Wie versprochen habe ich meine Fühler über meinen Cousin bei Computer Associates ausgestreckt.

Hier sein Bericht (leider in Englisch). Vielleicht stellt einer ´ne Übersetzung rein. Es sieht so aus, als ob Identkey eine echt saubere aber teure Lösung der
Sicherheitsprobleme gefunden hat. Die Lösung ist zunächst für den Hochsicherheitsbereich von Banken u.s.w. sehr interessant. Aber lest selbst:I got back from New

Identikey did have a booth at CA-World! I had them give me their demo. It
was very interesting. It actually worked in the reverse direction of what
you might think. The internet user holds on to a small pocket size device
that has a numeric keypad on it and at one end the device has some type of
optical light sensor. On what would normally be an internet userid and
password screen, is a screen that contains a JAVA script that flashes two
squares
(about 2 cm x 2 cm). The two squares flash on and off very quickly in a
pulsating fashion. The optical reader on the end of the pocket size device
detects the flashing pattern. This detection, along with a unique code in
the devive, plus the exact second that a code is entered produces a unique
numeric key. That key is then entered on the HTML part of the screen. That
is how you access your account at an internet site such as a bank.

It is basicly impossible for someone else to pretend they are you, because
only a second later the code generated would be different. The technology
is meant for peolpe performing transactions on the internet where a lot of
money is involved. It is too expensive for the average internet
transaction. A bank could use it for their richest customers. Stock
brokers could also use it for their big traders. The Identikey person I
talked to said that they had just signed a deal with Wells Fargo Bank here
in the U.S.A.

The Identikey person said that they would go public (IPO) in Austrialia in
about 4 weeks. He said that they plan on moving corporate headquarters to
the U.S.A. in the future and they would then look to list the company on the
NASDAQ stock exchange.

Would this company be a good investment, is a good question. The
technology looks good, but its hard to say how much it would catch on.
There`s probably about a 50/50 chance of the company doing well. I think it
would be a good compamy for the high risk/high reward part of an investment
plan.

Hi Stayoo,

danke für die Infos und Grüsse! War einige Tage abwesend und somit off-line. Habe nur am Rande die Börse verfolgen können und hoffe auf
kurzfristige Bodenbildung. In der derzeitigen Situation helfen auch "good news" UCl nicht und die erneute Erwähnung im "Aktionär" trägt ebenfalls nicht zu einer Erholung bei. Fassen wir es kurz in "voll im Trend" zusammen und nehmen uns ein Beispiel an den Softbank-Aktionären die 66% Kursrückgang hinnehmen mussten und nicht aus dem Fenster gesprungen sind. Man sehe sich in "Focus Money" die Tabelle an der letzten Crashes - Erholung immer in längstens 3 Monaten! So what - die Zeit haben wir!
