Der Kurs kommt einfach nicht aus den puschen … viel schlimmer noch, dass moderna zumindest kurstechnisch wieder vorbei ist …

Wenn man überlegt, dass jeder Krebs praktisch einzigartig ist und zudem in einer Person eine Krebsart nochmal -zig Untervarianten hat, dann ist die Methode gezielt dagegen vorzugehen ein echter Game Changer.

Und solch eine Methode/Möglichkeit ist vielversprechend bereits in Arbeit.

Bezahlbarer individueller Krebs-Impfstoff für jedermann. Unvorstellbar, zwick mich mal !

Trotzdem, - wegen der Vielfalt, der Komplexität und der Wandlungsfähigkeit des Krebes und der unterschiedlichen Reaktionen eines jeden Menschen, man wird auch vielen Patienten nicht helfen können.

Damit ist das Unternehmen in der Lage, so viel in die Krebsforschung zu investieren, dass ein alter Traum der Strüngmann-Brüder in wenigen Jahren tatsächlich wahr werden könnte: Mit Hilfe der mRNA-Technologie die Behandlung von Krebs einen großen Schritt voranzubringen. Wer den Artikel liest, findet viele Infos. Auch dass sie nicht darüber froh waren, dass Biontech so im Rampenlicht stand und auch von vielen Zockern rauf und runter gehandelt wurde. Sie bleiben lieber im Hintergrund aber sie sind mega zufrieden mit der Entwicklung. Coole alte Säcke sozusagen.

Ich fühle mich sauwohl mit meinem Investment.

What the Biontech financiers are doing with their billions.

The stock market value of their largest investment, Biontech, has fallen, but the ambitions of the Strüngmann brothers have still grown. Quietly, they continue to work toward a big goal.

When the valuation for Biontech skyrocketed in August 2021, the start-up left established companies like Bayer behind, and the media took an interest in the owners' wealth, Thomas Strüngmann (72) heaved a sigh. No, they didn't want all that hoopla, said the man who, together with his brother Andreas (72), holds just under 44 percent of the vaccine manufacturer.

Well, the wish has come true: A year later, the company is worth the equivalent of 35 billion euros, less than half that amount, and the twin brothers and their six children - two of Andreas, four of Thomas - have largely regained their anonymity.

They continue to work quietly on the big goal: to establish a family-dominated group from Germany, following the example of the world's oldest pharmaceutical company, Merck KGaA in Darmstadt. Progress has been made in this respect.

Covid-19 continues to provide Biontech with returns on sales that would be outrageous outside the pharmaceutical industry (well over 50 percent). This puts the company in a position to invest so much in cancer research that an old dream of the Strüngmann brothers could actually come true in a few years: To take the treatment of cancer a big step forward with the help of mRNA technology. The first application for approval could be filed as early as 2025. Whether it will actually work is an open question - as is the case with all leap innovations.

But what definitely worked well again last year was the persistent building of a corporate empire run by the brothers' family offices, the Swiss Santo Holding and the Munich-based Athos Service GmbH. More than 30 holdings are gathered in it, not infrequently one owns the majority or is the largest shareholder. The constant flow of dividends - Biontech alone earned the brothers almost 250 million euros last year - demands constant initiative. Almost everything revolves around the topic of health, often including biotech. The brothers now control the asset managers' management from the advisory board, not without occasionally presenting concrete investment proposals.
One of their most recent successes is their involvement in Formycon, a German biotech company that received approval for a biosimilar for the first time this summer. The company is now replicating an ophthalmic drug made by Switzerland's Roche. Formycon, in which the Strüngmanns hold a 27 percent stake, was worth more than a billion euros in September.
At Roche's Basel neighbor Novartis, however, the brothers remain at a distance. In the end, they did not bid for the Sandoz generics division, nor did a number of financial investors. One reason for the lack of interest: The unit, formerly called Hexal and a baby of the Strüngmann brothers, is now so closely intertwined with the Novartis Group that it would have taken years to actually run the company separately. As a result, the necessary consistent job cuts would hardly have been possible. Now Novartis is trying it with an IPO.
However, the brothers have not quite said goodbye to the generics business. Just in September, Thomas Strüngmann flew to Montevideo to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Megalabs. The company, which is largely unknown in Germany and does business primarily with generic products, is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Latin America - and is fully controlled by the brothers.

Simply mega, these Strüngmanns? Thomas, at any rate, says despite the book losses at Biontech, "We're very, very pleased."
