      Enertopia Corp. hat sich auf die Exploration von Lithium aus Sole fokussiert. Eine Präsentation von Februar 2017 ist auf der Website veröffentlicht. Man hofft durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Genesis Water Technologies und deren eigenen zum Patent angemeldeten Verfahren, Lithium aus Sole extrahieren zu können, momentan laufen dazu Tests.
      Enertopia hat drei potentielle Soleprojekte in Nevada, unweit der Tesla Gigafactory.

He also received a diploma in accounting and finance from the U.K. Association of Certified Accountants. He has 43 years of experience in the mining industry, including both base metal and precious metal projects in several countries including Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Russia, Venezuela, and Zambia. His experience covers a wide range of activities in the mining industry from process development, management of feasibility studies, engineering and management of construction, and operation of mines.

      VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / May 8, 2017 / Enertopia Corporation (ENRT) on the OTCQB and (TOP) on the CSE (the "Company" or "Enertopia") the Company provides the following update with respect to its ongoing lithium exploration program.

      The Company is happy to announce that after six months of due diligence and internal review that it will be launching a very targeted location specific review of high priority Lithium targets across the South Western USA over a 10 day period from May 17 to May 27. The Company believes this approach is in the best interests of the company and all shareholders.       On May 2, 2017 a German consortium group announced their lithium battery project named the EMBATT using Nano technology and thin film processing will be ready by 2020 for in-vehicle tests to verify the lab results that the batteries could provide a range of over 600 miles on one charge.

      Der Spread ist meist recht heftig, läßt sich daher leider schlecht handeln.

      Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 54.932.876 von pischtie_hufnagel am 12.05.17 18:36:28... glaube, momentan kann man nicht viel falsch machen, Vorstand hatte zu diesen Preisen damals auch noch eingekauft, letztes PP zu 0,09$ und Optionen zu 0,12$ ausgegeben und Dr. Thomas John bekommt Aktien zum Ausübungspreis für 0,10$, alles oberhalb jetziger Preise, sollte sich hier das Management nicht total verzockt haben, sollte das Ding steigen.

      This series of bench tests will create synthetic brine by using material from Enertopia's Clayton Valley, NV project.
      System design and testing process using specialized Electrocoagulation (EC) Process to keep 90% of lithium in solution while removing 80% of colloidal particulate.
      Utilization of Electrocatalysis to further separate Lithium from solution, Distillation Process to evaporate and condense water and solids stream.
      Rehydration of Lithium and addition of sodium carbonate to create Li2CO3.

      The estimated bench testing and technical review hours for this next phase of testing are planned at 1,500 hours.

      "Genesis Water Technologies looks forward to promising results from this phase of testing analysis and anticipates that achievement of the goal of obtaining battery grade lithium with high recovery yield will prove economically viable. At Genesis Water Technologies, we utilize innovation in water.       Enertopia Corp. has closed the first tranche of $130,000 for its private placement announced on Oct. 26, 2017. Enertopia will be issuing 2.6 million common shares at five cents and 2.6 million whole warrants that expire on Nov. 1, 2019, with an exercise price of six U.S. cents during the 24-month period.

      Enertopia partner Genesis to start Li testwork in Nov.

      Enertopia Corp. has provided a bench testing update for the recovery of lithium and ultimately, upgrading the lithium to battery grade Li2CO3 (lithium carbonate) by Enertopia's technology partner Genesis Water Technologies.

      The goals of this much larger second phase bench test are to build upon the first phase results and achieve lithium recovery rates of greater than 80 per cent with Li2CO3 achieving minimum purity of 99.5 per cent with battery-grade standards being achieved.

      Genesis Water Technologies has provided Enertopia with the following update summary:

      The completed milestones include process and flow diagram of the system processes. After this initial concept review with a presentation of initial diagrams, the design calculations have commenced for the whole process. This process has included using several calculations and formulas relating to chemistry, chemical engineering, process design, leach method calculations for various pH adjustment scenario's and process control volume for tanks.

      This has been followed by electrical engineering calculations pertaining to faradays equations, wire diagrams for the systems themselves pertaining to all processes for both electrolysis process and the ion exchange process chemistry. The initial testing of leach samples to determine yield into leach solutions will start in November.

      Overview of third party laboratory results from the bulk samples to be used in the bench testing below:

      Bulk sample GWT-001A appears more like a chalky claystone, very fine grained and has a slightly salty taste. Bulk sample GWT-002A has more of a granular appearance and better light reflectance, likely due to the much higher sodium content which is readily apparent by the strong salt taste.

      One of the key points from these early sample results using deionized water alone on sample GWT-002A both magnesium and iron were left behind thus creating a high lithium brine 596 parts per million Li with a very low magnesium content of 22 ppm Mg and iron content of 16 ppm Fe. For reference, most producing lithium brines have ratios of 1.6 to six parts magnesium to lithium. In the case of GWT-002A bulk sample, this ratio has been flipped on its head and there is 27 ppm Li to every 1 ppm Mg.

      In the table below are the assay results for the two bulk samples that will be put through the ENERLET lithium recovery process. ME-ICP61 is a four-acid digestion that will extract lithium from any mineral, including silicates. ME-MS41W is a highly dilute version of aqua regia that will dissolve carbonate minerals. ME-MS03 is a leach method that uses deionized water to extract lithium in the sample.

      Corporate Update:

      Eighteen months ago we began our R&D initiatives to recover battery grade Lithium Carbonate through the synergies of advanced technologies in renewable energy, water filtration, and associated technologies.

      Since September our partner Genesis Water Technologies (GWT) has been evaluating data obtained from the first bench test results and other technical data provided by Enertopia to complete a larger and enhanced lithium recovery system.       Can you explain what is meant by synthetic Lithium brine from your January 12th press release?

      Absolutely, what we have done and are doing is using Lithium enriched source rock from two areas at surface from our Clayton Valley, NV project area.
      Our third party lab that we engaged used 500g of source rock and 2,000mg/l of water at room temperature. NaOH a strong base was added to increase the pH of the solution to 11.0 this solution was agitated for two hours and then filtered.
      The filtered solution is what we then call the synthetic Lithium brine.
      It is this synthetic Lithium brine that then gets sent to third party assay laboratories for final analysis.
      The testing we are currently doing will determine the synthetic Lithium brine that we will be running through the GWT (ENERLET) system.

      BENCH TEST UPDATE:

      GWT has informed the Company that the bench scale build will be completed during the week of March 4th 11th. Pre-testing with synthetic Li brine solutions will commence the following week. Synthetic Li brine solution testing will continue throughout the remainder of March and April. Final 3rd party lab results are currently expected by the end of May.

      Enertopia is excited about supplying GWT with synthetic Li brine samples made from Li enriched surface samples from the Company's Clayton Valley project. After months of testing by 3rd party labs and internal analysis by GWT and Enertopia consultants, it has been determined that the synthetic Li solutions will be composed of surface host rock samples from the bulk samples GWT-001 and GWT-002.

      Synthetic Li brine solutions having a pH of 2.0 will be achieved using H2SO4 and synthetic Li brine solutions having a pH of 11.0 will be achieved using NaOH or Ca(OH)2.

      Solution testing will take place at various temperatures from 20o C to 80o C.

      The goals of these series of bench tests are to test, in a precise manner, the effect of higher solution temperature and varying pH and the response of the patent-pending GWT ENERLET Lithium recovery process.

      Our 3rd party testing has revealed that by using a high pH of 11.0 or a low pH of 2.0 allows for 47.75% in the case of pH 11.0 to 50.56% in the case of pH 2.0 of the lithium in solution to be recovered. However, using solution with a pH of 11.0 results in a significant drop in the levels of contaminant minerals that need to be removed in order to obtain battery grade Li2CO3 as per the table below. Especially note the reduction in both Mg and Ca in synthetic brine produced using an alkaline leach.

      Over the past two weeks, GWT has been performing final Li2CO3 testing using synthetic brines solutions created from Enertopia's Clayton Valley, Nevada project. These synthetic brines were made by mixing host lithium oxide surface rock with distilled water acidified with HCL or by using distilled water in a solution of PH10.5 to PH 11.0

      Referenced are the following photos of the first synthetic Li2CO3 slurry and the dried Li2CO3 product that has been received by 3rd party independent labs on May 10, 2018.



      The last Li2CO3 test run using lithium source rock is now on schedule to be completed and shipped by no later than May 31, 2018. The 3rd party independent labs have indicated that the turnaround time is currently estimated to be 21 to 28 days due to industry backlog in sampling.       Genesis Water has been performing final Li2CO3 testing using synthetic brines solutions created from Enertopia's Clayton Valley project.       Enertopia Corp. has provided the following synthetic lithium brine testing update for the recovery of lithium compounds by its technology partner, Genesis Water Technologies Inc. (GWT), a leader in specialized water treatment solutions.

      Over the past several months, GWT designed, built and tested a bench-scale pilot plant to recover lithium carbonate from synthetic brine solutions created from Enertopia's Clayton Valley, Nevada, project. These synthetic brines were made by dissolving host lithium oxide surface rock in distilled water acidified with hydrogen chloride or by using a distilled water solution raised to Ph 10.5 to Ph 11.0 by addition of sodium hydroxide.

      The goal of this completed testing was to achieve the recovery of battery-grade lithium carbonate from the synthetic brine. The solutions were passed through separate recovery lines. One line processed the brine using GWT's electrolysis (ES) method. The low-voltage ES system allowed for the removal of impurities by altering the input DC voltages to the system. The second recovery line used a single ion exchange (IE) column for the removal of impurities from the brine.

      Over the next three weeks all of the synthetic brine samples that were treated, as well as the collected and dried Li2CO3 product from each test, will be assayed and assays are expected to be received from third party independent labs. The finished Li2CO3 product will be first analyzed via ICP methods to test that they meet the required industrial-grade 99-per-cent or battery-grade 99.5-per-cent purity and that they contain impurities only below the maximum allowed by weight.

      The finished Li2CO3 (lithium carbonate) product samples were analyzed via ICP (inductively coupled plasma) methods by independent third party labs to test whether or not they met required battery-grade purity levels (99.5 per cent) by testing for impurities below the maximum allowed limits by weight. All third party lab testing results have been received and battery-grade purity was not achieved by using Genesis Water Technologies' single pass process system for recovery of lithium into Li2CO3.

      Next steps

      After reviewing the independent third party technical data from the completed second phase bench test, the board of directors decided that it was in the best interest of Enertopia to provide Genesis Water Technologies with a formal 30-day notice of termination with respect to the licensing agreement. Such notice has been given today.

      Launch of Test Work and Drilling Program

The first phase has established that a synthetic brine high in lithium and low in magnesium can be produced by leaching at an elevated pH.

      The testing and sampling program has been designed by Dr. John Thomas, B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D. chemical engineering will consist of multi-phase program that will comprise solution testing through various ion exchange resins, reverse osmosis membranes that are standard in the industry to refine, concentrate and polish our lithium brines for conversion to Lithium carbonate or hydroxide. The first phase baseline has been completed and the brine testing results are below.

      The synthetic lithium brine samples were created using distilled water at room temperature and adding either CaOH or NaOH at maintained pH levels of 9, 10 and 11 for 2 hours. The ratio of 100g source material and 300ml distilled water at 20 degrees Celsius were used for this phase one testing program. It should be noted that the quantity of lime or sodium hydroxide used was small.


      Takeaway's from first phase of testing:

      Testing has shown that an alkaline leach of Clayton Valley source rock produces synthetic brines with much lower impurities than synthetic brines produced by acid leach of the same rock.

      Testing also showed that we can produce a lithium brine solution at a far lower cost by using either a CaOH or NaOH caustic solution versus H2SO4.

      Note sample TOP 3 was created using 130g source rock and 300 ml solution.*

      The next phase of testing will consist of evaluating the process design for producing various lithium salts using Ion Exchange media.

      Enertopia Corp. has closed the first tranche of $132,000 from a private placement. Enertopia will be issuing 4.4 million common shares at three cents and 4.4 million whole warrants that expire on Aug. 31, 2021, with an exercise price of five U.S. cents during the three-year period.

      Enertopia Announces Clayton Valley Drilling Update


      Kelowna, BC—Enertopia Corporation (ENRT) on the OTCQB and (TOP) on the CSE (the "Company" or "Enertopia") is pleased to announce the first drill hole (TOP-04) was completed to a depth of 297 feet with the bottom of the hole still in the lower green claystone. The upper claystone was intersected at 42 feet and the reduced zone was intersected at 82 feet and the lower claystone intersected at 212 feet. Drill hole TOP 04 confirms the mineralized lithium claystone assemblage remains intact on the northern part of the company’s property, as was intersected in hole DCH-09 by Cypress Development west of our claim boundary.

      Drilling Update as of December 15

      Drill hole TOP-02 has been drilled to a depth of 258 feet and drilling continues with the drill bit in reduced claystone. The upper claystone was intersected at 7 ft, but down-hole problems did not allow for the upper claystone to be properly cored until a depth of 22 feet. Reduced claystone was intersected at 96 feet.

      Drill-hole TOP-02M (metallurgical test hole) has been drilled to a depth of 235 feet so far. TOP-02M intersected claystone at a depth of 7 feet, but downhole problems did not allow for the claystone to be properly cored until 20 feet. Reduced claystone was intersected at 86 feet and drilling continues in the reduced zone.

      Drilling has not yet started on drill holes TOP-1 and TOP-3.

      Sample prep is currently underway on drill hole TOP-04.

      Four of the five holes drilled bottomed in what appears to be limestone conglomerate. However, recovery in this unit was very poor. In the coming days, cuttings from this lower unit will be examined in more detail to determine if the limestone conglomerate is a distinct unit or if it is cuttings returned from an interval of thin limestone interbeds contained within claystone. Drilling of thin limestone interbeds within claystone would return cuttings that look like those intersected.

      Detailed logging of the drill cores will proceed after all drill samples have been inventoried and sent for analysis. Detailed logging is expected to give us a much clearer picture of the strata intersected in the drill holes.

      Drill hole TOP-01 was drilled to a depth of 292 feet with the bottom of the hole in limestone conglomerate.

      As expected, our best intercepts for the thickness of the claystone package was on the southern half of our property. Due to time constraints and drilling conditions we were unable to go deeper into the claystone horizon at this time.

      Metallurgical Drilling Summary:

      Drill-hole TOP-02M (metallurgical test hole) was drilled to a depth of 272 feet due to drilling conditions. The drilling intersected 66 feet of upper claystone and 191 feet of reduced claystone and ended in limestone conglomerate. Solution testing of hole TOP-02M will start once assay results are back from TOP-02 and the grade and distinct strata graphic horizons can be correlated and prepared.

      Enertopia Provides Solution Testing Progress Report

      Since March 2019, Enertopia has been running in-house tests to recover lithium in the most cost-effective manner from synthetic brine solutions produced by leaching samples from the December 2018 drilling program from our Clayton Valley, Nevada project.

      After visual inspection of the 2017 bulk samples, it was determined to have the particle size of the sample sorted and assays for each fraction completed to determine if presorting by grain fraction size could be a meaningful option to reduce the amount of claystone to process and possibly increase the head grade of the remaining claystone. The Company engaged Base Met Labs out of Kamloops, BC to conduct the fraction size testing and the results are below.

      The Company is pleased to report that 16.5% of the sample which was composed of mainly coarser material contained only 2.5% of the Lithium. The remaining 82.5% of the sample size contained 97.5% of the Lithium.

      Based on these results the Company has sent 5kg samples of the Upper Oxide, Upper Reduced, and Main Reduced zones to see if these three horizons can also be beneficially sorted as well.

      The Company is testing several options in removing as much as possible unwanted contaminates before the enriched Lithium synthetic solution is processed. By thorough analysis of economically removing unwanted solids and or liquid fractions, this will enable a smaller and higher concentration of Lithium brine to be processed in a more efficient manner.

      To this end Base Met Labs has also been engaged to verify and build upon our in-house testing of the Upper Oxide, Upper Reduced, and Main Reduced zones over the past six weeks.

      The Company is also pleased to report that in-house column resin testing has confirmed our earlier results for removing contaminants and leaving Lithium in solution. Once the Base Met Lab results have been received from the three zones this data will be incorporated in the next series of resin testing.

      Our pre-pH adjustments have demonstrated positive outcomes as contaminant minerals are greatly reduced allowing for a cleaner synthetic lithium brine to be processed using off the shelf technologies and variants developed by Entertopia.

      The company's technical advisors believe the positive testing to date may warrant patent protection and thus the Company is keeping all internal data strictly confidential at this time.       Since March 2019, Enertopia has been running tests to recover lithium in the most cost-effective Capex manner from synthetic brine solutions produced by leaching samples from the December 2018
      drilling program from our Clayton Valley, Nevada project.

      The Company has been and continues to run the following series of tests, grain sizing and lithium grades per grain sizing, pre-strip reagent testing on impurity levels in the Upper Oxide and Reduced
      drilled horizons.

      The Company is still waiting for the assay results on the grain sizing. Early reagent results thus far have been very encouraging. These tests have been run at room temperature and normal atmospheric pressure. Early findings have resulted in significant drops in contaminants before running Ion resin column leach tests. For example, Boron levels have been dropped to below the detection limit of 5 ppm from starting solution values of 49 ppm in the upper oxide horizon, 27 ppm in the reduced
      horizon. Calcium values have been dropped to a low of 16 ppm from 740 ppm in the oxide horizon.
      Potassium values have been dropped to 46 ppm in the upper oxide and to 64 ppm in the reduced zone from 1,800 ppm levels. Sodium values of 500 ppm and 600 ppm in the upper oxide and reduced
      horizons were dropped to 300 ppm and 434 ppm respectively.
      To put this into perspective when using ion resin exchange values below 500 ppm are considered the threshold for Potassium and Sodium removal on a cost-effective basis. We believe our next series of
      solution testing will further lower the contaminate levels even further.

      CEO Robert McAllister was recently at the CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy) Conference in Montreal. While there he met with the company’s resin provider to go over the updated testing results and steps for the next series of solution tests to be followed by the column leach resin tests. The lithium concentration tests will follow the completion of the Ion resin tests. While attending the conference timelines for mining equipment procurement were discussed along with capital
      requirements for other equipment with various vendors.

      It is too early in the Company’s development to specify an exact timeline or particular production equipment, but we have, at this point, every indication that our goal is achievable at a much lower
      capital cost than the industry has recently been accustomed to dealing with.

      Enertopia Signs NDA For Review of Lithium Processing Pilot Plant

      Enertopia has signed an NDA to share data for an initial pilot plant which will showcase the possibility of building a net carbon neutral Lithium mining operation in the Nevada desert.

      The company's technical advisors believe that the positive testing to date may warrant patent protection, and thus the Company is keeping all internal data strictly confidential at this time. Additionally, beyond the above-mentioned NDA, the Company has also signed several NDA’s with industry partners as it works to reach its goal of a low CAPEX solution to battery-grade lithium production.

      Assay Testing Continues:

      Our current phase of Lithium solution testing continues to support further work in the area of reduced acid consumption. Acid reagent consumption is a considerable expense in the potential processing of Lithium claystone projects worldwide. Unfortunately, with the increased amount of industry drilling, the turnaround time for assay work has increased from 10 days to approximately 5 weeks. These delays are expected to last through the remainder of 2020 and into Q1 2021.

      Our latest series of testing has focused on potential industry-low acid consumption rates of under 5% by volume weight using various acids. Our tests have produced recovery rates of between 55% to 62% depending on the type of acid, and type of Lithium claystone being treated. We have also been reviewing other 3rd party data that could be extremely beneficial in lowering acid costs by both unit cost and reducing transportation costs. We believe that using novel approaches to acid consumption will lead to higher lithium in solution values per % of acid by volume that is the current industry norm, with lower acid consumption levels. This has the potential of lowering upfront capex costs and reducing neutralizing waste claystone (back end expense), thus reducing water consumption needs.

      Concurrently with methods of acid production, the company has been reviewing novel applications, using clean technology, to increase the recyclability of process water. Analysis of these methods indicate the potential for greater than 90% of the process water being reused over time.

      Enertopia Announces Filing of First Provisional Patent

      This technology will allow us to create a closed system loop where only solar energy is used to both start and complete the Li solutions processing. This will be done by taking the excess heat from solar panels and using it to heat our created Li brine solution to the desired ambient temperature of 122F to 140F during the 3 – 4 hour processing cycle. Any excess process water will be kept in insulated storage tanks for use as new batches of Li solution begin processing. Additionally, excess PV production will be stored by batteries and controlled by a BMS (Battery Management System).

      As Enertopia moves forward towards our goal of creating a low carbon pilot plant, we realized that there were certain inefficiencies associated with PV panels that could be used to our advantage while processing the lithium claystone found on our claim. In particular, we found that the PV panels are subject to significant heat stress as temperatures rise. Manufacturers generally rate PV panels at a temperature of 77F, while fieldwork in the desert of Nevada showed temperatures on the back of the panels regularly exceeding 140F, damaging the PV panels (resulting in a shorter life span) while also losing significant output.       The effect of temperature on solar panel efficiency

      Another goal of this project will soon be put through beta testing and monitoring verification. Upon completion of this testing phase, an unnamed 3rd party that has a three-megawatt solar array has agreed for us to do real-time comparative testing on their PV sub-arrays. The goal will be to increase their PV production while simultaneously removing the heat stress, which will, in turn, prolong the life of their PV panels, a common problem associated with running solar arrays in hot, arid regions.

      As with most electronic equipment, excess heat can be a killer and solar panel arrays are no different. The performance of solar panels decline as they heat up, and decreased power output is the result. The industry manufacturers rate their products’ susceptibility to increasing panel temperature, where It is standard practice to test solar panels for power output at 77 °F. So, if a panel is rated to have a temperature coefficient of -0.50% per 1.8°F above 77 °F, that panel’s output power will decrease by half of a percent for every 1.8F degrees the temperature rises above (77 °F). With it being common for PV panels to reach temperatures of 137F, a solar array being 60F into the heat stress zone would equal a decrease of 15% or more on the solar array output.

      Other aspects of heat stress include heat fatigue causing permanent PV cell failure, string loss downtime, and 100% production loss.

      With over 1.2TW (Terawatts) of worldwide PV installed capacity, and another 100 Gigawatts of PV capacity coming online per year, the inefficiencies that are currently experienced due to overheating are quite extensive and expensive.       The table below uses the data from four locations. Tonopah, NV which is close to our Clayton Valley Lithium project, is where the data for the first row of column 1 is generated. We were able to show at maximum production the ability to extract 5,466 gallons of water per hour/MW of solar array. The varying factors in the data are; humidity levels, ambient air temperature, dew point. Column 2 shows the average water extraction per hour/MW of solar array.

      Enertopia Provides August Technology Update

      Now that we have filed our three provisional patents, we have moved into the monitoring phase of testing with the ENERTOPIA HEAT EXTRACTOR(TM).       Carbon Credits

      By being able to quantify the increased clean energy output and offsetting CO2 credits, we will then be able to provide an update on the potential value of CO2 credits going forward. We believe the company will be able to monetize the increased savings via CO2 carbon credits as part of the testing via the 3rd party monitoring system. Five years ago these credits resulted in upfront payments of roughly $1,000,000 dollars per Mw based on predefined operating contracts in the industry.       The Year in Review

      On October 7th, 2020 we signed an NDA for the review of a Lithium processing pilot plant.
