The Hickory-1 Discovery well is currently testing two reservoirs; the Upper SFS and the SMD-B. After fracture treatment, gas expansion from the reservoir at approximately 3,500 PSI flows to the surface and is then flared at atmospheric pressure of about 14.3 PSI. The gas expansion is the energy to lift the all the hydrocarbons and water from the reservoir to the surface. The gas, water, and oil is in a single phase until it is processed through the test production facilities where it becomes 3-phase; gas, oil, condensates, and water. Separated fluids are measured by volume in barrels (1 barrel = 42 gallons). The gas going to the Flare stack is also measured by flow meters and then converted to cubic feet per day and the gas laws for PVT (pressure, volume, and temperature.) One cubic foot of gas is the volume of gas in a 1-cubic foot container at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and atmospheric pressure of 14.3 PSI. Oil and water do not expand from the reservoir to the surface. The gas in solution in the oil does expand, thus providing the energy to flow / produce to the well bore and if enough gas is available, then flow to surface. When the volume of gas declines, wells are placed on artificial lift such as a Pumping Unit.

It is impossible to just look at a flare during testing and determine the volume in MCF (thousand standard cubic feet) or the composition. It is also impossible to use a visual flare size to determine the volumes of oil and water. During testing, the flow rates are changed; i.e., various choke settings and restricted or unrestricted to observe the response of pressure drop and increase. All the test data is used to determine reservoir deliverability and the fluid volumes.

GOR

One of the test results is the GOR, the Gas to Oil Ratio. The gas/oil ratio (GOR) is the ratio of the volume of gas ("scf") that comes out of solution to the volume of oil — at standard conditions. The GOR is used at the State level to determine if the well (and the reservoirs) are either designated as oil or dry gas/condensate. The State will then assign spacing orders nad reservoir orders as to how it can be developed and the well spacing distance between wells and the offset mineral leases.

An example of GOR. IF a well is producing 2,000,000 SCFGPD, and the oil produced is 500 BOPD (barrels of oil per day) then the GOR is (2,000,000 / 500) = 4000 ft3/bb. IF a well is producing 2,000,000 SCFGPD and the oil is 1,000 BOPD, then the GOR is 2000 ft3/bb. And then IF a well is producing 1,000,000 SCFGPD and the oil 850 BOPD, then the GOR is 1176 ft3/bb.

The GOR is not observable by the flare itself, nor is the volume.

Is it an Oil well or Gas well?

A well is usually industry classed as:

an oil well if its GOR<15,000 ft3/bbl,
as a gas well if GOR>150,000 ft3/bbl, or as a condensate well if intermediate.

The associated FLARE gas is liquid rich with NGL's. The flare is a combination of the gas components, each having their own BTU's (British Thermal Units) value and burn at different temperatures. "Wenn Sie in den letzten 5 Jahren investiert haben, haben Sie Geld verdient, wenn Sie es vor 2 Jahren verkauft haben, als es 0,09 $ kostete. Das Problem ist, dass viele auf dieser Höhe gekauft haben. Sie sind bei .04 oder .03 eingestiegen und verlieren ihre Hose. Weil der Hype so groß war, dass er selbst erfahrene Anleger täuschte.
Heutzutage ist also eine Pumpe fällig, aber selbst das verwirrt viele. Denn wir sind in einer viel besseren Position als letztes Mal und der Betrag ist auf fast einen Penny gestiegen, und jetzt entwickelt es sich in die falsche Richtung. 1. Die Inhaber sind besser ausgebildet und/oder 2. Sie vertrauen dem Unternehmen nicht genug, um mehr zu kaufen.

Das Dilemma für die Oldtimer mit 88 ist, was jetzt zu tun ist. Sie waren in der Vergangenheit so sehr verbrannt, dass sie das Gefühl hatten, von Ashley Gilbert mit seiner übertrieben optimistischen, kryptischen Erfolgssprache angeführt worden zu sein, nur um dann herauszufinden, dass es nicht einmal annähernd und viel riskanter war, jemals mehr Aktien zu kaufen, als er es vorgetäuscht hatte .
Dennoch war 88 noch nie so nah dran am Erfolg, dass es so verlockend ist, mehr Geld hineinzustecken. Ich bin einer von denen. Ich besitze bereits mehrere Millionen Aktien ... aber ich weiß, dass 88 Aktien verwässern müssen, um ihre Projekte zu finanzieren, die den Aktienkurs erneut zum Absturz bringen werden. Hier liegt der Kern des Dilemmas: Bei einem starken Flow-Bericht sollte es einen großen Pump geben, und wenn man jetzt Geld investiert (und es gleich danach verkauft), wird es sehr profitabel sein. Aber die Geschichte war eine Pleite und die Wunden sind nicht verheilt. Ich bleibe also bei meiner Position und mache keine Schritte.

Ich muss mich immer daran erinnern. Penny Stocks und Öl sind sehr riskant. Das größte Risiko aller Aktien, die Sie kaufen können, besteht meiner Meinung nach darin, dass selbst gute Nachrichten, egal wie viele Daten Sie haben, dem Kauf eines Lottoscheins mit gegenteiligen Chancen gleichkommen. Deshalb wiederhole ich diese Tatsache in Gedanken immer wieder, um mich zu beruhigen. Oh, und wenn ich noch mehr Geld verliere, werde ich mich scheiden lassen und die Hälfte meines Geldes mitnehmen. Also ja … für mich ist das Dilemma vorbei. Sieht so aus, als würde ich dann noch mehr Aktien kaufen."

Es kommt auf die

Durchflußrate an, ob die kommerziell rentabel ist.

So eine Flamme brennt rel. schnell mit etwas Gas und hat keine Aussagekraft bzgl. einer förderbar, rentablen Ölmenge.
Insofern ( noch ) nicht so große Erwartungen aufbauen, bis was zu den Öl-Durchflußraten gemeldet wird, die für uns ausschlaggebend sind.

uns bleibt

einfach nur die Hoffnung, dass sie es endlich mal gelernt haben nach all den vielen, teuren Voruntersuchungen und endlich wissen wo und wie tief sie bohren müssen und nicht wie nach dem letzten Jahr feststellen, dass sie etwas tiefer hätten bohren müssen 🙈

Auf mich wirken die halt nicht professionell genug in dem, was die da tun , außer maximal zu pushen bei den Aktionären im Vorfeld .

Leider muss ich Dir Recht geben.
Aber irgendwann nach 1000 Bohrungen findet auch mal ein blinder Bohrer einen Tropfen.
Auch hier hast Du Recht, 1000 Bohrungen waren es noch nicht.
Eine Rechtfertigung falls Misserfolg haben sie schon eingetütet,
das Erfolgsteam von Pantheon hat schließlich auch mitgewirkt
