"STOCKS TO WATCH WITH CNBC`S JOE KERNEN AND DAVID FABER
MAY 2, 2000
SUMMARY: Faber reports on Broadvision (BVSN). Stocks to Watch include: AWE,
ATHM, DIS, PCS, ENER and FRX. Faber comments on AT&T (T).
Mark: Time now for a look at what stocks could be on the move when that
opening bell rings on Wall Street with David Faber.
David: Mark, Broadvision. Broadvision in fact, is the name of the company.
Mark: Yeah.
David: Yes, it is.
Mark: They have vision in terms of leveraging the brand in the broadband.
David: You`ve got it! They are part of the whole move to broadband and
leveraging the brand as Mark just said. I haven`t said that in a while on
the show. Joe: It is easier if you say broad branding.
David: No, I kind of like saying the two phrases because if you bring a CEO on from a new
economy company, that is more or less somewhere in the interview they are doing, they will
say, Mark we are trying to leverage our brand and broadband is very important to us.
Joe: It is up to you.
Mark: Plus it scans well. It could be a rap tune. You`ve got to leverage the brand and the
broadband.
David: There he is, Master M.
Mark: Marky Mark and the Squawk Box bunch.
David: Broadvision says CSFB Echo System is set to explode. Its partner Echo System is set
to explode. They say Broadvision is expanding the system integrator community from 5,000
trained representatives today to 12,000 additional representatives by the end of this year. And
that is a leading indicator of an industry in its infancy says CSFB. They visit with the company,
get a sense there is a lot of momentum behind this business. They
say we still see minor bumps in the road, days of sales outstanding will rise, scaling customer
service to ensure 100% satisfaction and an upgrade to another generation 5.57 release later
this year are all things to could be
bumps in the road. But they believe the stage is set to emerge as top gun in the e-commerce
platform industry. As a result, they upgrade the stock to a strong buy. They already had it
rated a buy, but now is a strong buy at
CSFB. I think there is another firm as well that came out positively on Broadvision.Perhaps
having analysts over and selling them hard on the story, seem to be taking it back and
upgrading the shares. Keep an eye on BVSN. See if it responds positively this morning to a
number of
positive comments, chief among them from the firm of CS First Boston."

Hi IT GURU,
