I went to Portugal, a mining-friendly country, in June to visit Blackheath Resources Inc. (BHR:TSX.V). Under its agreement with Avrupa Minerals Ltd. (AVU:TSX.V), Blackheath will have 70% this year and the option to acquire 85% of Covas, one of the highest grade, if not the highest grade, projects in Europe. So, while a competitor, such as Wolf Minerals Ltd. (WLF:ASX), will produce tungsten at an average grade of 0.19%, Covas has an average grade of 0.78%. This translates into a rough value of $310 per tonne of ore. The most recent Covas drill program has hit intercepts up to 1% and even 2% tungsten. Grade is king everywhere, be it in gold or tungsten.

Blackheath has a very good chance to develop its Covas and the Borralha project mainly because of its CEO, Jim Robertson. He was involved with Primary Metals, also a tungsten company operating in Portugal, which was floated at $0.15/share I think five or six years ago and was taken out by a Japanese metals trader at $3.65/share three years later. I trust this management team, and I’m pretty sure it will repeat the same trick.

Nach anschauen der Presentation -für meinen Geschmack reichlich früh noch, um zu bewerten ob das mal etwas werden könnte.

In größerem Umfang schon vorhandene Infrastruktur ist eine gute Sache, aber einige Fragen die sich stellen sind denke ich u.a. die nach "scale" sowie dass die Grade, wenn die historische Resource ausgeweitet werden können sollte, vermutlich nicht (annähernd?)haltbar sein werden. Darüberhinaus muss man denke ich auch aufpassen sich von einer (optisch)niedrigen Bewertung nicht blenden zu lassen.

klar, im Grunde noch ein Startup. so lange sind sie ja nicht an der börse.
24 mios aktien incl warants/options

marktkap 5 mios cad.
derzeit völlig out solche werte... grad mal deswegen.
bewertung soclhe unternehmen ja weitgehend willkürlich.
ob sie mehr wert sind weiß man noch nicht.

4 Dinge gefallen mir:

- die historische Resource mit den hohen grades
(die im übrigen immer noch vergleichsweise recht hoch wären, falls sie sich
halbieren würden bei einer resourcensteigerung)

- portugal als 1. sicheres land und 2. als land das auch aufgrund der wirtschaftlichen situation zur minenfreundlichkeit tendiert un tendieren muss.

- die vorgeschichte mit Prime Metals... ebenfalls wolfram, ebenfalls portugal.
-> schafft zumindest ein gewisses vertrauen. erfolg ist dann auch oft wiederholbar (siehe den guten alten keith N. first quantum, first majestic)

- Wolfram... steigt und steigt un steigt über die jahre und hat nach wie vor bzgl. angebot nachfrage gute prognosen, als eines der wenigen metalle.
trotzdem sind auch hier die minen "out"

ich habe sie nicht und werde vermutlich in nächster zeit auch nicht kaufen.

Klar, kann/muss jeder machen wie er es für richtig hält.

Mir wären nur (noch?)die Pro Argumente im Verhältnis zu den Fragezeichen der Firma -auf Basis der Presentation- (deutlich)zu wenig. Da dürften voraussichtlich noch Minimum 2 -3 Jahre vergehen, bis sich das etwas genauer sagen lässt. Und mit 1 Million in der Kasse dann vermutlich auch mit einer bisschen anderen Aktienstruktur.

Stimmt, man darf auch nicht vergessen die Übernahme damals von Prime war im hypejahr 2007 als der TSX-V bei 3500 punkten stand. heuer unter 1000.
...und auch nur zu 54 mio CAD. heute würde man wohl 20 Mios zahlen. incl Verwässerung sehe ich da im vergleich auch nur 100% aufschlag im best case.

sollte hier rein.


die Gehalte der Proben sind schon sehr gut. Kaufen würde ich sie trotzdem nicht. Wenn die so ne Resource, mit paar Milliönchen Tonnen, raushauen, dann könn ma vielleicht drüber reden.
Räumliches Vorstellungsvermögen kann bei Rohstoffbuden begünstigend sein.
Ma gukken was dann real world bohrungen zu erzählen haben.

Blackheath schließt überzeichnete Privatplatzierung

Die kanadische Blackheath Resources (WKN: A1J3VA), die Wolfram-Projekte in Portugal betreibt konnte die nicht Brokerbeteiligte, mit 300.000 CAD überzeichnete, Privatplatzierung abschließen. Wie das Unternehmen bekannt gab, wurden 5,2 Mio. Aktien zum Preis von 0,25 CAD platziert, wodurch dem Unternehmen 1,3 Mio. CAD zufließen. Zusätzlich zu jeder Stammaktie erhält der Zeichner einen halben Warrant. Jeder ganze Warrant berechtigt den Zeichner zum Erwerb einer zusätzlichen Stammaktie zum Ausübungspreis von 0,35 CAD über einen Zeitraum von zwei Jahren, nach Abschluss der Privatplatzierung.

Blackheath plant, den Erlös aus der Privatplatzierung für die Explorationsaktivitäten in die Wolfram-Projekte im Norden Portugals - Covas, Borralha, Vale das Gatas, Adoria und das Zinn-Wolfram-Projekt Bejanca - sowie für allgemeine betriebliche Zwecke zu verwenden.

Aufrüsten – nicht möglich ohne Wolfram

In 2013 wurden weltweit rund 1,74 Milliarden US-Dollar für Rüstung ausgegeben. Dafür ist Stahl und im besonderen Wolfram nötig.

Weltweit steigen die Ausgaben für die Rüstung, mit Ausnahme von Westeuropa und den USA, letztere haben durch den Rückzug aus dem Irak ihre Ausgaben gekürzt. Mehr Geld in die Rüstung stecken vor allem China, wobei die Zahlen nicht so ganz offen liegen, und Russland. Ähnliche Bestrebungen gibt es im Nahen Osten, insbesondere in Saudi-Arabien, sowie in Afrika. Die überalterte deutsche Militärmaschinerie schreit nach einer Überarbeitung. Daher dürfte auch in Deutschland und anderen NATO-Ländern die Nachfrage nach Militär-Vehikeln und Munition steigen.

Für den militärischen Konstruktionsbereich ist der Rohstoff Wolfram aufgrund seiner spezifischen Eigenschaften ein wichtiges Element. Granaten als panzerbrechende Waffen werden mit Hilfe des extrem härtenden und hohe Temperaturen aushaltenden Metalls gebaut. Für die Stahlherstellung ist ebenfalls Wolfram nötig. Bei der Produktion von Wolframstahl werden rund 90 Prozent der Weltproduktion von Wolfram eingesetzt. Weitere Wolfram-Nachfrager sind die Automobilindustrie und die Hersteller von Schneidwerkzeugen beispielsweise.

Neben China kommt Wolfram vor allem aus Kanada, Russland und auch Portugal. Dort belebt Blackheath Resources (ISIN: CA09238D1069) ehemals produzierende Minen wie die Covas-Mine neu. Aktuell laufen bei diesem Projekt Phase-3-Bohrungen, die die bekannten Zonen der Wolfram-Mineralisierungen erweitern sollen. Die Bohrungen der Phase 1 und 2 waren erfolgreich: Die historischen Ressourcen sollen sich auf 922.900 Tonnen Gestein mit 0,78 Prozent WO3 belaufen. Die finanziell gut aufgestellte Gesellschaft plant zudem, das Wolfram-Zinn-Projekt Borralha und das Wolfram-Projekt Bejanca zu explorieren.

"Blackheath Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: BHR) (FRANKFURT: 04B) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed the second tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement. The Company is also pleased to provide an update on its work on the Covas Tungsten Project.


Private Placement

The Company raised gross proceeds of $221,000 in the second tranche of its private placement through the issuance of 552,500 units at a price of $0.40 per unit (the "Units"). Each Unit comprises one common share of the Company and one-half of one non-transferable common share purchase warrant (each whole warrant, a "Warrant"). Each Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share of the Company at an exercise price of $0.53 per share for a period of 30 months from the closing of the private placement. In the second tranche, the Company paid cash finders' fees totalling $12,000.

James Robertson, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, purchased 52,500 Units in the second tranche, representing approximately 3% of the Units sold in both tranches of the private placement.

The Company closed the first tranche of $500,000 on December 17, 2014 and has raised a total of $721,000 through the issue of 1,802,500 Units in the combined first and second tranches. The Company may choose to close one or more additional tranches of the private placement to raise a total of up to $2,000,000.

Blackheath intends to expend the proceeds raised from the Private Placement on exploration of its past-producing tungsten projects in northern Portugal, including Covas, Borralha, Bejanca, Adoria and Vale das Gatas and for general working capital purposes.

All securities issued or issuable under this tranche of the private placement are subject to a hold period under applicable Canadian securities laws expiring on June 25, 2015, in addition to such other restrictions as may apply under applicable securities laws outside Canada.


Update on Covas Tungsten Project

The Company is pleased to report that the Phase 3 diamond drill program on the Covas Tungsten Project has now been completed. Seventeen shallow diamond drill holes, totaling 1,337 metres were drilled in 6 different target areas: Lapa Grande, Muito Seco, Boundary, Castelo, Valdarcas and Telheira North.

The Phase 3 drill program, combined with previous drill campaigns and historic drill data, will allow Blackheath Resources to issue a National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects compliant resource at the Covas Tungsten Project. Gary Giroux P.Eng. M.A.Sc. of Giroux Consultants Ltd. and Barry Price, M.Sc., P.Geo. of B.J Price Geological Consultants Inc. are working to prepare a current resource estimate and a NI 43-101 compliant technical report.

James Robertson, CEO of Blackheath Resources, stated, "Our goal of upgrading the non-compliant historical resource to a current compliant resource is almost complete and will be released shortly."

Covas is a past-producing open pit and shallow underground tungsten mine and remaining historical resources on the property have been estimated at 922,900 tonnes of 0.78% WO3 (tungsten trioxide) by Union Carbide Corp. in 1980, based on work including 329 drill holes on the property. Mineralization is open to expansion. The price of tungsten has increased significantly in recent years and is currently approximately $280 per metric tonne unit (10kg) of contained tungsten trioxide. (These resources are historical in nature, prepared by Union Carbide Corp. in 1980 and are considered relevant. However, neither the Company nor a qualified person has done sufficient work to classify the historical estimates as current mineral resources and the Company is not considering the historical estimates as current mineral resources, and the historical estimate should not be relied upon.)

The Covas property, which was awarded a three year Experimental Mining Licence (August 20, 2013) is located about 100 kilometres north of Porto, Portugal's second largest city. Blackheath holds the property under an option from Avrupa Minerals Ltd. under a previously announced amendment to the Covas Joint Venture earn-in agreement (see news release of May 12, 2014).
