Crowdstrike übernimmt ASPM-Anbieter Bionic

Crowdstrike will seine Falcon-Plattform ausbauen und kauft zu diesem Zweck den ASPM-Anbieter Bionic. Die Übernahme soll im dritten Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres abgeschlossen werden.

Crowdstrike kauft mit Bionic einen Anbieter im Bereich Application Security Posture Management (ASPM). Künftig will der Security-Anbieter seine Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) Falcon um ASPM erweitern und Unternehmen eine umfassende Risikotransparenz sowie Schutz für den gesamten Cloud-Bereich bieten – von der Cloud-Infrastruktur bis hin zu den darin laufenden Anwendungen und Diensten.

"Die Cloud ist das neue Schlachtfeld der Cybersicherheit, doch die bisherige Antwort der Branche waren unzusammenhängende punktuelle Sicherheitstools oder 'Plattformen' mit mehreren Konsolen und Agenten", kritisiert George Kurtz, Mitbegründer und CEO bei Crowdstrike. Der Anbieter liefere daher Schutz gegen alle Cloud-Sicherheitsrisiken über eine zentrale Plattform. Und mit dem Kauf von Bionic baue man die eigene Position im Bereich Cloud-Sicherheit nun weiter aus.

Die Ankündigung der Akquisition folgt auf die Vorstellung der Zahlen von Crowdstrike für das zweite Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2024. Demnach stieg der Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), der jährlich wiederkehrende Umsatz, im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 70 Prozent auf 296 Millionen Dollar. HSBC hat laut einem aktuellen Bericht am Freitag die Berichterstattung über Crowdstrike Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:CRWD) mit einer Kaufempfehlung aufgenommen. Das einjährige Kursziel für das Cybersicherheitsunternehmen liegt bei durchschnittlich 184,89 $, was einem Anstieg von 8,30% gegenüber dem letzten Schlusskurs von 170,73 $ entspricht.

Starke Gewinnprognose von Crowdstrike

An den Zahlen von Crowdstrike (US22788C1053) war nichts auszusetzen. Der Spezialist für Cybersecurity verbesserte alle seinen Kennzahlen, nachdem die neue KI-gestützte Plattform Falcon für ein starkes Neugeschäft sorgte.
Im 2. Fiskalquartal erreichte man einen Umsatz von 741,6 Mio. US-Dollar und einen „bereinigten“ Gewinn von 0,47 US-Dollar je Aktie. Beides lag über den offiziellen Schätzungen.
Auch hob das Management die Jahresprognose für das „bereinigte“ Ergebnis von bisher 2,32 bis 2,43 US-Dollar je Aktie auf nun 2,80 bis 2,84 US-Dollar je Aktie.
Die Umsatzprognose senkte das Management allerdings leicht am unteren Ende der Spanne von 3,03 auf 3,00 Mrd. US-Dollar. Die Aktien sanken daraufhin zunächst im nachbörslichen Handel, konnten am Ende aber leicht um 0,58 % höher bei 150,05 US-Dollar schließen.

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) today announced the CrowdStrike Falcon platform is now certified in the Spanish National Cryptologic Center (CCN) STIC Products and Services Catalog (CPSTIC) at the 'high' level. CrowdStrike is the only modern endpoint security platform product with the highest achievable level of accreditation possible. This new designation is for both the antivirus/endpoint protection platform (EPP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) categories, and is the latest in a series of impactful government certifications for CrowdStrike, which opens the door for the cybersecurity leader to securely protect the most sensitive unclassified IT assets across the Spanish Government.

The Spanish CPSTIC qualification comes within weeks of CrowdStrike being granted Impact Level 5 (IL5) authorization from the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to secure a broad range of unclassified National Security Systems (NSS).
