Hong Kong-listed Shunfeng International Clean Energy has reached a deal to buy a controlling stake in Chinese LED lighting producer Lattice Power, according to a securities filing.

Fragen zu sfce

Servus zusammen..

ich wollte einmal fragen, ob jemand Neuigkeiten oder Aktuelles über sfce melden kann.. man hört sehr wenig über das Unternehmen.

Dazu hab ich zwei Fragen - zugegeben, wahrscheinlich sind sie recht einfach zu beantworten.. und ich gebe zu, dass mir hinsichtlich Aktienkunde einfach viel Wissen fehlt.
Geschuldet hauptsächlich zeitlichen Gründen. Trotzdem hoffe ich auf eine Antwort Eurerseits.

1. Warum oder besser: Welche Gründe kann es geben oder sind plausibel, dass man so wenig über sfce hört.. im Vergleich zu anderen (chin.)Solarunternehmen.

2. Die Aktie von shunfeng liegt bei 0,17 cent.. trotz meiner Meinung nach positiver Nachrichten in letzter Zeit.. im Vergleich dazu liegt eine Jinko Solar-Aktie bei 20 Euro..
Woher kommen - ganz allgemein - solche gewaltigen Unterschiede..? Beide Unternehmen sind in China beheimatet, in derselben Branche tätig..
und shunfeng hat sich ja auch schon zu einem großen, erfolgreichen Unternehmen gemausert.

Hallo Michael, ich denke ich kann auch hier antworten:

1) mein erster Kauf ist fast immer weniger von Anlageüberlegungen geprägt, als davon dass ich mitbekommen möchte was läuft;

2) das passiert auch bei Werten, die kaum Aussicht auf Gewinne haben, deren Thema mich aber interessiert;

3) bei Shunfeng ist mein Hauptgrund, dass ich das Monitoring Business (MeteoControl) interessant finde, weil es recurring revenue einbringt.

4) Nachdem ich Shunfeng eben in mein Excel "eingebaut" habe, kann ich nur sagen, dass mir die Zahlen auf den ersten Blick nur wenig erzählen:
* halber Buchwert, aber praktisch kein Gewinn
* 2014 und 2015 massiv von Bewertungsfaktoren rund um den Convertible beeinflusst
* bilanziell faktisch ein Anlagenbetreiber-play

=> abwarten und Tee trinken...

neben FSLR, SPWR, SMA und SolarLog;

Also, ich kann aus der gestrigen Meldung "Possible Disposal" wirklich NICHTS ableiten,

alles ist höchst konjunktiv und die Höhe der vermuteten Vergütung liegt in einem Bereich, dass sie ohne weitere Infos nur schwer beurteilbar und möglicherweise fair ist:

Bei einer Bilanzsumme von rund 20 Mrd. RMB, wovon 13 die power plants sind, könnte es schon hinkommen...


Gemäß der "strategischen Logik" würde ich Meteocontrol bei der 1165 verbleiben sehen.


Warten wir mal ab, der wahrscheinlichste Fall bei sowas ist, dass gar nichts passiert (schon oft erlebt).

Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) has warned that it expects profits for the first half of 2016 to be more than 80% below the prior year period, due to PV power plant curtailments in China and losses accrued from two key acquisitions, Suniva and Lattice Power.

Diversified renewables firm Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) has warned that it expects profits for the first half of 2016 to be more than 80% below the prior year period, due to PV power plant curtailments in China and losses accrued from two key acquisitions, Suniva and Lattice Power.

In a financial statement, SFCE noted that PV power plants owned by the company in the region of Xinjiang, China were impacted by grid curtailment issues with an estimated revenue of loss of RMB 246 million (US$36.8 million) on lost electricity generation of approximately 300,300,000 kWh, despite the volume of power generated by the company increasing in the period. SFCE did not say in the statement when the curtailment issues would be resolved.

SFCE also highlighted that it was impacted by losses of RMB 44 million (US$6.6 million in the first half of 2016, attributed to its 63.13% majority shareholding in US-based PV module manufacturer, Suniva Inc. The company completed the acquisition in October 2015.

Suniva recently highlighted that was near completion of its manufacturing facilities expansion in Georgia and Michigan to 430MW. The company has been operating for nine years.

SFCE also noted that its acquisition of US-based gallium nitride (GaN) on silicon LED producer, Lattice Power in August, 2015 had led to reporting loss of approximately RMB 100 million (US$15 million) in the first six months of 2016.

Increased expenses in relation to new loans and financing of new PV power plant projects in the reporting period meant finance costs increased more than 60%, compared to the first half of 2015, according to the company.

The expansion of solar product sales to overseas markets and the impact of competitive ASPs in its key China market led to distribution and administrative expenses increasing by approximately 30% as compared to the first half of 2015.

Bad-debt collections also declined in the reporting period to RMB 70 million (US$10.4 million), compared to RMB 430 million (US$64.4 million) in the first half of 2015.

As a result of the issues, the 80% decline in expected losses, compared to the prior year period profit of RMB 172.5 million (US$25.8 million) indicates a profit of only around US$5 million is being guided.

SFCE previously announced that it was seeking to sell its solar PV manufacturing operations to major shareholder and Hong Kong property tycoon, Kin Ming Cheng for around RMB 5 billion (US$760 million).

SFCE said it would release first half year results in August.

E.ON partners with meteocontrol for remote PV system maintenance

Munich-headquartered E.ON has partnered with fellow German energy firm meteocontrol to launch a control console that allows for the remote monitoring and operation of PV systems.

meteocontrol is contributing its monitoring software VCOm virtual control room to the endeavour, which will work in tandem with E.ON’s customised monitoring solution.

The joint monitoring control system could revolutionise the way system operators manage both small units on roofs as well a large solar parks, creating a ‘hands-off’ approach to ensuring reliable operation, according to Matthias Krieg, head of PV maintenance/services at E.ON.

meteocontrol’s VCOM software can analyse incoming alarm reports and all incident management. The software’s fault detection can pinpoint abnormalities quickly and as soon as they happen, to potentially reduce the time required for on-site repairs. E.ON customers will be able to access data from the monitoring system via a personalised website.

“With this monitoring solution, E.ON can provide customers with secure, long-range support that has been optimized across all process steps,” said Martin Schneider, managing director of meteocontrol. “We are looking forward to our partnership with E.ON, in part because it will also produce synergies for globally scalable models designed to optimize the returns of PV systems.”

Diversified renewable energy firm Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) has warned that it expects to report a loss in 2016 of around US$133 million (RMB 923 million) due to a catalogue of issues.

SFCE said that two of its previous acquisitions, Suniva and Lattice Power had generated losses for the year, while its existing PV power plant portfolio continued to suffer from grid curtailment issues in various regions in China. The company also highlighted increased interest expenses related to the construction of PV power plants in the year that also contributed to overall losses in 2016.

SFCE noted that majority-owned US-based PV module manufacturer Suniva, which recently completed a production capacity expansion was expected to generate losses of around US$16.3 million in 2016 after reporting losses of around US$7.4 million in the first half of the year.

US-based semiconductor firm, Lattice Power was said to generate losses of around US$19.5 million in 2016, due to severe market competition and higher R&D expenses. SFCE would also recognise an impairment charge of approximately US$28.9 million on its investment in Lattice, which was acquired in 2015.

However, the key losses would be attributed to its existing PV power plant portfolio. Ongoing grid curtailment issues in Xinjiang, Gansu and Qinghai provinces meant the loss of approximately 600,000,000 kWh in potential electricity generation that equated to around US$69.3 million in lost revenue in 2016.

SFCE had previously noted in reporting first-half year financial results that in the region of Xinjiang, it had estimated a revenue loss on approximately 300,300,000 kWh of approximately US$36.8 million.

SFCE also noted that PV power plant project finance costs in the second half of 2016 had increased approximately 8.4% compared to the first half of the year and interest expense increased approximately 35% or around US$35.4 million.
