shares, which had traded at 20p within the past year, reflected this optimism, closing the week at 50.5p, putting a value of £30.3 million on the company."

Hi Guys....Just got back. Points I highlighted included his following comments "busy drilling programme for this year" , "Plenty of buyers looking for a Chinese alternative", "If you can produce it we will take it" - buyers no issue what so ever -"maximum production efficiency will be reached in Q2", "Looking forward to drilling results" "We are extracting a decent amount of Jumbo flake" (the super expensive stuff).
The first question in the Q&A was a real full on right hook from an Investor not happy with the vague content of the RNS`s. GS made assurances to improve noting Tavistock comms now on board. Another question regarded productivity timings to which Gobind replied that production should be at full speed by Q2.
I spent a good 40 mins with Gobind and Jeff (MD) after the presentation. Had a good shot at trying to find out who the 3 potential buyers might be but he wasn`t having any of it (he pretended not to hear my Asbury remark)
They are confident that revenue will start to roll in very soon. Gobind is a money man and he stated that immediate cashflow is a very important for Stratmin. Had a good chat with Jeff about the team out there. Jeff came across well. He`s very happy with the team they have in place. Some real hard working South Africans driving the productivity. He is back out there next week. What also became clear tonight is just how little competition they actually have. Most of the Canadian explorers are just that....explorers....with little or no cash (the pyramid slide in the new presentation touches on this). Tom - I asked about logistics - The goods are delivered FOB - A trade term requiring the seller to deliver goods on board a vessel designated by the buyer. (The seller fulfills its obligations to deliver when the goods have passed over the ship's rail.) So basically the buyer arranges and pays for the transportation of the material. In terms of the off take agreements - these are clearly in the pipeline. All in all a very interesting night. A real buzz about Stratmin. Jeff said their immediate focus is to ramp up production/drive volume/cashflow and to get Institutional Investors on board. Judging by what I heard and saw tonight this could happen very quickly.

By John Harrington April 19 2013,

Gobind Sahney, chairman of StratMin, wants to know why the share price is not two, even three times higher.

“I look at our peers, and I see what they are doing, and the market cap that they’re achieving, and wonder why we aren’t more highly valued,” he asks.

Those peers are other listed miners operating in the graphite space.

“We’re exploration/production, and this is where we think we’re undervalued in the market, because if you look at our peer group, they’re pretty much still in the exploration stage; a few of them have got beyond that – I think one has got the bankable feasibility study phase, but they still need to raise the money to raise the plant – that’s over US$100mln.

“In today’s market [raising that money] is a challenge.

“Where we stand, we not only have the resources, we have the plant to exploit that,” Sahney said.

The plant has the capacity to process 1,000 tonnes a month of high grade flake graphite. StratMin is ramping up output towards that capacity and, depending on demand, there is the opportunity to add on more capacity.

“The plant has been constructed on a modular fashion, we can put on additional flotation cells, we can increase the size of the pipes, we can add extra volume capacity,” Sahney disclosed.

However, that’s a decision for further down the road. Right now, the company is focused on making the best of what it has got.

“I think that what we want to do, we want to show that we have a business, and a business means that you have revenue. There are too many businesses that have too much cost. Here, we have revenue, and eventually profit.

“We’re installing our own lab. The lab will allow us to do our own assays without having to send samples away and wait for them to come back. We have our own sizing screens to size materials on site, so we can vary the sizes of the large flake and we get better prices for them and that improves our margins.

These are parts of the production process that over the next 30, 60, 90 days will come into play. Currently, we have over 150 tonnes of graphite that we have on site that we'll size.

So, we’re focused on not just production for production’s sake; we’re focused on production for sales’ sake.”

The inclusion of a lab on site is one example of the company’s quest for self-sufficiency, a strategic imperative that is influenced by the fact that Madagascar is an island.

“The island is improving in terms of working with natural resource companies, but in our situation, we like to be self-sufficient.

“We’ve spent money on critical spares, we’re judiciously recruiting people – one of the challenges is finding the right personnel down there, and so we’re doing that – and I think, as time goes on, Madagascar will improve, because they are getting the benefit of these larger companies that are investing in it, and after a while, people will realise this is not like working in Africa, because Madagascar thinks of itself as Indian Ocean, as opposed to Africa,” Sahney explains.

StratMin’s contentment with Madagascar does not mean it is not looking at opportunities in other parts of the world and applying its low cost production model. Wherever it goes, however, it is likely that the company’s focus will remain on graphite.

“We like the graphite space; we think that is an area that is going to be – in terms of the minerals, there is going to be big demand. We feel comfortable in that space. I think last year the market was valued at US$12bn. We’re just a small player in it right now but, you know, compared to our [publicly quoted] peers, we’re the only one in production.

“We feel very positive that various opportunities are going to be open to us; we might execute on some,” Sahney reckons.

Sahney likes graphite because, in terms of usage, it straddles the old world and the new.

“This is one of the reasons we like this mineral, because it is firmly anchored in a lot of old world uses, such as brake linings, refractory, crucibles, any sort of molten metal refining process is going to have a graphite component to it, because it is a high temperature dry lubricant.”

“Then you have all these new applications coming out, smartphones have a little bit of graphite stored in them; lithium-ion batteries have more graphite on them than lithium, and that’s not just for electric vehicles – batteries are used for mobile phones, uninterruptible power supplies, all these things.

That’s sort of the new world use for graphite.”

The end users clearly operate in very different fields, and rather than attempting to track them all down and sell to them, StratMin is offloading its graphite through marketing agents.

“These marketing agents are very well established. They’ve been around for, in one case, 135 years, and in another case, almost 85 years.

“They know the end users. Marketing agents have a commission that is very low compared to fielding your own sales force. Based on our margins it is more of a profitable way of selling. They know every end user out there, not just the guys who make brake linings or crucibles, but also the high-tech guys.

“So, for us, it is kind of like, you know what? We’ll tell ‘em every month how much we have, and they’ll sell it.

“They’re incentivised. The higher the price, the better the commission they get.”

The same probably applies to Sahney and StratMin’s share price, but his bafflement at the share price performance seems genuine.

“We put out that news [the March update] with probably more information than a junior miner needed to put out. We wanted the market to know we’re working for you; we’re doing the right thing.

“I think we’ve come a long way,” he concludes.

      Hy tpln

(Warnung!)

eine Frage, da ich relativer Neuling bin: Ist es eine Chance jetzt in Frankfurt (wohn´ ich, by the way) zu kaufen, weil
      NEU

      Was meinst Du??

      Vielen Dank

      Hallo Karlchen54,

Also heute ungünstig in Frankfurt.

StratMin (AIM: STGR), the graphite production and exploration company with assets in Madagascar, is pleased to announce that it has raised gross proceeds of £750,000 by means of a placing of new ordinary shares ("the Placing"). The Placing is comprised of 4,166,667 new ordinary shares of four pence each ("New Ordinary Shares") in the Company at a price of 18 pence per share and 100% warrant coverage for a period of nine months from the Admission Date at 20 pence per share.

Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and it is expected that trading will commence on or around 20 September 2013. On Admission of the New Ordinary Shares, the Company will have 69,701,254 ordinary shares of four pence each in issue.

The funds raised will be used by the Company to invest in further upgrades at the Lohorano plant in order to increase the produced graphite carbon content grade, and for working capital as the Company works towards cashflow break even.

Manoli Yannaghas, StratMin's Managing Director said: "This is a very positive development for StratMin and is, I believe, an endorsement of our strategy to grow the Company."

Eine gute Zusammenfassung von CyprusSteve auf advfn:

      CyprusSteve
      25 Sep'13 - 13:38 - 2025 of 2050 1 0

The reasons I am invested here are as follows :
      1) A whopping 85% of shares tightly held - -hTTp://www.stratminglobal.com/index.php/investors
      2) Market cap only £13.6m.
      3) The ONLY pure graphite PRODUCER listed on world markets, and the only pure graphite play listed in London.
      4) Funding recently raised £750,000 on September 17th - hTTp://www.stratminglobal.com/images/documents/news/130917_Issue_of_Shares_FINAL.pdf
      5) New MD recently appointed, who has already begun to demonstrate his ability to turn the Company potential into reality – as is witnessed by their recent initial SALES contract - hTTp://www.stratminglobal.com/images/documents/news/130912_Initial_sales_contract.pdfI I feel very sure that this is the first of many.
      6) The SP is not far off it’s recent low – there is no doubt that historically the Company has been badly managed, but, the new MD Manoli Yannaghas was appointed on July 2nd 2013 – I sincerely believe he will transform this slumbering Company into a transformational business. hTTp://www.stratminglobal.com/images/documents/news/130702_AppointmentOfManagingDirector_FINAL.pdf
      7) Financial results and trading update due by end of September – their PR advisers have verified this to me.
As always, I hesitate to make a SP forecast, but simply to share my thoughts, which may be of help to some looking at the Company for the first time.
I hold this share and continue to add at the current SP.
      Best wishes all,
      Steve
