Hui, was ist denn bei Tupper heute los +70%, da wird es einem ja gleich ganz schwindelig ... totgesagte leben wohl mal wieder länger.

Second Quarter Financial & Operational Updates
-- Second quarter sales down 16% versus last year and 8% in local currency;
excluding estimated COVID-19 impact, sales were estimated to be flat with
last year
-- GAAP diluted E.P.S. of $1.30 versus $0.81 in the prior year period
-- Adjusted* diluted E.P.S. of $0.84 vs. $0.83 in the prior year period
-- Retired approximately $100 million of Senior Notes through cash tender
offers and open market purchases
-- Realized approximately $60 million of $180 million ($150 million net)

The publicly listed company launched on May 26 an offer to repurchase at a deep discount about one-third of a $600 million bond that falls due a year from now. The strategy is to ease financial pressure on the company, increasing its chances of repaying the bond on time and helping it meet guidelines for its various bank loans, a person familiar with the matter said.
Tupperware offered to buy back $175 million face amount of the debt at a price of 45 cents on the dollar and gave bond investors a June 22 deadline to take part in the deal. If it achieves full participation, the company would spend about $79 million to retire the debt early. Boutique investment bank Moelis & Co. is the manager of the transaction and Kirkland & Ellis LLP is acting as legal adviser.

Ich finde es immer besonders ulkig, wenn Forumsteilnehmer sich über andere lustig machen, wenig begründen können und dann angeblich in Werte investieren, die innerhalb von zwei Wochen mehr als 50% verlieren.
