Core Exploration is developing lithium and diversified metals exploration projects in world class mining provinces.

FINNISS LITHIUM PROJECT, NT
Core’s NT Lithium Project includes the Mount Finniss Tin Tantalum Mine – the largest historically producing tin and tantalum pegmatite mine in the NT, and a further 25 historic tin tantalum pegmatite mines in the lithium rich Bynoe pegmatite field.

Core’s Finniss Lithium Project encompasses a large landholding in the Bynoe Tin Tantalum-Pegmatite Field.

The Bynoe field is one of the most prospective areas for lithium in the NT and has many similarities to Greenbushes in WA, one of the world’s largest spodumene deposits.
As with Greenbushes, before economic lithium was recognised, Bynoe also has a 100 year history of tin and tantalum production.

Core’s project area covers over 200km2 and 25 historic pegmatite mines including the Bynoe pegmatite field and the Mount Finniss Tin Tantalum Mine – the largest historically producing tin and tantalum pegmatite mine in NT.

The strong endowment of tin and tantalum in pegmatites at the Mount Finniss Mine and surrounding area suggest excellent potential for lithium mineralisation.

The majority of the known deposits and associated pegmatites were discovered by prospectors in the early 1900’s or during an extensive exploration phase for tin and tantalum by Greenbushes Ltd in the 1980’s. Very little exploration has been undertaken since the work done by Greenbushes some 30 years ago.

The Bynoe region has substantial infrastructure advantages being close to sealed road, grid power, gas and rail infrastructure and within easy trucking distance to Darwin Port - Australia’s nearest port to Asia.

Am Freitag lag das Handelsvolumen (ASX + Chi-X) bei 204,799,646 Aktien.
Insgesamt hat Core Exploration 270,928,583 ausgegebene Aktien.
Insgesamt also theoretische 75,59 %.

Signifikante of the BP33 Discovery
The discovery of high grade zones of lithium with this current drill program is very significant for Core "given the scale of some of the new pegmatites identified by the Company’s current field programs are directly comparable to the scale of pegmatites hosting large lithium resources in Western Australia. "

Core’s Finniss Lithium Project has substantial infrastructure advantages being close to grid power, gas and rail infrastructure and within easy trucking distance by sealed road to the multi-user port facility at Darwin Port - Australia’s nearest port to Asia.

"The remaining assays from Core’s recently completed first RC drill program at Finniss are expected later this week."

"Core’s current drilling programs on other lithium pegmatite targets at Finniss will continue for as long as possible until the start of the wet season expected during late November."

"This is a great time of year to kick back, and review your portfolio. To help with your research, I've compiled a summary of our current Projects, as I believe CXO is worth including in your review. Fingers crossed that 2017 might be a good year for us.

Core’s Finniss Lithium Project:
Core’s Finniss Lithium Project covers a large portion of the Bynoe Lithium-Tantalum-Tin Pegmatite Field. This Field is a 15-20 kilometre wide belt of more than 90 tin and tantalum prospects and mines and lithium rich pegmatites which stretches over a distance of 75 kilometres south from Port Darwin and is one of the most prospective areas for lithium in the NT. Core’s Finniss Lithium Project has substantial infrastructure advantages being close to grid power, gas, and rail and services infrastructure and within easy trucking distance by sealed road to the multi-user port facility at Darwin Port - Australia’s nearest port to Asia.
RC drill assays from Far West North, Far West Central, Grants and other prospects from Core’s current Phase 2 RC drilling are expected over coming weeks and into early 2017.

Far West Prospect (located 500m from Grants Prospect)
13/12/2016 - initial results of Phase 2 RC Drilling
Far West comprises a series of pegmatite bodies that have been intersected by drilling consistently over a 1,000m strike length between Far West North and Far West Central - they have the potential to deliver a series of interconnected pegmatite bodies of spodumene bearing pegmatite that combined, may represent a considerable volume of mineralised pegmatite.
A thick zone of high grade spodumene has been intersected during the first drilling program at Far West North (45m @ 1.57 Li2O FRC030). Other intersections at Far West North typically ranging from 5-15m true width.
Several 50-60m thick intersections of pegmatite have also been intersected at Far West Central.
Assays from the remainder of the initial RC drilling program at Far West North and Far West Central are expected in coming weeks.

Grants Prospect
14/12/2016 - completed maiden diamond drilling program
All holes drilled at hit thick intersections of excellent quality coarse grained spodumene that is potentially amenable to processing to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate. The green spodumene mineralisation makes up a substantial proportion of the entire pegmatite. Core anticipates strong lithium results from the assays from these diamond core holes in early December. Initial observations of the Grants core show that high grade lithium (as spodumene) is consistently present as a major rock forming mineral throughout 40m-50m thick, fully-cored pegmatite drill intersections.

7/12/2016 - High grade lithium assays of drill core confirm that diamond drilling at Grants Prospects have hit thick
intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation in all four diamond holes drilled, including: 42m @ 1.53% Li2O from 58m (FRCD001); 39m @ 1.55% Li2O from 69m (FRCD002); and 48m @ 1.53% Li2O from 70m (FRCD003).
Spodumene mineralisation is consistent throughout the Grants pegmatite, and has been intersected consistently over 40m-50m in all three fully cored diamond drillholes. The spodumene is green at the Grants Prospect, and the spodumene crystals are usually large with some greater than 10cm.
A bulk sample from Grants of 400kg of large diameter HQ core is now at Nagrom metallurgical facilities in Perth, W.A for metallurgical test work to determine potential to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate. Como Engineers are managing metallurgical test work and will provide preliminary engineering advice in early 2017. Como Engineers have an excellent track record with previous successful input to both Pilbara Minerals Ltd’s Pilgangoora Lithium Project and Galaxy Resources Ltd’s Mt Caitlin Lithium Project.
24/11/2016 - Diamond core returned from the first diamond drilling has consistently hit thick intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation in all drill holes at the Grants Prospect.
25/10/2016 - First Diamond Core Drilling includes: 49m @ 1.78% Li2O from 71m (FRC007); 40m @ 1.66% Li2O from 58m (FRC018).
20/10/2016 - RC holes drilled showed significant levels of lithium mineralisation as spodumene intersected including: 40m @ 1.66% Li2O from 58m (FRC018); 10m @ 2.02% Li2O from 65m; 5m @ 2.05% Li2O from 84m; 1m @ 3.23% Li2O from 85m; 31m @ 1.61% from 68m (FRC017)
All holes hit pegmatite intersections over broad intervals of 30 – 50 metre widths (approximately 20-30m true width), containing high grades of lithium as spodumene mineralisation. The Grants Pegmatite outcrops for over 350m at surface and is consistently intersected in all drill sections and is open to the north and south'

BP33 Prospect
7/12/2016 - High grade lithium assays of drill core confirm that diamond drilling at BP33 Prospects have consistently hit thick intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation including 5m @ 2.53% Li2O; 34m @ 1.47% Li2O from 85m (FRCD004).
BP33 Prospect has both green and pink spodumene, and the spodumene crystals are usually large with some greater than 10cm.

25/10/2016 - First Diamond Core Drilling includes: 34m @ 1.60% Li2O from 71m (FRC003)
Initial observations of the BP33 core show that high grade lithium as spodumene is almost ubiquitous throughout the first 40m fully-cored pegmatite drill intersection. As a result, Core has immediately commenced preparation for this large diameter HQ core and additional cored drillholes at Grants (once completed) to be sent for metallurgical test work to determine their potential to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate.

Ah Hoy Prospect
20/10/2016 - RC holes drilled showed significant levels of lithium mineralisation as spodumene intersected including:
4m @ 2.01% from 83m; and 19m @ 0.68% Li2O (FRC014).

ZOLA Prospect
3/11/2016 - Drill applications to potentially fast track the drilling of the large Zola pegmatites have been lodged
Reconnaissance mapping and careful research of historic reports has uncovered several large un-documented or poorly documented pegmatites. The large-scale Zola Pegmatite Prospect on newly granted EL 31126 includes a north-south trending swarm of pegmatites covering an area conservatively estimated at between 1-2 square kilometres.
The most important aspect of Zola is the scale. The outcrop of decomposed pegmatite and quartz blows extend for up to 1,500 m NS and could be as long as 2,000m under cover. Pegmatite material extends EW for at least 450m at surface, suggesting a substantial swarm of highly fractionated pegmatites. The scale of the Zola Pegmatite prospect is directly comparable to the scale of pegmatites hosting large resources in the Pilgangoora region in Western Australia.

Ringwood Prospect
3/11/2016 - Drill applications to potentially fast track the drilling of the large Ringwood pegmatites have been lodged.
The newly discovered Ringwood Pegmatite Swarm presents as pegmatite and quartz outcrop and float extends at least 2,000m long and 800m wide, and is directly comparable to the scale of lithium pegmatites in Western Australia.
Ringwood is positioned within a 6,000m long trend of previously unmapped pegmatites north from Mt Finniss Mine NT’s largest historically producing pegmatite mine that is also within Core’s Project. Spodumene mineralisation has also been recently drilled to the north of the Ringwood trend by Liontown (ASX:LTR) at the Sandra’s Pegmatite.

In addition to Core’s Finniss Lithium Project, there are the Anningie and Barrow Creek Lithium Projects in NT.
Core’s Anningie and Barrow Creek Lithium Projects. Encompass four Exploration Licence applications covering approximately 2,500 square kilometres in and around the Anningie and Barrow Creek Tin Tantalum Pegmatite fields in the north Arunta Region of the NT, which are considered highly prospective for lithium.
NTGS and other geoscientific research highlights that the Barrow Creek Suite source granites have enriched lithium contents comparable with the highest lithium granites in the NT.

Other Projects
We have other exciting projects such as zinc, copper and uranium, but I will cover them in another post.

Please DYOR, hope you had a great Xmas and looking forward to 2017.

The second reason to consider CXO as a possible investment for 2017 is Uranium.

Like all of you, I was glued to the television, horrified as the Fukushima tragedy unfolded.

I thought it was the end of both Nuclear Power and the Nuclear Industry. I was wrong.

There is a rerating in Uranium stocks going on, which is being driven by changing fundamentals and is expected to continue over the next couple of years.

http://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Uranium-Prices-Set…

http://oilprice.com/Alternative-Ene...Could-Fuel-A-Nuclear-E…

Core discovered uranium at Fitton in 2012 in its first drilling campaign on the project. The Company’s second RC drilling program in 2013 hit thick and high grade uranium intercepts which have continued to extend uranium mineralisation.
Core’s exploration work and drilling at Fitton confirmed that:
• uranium mineralisation outcrops
• uranium mineralisation contains both thick and high grade intersections
• uranium mineralisation extends to at least 150m downhole depth
• the mineralised structure is over 1km long
• exploration potential for repeated mineralised structures

Core’s 100% owned Fitton Project is located in a proven worldclass uranium mining region, situated 500 kilometres north of Adelaide in South Australia, and located within 25km of three operating uranium mines -
• Beverley Mine (46Mlb U3O8 Resource 7.7Mt @ 0.27% (21,000T U3O8)
• Beverly North Mine (8.8Mlb U3O8 Resource 2.2Mt @ 0.18% (4,000T U3O8); and
• Four Mile Mine (71Mlb U3O8 Resource 9.8Mt @ 0.33% (32,000T U3O8) .

Whilst world uranium prices have not been conducive over the last few years to progress the Fitton Project, Core have announced they are monitoring recent corporate activity in the uranium sector and will look to increase exploration activity again based on uranium prices and other corporate opportunities.

The attached presentation is from April 2015, but it is a good read, and is still relevant today.

***

The third reason to consider CXO in 2017 is Zinc.
The price of Zinc rose 75% in 2016, due firstly to growing Chinese demand, and secondly due to the closure of two major mines. These closures took away about 0.6 million tonnes of mined metal from the market, which was followed by production cuts by a few other major miners. Moreover, a number of smaller zinc mines in China are being closed due to environmental concerns.
In addition to multiple closures and suspensions of existing mines, the majority of new zinc projects currently under development are relatively small in scale, generating limited ability for new mine capacity to fill the supply gap.
All these factors have contributed to an imbalance where zinc demand is expected to increase at a higher rate than supply growth, keeping the market in deficit and, as such, pushing upward pressure on zinc prices.
Core has two prospective Zinc Projects that it can target - Yerelina and Great Gladstone.
Zinc assays from broad mineralised breccia zones drilled by Core during the 2016 reporting period indicate that Core has possibly discovered a new sedimentary hosted zinc system on the Yerelina Zinc Project, which covers a total area of 1,000km2 in northern South Australia. Core has also been awarded $190,000 of co-funding from the South Australian Government as part of the SA Government’s PACE Discovery Drilling 2016 program to drill Yerelina on EL 5015.
At the Great Gladstone prospect, a "17m intersection from 145m depth of mineralised breccia and veining averages a zinc plus lead grade of 1.4% and 19g/t silver and includes higher grade zones of 4m at 3% zinc, 1% lead and 59g/t silver from 150-154m. Of the 38 samples taken along a 1km section of fault zone at Great Gladstone, 34 returned combined lead and zinc assays in excess of 1% and over 1g/t silver with the best assay at 14.7% zinc. Lead values peaked at 12.7% and silver at 567g/t".

We also have several other projects, but I don't think we'll have time to scratch ourselves, let alone progress them. In no particular order, they are:

Inkheart Prospect
RC drilling in 2014 intersected broad zones of silver and lead mineralisation including high grades up to 268g/t silver (Ag) and 8% lead (Pb). The mineralised zone was intercepted consistently for at least 500m along strike and contained wide and highgrade intersections mostly within.

Blueys Prospect
Core’s drilling in 2014 discovered a new silver lead zinc sulphide system on the Albarta project . Up to 1,000g/t silver and 17% zinc and lead intersected in drilling. Very high grades of silver at surface up to 4.5kg/t (4,500 g/t. 500m long sulphide system drilled and open at depth and along strike at Inkheart16.

Jervois Domain
Core drilling has confirmed the 20km Big-J target zone has copper mineralisation consistent with KGL Resources neighbouring Jervois project, but on a larger exploration scale. Core’s first pass shallow drilling program (average drill hole depth of 10m at 50m spacing) found elevated copper on all five traverses drilled across a 15km section of the Big-J target zone.

Big Hill Prospect
Diamond drilling has intersected a broad 30m wide zone of intermittent breccia and veining at the Big Hill Prospect."

Guten Morgen zusammen,

http://coreexploration.com.au/user_files/reports/20130429_CX…

"Full approvals for Core to commence drilling are now in place to drill Zola and Ringwood pegmatite targets as soon as the 2017 field season commences."

"In addition to drilling the large Zola and Ringwood prospects, Core is planning to undertake exploration programmes on these large, newly granted tenements that will be similar to the programmes that were highly successful for Core in 2016, leading to the discovery of multiple high grade lithium rich pegmatites at the Finniss Project, including the Grants, BP33 and Far West prospects."

"We now have confirmation of spodumene mineralisation on at least 6 prospects within our Finniss Project, and importantly, we have many more pegmatites on our tenure still to test, some of which have very significant scale potential”.

“While we continue to remain focused on advancing our flagship Finniss Lithium Project toward early development, Core has a number of other exciting opportunities within our portfolio, which now include a Uranium Resource and advanced exploration assets in low- risk uranium production jurisdictions of Northern Territory and South Australia.”

“As we are always considering options to maximise the value of Core’s assets for shareholders, supplementing our existing uranium exploration assets with this advanced uranium deposit is consistent with Core’s positive long term view of the uranium sector.”

“The addition of the Uranium Deposit at Napperby is particularly exciting in the context of increasing uranium prices. Core notes with interest that the spot uranium price has increased close to 40% over recent months.”

Ringwood appears to be shaping up quite nicely and will give zola a run for its money imo.
Geochemical sampling over the Ringwood prospect has generated anomalies of key pegmatite LCT indicator elements like Ceasium, Rubidium, Tin and Tantalum, which appear to correspond to pegmatite outcrop and possible shallow buried pegmatites. Which is similar LCT indicators seen at grants and bp33 which is also highly weathered at the surface.

I thought id make a list of the pegmatites names and possible outcrop zone size in length which are in the ringwood cluster and a few new which are south and west of the cluster. (figure 7)

In order to give Core and Yahua additional time to finalise documentation and secure relevant approvals, the parties have agreed to a short time extension of the sunset date to 30 November 2017."

http://coreexploration.com.au/user_files/reports/Core_Enters…

---

https://smallcaps.com.au/core-exploration-finniss-lithium-pr…

"Core Exploration (ASX: CXO) has signed a direct shipping ore (DSO) offtake agreement with a China-based party, which includes a US$20 million prepayment, for its 100%-owned Finniss lithium project in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The binding offtake agreement for 1 million tonnes of DSO accounts for more than 50% of Core’s anticipated life-of-mine production from the Grants lithium deposit within Finniss.

After either a five-year period, or purchasing 1mt of DSO, Core and the vendor Ya Hua International Investment and Development (Yahua) may elect to extend the agreement.

As part of the agreement, Core has first refusal over any additional Grants lithium, and the surrounding EL29698, up to either 500,000t of DSO or 25% of forecast production for any calendar year – whichever is greater.

The agreement takes into account current market prices, but comprises a price floor and ceiling.

“The signing of the first offtake and prepayment agreements for the Finniss lithium project is a significant milestone for Core, and we are delighted to have extended our strategic relationship with Yahua, as one of our largest shareholders, as a result of the recent A$2 million equity investment into Core,” Core managing director Stephen Biggins said.

At this early stage, Core is still assessing whether it will produce a DSO or process its ore further to create a lithium concentrate. The agreement between Yahua and Core allows for the duo to alter the arrangement to suit a lithium concentrate product instead.

“Within the space of just over 12 months, we have discovered and defined the Northern Territory’s first lithium mineral resource, completed a robust mining study in respect of the development of Grants as a high-grade DSO mine, applied for a mineral lease, and now concluded our maiden offtake and prepayment agreements – a key element which significantly de-risks our development plans,” Mr Biggins said.

On Monday this week, Core reported its adjacent Bynoe lithium project had revealed high-grade lithium intersections up to 54m wide grading 1.42% lithium.

Meanwhile, Grants has a current resource of 1.8mt grading 1.5% lithium, with both projects less than 100km from Darwin Port, where Core has an agreement to potentially export up to 1mtpa of DSO ore or upt o 250,000tpa lithium concentrate.

Mr Biggins added the prepayment would assist with project development as the company transitions from explorer to producer.

He said the company aimed to become a long-term spodumene concentrate supplier to the lithium battery market."

http://coreexploration.com.au/projects/view/anningie_and_bar…

19.06.2019

Core Lithium is pleased to showcase its Finniss Lithium Project, located near Darwin in the Northern Territory. Finniss is set to become Australia’s first lithium-producing operation outside of Western Australia when it comes online in 2020.
