Zuerst einmal hier gut durchlüften. Hier sind die Posts ja seit Jahren eingeschlafen. Mehr folgt demnächst.

Was ist interessant an Biocartis:
Das Geschäftsmodell, kompakte Analytikgeräte für kleine bis mittlere Anwender, die schnelle Resultate haben wollen.
Geringere Investsumme für das Gerät, dafür höhere Betriebskosten durch das Kassettensystem, vergleichbar mit dem System bei Heimdrucker. Drucker kostet fast nichts, die Druckerpatrone dafür viel.
Man bewegt sich mit den Produkten im Bereich der personalisierten Medizin. Durch die Analytik wird für den Patienten die optimale Medikamentation ermittelt, damit wird Wirkung und Kosten optimiert.
Das Produkt ist am Markt platziert und die Umsätze sind ansprechend und dynamisch.
Ein Covid Testset soll noch in diesem Jahr eingeführt.
Man ist gut vernetzt mit grossen Partner. und hat interessante Ankeraktionäre.
Ein Übernahmeversuch ist jederzeit möglich
Es ist zur Zeit wenig Euphorie im Aktienkurs zu erkennen.

Was gefällt mir nicht so:
Die Kosten, man dreht ein grosses Rad, ca 38 mio Umsatz, 100 mio Kosten, welche durch die hohen Vorlaufleistungen bedingt sind.
Es ist mit weiteren Kapitalerhöhungen zu rechnen.
Die Firma ist mit 400 MA sehr klein und der Analytikmarkt ist hart umkämpft.

Outlook Commercial cartridge volume: Targeting a year-over-year commercial volume growth in the range of 30%, representing a volume of Idylla cartridges in the range of 228k. Idylla installed base: Targeting an installed base growth in the range of 300-350 new Idylla instruments placements. Idylla test menu outlook: COVID-19 impacted and delayed various partner projects. Furthermore, mobilizing resources for the development of the Idylla SARS-CoV-2 Test affected the planning of certain other projects. Analog zu anderen Diagnostik Firmen zB Roche, ist der Umsatz der Standartdiagnostik durch C19 rückläufig, da Arztbesuche aufgeschoben werden bzw Betten für C19 vorgehalten sind. Der C19 Test ist für Biocartis aus meiner Sicht nur die Komplettierung der einsetzbaren Testreihen. Biocartis ist für mich ein mittelfristiges Invest.

SeptiCyte RAPID is a host-response test1 that distinguishes sepsis from non-infectious systemic inflammation in patients suspected of sepsis and provides actionable results in about one hour. The test was developed by Biocartis’ partner Immunexpress Pty Ltd (‘Immunexpress’), a Seattle-based (US) molecular diagnostics company, and is now being released as part of Biocartis’ exclusive commercialization2 of SeptiCyte RAPID on Idylla in Europe. Sepsis is the body’s life-threatening response to infection, which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death3. A recent scientific publication by The Lancet estimated that in 2017 there were 48.9 million cases and 11 million sepsis-related deaths worldwide, which accounted for almost 20% of all global deaths4. Early and rapid diagnosis of sepsis is furthermore essential to avoid unnecessary hospital costs or overuse of antibiotics, which leads to greater antibiotic resistance among vulnerable patient populations. Current diagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis of sepsis are often unreliable and slow. At the virtual e-ISICEM symposium5 held between 15-18 September 2020, Immunexpress presented clinical validation data6 which demonstrated comparable and reproducible results between Immunexpress’ existing US FDA-cleared test, SeptiCyte LAB, and SeptiCyte RAPID on Idylla. These data are the first validation of a rapid, fully-integrated, reproducible, immune response-based sepsis diagnostic test6.

HV am 14. Mai mit positivem Ausblick auf die Zukunft, auch dank Covid.
2020 schloss weiterhin mit Verlust ab, Cash ist aber noch genug für 2021 da.

Trotzdem wird eine Kapitalerhöhung notwendig werden. Dazu wird eine weitere HV angesetzt.

Allerdings sind die Umstände für die kleineren Aktionäre dabei wenig erfreulich:

- it appears to be necessary to be able to respond quickly to certain market opportunities;
- there is a financing need, whereby the relevant market circumstances are not appropriate for an offering or issuance to all shareholders;

Es werden also wohl wieder nur Finanzinvestoren und Risikokapitalgeber eingeladen, die natürlich entsprechende Abschläge zu früheren Kursen beanspruchen.

Tja, hier braucht man Geduld oder man zieht weiter. Da es bei mir zur Zeit nur ein Startinvest ist, bleibe ich noch investiert.
