TORONTO, ONTARIO, December 11, 2023, - Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. (the “Company” or “Appia”) (CSE: API) (OTCQX: APAAF) (Germany: “A0I0.F”, “A0I0.MU”, “A0I0.BE”) is pleased to announce that, further to the press release of December 4, 2023, it has issued the first tranche of 500,000 shares (the “Shares”) pursuant to the Definitive Agreement (the “Definitive Agreement”) with 3S LTDA (“3S”), Beko Invest Ltd. (“Beko”), Antonio Vitor Junior (“Antonio”) and AZ125 Mineracao Ltda, now known as Appia Brasil Rare Earths Mineracao Ltda (the “Company”) to acquire up to a 70% interest in the PCH Project (the “Transaction”) located in the Tocantins Structural Province of the Brasília Fold Belt, Goiás State, Brazil (the “Property”). Nuclear sector must overcome decades of stagnation to meet COP28 tripling goal

DUBAI, Dec 7 (Reuters) - The global nuclear industry got a morale boost at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai after more than 20 nations vowed to triple capacity by 2050.

But reaching that goal will require the industry to overcome regulatory hurdles, financing obstacles, fuel bottlenecks, and public safety concerns that have contributed to a long history of project delays and decades of stagnation.

It took 70 years to bring global nuclear capacity to the current level of 370 gigawatts (GW), and the industry must now select technologies, raise finance and develop the rules to build another 740 GW in half that time.

"Judging by the international nuclear industry's performance over the past two decades, it is impossible," said Mycle Schneider, lead author of the World Nuclear Industry Status Report.

The declaration, signed by the U.S., France, Britain, South Korea, and others commits countries to mobilise investment and encourage financial institutions like the World Bank to back nuclear power.

It also promises efforts to extend the life of existing plants - with about 200 of 420 reactors around the world scheduled to be decommisioned before 2050 - and support for new technologies like small modular reactors (SMRs).

There are currently 60 commercial reactors under construction in 17 countries across the world, with China accounting for 25, according to the World Nuclear Association.

Ich sehe das Problem aber eher in der fehlenden "Veredelungstechnologie".

- Medallion hat es mittlerweile komplett zerschossen, kann man also abschreiben, Kurs 0,01 CAD!
- Ucore zwar noch mit staatlicher Unterstützung aber (mMn) fernab von einer marktreif und großflächig funktionierenden Technologie bei entsprechender Skalierung
- Rare Element Res mit General Atomics auch mit mehr oder weniger staatlicher Unterstützung im Rücken; dümpeln aber auch ähnlich und langsam wie ucore zwar vorwärts aber weiterhin nicht absehbar, bis man wirklich im Stadium der Separierung "reine" REE produzieren kann.

Dies umfasst dann leichte als auch schwere Seltene Erden...

Gibt auch eigentlich niemanden mehr, der hierzu bissel Input in die Foren bringt, aktuell ein für meinen Geschmack toter Sektor. Wer bleibt da also zur Separierung?

Lynas und private UN zum Beispiel in Korea und Vietnam - soweit ich mich da richtig erinnere. Ob da also dann die Lagerstätte von Appia bzgl. Seltene Erden wirklich gefragt ist, lass ich mal offen. Habe ich so meine Zweifel, kann das aber auch absolut nur laienhaft beurteilen.

Von daher sehe ich perspektivisch erstmal die Phantasie bzgl. Appia bei Uran.

Ich bin ja hier wieder mit einer Miniposition eingestiegen zu 0,102 EUR - ergo aktuell 100% im Plus. Das riecht dann immer nach Gewinn mitnehmen. Was hier aufgrund der Posigröße sowieso einem Komplettverkauf gleichkommen müsste.

Demnach halte ich und schaue ich auf den Chart, ist hier mittel- langfristig ja noch überhaupt nix passiert...
